Delyn constituency has been held by Labour since 1992. But that all changed a year ago, when the Conservatives usurped David Hanson, who had been the Labour MP since then.

Of course, he wasn't alone in Wales, with other so-called 'red wall' seats including Wrexham, Ynys Mon and Bridgend going Tory. So what happened in Wales? What were the Welsh-specific dynamics which meant this previous bastion of anti-Tory sentiment went blue?
