A mum from Newark has told Capital she's so proud of her five-year-old son who has been told he has an incurable brain tumor.

Amanda Andrew's son, Liam, was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) at the QMC earlier this month.

Treatment on the NHS will only allow him to extend his life for up to a year, but his family are trying to raise up to £500,000 to get him experimental treatment that could prolong his life.
