Richard Forsythe Interview Part 5, Did John Forsythe Sacrifice Himself for Family's Safety?

Episode 9,   Oct 20, 2023, 11:00 PM

What lengths would someone go to, to protect their loved ones from a looming danger?
In a recent episode of the podcast "Hidden Killers," host Tony Brueski dives deep into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Dr. John Forsythe with his brother, Richard Forsythe. The narrative that unfolds is one of confusion, pain, and countless questions.

"Why didn't he do just the simplest of things to assure his estate if he was contemplating his demise?" Richard wondered aloud, painting a picture of a man who deeply cared about his work, family, and multiple ventures. This includes the murky world of cryptocurrency and cutting-edge mathematical research.

For a man deeply involved in many potentially influential spheres, it seemed odd that John would leave his affairs in such disarray. His estate lay unmanaged, and with dependent children left behind, Richard said, "everything we work to build is crumbling."

Richard questions whether John knew his death was imminent. "He claimed that if he said more, it would put others in danger," he recalls. This detail adds another layer to the mystery - did John sacrifice himself to protect others?

It's a perplexing puzzle. On one hand, John was a brilliant individual with undeniable talent and a knack for hiding information. But on the other, he was a vulnerable man who might have been taken advantage of, either by external entities or organized crime rings.

Brueski speculates, "Could he have been belligerent to the end? Could he have basically just said, 'no, you're going to have to kill me because I'm not going to do X, Y, or Z,' thinking his death would secure the safety of those around him?" This perspective, though grim, is not entirely impossible.

Bringing more darkness to the narrative, Richard points out the audacity of the killers. The act of kidnapping a prominent member of society, crossing state lines, and then disposing of the body on a tourist-filled lake during Memorial Day week is "absurd," unless the perpetrators believed they were above the law.

The Forsythe brothers' practice of encrypting their data and communications adds another dimension to the investigation. If the truth lies hidden within encrypted communication, it may be nearly impossible to uncover. "My brother was regularly in the habit of engaging in [encrypted communication], then they're not going to get that information," Richard admitted. He further hinted that the investigation may need to explore the world of cryptocurrency and the unique challenges it presents.

Richard also raised concerns about potentially rattling a "hornet's nest" by hiring a private investigator. "They may not appreciate us poking around for answers," he warned, indicating the possible dangers of confronting whoever might be behind this.

The tragic demise of Dr. John Forsythe remains a mystery filled with more questions than answers. As the podcast episode concludes, Richard voices his hope for a miracle and calls for someone with information to come forward.

In a world brimming with complex technologies and intricate networks, how do you find the truth behind one man's death?
