<v Speaker 1>You know what I hate. I hate when they interrupt
<v Speaker 1>my commercials with some of this wrestling crap. I don't
<v Speaker 1>like that. Thankfully, we had plenty of commercials on tonight's
<v Speaker 1>show to outnumber all the minutes of wrestling that we
<v Speaker 1>actually got, so we were in good shape. Wrestle Pollouse.
<v Speaker 1>We had commercial palooza here tonight. How terrified must they
<v Speaker 1>have been to format the show in the way that
<v Speaker 1>they did. They were so terrified of running out of
<v Speaker 1>time at the end of the show for the aj
<v Speaker 1>Lee closing segment that just the way they formatted the show.
<v Speaker 1>I cannot remember an episode, honestly of SmackDown or of
<v Speaker 1>WWE television that was this bad when it came to
<v Speaker 1>the number of commercials and just the things they were
<v Speaker 1>interrupting at various points in the show, especially in that
<v Speaker 1>opening match that we had after the opening segment. But
<v Speaker 1>my god, in between all of those commercials, though, were
<v Speaker 1>a couple of great segments and some not so great segments.
<v Speaker 1>Unfortunately we had that as well, actually very forgettable segments.
<v Speaker 1>But what everybody was talking about coming into this show
<v Speaker 1>here tonight was the return of aj Lee actually going
<v Speaker 1>to happen. There were people who didn't believe. I'll believe
<v Speaker 1>it when I see it, right. I mean, in ten years.
<v Speaker 1>This woman hasn't been back on television in ten years.
<v Speaker 1>She doesn't want to come back. If she wanted to
<v Speaker 1>come back, she would have been at Evolution. If she
<v Speaker 1>wanted to come back, she would have been in the
<v Speaker 1>Royal Rumble one of these years. Leave her alone. She's done,
<v Speaker 1>she's retired. But anybody who's been watching the television shows
<v Speaker 1>over the last week or two, it was plain as
<v Speaker 1>day this could only be leading to one possible outcome.
<v Speaker 1>Anything else would be a disappointment. Nwwe knew that, and
<v Speaker 1>they would have to be fucking idiots to set it
<v Speaker 1>up any other way. And so even on Monday night,
<v Speaker 1>when CM Punk said to Adam Pierce, We're SmackDown on Friday,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Peers had to remind him that SmackDown was in Chicago.
<v Speaker 1>He said, tremendous, And you knew at that point what
<v Speaker 1>they were setting up for. They had a packed house
<v Speaker 1>in Chicago with the All State Arena, tod had over
<v Speaker 1>sixteen thousand people chanting this woman's name. Long before she
<v Speaker 1>even came out to the ring, they were chanting her
<v Speaker 1>name on Monday as well, and the way they set
<v Speaker 1>things up here at the end, we had seth Rollins
<v Speaker 1>and Becky Lane. If we don't get enough seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 1>On Mondays, we had Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. CM
<v Speaker 1>Punk was in Chicago and it was all to build
<v Speaker 1>to the return of his wife, the former Divas Champion
<v Speaker 1>for the first time since twenty fifteen, back on TV.
<v Speaker 1>A j Lee is back and in Chicago, of all places.
<v Speaker 1>It was the perfect setting for something like this to happen.
<v Speaker 1>This was like her first dance. Remember Punk got that
<v Speaker 1>at the United Center. This was like her first dance.
<v Speaker 1>She came out, thankfully, no Deaf Rebel special yet, but
<v Speaker 1>she came out. She got a monstrous, just insane reaction
<v Speaker 1>from the crowd in Chicago, looking great, not looking all
<v Speaker 1>that different from the way that she walked out in
<v Speaker 1>twenty fifteen. Skipping on down to the ring, Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 1>selling this like she just saw a fucking ghost and
<v Speaker 1>aj Lee getting in the ring, mixing it up with
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch setting things in motion for what we know
<v Speaker 1>is coming at wrestled Palozo, although not yet announced, a
<v Speaker 1>mixed tag team match with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch
<v Speaker 1>taking on CM Punk and aj Lee a perfect attraction
<v Speaker 1>for that show. And I don't know how long she's
<v Speaker 1>going to stick around for I would think it's more
<v Speaker 1>than just a one off. But even if it was
<v Speaker 1>just a one off, this was the perfect scenario for
<v Speaker 1>her to come back. And you know, as far as
<v Speaker 1>what tempted her to finally come back after all this time,
<v Speaker 1>because Punk has been asked about this in interviews and
<v Speaker 1>podcasts over the years, when's aj coming back? When's your
<v Speaker 1>wife gonna come back? And he's always you know, clearly
<v Speaker 1>he he wanted her to come back, but always gave
<v Speaker 1>the same basic answer, where it's up to her. It's
<v Speaker 1>not my call to make. It's up to her if
<v Speaker 1>she wants to come back, if she wants to get
<v Speaker 1>back involved, she'll be back, and if not, then she won't.
<v Speaker 1>But you wonder if it's not money and it's not fame,
<v Speaker 1>and it's not the allure of coming back, but it
<v Speaker 1>could just be a simple situation where she gets to
<v Speaker 1>work with her husband on TV. It could just be
<v Speaker 1>as simple as that, And for both of them, I'm
<v Speaker 1>sure this is just the most desirable position to be
<v Speaker 1>in here because now they get to work together on
<v Speaker 1>TV and have fun. And that's what that closing segment was.
<v Speaker 1>That closing segment was a lot of fun. They gave
<v Speaker 1>people the happy ending that they were hoping for. The
<v Speaker 1>worst kept secret in wrestling. Absolutely, but you know, for
<v Speaker 1>the people who were gonna say, man, I wish they
<v Speaker 1>would have kept it a secret, they couldn't. There was
<v Speaker 1>no way. The fans were chanting this woman's name for
<v Speaker 1>over a week. The fans were willing it into existence.
<v Speaker 1>You would have to be an absolute moron to not
<v Speaker 1>have aj Lee on the brain, either because the fans
<v Speaker 1>have been chanting her name and they've acknowledged it on TV,
<v Speaker 1>or just simple common sense. The way this story was building,
<v Speaker 1>it was inevitable, but it didn't take away from the moment.
<v Speaker 1>You listen to that reaction that pop when her music
<v Speaker 1>hit and she walked out. It didn't take away from
<v Speaker 1>the reaction at all. And that will go down as
<v Speaker 1>one of the more memorable segments in SmackDown history. Now,
<v Speaker 1>also on this show, speaking of memorable moments, John Cena
<v Speaker 1>has made some memorable moments In Chicago. John Cena has
<v Speaker 1>made some memorable moments in that very building that they
<v Speaker 1>were in tonight, and this was it for him. This
<v Speaker 1>was not only his final hurrah in Chicago, but he
<v Speaker 1>confirmed that this was his last SmackDown, which kind of
<v Speaker 1>gives away some of the names he won't be working
<v Speaker 1>with in the few matches he has left and in
<v Speaker 1>his final match, which is coming up in December. A
<v Speaker 1>Thudrew McIntyre would make for a good opponent for him
<v Speaker 1>in one of these upcoming matches, and that doesn't look
<v Speaker 1>likely at this point, because how are you going to
<v Speaker 1>do that If this guy isn't even going to appear
<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown. Doesn't mean that they can't still have him
<v Speaker 1>wrestle someone from SmackDown, but if Seen is not going
<v Speaker 1>to be on the show, it just makes it difficult.
<v Speaker 1>So this was it for him tonight. You talk about
<v Speaker 1>going out there and getting a reaction. Punk got a reaction.
<v Speaker 1>Aj Lee got a reaction, John Cena got a reaction,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zain got a reaction that was not the reaction
<v Speaker 1>I was expecting. We'll talk about that, But the John
<v Speaker 1>Cena stuff at the beginning of the show set up
<v Speaker 1>an impromptu match. We don't get these very often from
<v Speaker 1>him on TV, he actually wrestled, and not only did
<v Speaker 1>he wrestle tonight, he wrestled for a championship. We had
<v Speaker 1>not one, but two United States Championship matches on this
<v Speaker 1>show in Chicago tonight that we will be talking about.
<v Speaker 1>And the John Cena stuff, including the match that he
<v Speaker 1>had with Sammy Zain, were the best part to the show.
<v Speaker 1>Opening segment or opening match, slash segment, and the closing
<v Speaker 1>segment that was it. That was SmackDown tonight. Everything else
<v Speaker 1>in the middle just felt completely inconsequential, and the commercials
<v Speaker 1>didn't help. I mean, they really did just butcher almost
<v Speaker 1>the entire show, and I understand they can't be avoided,
<v Speaker 1>but my god, it was as bad as it's ever been.
<v Speaker 1>Everything in the middle. And we'll talk about the other
<v Speaker 1>US title match as well on the women's side, and
<v Speaker 1>what a shame that whole situation is right now, But
<v Speaker 1>there was really nothing else on this show that anybody
<v Speaker 1>is going to be talking about outside of aj Lee
<v Speaker 1>and John Cena. Those are the two key things right there.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to talk about that as well as brock Lesner,
<v Speaker 1>who also made an impromptu appearance on the show tonight
<v Speaker 1>and ruined what was a great United States Championship match.
<v Speaker 1>This is your Friday Night SmackDown review for Friday, September fifth,
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty five. I'm the Solomonster. Thank you guys for
<v Speaker 1>joining me here on a Friday night, always the best
<v Speaker 1>way to end the week. First, Michael Cole and Corey
<v Speaker 1>Graves were the ones to open up the show, and
<v Speaker 1>Cole said that they would be the new SmackDown Announced
<v Speaker 1>team for the coming months, so they are now on
<v Speaker 1>Friday nights. I would assume that means Joe Tessitur and
<v Speaker 1>Wade Barrett are moving over to Mondays, and that it
<v Speaker 1>has to do with Joe's college football commitments because he's
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he's got to be doing college football every
<v Speaker 1>Saturday at least, and maybe there's some Friday night games.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know about Fridays, but I would imagine that's
<v Speaker 1>why they've made this change, and when that season comes
<v Speaker 1>to an end, things will likely go back to the
<v Speaker 1>way they were, but Cole and Corey will be on
<v Speaker 1>Friday nights now, so just be aware of that. So
<v Speaker 1>after highlights from Clash in Paris last weekend, John Cena
<v Speaker 1>opened up the show for the final time here in Chicago,
<v Speaker 1>the very city, not only the very city, the very
<v Speaker 1>building where he debuted on this very show twenty three
<v Speaker 1>years ago when he walked out, he came to the
<v Speaker 1>ring to confront Kurt Angle and he talked about ruthless aggression.
<v Speaker 1>And here we are now, twenty three years later. He's
<v Speaker 1>he's a young what is he forty eight young? Forty
<v Speaker 1>eight years old now? So a monster reaction for Sina
<v Speaker 1>when he came out here and he took the time
<v Speaker 1>to absorb all the chance, like it looked like when
<v Speaker 1>you look at him, especially tonight on the show, like
<v Speaker 1>even when he initially walked out, like he's he's like
<v Speaker 1>he's taking a snapshot in his mind because I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>like some of these cities more than others, Like it
<v Speaker 1>does mean how could it not mean something to you?
<v Speaker 1>Look at the career this guy had in this company.
<v Speaker 1>Look at all the shit that he has done right
<v Speaker 1>and all everything they put on his shoulders and they
<v Speaker 1>made him the guy in all the different matches that
<v Speaker 1>he's had and the injuries and that goes with having
<v Speaker 1>a long run on top the way that he did.
<v Speaker 1>It's got to mean something because now he knows like
<v Speaker 1>he's only got like a little over half a dozen
<v Speaker 1>appearances left and even less than that when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to actual matches. Things are winding down. They just announced
<v Speaker 1>today now his final Madison Square Garden appearance, you know,
<v Speaker 1>coming up on November seventeenth, his final Boston appearance, which
<v Speaker 1>will not be his retirement match, because that was the
<v Speaker 1>belief that they were going to be doing that last
<v Speaker 1>Saturday Night's main event in December in Boston, and that
<v Speaker 1>is not the case that show. It sounds like that
<v Speaker 1>show is going to be in DC and not in Boston,
<v Speaker 1>so that was interesting. So anyway, he's taking the time
<v Speaker 1>to really absorb it and try to enjoy it when
<v Speaker 1>he comes out, and he thanked the crowd for their kindness.
<v Speaker 1>He recalled when his farewell tour first began and people
<v Speaker 1>told him to enjoy it and have fun, and he
<v Speaker 1>said he was coming off a lot of bad years
<v Speaker 1>and he needed to get his mojo back, and he
<v Speaker 1>focused on leaving everything he had in the ring to
<v Speaker 1>prove to himself that he can still do it. He
<v Speaker 1>said tonight, he had no plan. He came out here
<v Speaker 1>with no plans on what he was going to do.
<v Speaker 1>No plans on what he was going to say. He's
<v Speaker 1>going to wing it, and so that's why he was
<v Speaker 1>here tonight. Wanted to take it all in and have fun.
<v Speaker 1>He said, what makes tonight special is looking out into
<v Speaker 1>the crowd and seeing people excited. One years ago he
<v Speaker 1>might have heard something a little bit different, maybe some
<v Speaker 1>f you seen a chance seeing it. Told the crowd
<v Speaker 1>they were in for an exciting night, and he reminded
<v Speaker 1>them that this was his last time here in Chicago
<v Speaker 1>and his last appearance ever on SmackDown. Scena recalled twenty
<v Speaker 1>years ago walking to the ring on SmackDown and smacking
<v Speaker 1>Kurd Angle in the face and how it all started
<v Speaker 1>this crazy ride. He recalled his favorite memories from Chicago,
<v Speaker 1>including wrestling Triple H that would have been at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 1>twenty two. He also recalled wrestling CM Punk and Punk
<v Speaker 1>winning the WWE Championship from him and then taking the
<v Speaker 1>title and putting it in his refrigerator, and that kicked
<v Speaker 1>off the summer of Punk in twenty eleven. So the
<v Speaker 1>crowd begins to chant thank you, Sina Seena, thank them again.
