In April and May 2015, Dallas Police Lt. Eno Fite led an investigation into a claim that council member Scott Griggs had threatened to break the fingers of assistant city attorney Bilierae Johnson. During the course of that investigation, Fite recorded interviews with Johnson about the incident, as well as with City Attorney Warren Ernst, City Secretary Rosa Rios, Assistant City Attorney Lindsey Kramer and others in an effort to understand what happened. The following recordings were provided to The Dallas Morning News late last month in response to an Open Records Request.

Fite, Ernst and Rios have since retired from City Hall. Johnson was promoted to city secretary. Griggs is a mayoral candidate.
