Welcome back to Scared All The Time. I'm Chris Cullari.
And I'm Ed Voccola.
And this week, well, there's no show this week. If you're a weekly listener, you probably already know that. If you somehow missed the three or four times we've mentioned it, surprise, we're on break to write and record some new episodes, because it is just the two of us, and we do have day jobs, so we kinda need to build that time in so that we can launch season three. But we wanted to do a bonus housekeeping episode to introduce you to our premium service that's launching today. And also, are we calling it premium service?
It's what people tell us to call it, I don't know.
Okay, great. So premium service.
Yeah, Scared All The Time Premium.
Scared All The Time Premium. This has been in the works for a little bit. You've probably heard us talking about it. We finally got all of our ducks in a row, and we're excited.
You can go to our website, scaredaltimepodcast.com. You can go to any of our socials. There'll be links pretty much everywhere, which will take you exactly where you need to go. Or you can go in the description of this episode. Well, this announcement, whatever we're calling it. You can go in the description. It'll be there as well. And look at all the stuff we have to offer.
Great. Okay, we covered that part. So what is on offer? Well, we've got three tiers, and Ed and I went back and forth on these for months. That's part of why this has taken a bit to get the ball rolling, because we wanted to make sure that we are providing simple tiers and great rewards, and that it's the most bang for your buck possible. So you can sign up for the premium service for as little as $5, starting with the I'm Spooked tier. So this is our introductory tier that gets you access to what we think are the most important basics of any subscription service, 100% ad-free episodes. No more localized ad content placed at random for you to listen to, just Ed and I, being ourselves and having a good time on mic.
Yeah, no more seven Wells Fargo's ads in a row or like Spanish Lowe's ads. I don't know, I get the weirdest ads. I don't know where I live, but yeah, no more of that.
So then we're also really excited. We know a lot of you love the frogs. I love the frogs. We want you to have more frogs. So if you sign up for the introductory tier, you get your ad-free episodes. You also get members-only Frog Plus. So Frog Plus is a feed of all the episodes starting from Hat Man episode one, going for forever. You can listen to all the episodes with my dart frog singing to you on third mic quietly in the background. So for those of you who love the frogs, this is the way to hear them.
Gun to Ed's head. You now have a frog audio track that is recorded of real frogs, guys. We had to find frogs, AKA go to Chris's apartment. So you are getting the real deal little friend in the motorcycle sidecar that is the frog plus audio feed.
Yeah, so those two things alone, we think are probably worth five bucks, but we throw in one more thing for you. You're gonna get exclusive monthly AMA content. Now AMA is something that you might be familiar with from Reddit, Ask Me Anything. And we thought it would be fun instead of just giving you a bonus episode every month, we would give you a bonus episode that you can interact with. So we still have to figure out the exact dates that will open the floor each month to the questions, but each month you'll receive a link, you'll be able to ask questions, anything you want. Some months maybe we'll theme it, some months maybe we won't, and we will answer those questions on air for you, assuming that they are-
Within reason.
Within reason, yeah.
I don't know, if you show up and there's like a bunch of terms and conditions and rules to ask me anything, just know that somebody ruined it for you. So we're not gonna go to that place until we have to. We're just gonna trust you people, social contract, within reason, ask whatever questions you want. It doesn't have to be about us even, it could be about what are our thoughts on X, Y and Z. It doesn't have to be just our history.
No, I know, well, that's what I'm saying. Some months we might theme it, so like we might do ask us anything about our thoughts on Bigfoot, or maybe we'll have a music AMA. You can ask us what music we listen to or whatever. We'll find different ways to make it interesting.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's all in a tier that we're calling I'm Spooked. Pretty great, but not as great as the tier that we're calling I'm Scared, which is our mid-level tier, and it gets you all the benefits of the introductory tier being 100% ad-free, Frog Plus Audio, monthly AMA content. Plus, you will get in the mail when you sign up, not the day you sign up because we're not magicians, but you will get an official Scared All The Time welcome button, so you'll have some merch that you get just for signing up. You'll get discounts and deals in our soon-to-launch merch store. Again, lots of legwork. We had no idea it had to be done to launch a merch store, so it's coming soon.
Yeah, no, it was a lot of like, hey, we're gonna start this next week, and then it was four weeks later still talking to companies because I'm a big proponent of and a big fan of Made in America, doing things with regular people. We tried to do this like pretty cool, and it took time, man, it took time.
And designing this stuff, Ed's designing it. He and I both love good merch, so, you know, Ed's doing the designs. We have to figure out how to get you guys high quality stuff. So you will get discounts and deals at the I'm Scared level. Details to come.
Yeah, details to come.