<v Speaker 1>He wished them a great night. He was ready to
<v Speaker 1>go leave that was gonna be it before he could
<v Speaker 1>leave the ring. Though Sammy Zain's music hits his music
<v Speaker 1>interrupted Sena. Sammy comes out the brand new United States Champion.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I just realized no MFTs on the show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>One of the things I liked about the show tonight,
<v Speaker 1>no MFTs. We didn't have Solo Soca and Jacob or
<v Speaker 1>not Jacob. I wish we had Jacob Solo Socoa and
<v Speaker 1>Talatonga and j C. Matteo and the great Tongdaloa nowhere
<v Speaker 1>to be found on the show tonight. It's nice, we've
<v Speaker 1>been getting a lot of the MFTs. It's okay to
<v Speaker 1>get him off TV for a week or two or six.
<v Speaker 1>But Sammy's Ain comes out, brand new United States Champion,
<v Speaker 1>and you hear booze from the crowd. Now, at first,
<v Speaker 1>when they hit his music, that's when the booze started.
<v Speaker 1>But I didn't think it was booze necessarily. I thought
<v Speaker 1>they were like at the beginning of his music, it's
<v Speaker 1>almost like the crowd's building up, building up, and then
<v Speaker 1>it's like, let's go. So that's what I thought it was.
<v Speaker 1>A boy, was I wrong? Sammy's a and he comes
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring and you hear the booze. The
<v Speaker 1>people are booing him, and I have no idea where
<v Speaker 1>this came from. It's not as if Sammy has been
<v Speaker 1>dealing with some booze in certain cities. In certain places,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy is a babyface. Sammy is is beloved by the
<v Speaker 1>WWE crowds. It's not even even Cody in some places
<v Speaker 1>was getting some booze. You don't really hear that with Sammy.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm like, I'm watching this and I know it
<v Speaker 1>Sit Cago and I mean, whatever the hell that means.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, oh, it's New York. It's like, what the
<v Speaker 1>fuck does that mean? I heard people say that sometimes,
<v Speaker 1>but I guess you just never know how they're gonna react.
<v Speaker 1>I was not expecting this. This was like, Wow, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know where this came from. But okay, he interrupted Cena.
<v Speaker 1>But Sina was about to leave, So why boot? Why
<v Speaker 1>boot the man? I don't know. Sina said that it
<v Speaker 1>was happy hour in Chicago and he was there for
<v Speaker 1>the booze. Look at this, John Cena, if you could
<v Speaker 1>believe it, John Cena with a Duff's VIDs joke, He's
<v Speaker 1>there for the booze. He said, funny, Sammy thanks Sena
<v Speaker 1>on behalf of the locker room for everything that he's
<v Speaker 1>done for them and everything that he has done for
<v Speaker 1>him personally. He recalled making his debut against Sena for
<v Speaker 1>the United States Championship, and I remember that as well.
<v Speaker 1>I remember that Brett Hart was there that night, and
<v Speaker 1>I remember that Brett Hart actually introduced Sammy z Ain
<v Speaker 1>to the ring. This is when Sina was doing the
<v Speaker 1>US Title Open Challenge ten years ago. Funny enough, the
<v Speaker 1>same year that aj Lee last made her appearance, Brett
<v Speaker 1>Hart was there. They were in Canada. I believe Sammy's
<v Speaker 1>Ain came out and he was all hyped up. This
<v Speaker 1>was the night that Sammy he gets on the ring
<v Speaker 1>steps and he's flailing his arms around so hard that
<v Speaker 1>he tore his fucking rotator cuff. And still, like, I
<v Speaker 1>think back to that, and I'm like, what must have
<v Speaker 1>been going through this man's head, Like, imagine you're in
<v Speaker 1>Sammy z Ain's position at that exact moment, and you're
<v Speaker 1>about to get one of the biggest opportunities of your life. Right,
<v Speaker 1>You're on live television. You're about to wrestle John Cena.
<v Speaker 1>First night on Raw Brett Hart just introduced you You're
<v Speaker 1>in Canada, and you're like, oh shit, because you know,
<v Speaker 1>you have to know instantly that something is wrong. And
<v Speaker 1>I remember, like I think, he relayed to Brett what
<v Speaker 1>had happened, and Brett went over to Scena to tell Sena.
<v Speaker 1>But he wrestled the match, and from what I recall,
<v Speaker 1>they had a really good match. So that actually was
<v Speaker 1>a very memorable I guess for him bittersweet, but it
<v Speaker 1>actually was a very memorable night, even though it's like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you can't recall everything that happened ten years ago,
<v Speaker 1>but there are certain moments that are unforgettable. Flailing your
<v Speaker 1>arms around and injuring yourself I would say qualifies as
<v Speaker 1>one of those moments. But he said, also what the
<v Speaker 1>John Cena US Title Open Challenge rather did for him
<v Speaker 1>and others to get an opportunity. Sammy told Sena that
<v Speaker 1>with his permission, he would like to recreate his own
<v Speaker 1>US Title Open Challenge for the same reason, and Sina said,
<v Speaker 1>he thinks that's a great idea. So Sina went to
<v Speaker 1>go leave and Sammy stopped him and said, you offer
<v Speaker 1>him the same opportunity that he gave Sammy ten years ago.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy said that he had one foot in the door
<v Speaker 1>ten years ago, and he wanted to offer him the
<v Speaker 1>same now that he had one foot out the door.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy said, We're not going to do it a month
<v Speaker 1>from now. We're not going to do it next week.
<v Speaker 1>He wanted to do it right now. Now. He gets
<v Speaker 1>cheered by the Chicago fan. Now they love him because
<v Speaker 1>of course they want the match tonight. Sena told him
<v Speaker 1>you're on, and he called for a referee to come
<v Speaker 1>out to the ring and they went to a break.
<v Speaker 1>This was a great segment. This was a great segment.
<v Speaker 1>Sina seemed genuinely moved by the reaction. It felt special
<v Speaker 1>because again, it is his last SmackDown. I didn't know
<v Speaker 1>that it was his last SmackDown. I knew it was
<v Speaker 1>his last appearance in Chicago as an active performer. That
<v Speaker 1>I knew. I did not know that tonight was going
<v Speaker 1>to be his last SmackDown. So when he said that,
<v Speaker 1>that caught me off guard. So it was a special
<v Speaker 1>segment in that way. I like the interaction with him
<v Speaker 1>and Sammy. Again, I don't know what was up with
<v Speaker 1>the crowd other than just it was a very pro
<v Speaker 1>John Cena crowd, and obviously during their match they wanted
<v Speaker 1>to see Sina win and win the championship, so I
<v Speaker 1>can understand them booing Sammy, you know, even in the
<v Speaker 1>course of the match maybe, but the reaction to Sammy
<v Speaker 1>when he initially came out that I was not expecting.
<v Speaker 1>And as far as him reviving the open challenge, I mean, look,
<v Speaker 1>I've made my comments clear in the past. We went
<v Speaker 1>through this period. It's actually calmed down recently, which is nice,
<v Speaker 1>but we went through this period not that long ago
<v Speaker 1>in the two companies WWE and AW, and especially in AW,
<v Speaker 1>I feel like where we were getting open challenges every
<v Speaker 1>single week, and it's not like they've all gone away,
<v Speaker 1>but it was happening so often, and it felt like
<v Speaker 1>it was just being used as a lazy crutch by
<v Speaker 1>people who didn't know what to do with the Intercontinental
<v Speaker 1>title or the TNT, the US title, whatever it would be,
<v Speaker 1>and so we'll just do open challenges with all the championships.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, what a lazy fucking thing to do,
<v Speaker 1>taking that concept and just beating it into the ground,
<v Speaker 1>and it just it was too much. I'm fine with
<v Speaker 1>an open challenge here and there, but like it just
<v Speaker 1>became too much. So it's kind of died down a
<v Speaker 1>little bit. And and here I don't mind it just
<v Speaker 1>because he clearly he told John Cena, look, I love
<v Speaker 1>when you did the US Title Open Challenge ten years ago,
<v Speaker 1>and with your permission, I'd like to just recreate that myself,
<v Speaker 1>you know, basically asking for Seenea his blessing, and Scena
<v Speaker 1>gave him his blessing. So I don't mind it so much.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it's still, yeah, I wish they could come
<v Speaker 1>up with a solid story for him with that championship.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe out of one of these open challenges something will
<v Speaker 1>come out of it. But I like that aspect that
<v Speaker 1>they at least drew parallels to the one because the
<v Speaker 1>one Sena did was fantastic, you know, ten years ago.
<v Speaker 1>And again we'll see what happens is as far as
<v Speaker 1>seen his remaining opponents once he gets beyond brock Lesner.
<v Speaker 1>Because Drew McIntyre was on my personal short list of
<v Speaker 1>people that I think would have made for a great
<v Speaker 1>opponent or a challenger for him, it could still happen.
<v Speaker 1>I just think it makes it a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>lot less likely given that McIntyre is on SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 1>if Scene is not going to be making any television
<v Speaker 1>appearances on SmackDown, that doesn't excite me. You know, him
<v Speaker 1>being promoted for a match against somebody that he's not
<v Speaker 1>going to be on TV to help promote, I think
<v Speaker 1>is a poor use of John Cena. So they may
<v Speaker 1>have just closed the door on a possible John Cena
<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre match. On the other hand, if Gunther is
<v Speaker 1>back in the next couple of months, they could still
<v Speaker 1>do Sena and Gunther right because Gunther's on Raw. AJ
<v Speaker 1>Styles is on Raw, so I mean they have options
<v Speaker 1>on Monday Night. That would be fine if that's the
<v Speaker 1>direction they wanted to go in. But we had John
<v Speaker 1>Cena against Sammy's Ain. This was a United States Championship
<v Speaker 1>match here as part of the Open Challenge, and the
<v Speaker 1>crowd was amped up for this match, pro John Cena
<v Speaker 1>all the way, very much anti Sammy z Ain. They
<v Speaker 1>wanted to see John Cena win that US title. The
<v Speaker 1>match was joined already in progress as Sena and Sammy
<v Speaker 1>locked up in the middle of the ring. Sammy attempted
<v Speaker 1>a springboard leap frog early on. It didn't go the
<v Speaker 1>way he wanted it. To but he hit a closed
<v Speaker 1>line anyway, Sammy whip seen A Herd into the corner,
<v Speaker 1>which got more booze from the crowd. Seena then threw
<v Speaker 1>Sammy with a hard Irish whip that sent him flying
<v Speaker 1>into the corner and it was back to another commercial.
<v Speaker 1>Picture in picture. This was not even five or six
<v Speaker 1>minutes since the last one and they were already into
<v Speaker 1>another commercial that they returned with Sammy being hoisted up
<v Speaker 1>by Sea for an attitude adjustment attempt. Champion escaped seeing
<v Speaker 1>it turned Sammy's attempt at a springboard move into an attitude adjustment.
<v Speaker 1>He could not pick up the three count As Seena recovered,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy tried to hit an exploder that got countered into
<v Speaker 1>a Kevin Owens style pop up power bomb by Sina.
<v Speaker 1>Sammy's aying then missed the halluva kick after he recovered,
<v Speaker 1>and Sena caught him with an angle slam in slow motion.
<v Speaker 1>This was the slowest angle slam that you will ever see.
<v Speaker 1>But he hit an angle slam, which, according to Michael Cole,
<v Speaker 1>was a back suplex and I watched this and I go,
<v Speaker 1>that is definitely not a back suplex quote unquote, that
<v Speaker 1>is an angle slam, and I have no idea how
<v Speaker 1>this was lost on Michael Cole because he just called
<v Speaker 1>it like any other move. And Cole is usually on
<v Speaker 1>point with stuff. I mean, he's been there long enough,
<v Speaker 1>he's been there for all seen his career. He was
<v Speaker 1>probably calling SmackDown that night when he debuted against kurd Angle.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how it was lost on him that
<v Speaker 1>not only was it a Angle slam, but it was tied
<v Speaker 1>into the fact that in this building, in this city,
<v Speaker 1>in his SmackDown debut, John Cena wrestled kurd Angle. Somehow
<v Speaker 1>he missed that. Thankfully Corey he didn't, and so Corey
<v Speaker 1>did mention that, but yeah, I don't. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how Cole missed that point. So both men traded strikes
<v Speaker 1>until we got a double clothesline into a double down,
<v Speaker 1>and that took us into another picture and picture break.
<v Speaker 1>So here's the thing about this match. As much as
<v Speaker 1>I love this match, they absolutely butchered this match with commercials.
<v Speaker 1>And my bad, Okay, it's my own fault because I
<v Speaker 1>have been using my Express VPN for all of these
<v Speaker 1>international shows the last few weeks, and the thought never
<v Speaker 1>occurred to me to use it for this show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I was using it because I wanted to watch the
<v Speaker 1>shows early or I you know, I should have been.
<v Speaker 1>People were like, you should be watching it on Netflix
<v Speaker 1>with the VPN. You're absolutely right. I fucked up, But
<v Speaker 1>nonetheless it was still quite ridiculous, and especially in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of this match. And this is why when they
<v Speaker 1>announced that Saturday Night's main event was no longer being
<v Speaker 1>aired on NBC, I said, that's a great thing, because
<v Speaker 1>if John Cena is going to be wrestling his retirement match,
<v Speaker 1>imagine this was his retirement match and they go to
<v Speaker 1>break every three minutes. If they would have had his
<v Speaker 1>retirement match on NBC in December, it would have been
<v Speaker 1>an absolute fucking disaster. At least now it'll be streaming
<v Speaker 1>on Peacock and we should not have these these mid
<v Speaker 1>match interruptions in this way. So that show no longer
<v Speaker 1>being on NBC is a great thing, and this is why.
