Listener discretion is advised. I'm your host Mark and this is Mountain State Mysteries.
Today I'm hosting solo because we wanted to get this case update out to you as soon as possible.
This update was truly unexpected. Courtney and I were recording for season three when her phone
started to ring. That's when we found out on April 22nd, 2024, members of the West Virginia
State Police and the FBI have found the remains of Natasha Alex Carter. We also found out that
Larry Webb, the man who murdered Alex and her mother Susan, died that morning. Larry was incarcerated
at Mount Olive. It said that he suffered from what police are calling quote a medical episode
end quote. At 4.30pm while excavating property at a home on Kyle Lane in Beckley, West Virginia,
investigators discovered what they believe to be human remains. As of right now, this is just a
small update that we are able to bring you. As more details come out, we will bring you a longer
updated episode. If you find yourself enjoying Mountain State Mysteries, take a second to follow
and rate it on your favorite podcast platform. It helps others find good West Virginia true crime
podcasts. Don't forget to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. All at Mountain State Mysteries.
