After John threatened to murder Connie over a phone conversation John also left Darrel two voicemails of his threats prior to going to Auburn Police Departments Sergeant Pecoraco. Pecoraro failed to do a back ground check on John Bartsch where he would have learned of his premeditated motive for lying to APD.