<v Speaker 1>So during the commercial break, I should mention the first
<v Speaker 1>commercial break early that they took. Sammy hit a blue
<v Speaker 1>thunderbomb that got a near fall. Sina got a curd
<v Speaker 1>angle ankle lock applied. During this commercial break, Sammy kicked
<v Speaker 1>free Scena, though got the STFU apply. I'm watching in
<v Speaker 1>the little box here, Sena got the STFU applied, and
<v Speaker 1>then Sammy worked his way towards the ropes. Sena drags
<v Speaker 1>him back to the center of the ring. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>we've seen that spot a thousand times, but it made
<v Speaker 1>me think of the match with Punk in Chicago. Money
<v Speaker 1>in the bank, he got Sena in the or he
<v Speaker 1>got Punk rather in the STF Punk is inching towards
<v Speaker 1>the ropes. Scena pulls him back to the center of
<v Speaker 1>the ring, and I remember the crowd. Never forget the
<v Speaker 1>crowd for that match was just absolutely out of their minds.
<v Speaker 1>That's what makes that match so special. I mean, that's
<v Speaker 1>a five star match, and so they did that spot
<v Speaker 1>here and you can see that the people are losing
<v Speaker 1>their minds. But you can't hear a fucking thing. You
<v Speaker 1>can't hear anything. I hear a fucking pizza Hut commercial
<v Speaker 1>is what I hear. So it would have been to hear,
<v Speaker 1>you know, ask Sammy is struggling not to tap out.
<v Speaker 1>But you didn't hear anything, unless, of course you're watching
<v Speaker 1>this either internationally or with a VPN, But otherwise we
<v Speaker 1>didn't get the sounds of this. We didn't get the
<v Speaker 1>audio here. When they came back full screen, they replayed
<v Speaker 1>what had happened, and the replay was then interrupted by
<v Speaker 1>Sammy hitting the halluva kick. Sena, though kicked out, Sina
<v Speaker 1>managed to then catch Sammy with a go to sleep
<v Speaker 1>here in Chicago, so you can imagine the reaction that
<v Speaker 1>got covered him. Sammy kicks out. Sammy's ain't kicked that
<v Speaker 1>out of a lot of big moves here in this match.
<v Speaker 1>He went full Supersena in this match. So in the corner,
<v Speaker 1>Sena was sizing up Sammy and he motioned for him
<v Speaker 1>to get up, and he's clearly paying homage to one
<v Speaker 1>of his all time great rivals, in my opinion, his
<v Speaker 1>second greatest rival behind Cmpunk, which is Edge. And you know,
<v Speaker 1>because he's doing the edge motion, he's losing his mind.
<v Speaker 1>He's freaking out. He's bouncing up and down in the
<v Speaker 1>corner and then he comes out and he hits a
<v Speaker 1>spear and Sammy kicks out. This led to Michael Cole
<v Speaker 1>mentioning seen as past battles with the Big Dog Roman
<v Speaker 1>reigns like, are you fucking kidding me? Are you fucking
<v Speaker 1>kidding me? Now it's possible that Michael Cole was was
<v Speaker 1>just out to lunch on this show tonight. Otherwise, how
<v Speaker 1>petty can you be that you cannot even mention edge
<v Speaker 1>Like we just saw clash in Paris. We got a Claudio,
<v Speaker 1>we got a sosorrow mention. Okay, you mean to tell
<v Speaker 1>me that you can't say edge or that Cole didn't
<v Speaker 1>pick up on him doing the edge mannerisms because again
<v Speaker 1>he was going through's cycling through some of his greatest opponents,
<v Speaker 1>Kevin Owens with the pop up power bomb right see,
<v Speaker 1>I'm punk with the goat to sleep, Edge with the spear.
<v Speaker 1>Sina had two matches I think in his entire career
<v Speaker 1>with Roman Reigns. One of them, the first one wasn't
<v Speaker 1>really anything special, and the second one was even worse.
<v Speaker 1>That was at Summerslim a few years ago. There's not
<v Speaker 1>some classic rivalry or feud okay between John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>Roman Reigns. But nevertheless Michael Cole either didn't pick up
<v Speaker 1>on it or you're not allowed to say not allowed
<v Speaker 1>to say the unmentionable word. So the fans picked up
<v Speaker 1>on Sina stealing moves from his past rivals. They started
<v Speaker 1>chanting RKO, can we get an RKO next? And so
<v Speaker 1>Sena attempted one, Sammy avoided it. They ended up on
<v Speaker 1>the ropes where Sena delivered an avalanche attitude adjustment. He
<v Speaker 1>tossed Sammy halfway across the ring. And so now both
<v Speaker 1>men are down and I'm waiting because when they do
<v Speaker 1>this spot both men are down, it's late in the match.
<v Speaker 1>I'm thinking, Okay, obviously something is about to fuck up
<v Speaker 1>this great match that we are in the middle of
<v Speaker 1>watching here because neither man can be beat. So what's
<v Speaker 1>about to happen? Well, what's about to happen is what
<v Speaker 1>you would expect. You hear damn my terrible sound effect,
<v Speaker 1>and that is the cue for Brock Lesner to come
<v Speaker 1>back out. How nice to see Brock. After we saw
<v Speaker 1>him at SummerSlam a month ago, he was back on television.
<v Speaker 1>Here tonight Brock walks out, cowboy hat on his head
<v Speaker 1>and he takes his time coming down to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>I guess they added Chicago at the last minute to
<v Speaker 1>his schedule. He was supposed to be in Norfolk next week,
<v Speaker 1>which he will be, and then wherever the hell SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>is on the nineteenth that's the go home show to
<v Speaker 1>Wrestle Palooza. But I guess they added Chicago here as
<v Speaker 1>a late edition. He dragged, literally drags the referee out
<v Speaker 1>of the ring, yanks him out of the ref or
<v Speaker 1>out of the ring, and he fucking crashes on the ground.
<v Speaker 1>Down below scene it gets or Brock rather gets in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. He picks up Samby's ay and he delivers
<v Speaker 1>an F five. Then he picks up John Cena and
<v Speaker 1>he delivers an F five. Then he picks John Cena
<v Speaker 1>back up again and he delivers another F five for
<v Speaker 1>good measure. And he looked quite pleased with himself before
<v Speaker 1>he left. Now, after a break, they showed Lesner in
<v Speaker 1>the back walking through Gorilla and we got to actually
<v Speaker 1>hear from Brock very briefly. Did we get an explanation
<v Speaker 1>here for why he has targeted John Cena? Nope. He
<v Speaker 1>looked into the camera. He said, John Cena, see you
<v Speaker 1>at wressell Palooza. Bitch. This fucking guy is stealing Ocatta's gimmick. Now,
<v Speaker 1>now I know what he's been doing this entire time
<v Speaker 1>that he's been off. He's been exposed. I'll bet your
<v Speaker 1>shocked to find out that brock Lesner has been sitting
<v Speaker 1>at home with his HBO Max subscription watching aw Dynamite
<v Speaker 1>and Collision every single week. He's been taking notes about
<v Speaker 1>Ocatta's promo. You know what, I'm going to incorporate that
<v Speaker 1>into my shit is Okatta. Guy's pretty good. That was
<v Speaker 1>it and just and they had the graphics ready to go.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a Tony Kahn special where the graphics are
<v Speaker 1>ready to go, just like that, as brock Lesner and
<v Speaker 1>John Cena Wressell palouza. The match is now official for
<v Speaker 1>September twentieth. So there you go, there's your main event.
<v Speaker 1>There he comes. We all knew the match was coming.
<v Speaker 1>We all knew that we probably were not going to
<v Speaker 1>get an explanation. It's lazy as shit, but they don't
<v Speaker 1>give a shit because now they have a marquee attraction
<v Speaker 1>back in Brocklesner, who By the way, the interference of
<v Speaker 1>brock Lesner completely ruined the end of this match. The
<v Speaker 1>match was thrown out I guess no contest after twenty
<v Speaker 1>or twenty two minutes. However long this match went. They
<v Speaker 1>got about twenty minutes added to the opening segment. This
<v Speaker 1>ate up the first forty five minutes of the show,
<v Speaker 1>And I think back to Clash in Paris when they
<v Speaker 1>opened with Roman Reigns in Bronson Reid, which didn't even
<v Speaker 1>start until fifteen minutes into the show. Then you had
<v Speaker 1>a twenty minute match, and then you had a postmatch
<v Speaker 1>angle to beat down on Roman Reigns, the stretcher job,
<v Speaker 1>which lasted almost as long as the match itself. By
<v Speaker 1>the time they got to the second match at Clash
<v Speaker 1>in Paris, we were into our number two. It was
<v Speaker 1>completely ridiculous here. I didn't mind it so much that
<v Speaker 1>they ate up most of the first hour. Right, it's television,
<v Speaker 1>so you're gonna have a mix of segments and matches
<v Speaker 1>and you know, the scenes stuff. This being his final
<v Speaker 1>appearance there, it was a special thing. I enjoyed all
<v Speaker 1>of this up until the finish. I enjoyed all of this.
<v Speaker 1>The match itself was very good, and really the match itself,
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't even like the match was some sort of
<v Speaker 1>you know, technical marvel. That's not what these John Cena
<v Speaker 1>matches are meant to be. The John Cena matches now
<v Speaker 1>are just meant to be him playing the hits and
<v Speaker 1>maybe his opponent too, playing the heir I mean Logan
<v Speaker 1>Paul was stealing everyone's move But that's what Seene is doing.
<v Speaker 1>He's paying respect, he's paying homage to people that he
<v Speaker 1>has worked with, that he has respected and admired and
<v Speaker 1>worked within the ring over the course of his entire career.
<v Speaker 1>So in Paris we got the callbacks to Cesarro and
<v Speaker 1>dob Ziggler right, just multiple and there were like two
<v Speaker 1>other people I think too and here tonight alone, Kevin
<v Speaker 1>Owens and CM Punk and Edge and who knows who
<v Speaker 1>else he might work and who hasn't he He hasn't
<v Speaker 1>done a pedigree yet, has he? He hasn't incorporated Triple
<v Speaker 1>H into his matches. Who else can John Cena incorporate
<v Speaker 1>some of Johnsen's greatest opponent. Well, he did the styles
<v Speaker 1>clash in Paris. I forgot about that one. And so
<v Speaker 1>it's just it's an experience, especially for the people who
<v Speaker 1>were there in the arenas and the buildings. But we're
<v Speaker 1>counting down the days and he's going out there now
<v Speaker 1>and having readstling matches that are far more entertaining to
<v Speaker 1>me than any of the shit he was doing after
<v Speaker 1>return Heel earlier this year. Although I'm not saying the
<v Speaker 1>match with Randy Orton was a bad match, and I'm
<v Speaker 1>not saying the match at CMPUNK was a bad match.
<v Speaker 1>But now that he's back to being a babyface, he
<v Speaker 1>is able to go out there now and do certain
<v Speaker 1>things that you wouldn't be doing if you were a heel,
<v Speaker 1>and you put him in there with the right people,
<v Speaker 1>Sammy Zain certainly knows how to work, and you end
<v Speaker 1>up with what we got tonight. So I'm enjoying. You know,
<v Speaker 1>what we've been getting from Sina. We got two fucking
<v Speaker 1>banger matches from him in the month of August. He
<v Speaker 1>just opened up September with another really good match with Brock.
<v Speaker 1>You know, it's hard to say. It's hard to say.
<v Speaker 1>One of my favorite matches was that first match back
<v Speaker 1>that Brock had in twenty twelve at Extreme Rules against Sina,
<v Speaker 1>because it was it was unlike any main event that
<v Speaker 1>WWE had done at that time. It was just it
<v Speaker 1>was different. It almost felt real. It felt like Sina
<v Speaker 1>is in like mortal danger, especially when he got opened
<v Speaker 1>up hardway, which is just so fucking dumb. It would
<v Speaker 1>be a lot safer to have him cut himself open
<v Speaker 1>than have Brock lesnar fucking hard way elbowing him in
<v Speaker 1>the head. He did that with Randy Orton too, But
<v Speaker 1>that match was it was just crazy and I love it.
<v Speaker 1>I love that match. The match at SummerSlam they had
<v Speaker 1>in twenty fourteen was a very different kind of match. Obviously,
<v Speaker 1>that was also very unique, something you would never see
<v Speaker 1>in WWE where you would have a main event start
<v Speaker 1>doing a long squash in a pay per view main event. So, again,
<v Speaker 1>a different kind of match what we're going to get
<v Speaker 1>between these two here in twenty twenty five. Brock has
<v Speaker 1>not wrestled the match in over two years. Johnsen is
<v Speaker 1>in the middle of his retirement tour, right forty eight
<v Speaker 1>years old. His body can't go the way that used to,
<v Speaker 1>by his own admission. Now he's in there with a
<v Speaker 1>guy who's not going to be doing the same things
<v Speaker 1>that you know, Logan Paul was doing and Sammy Zain
<v Speaker 1>was doing. Brock's a different kind of performer, and so
<v Speaker 1>I honestly don't know what to expect here. I expect
<v Speaker 1>a lot of smoke and mirrors, but there's no no
<v Speaker 1>disqualification stipulation. It's right now, It's just a straight wrestling match.
<v Speaker 1>It's not a street fight or anything like that. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm kind of curious what we end up getting, don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know that it's going to be any better
<v Speaker 1>than some of the stuff we've gotten from them before.
<v Speaker 1>It'll be something interesting to see, for better or worse.
<v Speaker 1>I just don't quite know what to expect here from
<v Speaker 1>from these two at this point. But yeah, this match
<v Speaker 1>here really good stuff. If you didn't see it, it's
<v Speaker 1>definitely worth going out of your way to check it out,
<v Speaker 1>and also interesting to see what happens next week and
<v Speaker 1>the week after that and the week after that. And
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it will. But if the reactions to
<v Speaker 1>Sammy and Chicago carry over, I'm going to assume it
<v Speaker 1>had to do with just we're very pro Sena. You
<v Speaker 1>came out we hate you. I don't expect that to
<v Speaker 1>be the case in Norfolk next week. If it is
<v Speaker 1>that in the long run, that could end up being
<v Speaker 1>an issue, but I'm assuming that's going to be a
<v Speaker 1>one week aberration. Today's episode is sponsored by Better Help.

