We had this chat in the ring at Kyoujin MMA in Belfast; Pete was gracious with his time and covered a myriad of topics including the early days of MMA alongside Andy Ryan and John Kavanagh at SBG, fighting for a World Title on just 2 days notice, what it takes to become a top official in the sport (including a fantastic breakdown of the term "Intelligent Defense" and how Referees are thinking during the fights)
Pete was also Head Doorman at one of the World's Best Comedy Clubs: "The Empire" in Belfast, so he shares a little bit about that as well as his thoughts on the most controversial deal in Sports: the UFC Reebok sponsorship deal.

I am fascinated in what it takes to become elite in any sporting endeavour, and Pete's insight as a Coach is second-to-none; he tells us about his experience, and illustrates his point by recounting a chat he had with Superstar "The Notorious" Conor McGregor
