MiningMaven Podcast 114 - with Michael McNeilly of Metal Tiger (MTR)

Jun 28, 2019, 10:44 AM
Today’s guest on the MiningMaven podcast is Michael McNeilly, Chief Executive Officer of Metal Tiger PLC (LSE:MTR). This week the company released an announcement regarding a takeover offer for MOD Resources (LSE:MOD) by Sandfire which should be worth around £23m to Metal Tiger. Michael runs through the transaction in depth, highlighting its worth to the company; not only in immediate value but also the potential the 2pc net smelter royalty offers longer-term. Michael also explains the rationale behind electing to receive Sandfire shares in lieu of cash consideration for Metal Tiger’s stake in MOD, and the firm's future plans.

This interview was recorded on 27th June 2019.
