Police in France looking into links between the former head of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, and a suspected prostitution ring have asked to expand their inquiry to include gang rape allegations.
Mr Strauss-Kahn is under investigation over his activities at sex parties in Lille, Paris and Washington.
