Faithcast is the weekly faith podcast from www.catholicnews.ie, the news source for the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

Presented by Brenda Drumm, Faithcast is a mixture of interviews, news and stories of faith from the Catholic Church in Ireland.

In Episode 32, Brenda speaks to Archbishop Eamon Martin, Archbishop of Armagh and President of the Irish Catholic Bishops' Conference, about the Day of Prayer for Survivors and Victims of abuse and his expectations for the special meeting in Rome to discuss child safeguarding. Brenda also speaks to Bishop Denis Nulty, President of Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service, at the Shrine of Saint Valentine in Dublin where this week he blessed engaged couple Emer and Killian and facilitated the release of the 2018 returns for Accord’s marriage preparation and marriage and relationship counselling.

The faith news this week features the Diocese of Clogher’s welcome for their new bishop; Accord’s release of their 2018 returns for marriage preparation and counselling; Pope Francis’ appeal to government leaders to confront the causes of human trafficking; and, the recognition of a miracle attributed to Cardinal John Henry Newman clearing him for canonisation.
