Rick Welts (@RickWelts), President & COO Golden State Warriors and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer joins Brian Berger for a wide-ranging conversation on Sports Business Radio. 

Welts discusses his Hall of Fame career that spans nearly 40 years and includes stints with the Seattle SuperSonics, NBA league office, Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. Welts, who is credited with the creation of NBA All-Star Weekend, reflects on how the NBA has changed during his tenure and what lies ahead for the Golden State Warriors and the NBA.

Welts also previews the opening of the brand new Chase Center in San Francisco. The state-of-the-art arena will play home to the Golden State Warriors and 200 events per year including major concerts. The Chase Center was financed 100% privately with no tax payer money and is set to open in early September.
