On this episode, Jimmy Carpenter speaks to Dr Michael Mosley about how he created the 5:2 diet.

We talk about the process of reversing type 2 diabetes, fasting, gut bacteria, being vegan and that Netflix programme ‘Game Changers’, plus our mental health in lockdown. He says that the research shows if you eat junk food, you’re more likely to experience a higher rate of depression.

Dr Michael Mosley not only created the 5:2 diet but he’s presented on the BBC’s Trust Me I’m a Doctor, Horizon and Coronavirus programmes. He’s written several best-selling books from gut health and sleep, to fasting and fitness.
