Today’s episode carries us back to the North, to one of the country’s biggest footballing cities. 

Things are on the up in Liverpool with both of its Premier League clubs enjoying relative purple patches in recent years. The red half of Liverpool, though, has had the better of it with Jurgen Klopp’s side picking up a Champions League title in their second consecutive final. 

In the Premier League, though, it was a different matter: 97 points, it turned out, not being enough to take the trophy off Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. 

So as next season looms, the question becomes: have Liverpool hit their ceiling? Is there anything that they can do to knock City off their perch? Or should they focus their efforts on yet another Champions League final?
