Meet TOD, BeIN’s new streaming platform for the MENA region
John-Paul McKerlie, vice president of sales and marketing at TOD, tells Nick Meacham and Chris Stone about the launch of BeIN Media Group's new streaming service and the role of sport on the platform.
Launched in March this year, TOD offers subscribers access to more than 10,000 hours of entertainment content in addition to pay-TV broadcaster BeIN Sports’ coverage of premium properties like English soccer's Premier League and the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Months after the platform went live, McKerlie outlines the unique challenges of launching a streaming service in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and explains how TOD has been performing so far.
He also outlines the role sport plays for TOD and discusses the potential for this winter’s Fifa World Cup in Qatar to drive subscribers to the platform.
