Economic losses of more than 17000 crores reported in Kashmir

Kashmir suffers from economic losses of more than Rs.17,000 crores, says the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry report, following the Jammu and Kashmir reorientation and the internet shutdown. They say that tourism, handicrafts and horticultural trade have been majorly impacted. 

According to the Global Cost of Internet Shutdowns in 2019 report, India has lost $1.3 million in 2019 due to Internet Shutdowns.
