Invisible in their own city, West Palm Beach’s immigrant community has been devastated by both the pandemic and Florida’s political indifference towards migrant labor. Julio Ricardo Varela speaks with Maricela Torres, executive director of the Esperanza Community Center, about the challenges faced by a community largely ignored in the greater immigration discussion.