And then you also will get at the I'm Scared level access to our once a month livestream episode, which will be wild. I'm sure you have no idea the things that we cut out of the episodes that we post. So you'll be able to hear us unfiltered, uncensored once a month. Who knows? You might watch a movie. We might talk about some current events that are spooky and strange. It'll be hangout time with Chris and Ed and we'll have a great time. So that's the I'm Scared tier. Now for super fans, we have one more tier called I'm Terrified. And I gotta tell you, I think this is the best tier.
We're definitely doing stuff that some other people aren't doing, for sure.
Yeah, some stuff that we'll probably soon learn why other people aren't doing them. You'll get everything you've heard so far at I'm Terrified. You get 100% ad free, Frog Plus audio, exclusive monthly AMA, official Scared All The Time welcome button, discounts and deals in our soon to launch merch store, access to our once a month live stream, and you're entered into our button of the month club. So each month, no joke guys, Ed bought a button maker. And what we want to do for you is each month, we're gonna design, hand make and ship you a new Scared All The Time themed button straight to your door.
So for all you people who are constantly being like, I think it would be amazing to have a T-shirt for the Hoes boys, or I think you should do a thing about frogging, or we want merch of those scared home video things Ed's always talking about. Well, a lot of those ideas will likely end up becoming button of the month club buttons.
Exactly. It's a way we can make some merch, you can collect the buttons, and the longer you're subscribed at the terrified level, the more buttons you'll get, including obviously if you sign up right away, you'll be one of the only people who gets to have all the buttons because you'll get the first button.
That is true, that is correct.
And if you sign up at this level, it's time for you to buy yourself some fancy sunglasses and a Porsche because you are going to be a producer. We're gonna give you a producer credit in front of God and the internet on the official Scared All The Time webpage.
Well, we're also gonna tell the world, we'll tell the world your position at least once, but you will live forever on the Scared All The Time webpage.
Yeah, exactly. So those are the three tiers. You've got I'm spooked, I'm scared, I'm terrified. And if you can't remember everything we said, that's okay. Go to the website, you can read it all for yourself there.
Again, scaredalltimepodcast.com or any of our socials or all my links, all that stuff, you'll be able to find it. I'm sure you'll be able to find all the things we just said again.
Now you might be doing the math and going, wait a second, if I sign up now, the boys are on break. It's gonna be a month before I get a new episode anyway. What am I doing? Well, the breaks are going to continue. Every 10 episodes, we gotta take some time off to get our ducks in a row for the next 10 episodes. But that's exactly why we're launching this premium service now. So that all of you who want more Scared All The Time in your life can get it, even when we're technically off the air. You'll have access to the entire archive to listen to your favorite episodes ad free or with the dart frogs. You'll get your button. You'll get to ask your AMA questions. And that live episode, yeah, the live episodes happening every month, whether we're on break or not. So you're at least gonna be getting us on air for that, whether we're on break or not. And I gotta say, this is all new to us. And I hope that growth is basically inevitable. This is what Ed and I can commit to right now. But in my dream world, you guys will get even more added value as we figure out things that we can do to have fun for people who have signed up for these tiers.
Yeah, just know that this is going to probably kill us. So this is the most, I think you guys can't see, but Chris just spit coffee. Yeah, this is one of the reasons it took a minute to do. We were like, what can we possibly do that makes sense for everybody, but also will put us just on the edge of dying?
Yeah, you should know the tier names of I'm Spooked, I'm Scared. And I'm Terrified is not named after the feelings you will be having when you sign up for those episodes, when you sign up for those tiers. Those are the feelings we have about those. But we know we can do all this. We're really excited that this show has taken off the way that it has.
And in the same way that Ed, who's talking, loves the common person, and I go out of my way to make sure that we're dealing with vendors and things that I can talk to on the phone, or regular-ass people, this directly supports the show. This goes into making more of the show. Just know that. If you like this show, you are literally helping out a couple dudes who do everything on this show. Everything is done by us.
It's funny, when we were setting this up, at each step of it, we're trying to figure things out, and we'd go ask people, and they would be like, well, go ask your team, they probably have the answer to that.
Your team knows how to use these programs.
Yeah, no, no they don't, because the team is us, and we don't know how to use anything yet. So, we're learning as we go, but so far, we figure, we've learned how to make a podcast, so we should be able to learn how to do all this other high-tech shenanigans.
And then we also have Tess, who's so helpful, and we can talk to the Sausage Legends guys. We have people in the space who have the experience, and have done it before, who are helpful, but they don't have to sit in a room with us, and literally, physically make everything, and do everything, and design everything. That really is just us. Anyway, we hope you guys have some interest in it, and if you do, definitely throw a few bones our way, and it would go a huge, huge way into stepping the show up to the next level.
Absolutely. This is all gonna help grow the show, and yeah, it's gonna be awesome. So we're off for a couple weeks, but spread the word, go sign up, enjoy Frog Plus as soon as you do, and we will talk to you guys soon. Until then, I'm Chris Cullari.
And I'm Ed Voccola.
And we will see you in a few weeks.
We are in this together.
Together.
