Season 1 | Episode 20: Kyle Strickland

On this episode, we were joined by Kyle Strickland, the Senior Legal Analyst at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race & Ethnicity. The goal of the Kirwan Institute is to connect individuals and communities with opportunities needed for thriving by educating the public, building the capacity of allied social justice organizations, and investing in efforts that support equity and inclusion. Prior to joining Kirwan, Kyle earned his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he served as Student Body President. Kyle, a native of Columbus, earned his B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University. He describes his passion for being a part of the solution, implementing policy, and how that has been instrumental throughout his professional journey. Kyle mentioned during his undergraduate career he recognized there is power in your voice and words. He shared with athletes the importance of understanding your influence, community engagement, ways to build your resume, and it’s never too early to be a part of the shift in the world.
