Faithcast is the weekly faith podcast from, the news source for the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

Presented by Brenda Drumm, Faithcast is a mixture of interviews, news and stories of faith from the Catholic Church in Ireland.

Episode 57 of Faithcast features an interview with Father Willie Purcell, a priest of the Diocese of Ossory and member of the Bishops' Council for Immigrants, on the World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2019. 

The faith news this week features Archbishop Eamon Martin’s commemoration of two Papal visits with a prayer service at the Papal Cross near Drogheda, Co Louth; Bishop Donal McKeown’s tribute to the late Bishop Séamus Hegarty’s commitment to emigrants; Pope Francis’ comments to those working in communications to be witnesses and to offer a glimpse of beauty, truth and hope in our work; and Archbishop Diarmuid Martin’s donation of the Knockatemple Hand-Bell to the National Museum of Ireland. 

Also included in this week’s podcast is a short litany ‘It’s Not Just About Migrants’ based on Pope Francis’ message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees.
