Best-selling conservative author Jonah Goldberg discusses his newest book "Suicide of the West."

Political writer Jonah Goldberg, a Senior Fellow at the National Review Institute and Senior Editor at the National Review, is a best-selling author and syndicated weekly opinion columnist for the Los Angeles Times.

In his just-published book “Suicide of the West: How the Rebirth of Tribalism, Populism, Nationalism and Identity Politics is Destroying American Democracy,” Goldberg argues that the rise of both liberal and conservative populism threatens to undermine America’s fundamental ideals.

"Suicide of the West" is drawing national acclaim with robust reviews.

He has appeared on national television programs, including Good Morning America, Nightline, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Real Time with Bill Maher, Larry King Live, the Glenn Beck Program and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Goldberg has written for The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, Commentary, The Weekly Standard, The New York Post and Slate. His political topics include censorship, meritocracy, liberty, federalism and interpretation of the U.S. Constitution.

Goldberg is a graduate of Goucher College.
