Exit Interview with Maj. Alanda Scott Outgoing Commander of UK Engineering Contingent in South Sudan

Major Alanda Scott, is the female UK Engineering contingent commander with the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan. 

She has been commanding the UK Engineering Task Force which arrived in South Sudan in July 2018 and is now winding up its service.

One of her tasks was to oversee the upgrading the road to Nyaodi town to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to that part of the country. 

They also installed solar lights in the Protection of Civilians site in Bentiu to ensure protection of civilians sheltered there.

In this exclusive interview, before she hands over to the new commander, Major Alanda explains in more detail what her accomplishments were during her service in South Sudan.
