We consider the case of the Syrophoenician woman, in response to whose faith, Jesus cast out the demon who was possessing her daughter.

We see two things:

First that the Gospel, which was originally intended for the Jews, has now been offered to the Gentiles also, and Second, if you are to receive this Gospel, you must have a faith that takes hold of Jesus and will not let Him go until He blesses you.
