US growth was excellent in 2018, and is likely not to be substantially better. Despite the best efforts of globalist presidents back to Jimmy Carter to make us more dependent on the world economy, we’re pretty independent. My impression is that most of the mfg jobs movement out of China is going to low-cost countries in SE Asia and a little to Mexico. Most foreign companies still operating in China are transfixed by the fantasy of making fortunes there. Not only will they not complain, but the Chinese Communist government is so secretive that the US is unable to discern if it’s [improving its conduct or not].
