also some heartfelt times and

but you really it's

kind of like watching like a film about cavemen,

like learning things and trying to understand the world and

being unable to,

you know, have struggling with things like learning how to count.

And they do some things

that I'm like, Well,

are they stupid? How do they not know?

How do they not know what to do here?

Come on.

And then I think about like, having kids and how little they know, right?

And I don't know where the Sasquatch fall.

Like,

are they not as intelligent as a crow?

Well, we all seems like it's like a second grader.

Intelligence or third grader intelligence.

It's so quirky. Just the whole film. It's.

They're talking to each other, but a little bit.

And they're they're making discoveries about life and about each other.

a lot of laughs along the way.

I think this is definitely the kind of film that if I

if I knew somebody was working on

like a piece where they had to really get involved in

like physical movement, I'd be like, You need to see this

film Sasquatch Sunset, because the way the actors

that does the phenomenal job of portraying the Sasquatch,

00;07;26;01 - 00;07;29;01
they just do, It's

00;07;29;15 - 00;07;31;25
like you forget,

00;07;31;25 - 00;07;34;13
like, I mean, you don't recognize Jesse Eisenberg, right?

00;07;34;13 - 00;07;35;17
With all the makeup. So,

00;07;36;16 - 00;07;38;17
like, he had to go tell people

00;07;38;17 - 00;07;41;17
he's into it because you would never know from the clips.

00;07;41;23 - 00;07;44;15
But they just do a fantastic job

00;07;44;15 - 00;07;47;15
of, like, transforming themselves into these

00;07;48;00 - 00;07;50;01
creatures.

00;07;50;01 - 00;07;52;02
And this isn't like green screen.

So, like these they have movement with the head full on practical makeup, right?

So that that clearly took hours to get into and they're able

00;08;03;08 - 00;08;08;00
to communicate everything across with this still in makeup and covered.

And I think that's pretty incredible for actors.

So this this is definitely an actor's film in that sense.

The story is like

I go back and forth on

whether I liked the actual story because it is just the

00;08;28;08 - 00;08;31;24
it is kind of a slice of life, like a year, a year in the life of.

And while this is probably the most important year

00;08;35;17 - 00;08;39;16
in the life of these four sasquatches,

00;08;42;00 - 00;08;45;02
it it spends a

00;08;45;02 - 00;08;49;20
lot of time on trivial things in life and discoveries because, like,

00;08;49;29 - 00;08;53;15
you get the sense that these sasquatches have never seen

00;08;53;15 - 00;08;56;15
anything human made before, Right?

00;08;57;02 - 00;09;00;22
And so maybe this is the first time that they're finally

00;09;01;03 - 00;09;04;25
they've been tracking along, living somewhere away from humans.

00;09;05;14 - 00;09;08;14
And they're just discovering things Like

00;09;10;05 - 00;09;12;17
there's a moment where they discover a road,

00;09;12;17 - 00;09;17;25
like a pavement road, and they lose their mind.

00;09;17;25 - 00;09;23;25
Like, actually, they're losing their mind because they can't process what it is.

00;09;25;21 - 00;09;29;17
And for that, for this, this must be the first time.

00;09;29;17 - 00;09;33;10
Because unless they have really horrible memories and maybe they do this

every year, they freak out.

But the sense I get from it is they'd never seen this before.

So you are getting to see them make discoveries

about sort of the intrusion of man into the forest.

I would even say probably the

lessons of the film, probably involve

there's probably some environmentalism messages in it

about like we're encroaching into things that we don't even know about,

that we're having effects on

natural things

that deserve better.

Probably some message about the well, I think it would take a lot of deep

talking to figure out what the lesson of this film are.

So let me let me just say, the best parts of the film is the acting.

But by far,

I think the concept is interesting.

It's an interesting concept.

It's never, never seen anything like this.

the worst part of the film is that

necessarily deeply engaging,

though, I guess

that would add to one of the benefits

of that of a short film of of of being a short a short movie.

It's a pretty good short swiftness.

to spend any more time in there, so they cut it off at a good time.

Real good job with the editing and setting the tone of the film.

I could see that being tough.

I think this film is going to do this.

I do think this film is going to struggle to find an audience because it's so

there's something so much absurdism

about the whole thing that I think it will turn off a lot of people.

And that's just my opinion.

But I think it is rewatchable.