<v Speaker 1>Slash solo monster. That's better Help h e lp dot
<v Speaker 1>com slash slo monster. Now Nick Alldis was in the back.
<v Speaker 1>Nick Alldis was speed walking through the backstage area. It
<v Speaker 1>looked like he was in a hurry, maybe trying to
<v Speaker 1>catch up to brock Lesner, But he got interrupted by
<v Speaker 1>Carmelo Hayes. Now, of course, with all these big stars
<v Speaker 1>walking around here on Smack Dan, you got John Cena,
<v Speaker 1>You've got brock Lesner, You've got cmpunk is in the building.
<v Speaker 1>He has no time for the Carmelo Hayes of the world,
<v Speaker 1>and he's trying to explain this to him, and Hayes
<v Speaker 1>is like, I just I just want a minute of
<v Speaker 1>your time. I just wanted to talk to you. He
<v Speaker 1>was looking for a shot, right because it sounded like
<v Speaker 1>he was about to ask for a shot at the
<v Speaker 1>US title, which, by the way, I don't know why
<v Speaker 1>he would have to ask for a shot at the
<v Speaker 1>US title now that there's a fucking open challenge going on,
<v Speaker 1>just just come out and accept the challenge, like Carmelo
<v Speaker 1>Hayes should be happy right now. Sammy Zain just announced
<v Speaker 1>that he is restarting the US Title Open Challenge, So
<v Speaker 1>if he wants a shot that badly, all he needs
<v Speaker 1>to do is be first at the curtain next week
<v Speaker 1>and just walk out there, dude, and you'll get your shot.
<v Speaker 1>I actually think that would be kind of neat if
<v Speaker 1>at the end of all this, maybe someone like him
<v Speaker 1>answers the challenge and wins. But that's for like later
<v Speaker 1>on though. But before he could tell nick All this
<v Speaker 1>what he was wanting, Miz popped up and said, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we want a shot at the tag team titles, and
<v Speaker 1>all this said that he would take it under advisement.
<v Speaker 1>Hayes was very frustrated because that's not what he was
<v Speaker 1>looking for. Meanwhile, they cut over and they show an
<v Speaker 1>suv arriving at the arena and who steps out but
<v Speaker 1>the Women's Intercontinental Champion, Becky Lynch. She is in the house.
<v Speaker 1>After this, we had Alistair Black, who used to have
<v Speaker 1>a house of his own called the House of Black,
<v Speaker 1>one on one with Damian Priest. As Priest was coming
<v Speaker 1>out to the ring, Black ambushed him and it turned
<v Speaker 1>into a brawl. At ringside. Black caught Priest with a
<v Speaker 1>knee to the face that drove him over the barricade,
<v Speaker 1>and we got another commercial break. You know, I may
<v Speaker 1>have to start reviewing the commercials. What do you think
<v Speaker 1>we may have to start incorporating commercial reviews into these shows.
<v Speaker 1>As they returned, Priest was in the aisle with officials.
<v Speaker 1>They were checking on him. He looked dazed and out
<v Speaker 1>of it, but he stormed back down to the ring,
<v Speaker 1>only to get kicked in the head. Now, with both
<v Speaker 1>men in the ring, they rang the bell to signify
<v Speaker 1>the official start of the match. The match hadn't actually
<v Speaker 1>started yet, so now the match is officially underway. After
<v Speaker 1>Priest missed the punch, Black took over with another kick
<v Speaker 1>to the noggin. Priest recovered with a surprise headbutt, and
<v Speaker 1>Black answered with a modified crucifix submission. Black took Priest
<v Speaker 1>down with a top rope mediora for a two count,
<v Speaker 1>and I shit, you not strike me down if I'm
<v Speaker 1>lying to you. They took another fucking commercial break. They
<v Speaker 1>had not even been back for a full two minutes,
<v Speaker 1>and they went to another commercial break. And this is
<v Speaker 1>where I realized that they must be absolutely terrified, terrified
<v Speaker 1>of running out of time at the end of the
<v Speaker 1>show because USA no longer gives them an overrun. Can't
<v Speaker 1>eviny overruns. You got a hard out at ten pm,
<v Speaker 1>and they obviously didn't want to run out of time
<v Speaker 1>for the closing segment. This whole show was built around
<v Speaker 1>the closing segment, and so we got to hurry up
<v Speaker 1>and get all the commercials out of the way early
<v Speaker 1>so we got plenty of time for what's coming up
<v Speaker 1>later on in the show. So the action resumed with
<v Speaker 1>Priest attempting a razor's edge, not a chokes lamb, but
<v Speaker 1>Black avoid had both moves. He landed a kick for
<v Speaker 1>a two count. Are we at four hundred and fifty
<v Speaker 1>seven likes? Look at that be the booker unlocked? Now
<v Speaker 1>can we get that bonus round to be the booker.
<v Speaker 1>We're at five out of fifteen on that goal, so
<v Speaker 1>we'll see if we get there. But that's awesome. Priest
<v Speaker 1>fired back with a hard right hand and he landed
<v Speaker 1>a series of strikes splash in the corner and then
<v Speaker 1>a big boot and a flying crossbody on the outside.
<v Speaker 1>Priest cleared off the announced desk and then he dropped
<v Speaker 1>Black onto the desk with a razor's edge. The table
<v Speaker 1>did not break. Priest then went for a South of
<v Speaker 1>Heaven chokes lamb in the ring. Black, though grabbed the
<v Speaker 1>referee to prevent being taken up into the air, and
<v Speaker 1>in all the confusion that ensued here, he landed the
<v Speaker 1>Black mass kick flush right on the jaw covered him
<v Speaker 1>and he got the three count. What I was able
<v Speaker 1>to actually see of this match, what little bit I
<v Speaker 1>saw was solid. It was a solid match. Never felt
<v Speaker 1>like a got out of first gear, but it was
<v Speaker 1>a solid, you know, hard hitting, you know, pretty fairly
<v Speaker 1>even match. I feel like they gave more to Black,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, mostly a fairly even match between these
<v Speaker 1>two with the right man going over. Alistair Black needed
<v Speaker 1>a win like this. They have done next to nothing
<v Speaker 1>with him on this show in the ring, like he'll
<v Speaker 1>get plenty of vignettes, he'll bump into somebody in the
<v Speaker 1>backstage area, so like he has a presence on the show.
<v Speaker 1>But I've been waiting for them to really get going
<v Speaker 1>with him against someone in like an actual real singles program.
<v Speaker 1>And tonight we at least had a proper wrestling match
<v Speaker 1>with him that went, you know, a decent amount of time.
<v Speaker 1>We need to see more of that. He's been back
<v Speaker 1>now for so many months. I mean he came back
<v Speaker 1>after WrestleMania, right, so that would have been late April.
<v Speaker 1>It's now September. What have they really done with Alistair
<v Speaker 1>Black since he's been back, Not a whole hell of
<v Speaker 1>a lot. So I appreciate the fact that we actually
<v Speaker 1>had him wrestling against somebody with some name here on
<v Speaker 1>this show and he won. It would have been a
<v Speaker 1>huge mistake for him not to win. My hope is
<v Speaker 1>that because it definitely is not a case where this
<v Speaker 1>is over, especially the way they did that finish. So
<v Speaker 1>they're going to run this back at least one more time,
<v Speaker 1>maybe twice. My hope is that, you know, it ends
<v Speaker 1>up on a pl at some point. That's what they
<v Speaker 1>did with Seamus and russev Right. They had two matches,
<v Speaker 1>the deciding one they threw on the Clash in Paris
<v Speaker 1>card and look what happened. It ended up being one
<v Speaker 1>of the best things on the entire show. So, with
<v Speaker 1>any luck, whether it's Crown Jewel, we'll see. Hopefully they
<v Speaker 1>are able to get at like a proper pl match
<v Speaker 1>at some point to blow this off the right way.
<v Speaker 1>We got a Twisted Tea sponsored video promo with comments
<v Speaker 1>interspersed from both Drew McIntyre and Ran and they exchange
<v Speaker 1>words about one another ahead of their match, which is
<v Speaker 1>going to be taking place next Friday night on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>They also mentioned that Brock Lesner will be on next
<v Speaker 1>week's show live, so maybe we'll get our explanation then
<v Speaker 1>from Brock about why now? Why now? Maybe it's as
<v Speaker 1>simple as you know what, John, I hear you're leaving.
<v Speaker 1>I can't let that happen. I can't let you leave
<v Speaker 1>without one more ass kicking for good measure, right something.
<v Speaker 1>So I guess maybe next week we'll finally hear from him.
<v Speaker 1>And they also announced that Tiffany Stratton is defending her
<v Speaker 1>Women's championship next Friday against Jade Cargill. So I like
<v Speaker 1>that they announced a bunch of things in advance, and
<v Speaker 1>some big things too. I mean Orton and McIntyre's a
<v Speaker 1>big match, the women's title match. I was wondering if
<v Speaker 1>they might save that for Russell Palooza. They're going to
<v Speaker 1>do it next week. They've already said Brock is going
<v Speaker 1>to be there, so they've already, you know, set up
<v Speaker 1>a pretty big show next week. The doing the Orton
<v Speaker 1>and McIntyre match on TV, to me, it all but
<v Speaker 1>confirms that they're they're gonna go with Cody and Drew
<v Speaker 1>Wreussell Palooza, and obviously that's going to be the direction.
<v Speaker 1>But there's been some talk about maybe he won't be
<v Speaker 1>done with street fighter stuff and he may miss the
<v Speaker 1>show and they might do Orton and McIntyre on that
<v Speaker 1>show in Indianapolis. The fact that they're doing it on
<v Speaker 1>TV next week, I mean, look, is it possible we
<v Speaker 1>get no winner and then they run it back at
<v Speaker 1>the pl It's possible. But the fact they're doing it
<v Speaker 1>next week, tells me that we're getting Cody and Drew
<v Speaker 1>on that first ESPN show. I cannot imagine they want
<v Speaker 1>to go and have that first big ESPN show and
<v Speaker 1>not have the WWE champion defending his title on that show.
<v Speaker 1>We already know Seth Rollins is not defending the World
<v Speaker 1>Heavyweight title. You have to have a WWEE Championship match
<v Speaker 1>on that show. So not only will we get Cody
<v Speaker 1>and Drew on September twentieth, but I would imagine next
<v Speaker 1>week we will get Cody Roads back on TV. That
<v Speaker 1>would seem like the perfect place for him to make
<v Speaker 1>his return and to target Drew McIntyre for what Drew
<v Speaker 1>did to him now. Kathy Kelly interviewed Tiffany Stratton backstage
<v Speaker 1>and she talked about beating Jade in their match next week,
<v Speaker 1>just like she did at SummerSlam. They cut to Jade,
<v Speaker 1>who was watching the promo on a monitor in the
<v Speaker 1>back somewhere. Jade was then confronted by Nya Jacks. This
<v Speaker 1>will never ever end having Naya in this general orbit
<v Speaker 1>of Tiffany and Jade, it will never end. She showed
<v Speaker 1>up here. Jade told Nya that she could get in
<v Speaker 1>line for a shot at the title after she beats
<v Speaker 1>Tiffany next week, or we can go sort it out
<v Speaker 1>in the ring right now, and Nya chose to walk
<v Speaker 1>away instead. They also showed Becky Lynch backstage in Nick
<v Speaker 1>Aldos's office all this wanted to know why she was there.
<v Speaker 1>He told her, look, I can't have any more issues tonight,
<v Speaker 1>and she said, I never cause issues and she walked off.
<v Speaker 1>Saw Saw in the chat says, Tiffany is the backstage
<v Speaker 1>women's champion. It feels like it right she is the
<v Speaker 1>backstage women's champion. We had Julia. Speaking of women's champions,
<v Speaker 1>we have the United States Champion, Julia, and she has
<v Speaker 1>Keana James with her in her corner taking on Meechen
<v Speaker 1>and I I saw her walk out here and I
<v Speaker 1>just thought, holy shit, do my eyes deceive me? Or
<v Speaker 1>is that Julia on my screen? I can't believe it
<v Speaker 1>an actual Julia match. You would have a better chance
<v Speaker 1>of finding Bigfoot or Lockness than finding Julia wrestling a
<v Speaker 1>match and defending her championship on this show. So the
<v Speaker 1>fact that she actually wrestled tonight is a step up
<v Speaker 1>from what they've had her doing. But she's on her
<v Speaker 1>way out to the ring, and thankfully, thankfully, we went
<v Speaker 1>to commercial sixty seconds into this, so I don't want
<v Speaker 1>to be too overwhelmed by this wrestling shit, so thankfully
<v Speaker 1>they went to a commercial break. Sixty seconds into this.
<v Speaker 1>They come back from break, both women are trading headbuts
<v Speaker 1>and German sup plex is followed by a double kick
<v Speaker 1>that left both women down. Miechen landed a cannon ball
<v Speaker 1>in the corner. She went for eat defeat. Julia counted
<v Speaker 1>with a Northern Lights bomb for a two count. Michin
<v Speaker 1>responded with a sitout power bomb for a near fall.
<v Speaker 1>So at this point, Keana James gets up on the
<v Speaker 1>apron because apparently Julia cannot beat Michen without some help.
