The mum of Derbyshire backpacker Mia Ayliffe-Chung, who was stabbed to death in Australia, has told Capital it's important two men who tried to save her are honoured for their bravery. Rosie Ayliffe is from Wirksworth:

Two men who tried to save a British backpacker - who was stabbed to death in Australia - are receiving a Queen's Gallentry Medal for bravery. 

Mia Ayliffe Chung from Derbyshire died two years ago in a hostel in Queensland - after being attacked by a man who became obsessed with her.  

Tom Jackson was killed in the attack as he tried to protect her - and Daniel Richards was seriously injured.
