January 21st: Ilan Halimi Kidnapped (2006)
Preconceived notions can be dangerous. On January 21st 2006 a young man, just 23 years old, was kidnapped simply because of the fact that he was Jewish and, as far as this group was concerned, all Jewish people had enough money to pay a hefty ransom. He would end up paying the ultimate consequence because of their preconceived notion and antisemitism.