<v Speaker 1>Keana James gets up on the apron. We got a
<v Speaker 1>very clunky looking spot here where Julia I believe she
<v Speaker 1>fell into the ropes, like into the second rope, and
<v Speaker 1>Keana had to sell it and she had. Kiana ended
<v Speaker 1>up basically draped over the middle rope from the apron
<v Speaker 1>and Michin dropped the leg on her. This was this
<v Speaker 1>just looked terrible. Unfortunately for Michen. That left her open
<v Speaker 1>to Julia's arrive. Der Chini and then Julia got the
<v Speaker 1>three count and after the match was over, Kana attacked
<v Speaker 1>Michen and had to be pulled away by referees. Uh
<v Speaker 1>h yeah. First of all, the crowd didn't give a
<v Speaker 1>shit about this. Crowd did not care. Crowd has not
<v Speaker 1>been given any reason to care. And that's what makes
<v Speaker 1>the whole Julia things so sad. They were very quick
<v Speaker 1>and very eager to put a championship on her, and
<v Speaker 1>then the follow up to that has been horrendous. And
<v Speaker 1>when Julia comes out and gets crickets, people noticed this
<v Speaker 1>and people will blame Julia for this. I'm sure it's
<v Speaker 1>already happening, but if it is, and it will, it
<v Speaker 1>will be Sue and people will be talking about how
<v Speaker 1>Julie is not over or this is not working. Bah
<v Speaker 1>blah blah blah lah. Let me ask you a question.
<v Speaker 1>What has WWE done exactly to help get Julia over
<v Speaker 1>on this show? Right? They threw a belt on her,
<v Speaker 1>They were really quick to do that. They put Keana
<v Speaker 1>James with her, which I initially I said, hey, you
<v Speaker 1>know what, this might not be a bad idea her
<v Speaker 1>representative right or her mouthpiece. It's very clear to me
<v Speaker 1>that this is designed more to get Keana James over
<v Speaker 1>than it is to get Julia over. That's number one.
<v Speaker 1>Number two, they are not doing they are not accentuating
<v Speaker 1>what I feel are Julia's strengths. Julia should have come
<v Speaker 1>in here, and even her run at NXT, she had
<v Speaker 1>a nice it wasn't that long, but she had a
<v Speaker 1>nice running NXT. But what I think you need to
<v Speaker 1>really tap into here is that Osca element from when
<v Speaker 1>Oscar debuted in NXT. She was a killer. She was
<v Speaker 1>a killer. She would work, you know, kind of a
<v Speaker 1>little on the stae and her matches, but they portrayed her,
<v Speaker 1>and they did this with SHANEA Basler in NXT as well,
<v Speaker 1>So it's a formula that fucking works. But they portrayed
<v Speaker 1>these women like killers, right, and they're unstoppable. Nobody can
<v Speaker 1>beat them. They're vicious in the ring. That's what makes
<v Speaker 1>them different. That's what they needed to do with Julia.
<v Speaker 1>If you ever saw Julia or wrestle any of her
<v Speaker 1>matches outside of WWE, I mean that should have been obvious,
<v Speaker 1>like that's the right way to portray her on TV.
<v Speaker 1>There is nothing about her and her presentation that screams
<v Speaker 1>you know, dangerous in the way that Julia used to
<v Speaker 1>be dangerous. There's nothing about her presentation that really would
<v Speaker 1>give anybody a reason to be invested in her. Whether
<v Speaker 1>it's as a babyface or a heel, it doesn't matter.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, look, she's a beautiful woman, she's the beautiful madness,
<v Speaker 1>and she obviously can wrestle, and that's great, so can
<v Speaker 1>everybody else on the fucking roster. That's why they were
<v Speaker 1>on TV. Of course they can wrestle. What is it
<v Speaker 1>about them that separates them from everybody else in the division?
<v Speaker 1>They put somebody with her, so what she doesn't do
<v Speaker 1>anything on these shows, So when she gets a fucking match,
<v Speaker 1>of course, nobody is going to react, and nobody is
<v Speaker 1>going to care. People are gonna sit on their hands
<v Speaker 1>and they're not gonna give a shit. And the more
<v Speaker 1>that this continues, it will not work. And then eventually
<v Speaker 1>they'll take the title off of her, and who the
<v Speaker 1>hell knows what's gonna happen with Julie. It just makes
<v Speaker 1>me sad. I was so excited, you know, we're finally
<v Speaker 1>going to get Julia on TV. You know what, what
<v Speaker 1>I've seen of her is really cool. She looks cool,
<v Speaker 1>and this woman is going to be a star, right
<v Speaker 1>she just has that whatever that intangible, whatever it is
<v Speaker 1>about her, She can be a star, you know, in
<v Speaker 1>a similar way that Oscar became a star. She also
<v Speaker 1>had a certain charisma about her, but you were a
<v Speaker 1>little afraid of her, and Julia could have had that.
<v Speaker 1>She does not have that. Right now. They have watered down,
<v Speaker 1>they have neutered her, and they have to change that.
<v Speaker 1>She can be a real player in that division. She
<v Speaker 1>could have a solid runs the United States champion. There's
<v Speaker 1>nothing solid about what they have done with her so
<v Speaker 1>far since putting that title on her, it's been nothing
<v Speaker 1>but a complete disappointment. She could hardly buy television time
<v Speaker 1>on most weeks. People have no reason to care. They
<v Speaker 1>have no reason to care, and what they did here
<v Speaker 1>was kind of the bare minimum of what they can do,
<v Speaker 1>you know, your prototypical kind of get in and get out,
<v Speaker 1>you know, mid card women's match here on SmackDown. Nobody
<v Speaker 1>will remember it tomorrow. Nobody has a reason to especially
<v Speaker 1>not with everything else that was on the show tonight.
<v Speaker 1>It was a complete afterthought. They had time to kill
<v Speaker 1>in the middle of the show. So this is what
<v Speaker 1>they gave us, but they're putting in the bare minimum effort.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see how that helps Julia. Putting a title
<v Speaker 1>on somebody isn't enough. It's what you do with it.
<v Speaker 1>The wrestler makes the title. The title doesn't make the wrestler.
<v Speaker 1>What they are doing with the wrestler right now is underwhelming,
<v Speaker 1>and it's unbelievable to me when I look at the
<v Speaker 1>way that the US title on SmackDown has been portrayed
<v Speaker 1>and booked and treated as compared to the Women's Intercontinental
<v Speaker 1>title on Raw. Becky Lynch was on SmackDown tonight. She's
<v Speaker 1>making appearances on both shows. You imagine Julia showing up
<v Speaker 1>on Raw. Who would care? But Becky Lynchman, She's on Raw,
<v Speaker 1>She's in the main events segment. She's back on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>She's in the main events segment. She's having these killer
<v Speaker 1>matches with Lyra Valkyria and different people, and nick Well,
<v Speaker 1>we won't mention Nicki Bell's match, but look at what
<v Speaker 1>they've done with Becky Lynch, look at what they've done
<v Speaker 1>with Julia. You tell me. We got a video recap
<v Speaker 1>of the Secret hervists last week taking out Charlotte Flair's knee.
<v Speaker 1>Backstage live, Charlotte was I guess in the trainer's room
<v Speaker 1>and she was lamenting her injury, her storyline injury. When
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss showed up to play doctor right down to
<v Speaker 1>a doctor Lilly doll And to assure Charlotte that the
<v Speaker 1>power of friendship will heal her pain, well, it was
<v Speaker 1>two minutes of my life. I can never get back.
<v Speaker 1>Actually even worse after this, I heard burn it down
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, oh God, he's here. We get him
<v Speaker 1>on Mondays, we get the vision enough on Mondays. Now
<v Speaker 1>he's on Fridays. It's seth Rollins, the world heavyweight champion
<v Speaker 1>making an unannounced appearance, and he comes out in the crowd.
<v Speaker 1>He shrutted out. He was on like the concourse for
<v Speaker 1>the closing segment, but first a commercial. They come back
<v Speaker 1>from commercial. Rollin said that tonight he's still in the crowd.
<v Speaker 1>And Rollin says, tonight we would all be witnesses to
<v Speaker 1>history because the legend of chicag I goes hometown hero
<v Speaker 1>CM Punk would die for good and to do the
<v Speaker 1>honors with him, Rollins introduced his sexy, brilliant, incredible Irish wife,
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch and Becky made her way out to the
<v Speaker 1>ring while Rollin's stayed in the crowd. You know, I think, honestly,
<v Speaker 1>I am having commercial PTSD watching these shows, because he
<v Speaker 1>said a few words here and he introduced Becky, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm just like, I'm ready for it, Like I'm ready
<v Speaker 1>for another commercial. I'm like, give it to me, give
<v Speaker 1>it to me. I'm like, I'm thinking a commercial break
<v Speaker 1>is coming. I'm Jonesan for one, you know. And then
<v Speaker 1>there was no commercial. I'm like, oh my god, I
<v Speaker 1>think we're done. I think we're done for the night
<v Speaker 1>with the commercials. I think we are. I'm losing my
<v Speaker 1>fucking mind watching these shows. So Becky Lynch comes out
<v Speaker 1>and the crowd showers her with chance of a j Lee,
<v Speaker 1>and she says, how dare you chant another person's name
<v Speaker 1>while I'm standing in this ring? And she boasted about
<v Speaker 1>being the greatest women's wrestler of all time. And it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't just her saying it. She mentioned she mentioned Sports
<v Speaker 1>Illustrated said it. I think Sports Illustrated said it. And
<v Speaker 1>then she started insulting all of the Chicago sports teams
<v Speaker 1>one by one. So she said the Blackhawks suck and
<v Speaker 1>the Cubs suck, and the bulls suck. CM Punk sucks,
<v Speaker 1>and all of you suck. So Punk entered to a
<v Speaker 1>massive reaction from his hometown crowd. He made his way
<v Speaker 1>down to the ring. Now again, Seth is still in
<v Speaker 1>the crowd. So in the ring, it is CM Punk
<v Speaker 1>and it is Becky Lynch. Punk said that this wasn't
<v Speaker 1>about Becky, but rather her cowardly husband hiding up in
<v Speaker 1>a skyboy. He wasn't really in a skybox. Lynch asked
<v Speaker 1>how Punk's pride was feeling after what happened on Monday night.
<v Speaker 1>That was when she smacked him around a few times.
<v Speaker 1>Punk acknowledged the aj Lee because they kept chanting aj Lee,
<v Speaker 1>and so Punk Acknowledgy. He set her name. He did
<v Speaker 1>the thing before she even came out. He acknowledged the
<v Speaker 1>aj Lee chance. He then asked, Becky, do you actually
<v Speaker 1>think that I don't have shooters who wouldn't get into
<v Speaker 1>the ring and kick kick your ass. He called out
<v Speaker 1>his sister, My sister's here in the crowd. He mentioned Bailey,
<v Speaker 1>He mentioned Rhea Ripley. Maybe Rhea Ripley will show up
<v Speaker 1>and we'll kick Becky's ass. So basically, you know, by
<v Speaker 1>process of elimination here, he's eliminating all the options for
<v Speaker 1>who might be coming out here in the spot. So
<v Speaker 1>we knew it wasn't going to be Bailey, and we
<v Speaker 1>knew it wasn't going to be Rhea Ripley, and we
<v Speaker 1>knew it wasn't going to be Cmpunk's sister. What an
<v Speaker 1>amazing surprise that would be if it was his sister.
<v Speaker 1>So he rules all of them out. Basically, she slapped
<v Speaker 1>him again, smacked him right across the face, dared him
<v Speaker 1>to find somebody to fight her. So Punk leaves the ring.
<v Speaker 1>He starts speaking from the floor. He says that this
<v Speaker 1>crowd knows that he would never put his hands on
<v Speaker 1>a lady, but thankfully he has somebody who will. Then
<v Speaker 1>it happened. Aj Lee's music hits her old music, the
<v Speaker 1>music that we last heard her using in WWE. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if that's that probably wasn't Jim Johnson. That
<v Speaker 1>was probably cfo's at that point. But whoever did it,
<v Speaker 1>it was not deaf rebel. It was not some deaf
<v Speaker 1>rebel monstrosity. Not yet give it time, but for now
<v Speaker 1>she still has her old music, and everybody in Chicago
<v Speaker 1>lost their minds, and this fucking building they went nuts
<v Speaker 1>because it's been ten years and it's Chicago and she's
<v Speaker 1>married to see Empunk, so of course they love aj Lee.
<v Speaker 1>She comes out and again not unexpected but just an
<v Speaker 1>insane reaction for her, and she looks great, and she
<v Speaker 1>skips her way down to the ring like it was
<v Speaker 1>twenty fifteen all over again. And you hear, you know,
<v Speaker 1>light it up, light it up. Don't tell Travis Scott,
<v Speaker 1>He'll light it up. And so she sees Punk and
<v Speaker 1>kind of smiles at him because Punk is standing right
<v Speaker 1>there by the apron, and then she proceeds to skip
<v Speaker 1>all around the ring outside. Becky in the ring is
<v Speaker 1>just shell shocked. She is selling the fear on her face.
<v Speaker 1>She's just gobsmacked by what she is seeing here. So
<v Speaker 1>aj is absorbing all of the holy shit chants. She
<v Speaker 1>gets up on the apron, she gets in the ring,
<v Speaker 1>She's sitting on the middle rope like she used to do,
<v Speaker 1>and then aj charges her, tackles Becky to the ground
<v Speaker 1>and starts raining punches down upon her. Punches and bunches
<v Speaker 1>here to Becky Lynch. Becky tried to escape, didn't work.
<v Speaker 1>Aj gave a she had her back on her feet.
<v Speaker 1>AJ licks her hand and gives her a nice smack
<v Speaker 1>right across the face, and then Becky is just flopping
<v Speaker 1>around like a fish. She rolls out to the ring.
<v Speaker 1>She bails to the bed because now Rollins has come down,
<v Speaker 1>and Rollin's and her they bail down the aisle. Punk
<v Speaker 1>gets back in the ring and AJ jumps into his arms,
<v Speaker 1>as she did with so many other people when she
<v Speaker 1>was being pushed, all the angles that she did with
<v Speaker 1>fucking remember Caine, Remember that episode of Raw where AJ
<v Speaker 1>came down with a cane mask on, But I remember
<v Speaker 1>she jumped up in Caine's arms one. She did this
<v Speaker 1>shit with everybody. I mean, see Im, Punk and Daniel Bryan.
