Antoine Johnson: and I'm Antoine Johnson. Um, and this time Christie and I are joining you all from different places. Christie, how have you been?
Christy Slogobin: Yeah, I've been good. Um, so Antoine and I are no longer at Hopkins. We finished our postdocs, so I'm now an assistant professor of health, humanities, and bioethics at the University of Rochester.
Antoine Johnson: Nice. Well, I'm, um, on the complete opposite end of the country over here, um, as an assistant professor of African American and African Studies at the University of California at Davis. So, um, onward and upward.
Christy Slogobin: Yeah, so we miss being at Hopkins and being in Baltimore, um, and doing this [00:01:00] podcast, but we're super happy to hand it on over to new postdocs at the Center for Medical Humanities and Social Medicine. Um, and we just can't wait to see where they go with this project.
Antoine Johnson: Yes, we, um, I feel like the podcast series is left in good hands and looking forward to, the future episodes.

I'm a historian of, pharmaceuticals and I'm a research fellow here at Johns Hopkins University, department of History of Medicine, and, , Mia I'm really excited to work on this second season with you.
Mia Levenson: Oh, that's so sweet. , I'm so thrilled to be here with you, Richard. , for our listeners, my name is Mia Levinson. , I study the history of science and how it intersects with popular performance. We have a lot of exciting things coming up this year. Oh, yeah. We have, faculty are publishing books.
Richard Del Rio: Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, we have, I think three books were published this year. by [00:02:00] the faculty.
Mia Levenson: Three books. Three books. So, , we'll get to talk to those authors. 'We'll get to chat with , other Colloquium speakers,
Richard Del Rio: yeah, I look forward to it.

Mia Levenson: Okay, so, uh, just to give a sense of the schedule, this will be coming out March 24th, um, and our first episode is gonna drop on March 31st.
Richard Del Rio: We're gonna have a professor of anthropology from UCLA, professor bharat Venkat, talk about the concept of thermal inequality.
Mia Levenson: Yeah, that's gonna be a great one. , and then we'll have a podcast dropping every two weeks after that. Um, until next year. That'll be season two.
