First up, Orascoptic recently announced the launch of the HDL Ergo 5.0x loops. They incorporate state of the art refractive prisms, and they're the highest magnification loops in Orascoptic's Ergo product line. These ergonomic loops are designed to enable clinicians to maintain an upright posture during procedures significantly reducing neck tilt and promoting better health designed to simplify procedures while enhancing aesthetics and consistency.
Keystone Dental's new GENESIS ACTIVE implant system was developed based on over a decade of research and development. The versatile system features various abutment options and a range of other innovative features. Notably the AnaTite pink anodization process of the coronal aspect of the implants mimics natural soft tissue, enhancing the mucogingival seal. The BioSparks surface treatment on the body of the implants promotes rapid osseointegration for immediate load protocols. With the Digital Guidance Sleeves, you can simplify implant placement, and the conical implant connection is designed to ensure a secure interface with high mechanical stability. The GENESIS ACTIVE implant system aims to provide a comprehensive solution for efficient and precise dental implant procedures.
ZenSeal bio-ceramic endodontic sealer from Kerr is a calcium silicate based material with optimal flowability, allowing it to adhere tightly to dentin and gutta-percha in both simple and complex root canal cases. Available in a convenient single syringe delivery system to minimize product waste per application, ZenSeal can be used on an average of 9 more teeth when compared to one of the leading sealers on the market, according to Kerr.
Nexa3D recently launched the x Cure Desktop UV curing system, which supports three different wavelengths and can reportedly reduce post processing time by as much as 80%. Encased in a rugged anodized metal enclosure for optimal durability, the xCure Desktop is designed to complete curing most parts in less than 10 minutes. The system operates with predefined curing workflows to create a seamless and efficient post processing solution.
3D Systems recently received FDA 510(k) clearance for its NextDent Base material. The third generation of the company's denture base materials, NextDent Base is optimized to offer a high break resistance along with precise printability. This durable and impact resistant material, available in four common gingiva shades, serves as an efficient and effective alternative to traditional denture base materials for full and partial dentures.
Retainer Club recently announced the launch of its new RC2 platform designed for DSOs, orthodontists, and individual practices. RC2 provides online retainer ordering and free home deliver,y a custom smile care plan incorporating post treatment support, analytics for actionable insights, revenue optimization, new patient marketing through digital advertising, and patient management and engagement to ensure awareness of treatment plans and updates.
Updates to Dentsply Sirona's DS Core cloud platform expands functionality and further strengthen the connection between dental professionals, labs, specialists, and other collaborators. Among the enhancements is the introduction of the Communication Canvas, which is designed to enable efficient and illustrative communication with patients. Its user interface allows clinicians to arrange patient images, such as x-rays, scans, and photos in a way that best illustrates the treatment plan. Additionally, DS Core viewer function now supports STL and PLY data formats, which makes the platform more compatible with third party intraoral scanners. Also, the new unified ordering system is designed to simplify communication between clinicians and dental labs.
Finally, this week, Overjet recently announced its received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Periapical radiolucency (PARL) Assist software. The new solution is designed to aid dentists by identifying and segmenting instances of radiolucency is on periapical radiographs for patients aged 12 and above. To develop PARL Assist, clinicians annotated tens of thousands of clinically validated instances of periapical radiolucencies across diverse clinical scenarios, which were used to train overjet algorithms. The reference standard testing set was meticulously created with multi consensus agreement by expert US licensed endodontists.