<v Speaker 1>She was playing all kinds of mind games with them
<v Speaker 1>at one point and turning them against each other. I'm
<v Speaker 1>telling you she was. She was a main event, featured
<v Speaker 1>performer on that show consistently for months, and some people
<v Speaker 1>maybe either weren't watching back then and don't realize it,
<v Speaker 1>or they may have forgotten. You know, it wasn't just
<v Speaker 1>that Aj was a Deevish chainampion, right, sure, she was
<v Speaker 1>the Divas Champion and she would wrestle the other divas,
<v Speaker 1>but she was one of the featured performers on Monday
<v Speaker 1>Night Raw and SmackDown, but mostly Raw. She was the
<v Speaker 1>Raw general manager at one point. She was a key
<v Speaker 1>player on that show for a good two or three
<v Speaker 1>year period. She had a lot of fans. She had
<v Speaker 1>a big fan following, and she's been able to maintain
<v Speaker 1>that following obviously over all these years. So that played
<v Speaker 1>into the reaction that she got. Wasn't just some random
<v Speaker 1>person showing up here. It was somebody who for a
<v Speaker 1>while there was a big name on these shows that
<v Speaker 1>people grew up watching. So she jumped up into her
<v Speaker 1>husband's arms and they shared a kiss. At least I
<v Speaker 1>think they did because the camera it was the perfect
<v Speaker 1>moment they thought for the camera to cut away to
<v Speaker 1>show us Seth Rollins's face in the aisleway. Then they
<v Speaker 1>cut back to punkin Aj in the ring, and that's
<v Speaker 1>how they went off the air. We got a fun,
<v Speaker 1>happy ending here to this show in front of the
<v Speaker 1>Chicago crowd. The worst kept secret in wrestling. Obviously, it
<v Speaker 1>didn't hurt the reaction to any of this. People still
<v Speaker 1>lost their minds. They were going to lose their minds
<v Speaker 1>no matter what. Look, it's hard to keep surprises in
<v Speaker 1>wrestling today. Somehow, Cody Rhodes was able to keep it
<v Speaker 1>a secret that he and Brandy were having their second child.
<v Speaker 1>It's rare, but there are times wore a brock, even
<v Speaker 1>right at Summerslim. There are times where we get a
<v Speaker 1>surprise that is genuinely a surprise. The way the storyline
<v Speaker 1>was done, things that were said on TV, it was
<v Speaker 1>going to be impossible. The fans themselves were chanting for
<v Speaker 1>aj Lee, so again, you would have to just be
<v Speaker 1>not paying attention to not have aj Lee's name on
<v Speaker 1>your brain coming into this show tonight. People were going
<v Speaker 1>to figure it out. People did figure it out, and
<v Speaker 1>as you saw here, it didn't take away from the
<v Speaker 1>reaction that she got. Becky I thought was great here.
<v Speaker 1>She sold the shock of it great, and the attack
<v Speaker 1>by aj I mean she was selling it like fucking
<v Speaker 1>holy Field was throwing jabs at her, so that was great.
<v Speaker 1>Aj is rocking more abs than her husband's got, so
<v Speaker 1>she's looking great. Easily. The best part of the show
<v Speaker 1>was the closing segment here. Actually I take that back,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sorry. Easily the best part of the show the commercials.
<v Speaker 1>I thought the commercials this week were quite great, a
<v Speaker 1>step up from last week. That BK commercial I'm a
<v Speaker 1>big fan of that. I can't wait to see what
<v Speaker 1>they come up with next week. So the commercials easily
<v Speaker 1>the best part of the entire show. After the commercials,
<v Speaker 1>the return of aj Lee, and after the return of
<v Speaker 1>aj Lee, the John Cena stuff and the match with
<v Speaker 1>sammy'san at the beginning of the show, in that order,
<v Speaker 1>those were the best parts of the entire show. Everything
<v Speaker 1>else in the middle was just there. Priest in Black again,
<v Speaker 1>solid match, but never really got out of that first gear.
<v Speaker 1>I know they're gonna run it back again, maybe with
<v Speaker 1>a stipulation, maybe on a pl at some point. It
<v Speaker 1>was a perfectly fine television match. But if you saw
<v Speaker 1>nothing else on this show, you missed nothing. You miss nothing.
<v Speaker 1>You watch the John Cena stuff at the beginning, it
<v Speaker 1>takes up the first forty five minutes of the show,
<v Speaker 1>and then you watch that closing segment. That is what
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown was all about tonight. You know, people were coming
<v Speaker 1>into this show saying that this is like the biggest
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown of the entire year, you know, bigger than the
<v Speaker 1>post WrestleMania SmackDown. It felt that way coming into this
<v Speaker 1>show at a time when SmackDown has been very hard
<v Speaker 1>to watch. SmackDown has not been that good. You're being
<v Speaker 1>honest with yourself. SmackDown has not been a fucking good show.
<v Speaker 1>This was a show where people felt like they were
<v Speaker 1>genuinely excited, like they were actively looking for I can't
<v Speaker 1>wait to watch SmackDown, especially coming out of that teas
<v Speaker 1>on Monday. So I was looking forward to the show
<v Speaker 1>tonight and the key segments that had to deliver. They
<v Speaker 1>did with they had to do, but you'd take one
<v Speaker 1>or both of those out, and boy, this show is.
<v Speaker 1>The show is in some trouble right now. And it
<v Speaker 1>doesn't help that they've been without the WWE champion now
<v Speaker 1>for what's it been three weeks, maybe a month, probably
<v Speaker 1>about three weeks right since they did the injury angle
<v Speaker 1>with Cody. It's tough. John Seen is not on the
<v Speaker 1>show every week. John Seen is not on the show
<v Speaker 1>at all anymore. Brock is back, and Brock's part time
<v Speaker 1>at best. Cody's been away filming his movie. Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 1>got hurt. It sucks he's not around anymore. Randy Orton
<v Speaker 1>barely shows up. You know, he's got that sweet, that
<v Speaker 1>sweet schedule. Good for him, then he's earned it, but
<v Speaker 1>it hurts the rest of the show. That's why we
<v Speaker 1>get the MFT so much. That's why they feel so overexposed.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I'd be very happy for them to overexpose
<v Speaker 1>a faction if they actually had a story that was ongoing,
<v Speaker 1>that was interesting and for a while that was the
<v Speaker 1>bloodline until they ran that into the ground and they
<v Speaker 1>did everything they could with it. But for a while there,
<v Speaker 1>especially when Sammy was part of the Bloodline, that was
<v Speaker 1>appointment television here on this show, like episodic week to
<v Speaker 1>week television, developing stories and characters, and it carried SmackDown
<v Speaker 1>until it didn't. They don't have anything like that right now,
<v Speaker 1>the MFTs. They ain't it. They just don't have anything
<v Speaker 1>like that on this show right now. So tonight the
<v Speaker 1>excitement level was there. I wish that it could be
<v Speaker 1>there like that every week. Next week, they've already announced
<v Speaker 1>McIntyre and Randy Orton, they've already announced the women's championship
<v Speaker 1>match with Tiffany and Jade Brock will be there. So
<v Speaker 1>they've already told you there's some big things happening on
<v Speaker 1>the show next week. Hopefully some of this can carry
<v Speaker 1>over to that. Let's take a look at the Twitter
<v Speaker 1>poll the report card. How would you grade? Smack down
<v Speaker 1>from Chicago? Sixty six percent give this show a A grade,
<v Speaker 1>Twenty three point eight percent give this show a B.
<v Speaker 1>Just four and a half percent give this show a C.
<v Speaker 1>See I would have given this show a C because,
<v Speaker 1>as the Cookie Monster would say, C is for commercials.
<v Speaker 1>And then five point eight percent give the show a D.
<v Speaker 1>That's with almost two thousand votes in look at that shit,
<v Speaker 1>so you can vote and follow along at Solemn Monster.
<v Speaker 1>Eight out of fifteen on the bonus supercheck goal. That's
<v Speaker 1>for the bonus B the Booker. We're getting to be
<v Speaker 1>the Booker no matter what tonight. Today's episode is sponsored
<v Speaker 1>by Hymns. It's an experience a lot of men are
<v Speaker 1>terrified of. They look in the mirror one day and
<v Speaker 1>they notice their hair is starting to thin. It doesn't
<v Speaker 1>happen at the same age for everyone. For some it
<v Speaker 1>happens earlier than others. But maybe it runs in your family.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it's a hereditary thing. There are lots of reasons
<v Speaker 1>that it happens, but you see it and you think, well,
<v Speaker 1>that's it. My life is over. It's baseball hats for
<v Speaker 1>me from now on. Seriously, do you know how many
<v Speaker 1>men are walking around right now with a Mets hat
<v Speaker 1>on their head who probably couldn't even name three players
<v Speaker 1>on the entire team. They just need an excuse to
<v Speaker 1>cover up on top. But guys, you don't need to

<v Speaker 1>Take a look at your messages, Got some good ones
<v Speaker 1>in here. Retro says most weeks, I forget the MFTs
<v Speaker 1>even exist. How is that possible? They're all over these shows, dude,
<v Speaker 1>How do you forget? If there's one thing I can't
<v Speaker 1>say is that I forget about the MFTs. They don't
<v Speaker 1>let me forget about the MFTs. It's impossible to forget
<v Speaker 1>about the MFTs. What show are you watching we kick
<v Speaker 1>off here with death scythe I hope you're having a
<v Speaker 1>good night. Jacob Fought Too recently was a guest on
<v Speaker 1>The Rich Eisen Show and said that he would like
<v Speaker 1>to have a match with Jeff Hardy one day. What
<v Speaker 1>are your thoughts. I would love to see that match.
<v Speaker 1>I know Jeff. I mean, Jeff had a great feud
<v Speaker 1>there with Umaga. You know, another member of the dynasty
<v Speaker 1>there who could work his ass off. They had some
<v Speaker 1>great matches together. So I know Jeff's you know, a
<v Speaker 1>lot older now than he was then. But I think
<v Speaker 1>a Jacob Fought to Jeff Hardy match I think would
<v Speaker 1>be would be good. I don't know if it'll ever happen,
<v Speaker 1>but I'd be in favor of it. Holiday one ninety seven, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Solo Sena is scheduled to appear at Survivor Series on
<v Speaker 1>November twenty ninth. Then there will be a two week
<v Speaker 1>gap until his last match on Saturday Night's main event
<v Speaker 1>on December thirteenth. Curious how they will build his last
<v Speaker 1>match with no TV show appearances. Yeah, I have no
<v Speaker 1>idea what they're going to do as far as the
<v Speaker 1>opponent or how they want to build it up. Are
<v Speaker 1>they going to announce an opponent. Are they going to
<v Speaker 1>save it as a surprise. We don't know. We don't
<v Speaker 1>know how they're going to work it. One thing we
<v Speaker 1>do know is that John Cena will not have any
<v Speaker 1>input into it, because John Cena is always reminding us
<v Speaker 1>when he does interviews that he doesn't lobby for opponents,
<v Speaker 1>and he just shows up to work and does what
<v Speaker 1>he's told. So it comes down to whatever Triple Hs
<v Speaker 1>in the creative team want to want to do with
<v Speaker 1>John Cena. They did him dirty with that heel turn,
<v Speaker 1>so I don't trust them. Terrible Dried Chicken. I am
<v Speaker 1>convinced WWE's philosophy is still the same with or without Vince,
<v Speaker 1>only catered towards an audience of one. Who is the audience.
<v Speaker 1>It is the almighty dollar. It's usually how business works.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't know why you're shocked by this.
<v Speaker 1>It is indeed the most important thing to them, But
<v Speaker 1>I don't know why anybody would have expected that that
<v Speaker 1>would be any different now. Joseph Stewart, Happy birthday to
<v Speaker 1>the legend and icon Michael Keaton, and happy thirty third
<v Speaker 1>anniversary to Batman. The animated series. Yes, Happy Birthday to
<v Speaker 1>Michael Keaton, still my favorite Batman. Also buy or sell
<v Speaker 1>The Mask or ace Ventura The Mask Holiday one ninety seven.
<v Speaker 1>And the fact that Michin kicked out of Julia's Northern
<v Speaker 1>Lights sup plex is exactly why the women's US title
<v Speaker 1>scene is problematic. Then to drag the feud on, I
<v Speaker 1>guess that's the end of the message. Yeah. Yeah, the
<v Speaker 1>Northern Lights Bomb didn't win it, but the arrivederci ni did.
<v Speaker 1>I think it should be the other way around. Northern
<v Speaker 1>Lights Bomb should be how she is finishing off these opponents,
<v Speaker 1>or at least you want to have a couple of
<v Speaker 1>different finishes. That's fine, But yeah, for Mechen to kick
<v Speaker 1>out of that in just a nothing match on TV
<v Speaker 1>was very stupid. Dry Chicken says need more title belts
<v Speaker 1>in WWE. The roster is bloated with talent. They got
<v Speaker 1>nothing to lose US and intercontinental titles aren't valuable. Aw
<v Speaker 1>Ring of Honor, TNA, Triple A, CMLL, New Japan and
<v Speaker 1>other promotions have lots of title belts. Champions don't feel devalued,
<v Speaker 1>they're less over ex Yeah, I couldn't disagree with you.
<v Speaker 1>More like, you're so wrong on that, Like it hurts.
<v Speaker 1>It hurts my soul to hear you say that you
<v Speaker 1>think we need more belts in WWE. We do not
<v Speaker 1>need more belts in WWE. Why would you think the
<v Speaker 1>WWE needs more belts when they are showing you that
<v Speaker 1>they barely know how to book the current belts that
<v Speaker 1>they have. You think adding more belts they're gonna suddenly
<v Speaker 1>get better at booking those belts? Are you out of
<v Speaker 1>your mind? Did you not hear what I just said
<v Speaker 1>about Julia? Did my feed cut out when I was
<v Speaker 1>talking about her match? I mean, dude, come on, you
<v Speaker 1>think that they add more mid car championships that that's
<v Speaker 1>gonna help. It's gonna make things worse. That's the last
<v Speaker 1>thing they need. Let them book the existing championship the
<v Speaker 1>right way before they even consider adding more championships. I
<v Speaker 1>think that would be a terrible idea. They want to
<v Speaker 1>buy more belts to hold up their pants, that's fine.
