Episode 2: Tales from Guatemala and Syria

Hosted by comedian Colm O’Regan, The World Etc. is a monthly look at issues affecting people around the world. Episode 2 features interviews with RTÉ broadcaster John Creedon and Syrian-Irish journalist Razan Ibraheem. 

John recently traveled to Guatemala to see first-hand how the battle for land rights affects indigenous Mayan communities living under the threat of evictions by big business, while Razan tells Colm how Ireland has become a second home having left Syria just a few months after the start of the ongoing conflict which is now into its ninth year.
