Friends we are back with another episode, we will discussing our introduction and experiences to higher education with special guest Richard Campos. Richard has served as a student leader on the Weber State University Student Association Diversity Board as the College Programs Chair; as well as, worked in the Center for Multicultural Excellence in the Peer Mentor Program as a Peer Mentor and Graduate Intern. During his time as a Peer Mentor and Graduate Intern he assisted with transition of first-year scholars as well as challenging and empowering them in taking opportunities out of their comfort zones. He is a current graduate student at Ohio University working on his Master’s of Higher Education in College Student Personnel. Currently he works as a Graduate Assistant for Supplemental Instruction in the Academic Achievement Center, and conducts research on whiteness in higher education, the mental health of undocumented students, and the role music can be used to educate higher education staff in critically looking at diversity and inclusion.