<v Speaker 1>Championship belts absolutely not. He also says, see, I'm Punk
<v Speaker 1>told aj Lee I have the time of my life
<v Speaker 1>and I owe it all to you. Ce Im Punk
<v Speaker 1>and a J Lee are going to have bad ideas
<v Speaker 1>for both Seth and Becky did. I don't even think
<v Speaker 1>aj had a finish does she have a finishing maneuver?
<v Speaker 1>I don't even remember. Dennis Hickey. Hey, Solo, love your videos.
<v Speaker 1>Have you watched Dexter or Dexter Resurrection? If you did,
<v Speaker 1>what was your opinions on it? No spoilers. You know
<v Speaker 1>a good friend of mine was a big fan of
<v Speaker 1>the original Dexter series. I never watched it, although there
<v Speaker 1>was some that was there one or two spinoff or
<v Speaker 1>prequel series because I know one of them just got
<v Speaker 1>canceled and it apparently the first season was very well
<v Speaker 1>received and did well, and they just announced that after
<v Speaker 1>announcing it was greenlit I think for a second season,
<v Speaker 1>they just announced that in fact, it's canceled because they're
<v Speaker 1>trying to save money. But no, I haven't seen any
<v Speaker 1>of the Dexter shows, Anthony Wolf. He Solo signed up
<v Speaker 1>for a VPN with your link and watched SmackDown for
<v Speaker 1>the first time in years. Thanks for the help and
<v Speaker 1>all you do. Well, that's very cool, Anthony. I'm very
<v Speaker 1>happy to hear it. I should have remembered to do
<v Speaker 1>that tonight because I too, am paying for that VPN
<v Speaker 1>and it is a great resource and it would have
<v Speaker 1>saved me a lot of commercials tonight had I used
<v Speaker 1>it to watch the SmackDown Show. That link, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>is in the description down below. You two can take
<v Speaker 1>advantage of it only if you're a sound off listener
<v Speaker 1>birthday boy. At this point, WWE is unwatchable and AJ's
<v Speaker 1>return changes nothing. But they can't have two ajs, So
<v Speaker 1>how about we get styles in AEW we're the best
<v Speaker 1>wrestled hick dude. He had the chance to go when
<v Speaker 1>his last the contract was up. He had the chance
<v Speaker 1>to leave and go to AW He's got friends there,
<v Speaker 1>he opted not to go. Orioles Peak with the ten dollars,
<v Speaker 1>you see, if we're caught up here on this list,
<v Speaker 1>so I can start scrolling not yet, still got some
<v Speaker 1>early ones here, orioles Peak, thank you for the ten
<v Speaker 1>says between Naomi, Nicki, Alexa, Trish and aj Lee. That's
<v Speaker 1>why I never listened to anyone who disrespected the Divas era.
<v Speaker 1>They never suffer from lack of talent, they suffered from
<v Speaker 1>lack of opportunities. Well, it was a lack of opportunities
<v Speaker 1>and in some cases a lack of talent, not necessarily
<v Speaker 1>in the names you've mentioned, but there were definitely some
<v Speaker 1>women in the ring who had no business being in
<v Speaker 1>the ring. Broley seven says it took Becky for something
<v Speaker 1>interesting with the women to occur on SmackDown. They desperately
<v Speaker 1>need help and a draft. Compared to Raw Is Night
<v Speaker 1>and Day, there is no draft needed, Braley, there's no draft.
<v Speaker 1>You don't need a draft. The draft is a dead concept.
<v Speaker 1>You can move the chess pieces around any time you
<v Speaker 1>want to, You can have trades between the two general managers.
<v Speaker 1>We do not need a draft, at least not the
<v Speaker 1>way they used to do it, because those draft TV
<v Speaker 1>shows that they do are fucking boring. I don't ever
<v Speaker 1>want to see a draft show for the rest of
<v Speaker 1>my life. Orioles Peak. Bring Total Divas and the Divas
<v Speaker 1>Championship back, orioles Peak. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Alex with
<v Speaker 1>a ten dollars super chat, what's going on? Alex? Alex
<v Speaker 1>says she may not be the greatest female in ring wrestler,
<v Speaker 1>but aj Lee's charisma and personality is generational. Fantastic opener
<v Speaker 1>and closing segments, and thank you for another excellent review.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you Alex. I appreciate that Jack Glancy with a
<v Speaker 1>learning tree. Let's all thank Jungle Jack Off, Tony Clown,
<v Speaker 1>and the Young Cus for making this possible. AJ is
<v Speaker 1>still and always will be fine. Cmpunk is a lucky soob.
<v Speaker 1>He married well, he married well, Bobby means. On September twentieth,
<v Speaker 1>it's aw's all out versus WWE's wrestle Palooza. After the
<v Speaker 1>results of tonight, I'm afraid all at is officially on
<v Speaker 1>life support. Well, they're no longer heads ahead directly. Actually
<v Speaker 1>they will be, but only only briefly. Now. I have
<v Speaker 1>a lot more to say about that on the sound
<v Speaker 1>off this weekend Death's Side. If we get Punk and
<v Speaker 1>Cody at WrestleMania one of these years, do you think
<v Speaker 1>that it could potentially be this generation's Rock Austin at
<v Speaker 1>WrestleMania X seven. I don't. I don't like making those comparisons.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, like, what does that? What does that even mean? Right,
<v Speaker 1>Austin Rock at WrestleMania seventeen was an excellent match. Does
<v Speaker 1>that Are you saying that Cody and Punk will have
<v Speaker 1>an excellent WrestleMania made event? Probably? Yeah, I would hope.
<v Speaker 1>So comparing it to Rock and Austin, though. Is it
<v Speaker 1>going to be remembered twenty years from now as the
<v Speaker 1>greatest or one of the greatest WrestleMania main events of
<v Speaker 1>all time? Probably not. Is it going to be a
<v Speaker 1>generational match? Probably not. But like I hate even making
<v Speaker 1>those comparisons, Holliday says, I believe that if they do
<v Speaker 1>Seth and Punk at WrestleMania, it has to be inside
<v Speaker 1>Helen a Cell to close their feud. I mean I
<v Speaker 1>could see it. I don't know. I mean, we did
<v Speaker 1>that with Punk and Drew. Do it again with punkin Seth.
<v Speaker 1>I mean you could. It would have to have some
<v Speaker 1>kind of stipulation. I agree. I don't know that it
<v Speaker 1>has to be Helen a Cell, but Helen a Cell
<v Speaker 1>is a stipulation that should be used to blow off
<v Speaker 1>a big blood feud. So I mean it fits the criteria.
<v Speaker 1>Dev to dust. Why are the Jets and Giants called
<v Speaker 1>the New York Jets and New York Giants when their
<v Speaker 1>stadium is in New Jersey because we don't have one
<v Speaker 1>in New York. I don't know what to tell you, brother,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't name the teams. Bass Bears says, Light it
<v Speaker 1>Up Broley seven, have the same person, have the same
<v Speaker 1>person writing for the women on Raw to write for
<v Speaker 1>the for the SmackDown. They lucky Tiffany is over, otherwise
<v Speaker 1>she would be in the same place as Julia. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the women scene right now on SmackDown is it's quite
<v Speaker 1>It's quite desperate. It is quite desperate death side. Why
<v Speaker 1>can't wrestlers just do what Randy Orton once did when
<v Speaker 1>def Rebel tried to change his music and tell them
<v Speaker 1>to fuck off. You're not changing my muse because that's
<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton. Most wrestlers are not Randy Orton, so they're
<v Speaker 1>not going to be able to Uh. I mean, look, dude,
<v Speaker 1>even Seamus can't get his old music back. He finally
<v Speaker 1>gave up. They gave it back to him for like
<v Speaker 1>two weeks, and then they took it away from him.
<v Speaker 1>If Seamus can't get his music back, what makes you
<v Speaker 1>think that some of these people on the roster are
<v Speaker 1>going to be able to get their music back. There's
<v Speaker 1>no way. They have no chance. Curtis Curtis tally with
<v Speaker 1>in nineteen ninety nine, Michael Cole missing the Angle Slam
<v Speaker 1>and Edge of Spear and seen his match was a
<v Speaker 1>little frustrating. Yeah, it was. It was like, dude, are
<v Speaker 1>you watching the same thing that I'm watching? Like the
<v Speaker 1>angle slam, which is funny because he just calls it
<v Speaker 1>like a back suplex, like it's just another move. And
<v Speaker 1>Sina took about five business days to actually get him
<v Speaker 1>up and over for the move too, so he had
<v Speaker 1>plenty of time to realize what it was that he
<v Speaker 1>was watching there. Top Thumper, I haven't watched a full
<v Speaker 1>wrestling program in years for aj Lee. I watched a
<v Speaker 1>full wrestling program tonight, he asked. But top Thumper, what
<v Speaker 1>did you think of the show overall? He said, you
<v Speaker 1>haven't watched a full show in years? Now you did,
<v Speaker 1>you didn't give me your review of the show. Uh.
<v Speaker 1>Fire Panda always good to hear from firepan I appreciate
<v Speaker 1>that top bomb tonight from fire Panda. Somewhere a twelve
<v Speaker 1>year old panda a very very happy or is very
<v Speaker 1>very happy to see aj Lee back in WWE. Oh
<v Speaker 1>based on what we heard there in Chicago tonight, I
<v Speaker 1>would wager that there are a lot of people who
<v Speaker 1>are very happy to see aj Lee back in WWA.
<v Speaker 1>Death Side. I also hope we get seen a fatu
<v Speaker 1>and if anyone says we can't because Fatu is on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown and seen It is on Raw to that, I say,
<v Speaker 1>what brand split? Yeah? I mean that's that's why you
<v Speaker 1>know people mentioned the draft. I'm like, why they're gonna
<v Speaker 1>do what they want anyway? The hell do you need
<v Speaker 1>a draft? Foresh you wanna you wanna shake the rosters up,
<v Speaker 1>shake them up. You don't need a draft to do that.
<v Speaker 1>People are gonna go from one show to the other regardless,
<v Speaker 1>So it doesn't matter, Holiday says. If Rheo wins the
<v Speaker 1>world title at Crown Jewel, Eo Sky should be traded
<v Speaker 1>to SmackDown, Naya can be traded to Raw or Jade.
<v Speaker 1>If she doesn't win the title, They're gonna have to
<v Speaker 1>make some kind of move here because SmackDown needs help
<v Speaker 1>more than Raw does right now, and then we'll see. Also,
<v Speaker 1>once Bianca comes back, where does Bianca bell Air fit
<v Speaker 1>into things? Mark Martinez. I think it'll be Brock then
<v Speaker 1>AJ on Raw Dom at Survivor Series since it'll be
<v Speaker 1>in San Diego and gunther as seen as last matches.
<v Speaker 1>Been listening since twenty twelve. Thank you, Mark, thirteen years
<v Speaker 1>A long time, you know, what. I could see that.
<v Speaker 1>I could see aj as a raw match, and even
<v Speaker 1>something with Dom I could see that too, So I
<v Speaker 1>think you may be onto something there. Doni Yasu says,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just an aj Lee mark. I don't give a fuck.
<v Speaker 1>You don't got to apologize to me for that. We
<v Speaker 1>got a lot of aj Lee marks in the chat tonight,
<v Speaker 1>We got a lot of aj Lee marks all over
<v Speaker 1>social media tonight, windsor Guy twenty two. Aj Lee looked
<v Speaker 1>Jack tonight so glad to see her back. She deserves it.
<v Speaker 1>I hope she enjoyed that moment and was able to
<v Speaker 1>take a minute to soak it all in. It looked
<v Speaker 1>like she was looked like Punk was happier than she was.
<v Speaker 1>He looked like a proud man out there. Nick Grosso says,
<v Speaker 1>if Ria Ripley doesn't face Osca wrestled Palusa, would be
<v Speaker 1>a good idea to make her either guest enforcer or
<v Speaker 1>guest referee the eo Sky Stephanie Va Kier match, just
<v Speaker 1>to make sure nobody interferes. No, because that would be
<v Speaker 1>very unfair to Stephanie Va Kaire, That would be unfair
<v Speaker 1>to the care Ria Ripley and Eosky have a friendship
<v Speaker 1>that has played itself out on television. Now, if I
<v Speaker 1>were Stephanie va Kaier and you said to me, you're
<v Speaker 1>gonna make my opponent's friend the referee for the match,
<v Speaker 1>I would say, fuck you, No, you won't because that's
<v Speaker 1>very unfair. Wouldn't really make a lot of sense. It
<v Speaker 1>would be a way to get her on the show,
<v Speaker 1>but it wouldn't make any sense. Uh. Duff's VIDs. How
<v Speaker 1>many people died on the Titanic A boatload? Christian says, Hi,
<v Speaker 1>Hello TLA, Mark Bannon, who's your favorite wrestler who had
<v Speaker 1>a second run? I mean Sean Michaels is probably at
<v Speaker 1>the top of the list. Look at the second run
<v Speaker 1>that he had. Find me a better second run than
<v Speaker 1>him and the matches that he had during that run. Mark,
<v Speaker 1>thank you. Though Duff's VIDs with the four ninety nine,
<v Speaker 1>why was the whale said? It couldn't find it? Pipois
<v Speaker 1>in life you suck couldn't find its? Pipis DJ blind?
<v Speaker 1>Was this the best SmackDown ending ever? Uh? No, no
<v Speaker 1>it is not. It's funny enough. He goes, it's up
<v Speaker 1>there with the ending in two thousand and one when
<v Speaker 1>everyone gave their finishers. Heady gets a sort of dude,
<v Speaker 1>you just answered your own question. That is still that
<v Speaker 1>is still the greatest ending. I'm happy for Aj though,
<v Speaker 1>but no, it is not the best ending ever. Dev
<v Speaker 1>to destays, remember when every New Yorker used to sound
<v Speaker 1>like Robert de Niro and Harvey kaitel See. I'm proof
<v Speaker 1>positive that every New Yorker does not sound like that.
