Episode #55 feat. Anthony 'Aff' Caruso of Hellions
If you're not on the Hellions bandwagon yet, boy you're missing out on some good quality, genre-crossing punk/alt rock. The legends from Sydney spawned from the ashes of the band The Bride (RIP) and have since bypassed and exceeded all expectations first thought, moving fast into the top position of Australia's heavy music echelon and establishing themselves as a band who are beloved by fans and critics alike.
They're back with album number four Rue, which follows on from the success they had with their last release, the ARIA Award Nominated Opera Oblivia but according to drummer Anthony 'Aff' Caruso (who joins us on co-hosting duties this week), no matter how much success or attention they receive, they're still nowhere near realising the extent of their popularity. To him, they're still just four best mates, making music and trying to learn/grow as humans in the process. Their new album is fantastic and focuses on themes of self-encouragement and changing your ways to benefit your future, something we all need to take on board for the benefit of mankind.
Also this week podcast host Browny discusses our MASSIVE UNIFY Intern Competition which could see you winning a Double Pass to UNIFY Gathering 2019 and the opportunity to not only cover the festival for us, but interview bands from the lineup too.
There's also new music from Papa Roach, The Comfort, 23/19, Basement and Tom Morello, throwbacks from Panic! At The Disco, Drown This City, The Last Martyr and Tonight Alive + heaps more...
