A Footballer’s Autobiography With A Difference

Dave Thomas played for some of the biggest English football clubs in the seventies and eighties, with teams so eager to sign him, a record breaking transfer fee was paid for one move.

His magic footwork even earned him several international appearances for England, and when the chance to play in Canada came knocking, he grabbed the opportunity.

His new book looks back at his career, as well as life after football, but is dominated by his deteriorating sight and life changing guide dog.

RNIB Connect Radio’s Allan Russell spoke to Dave to hear more about the book, and his four-legged friend.
