S16E08 - Cronenberging your Tamagotchi

May 31, 09:10 AM

Join the Rob's as they chat about Games of Thrones Season 8; Chris Rock and SAW; Huawei Vs Google; Google bettering radiologists; Amazon gameifying their warehouses; Wasps; the Back to the Future musical; Tamagotchi evolutions; more weird proxies, and stretching the very limit of what it means to be art. Tune in for all this and a whole lot more, but until next time - Long Live the Pixelated Flesh.

After establishing our status as award-winning swimmers (25 metres), The Geek Show returns for another dip in the shallower end of science and technology news, and kicking things off this week is the backlash against the poorly-written final season of Game of Thrones, which has culminated in a petition for the entirety of the 8th season to be rewritten (so that spoiler insurance policy is probably null and void).

In other news, the horror movie franchise SAW is getting a reboot, Google join the U.S. assault on Huawei, Amazon want to turn warehouse work into a game, a scientist is calling for a re-branding of wasps, a certain time-travelling movie has been re-imagined as a stage musical, researchers want to find out why coffee makes you poo, Tamagotchi has evolved, professional quarrellers for hire, and the auction of a bizarre art project.

Tune in for all this and a whole lot more, but until next time - Long Live the Pixelated Flesh!
