The faith news this week features the Irish Catholic Bishops’ call for a time of prayer and action for unborn life; the launch of the ‘Laudato Tree’ project to coincide with the Extraordinary Month of Mission; the first ordination to the permanent diaconate in the Diocese of Ferns; the Synod for the Amazon; and, the joint statement from the leaders of the main churches following their meeting with the Northern Ireland Secretary of State, the Rt Hon Julian Smith MP.
