Digne Take Him Too Long

Episode 161,  Jan 25, 01:30 PM

It goes from bad to worse for Everton, as Lucas Digne made an immediate impact on his return to Goodison Park, providing the assist to Emi Buendia's winner. While Aakarsh was not around to rant about his beloved Toffees, Amogh was full of glee at Man United's back to back victories over Brentford and West Ham! Against all odds, United now find themselves in 4th spot. Who would have thunk it? After the Brentford victory, Bees manager Thomas Frank was not too pleased, maybe his mercury is in retrograde!

Meanwhile Watford slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Norwich, which also gave us a goal of the season contender in Josh Sargent's scorpion kick. This result takes Norwich OUT OF THE RELEGATION ZONE! But this also means Ranieri's position as manager of Watford is under threat. (UPDATE: Ranieri was sacked 30 minutes after we finished recording. What ya, Watford.)

We also talk about the Indian Womens Football Team and their abrupt end to the AFC Womens Asian Cup, thanks to a COVID outbreak in the camp. Devastating, disappointing, but we're all behind you, Tigresses!