<v Speaker 1>Not every New Yorker does not sound like Vince Russo
<v Speaker 1>bro I'm proof of that. Dried Chicken says this is
<v Speaker 1>a low bar here, but this he says he would
<v Speaker 1>take his chances of watching Ashby Elegance and Aj Francis
<v Speaker 1>on TNA over SmackDown's creative good luck with that. The
<v Speaker 1>bar may be low, but let's not Let's not take
<v Speaker 1>it down to the basement quite yet. Duffs Vid says,
<v Speaker 1>my dentist pulled out the wrong tooth. He said it
<v Speaker 1>was accidental. It's just awful. It's just awful. Holliday says,
<v Speaker 1>Predicting Charlotte or Elect accidental. Predicting Charlotte or Alexa wins
<v Speaker 1>the women's US title. Next in Charlotte Slash Elect, a
<v Speaker 1>feud for the title into WrestleMania. At least it is
<v Speaker 1>wishful thinking. At least it would bring some level of
<v Speaker 1>prestige to the United States Championship. I don't hate it
<v Speaker 1>retro koh, sorry to say, but I fully expect AJ
<v Speaker 1>gets deaf rebeled by Russell Palooza, if not on the
<v Speaker 1>night of Sorry, I don't make the rules f deaf Rebel.
<v Speaker 1>So what's the opening kind of salvo going to be
<v Speaker 1>for AJ's new theme? Light it up? And then some
<v Speaker 1>awful electronic instrumental generic garbage boomerang? When I heard aj
<v Speaker 1>Lee's music hit, I heard Bobby Heenan in my head,
<v Speaker 1>go you're in deep do doo tonight? Pal, Yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>thought you were going to say you heard Bobby Heenen
<v Speaker 1>in your head? Go yeah, But whose side is she on?
<v Speaker 1>Whose side is she on? Uh? Duffs A man that
<v Speaker 1>was a slam dunk there was right there, man. You
<v Speaker 1>should have taken the anyway Duff's VIDs with a nine
<v Speaker 1>ninety nine man. Duff Duffs is flexing some muscle here tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I went to the beekeeper to get twelve bees. I
<v Speaker 1>counted and he gave me thirteen. I said, sir, you
<v Speaker 1>gave me an extra bee, he said, that's a that's
<v Speaker 1>a freebie, son of a bitch. Thank you, Duffs. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we gotta figure out what the what the beginning of
<v Speaker 1>this new aj Lee music is gonna sound like? Maybe
<v Speaker 1>somebody like all the way in the back of the
<v Speaker 1>room or something. Light it up. Let's light it up.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, We'll have to come up with something. Irenzo.
<v Speaker 1>What if the match with Lesner Sena is able to
<v Speaker 1>squash him as kind of a get back for Summerslim
<v Speaker 1>John Cena in twenty twenty five is not squashing anybody, dude,
<v Speaker 1>I think that would be a huge disappointment. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>some people would love to see Brocket squashed, but as
<v Speaker 1>a pay per view main event, forty eight year old
<v Speaker 1>John Cena is not squashing anything except the bug beneath
<v Speaker 1>his boot. That's about it. Mactub. Do you think Orton
<v Speaker 1>should have won it WrestleMania twenty five? I do, because
<v Speaker 1>there was really no need for Triple H to win there,
<v Speaker 1>and with Orton going over as the heel, you don't
<v Speaker 1>close the show with that. Instead, you do the smart
<v Speaker 1>thing and you close the show with the real main event,
<v Speaker 1>which was sewn Michaels against the Undertaker. So that way,
<v Speaker 1>if you're not ending with the WWE Championship match, because
<v Speaker 1>Vince was not every year, but like most of the time,
<v Speaker 1>he was very big, especially of WrestleMania, with giving people
<v Speaker 1>the happy ending in addition to whoever else he was
<v Speaker 1>giving the happy ending to behind the scenes. So in
<v Speaker 1>that case, if Orton was going to go over as
<v Speaker 1>the heel Comayne and then you close with Sean and Undertaker.
<v Speaker 1>But Randy Orton during that period in two thousand and nine,
<v Speaker 1>he was just a fucking menace. That was probably the
<v Speaker 1>best incarnation of Randy Orton. I wouldn't have beaten him.
<v Speaker 1>I would have let him kept going. We've got a
<v Speaker 1>white face with a nine to ninety nine AJ getting
<v Speaker 1>the backstage vid of her signing her new wweek contract
<v Speaker 1>with Triple H gleefully smiling the whole time. Suffice to say,
<v Speaker 1>she is back back. So many daughters of her on
<v Speaker 1>the current roster. So is that a video that they
<v Speaker 1>I have not seen that video yet. So is that
<v Speaker 1>a video that was posted? So she has signed a contract?
<v Speaker 1>Or so say if that's super chat, Yeah, no, there
<v Speaker 1>it is. That's there is indeed video of aj Lee
<v Speaker 1>signing a contract. So she's back. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>that means full time like every single week, but she's back.
<v Speaker 1>Good for her. The real cso too. I agree WWE
<v Speaker 1>needs to do more with her. But people's complaint that
<v Speaker 1>Juliet doesn't get TV time, but when she does, people
<v Speaker 1>still complain. It isn't setting the world on fire. But
<v Speaker 1>it's still TV time, dude, it's shit. Come on, dude,
<v Speaker 1>don't make any excuse. Please, don't make excuses for them.
<v Speaker 1>Don't make it well, it's still TV time. Sure, dude.
<v Speaker 1>I could take a shit and I could put it
<v Speaker 1>on a piece of paper and you can put it
<v Speaker 1>on the floor and the camera can zoom in on it,
<v Speaker 1>and you can give that four segments on the show. Right,
<v Speaker 1>it's still shit. It's getting TV time, but it's still shit.
<v Speaker 1>Don't make excuses for them. Powerful one moments like that
<v Speaker 1>are what pro wrestling is all about. It makes it
<v Speaker 1>the coolest thing in the world. Welcome back a j Lee.
<v Speaker 1>It was a very cool moment. They're very big on moments,
<v Speaker 1>and I do agree that it's really the moments are
<v Speaker 1>what people remember. Whether it's a moment during a match,
<v Speaker 1>or it's just outside the ring, if it's in a
<v Speaker 1>promo segment, if it's a return, if it's a debut.
<v Speaker 1>The Juliet three to sixteen just saw your tweet on
<v Speaker 1>the ban on noncompete clauses not happening. I can't say
<v Speaker 1>I'm surprised. Yeah, I'm not surprised either. Dried chicken without flavor.
<v Speaker 1>But Juliette, thank you. Brother. Juliet's also with us every
<v Speaker 1>single week dried chicken with a five. Sometimes I just
<v Speaker 1>want to pull a nighto when it comes to the
<v Speaker 1>WWE title belts. Just throw the belts in the air,
<v Speaker 1>or drag them right, just throw them in the air.
<v Speaker 1>Just drag him on the floor behind you, dirty him
<v Speaker 1>up a little bit. Sorry, Roderick. Enjoy your dinner, though,
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure it's delicious. Hopefully he's not having, you know,
<v Speaker 1>meat loaf or anything. Mark says, Do I see AJ
<v Speaker 1>winning another title? If so, which one? I could see
<v Speaker 1>AJ winning the Intercontinental title at some point. I just again,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I'm just hearing about this content track
<v Speaker 1>that she's signed, so I will I will have to
<v Speaker 1>find out what the nature of it is. Is it
<v Speaker 1>a part time deal. Is it a Legends deal? I
<v Speaker 1>don't know that will dictate whether or not I think
<v Speaker 1>she will win a championship. Again, I don't know the
<v Speaker 1>answer to that yet. The Boss Moo Jackson with a
<v Speaker 1>pair of super chats. Hello, they're brothers. Solo. Hope all
<v Speaker 1>as well. I hope all is well with you as well,
<v Speaker 1>bossmo Jackson. Not an AJ fan. She's more character than wrestling.
<v Speaker 1>She is, but we need that on the show as well.
<v Speaker 1>Can't just be a it's all great wrestlers and no
<v Speaker 1>substance beyond that. You know, with some people that's the case.
<v Speaker 1>They're great wrestlers, but there just isn't much else there,
<v Speaker 1>you know, or maybe they just haven't had the chance
<v Speaker 1>to show off their personality. These television shows. They need
<v Speaker 1>interesting personalities. I would much rather have an interesting personality
<v Speaker 1>on these shows than someone who's a fantastic wrestler and
<v Speaker 1>bores me to fucking tears. And maybe it's just how
<v Speaker 1>bad some of these weekly shows have gotten that my
<v Speaker 1>patience is just worn thin, that there's just so many
<v Speaker 1>weeks go by and these shows, I mean, you can
<v Speaker 1>get great matches, We get great matches every week, but
<v Speaker 1>like give me something that grabs me. Give me characters
<v Speaker 1>that are fun or just interesting in some way, and
<v Speaker 1>we don't get enough of that. We get some of that,
<v Speaker 1>sometimes we don't get enough of that. But I would
<v Speaker 1>rather have characters like that that have charisma that can
<v Speaker 1>be you know, engaging in some way. And if she
<v Speaker 1>or he is not the best wrestler in the world,
<v Speaker 1>if they're just okay and serviceable, that's fine, because you
<v Speaker 1>know what, there's tons of great wrestlers out there. There's
<v Speaker 1>plenty of great wrestlers out there, but what we see
<v Speaker 1>on these shows each week has to be interesting enough
<v Speaker 1>to get you to want to tune in the following
<v Speaker 1>week to see those people and to see the stories
<v Speaker 1>that they're involved in. And if they're boring as shit,
<v Speaker 1>then that doesn't really do anybody any good. Powerful one though,
<v Speaker 1>thank you again dropping a ten dollars super chat. How
<v Speaker 1>many women on the roster do you think grew up
<v Speaker 1>watching and idolizing this woman? Aj Lee is to them
<v Speaker 1>what Trish Lieda and China were for many of us.
<v Speaker 1>She's going to have a nostalgia run for the records. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean there were people who came up during that
<v Speaker 1>total Divas period, even though AJ was not a Total Diva.
<v Speaker 1>She actually cut a pipe bomb on the Total Divas.
<v Speaker 1>But it became fans during that period, and they probably
<v Speaker 1>became fans of hers, and so to them especially, her
<v Speaker 1>coming back brings them back to that time and it's
<v Speaker 1>exciting for them. You know. I'm happy to see her
<v Speaker 1>back because I always found her to be a fun
<v Speaker 1>character on the show. You know, she added to the show.
<v Speaker 1>You know, she can talk. I found her to be
<v Speaker 1>one of the more interesting female personalities on the show,
<v Speaker 1>and she was different than a lot of the other
<v Speaker 1>divas that were on the show. I'm glad to have
<v Speaker 1>her back. She doesn't have to be the best wrestler
<v Speaker 1>in the world. You know, she was fine, but she's
<v Speaker 1>a personality that I think will help I would hope
<v Speaker 1>help enhance the shows with what they do with her.
<v Speaker 1>DJ Blind you forgot the White Sox man six in
<v Speaker 1>a row, six in a row that they've lost, or
<v Speaker 1>six in a row that they've won. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>assume that they've lost Alexander. Where in the world is Iliya,
<v Speaker 1>Dragon of Diego. I don't know, man, I could just
<v Speaker 1>picture maybe that's his new gimmick when he gets back.
<v Speaker 1>He's like the male version of Carmen san Diego. Where
<v Speaker 1>in the world is Ilia? Oh word fourteen out of fifteen.
<v Speaker 1>By the way, I just noticed on that bonus be
<v Speaker 1>the booker goal. We got one more, one more there,
<v Speaker 1>and we're going into bonus rounds the Bossmo Jackson. I
<v Speaker 1>never got into the aj character. She's okay, Well, maybe
<v Speaker 1>she'll get you into the character this time. It's been
<v Speaker 1>ten years. Maybe she's got some new material to work with.
<v Speaker 1>Arabian Night two. Well, she got a whole new roster
<v Speaker 1>of women to work with, that's for sure. Arabian nine,
<v Speaker 1>two thousand. The misuse of Julia should be studied. Crowds
<v Speaker 1>don't care. Triple Ah dropped the ball on one of
<v Speaker 1>the most talented female wrestlers in the last five years.
<v Speaker 1>Shaking my head. The woman is money. They just haven't
<v Speaker 1>been able to tap into that yet or feature her
<v Speaker 1>in a way where she can be looked at on
<v Speaker 1>that SmackDown brand. Truly is one of the top stars
<v Speaker 1>on that brand, and she should be at a time
<v Speaker 1>when SmackDown you compare the SmackDown women's situation roster. Whatever
<v Speaker 1>you want to say, to what we have on RAW.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, Raw clearly has the edge right now, but
<v Speaker 1>given the state of SmackDown, Julia should be like top
<v Speaker 1>three right now, like top three, top five. She's not
<v Speaker 1>even She's not even there. I don't care. I don't
<v Speaker 1>care what title you put on her. She's not even
<v Speaker 1>there yet. I know she can get there, but the
<v Speaker 1>fact that she's not and she's been up now for
<v Speaker 1>several months is frustrating. Also, he says, we're getting ads
<v Speaker 1>galore on Wressel Palooza like Saturday night's main event. I God,
<v Speaker 1>I hope not. But you know what, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>It's ESPN now, the ESPN app. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>it's like on there. I wonder how many people are
<v Speaker 1>going to be severely confused when they put the actual
<v Speaker 1>ESPN channel on, expecting to see Wrestle Palooza and then
<v Speaker 1>they realized, because my understanding is it's not actually airing
<v Speaker 1>on ESPN. They keep saying ESPN because that's the name
<v Speaker 1>of the of the you know, direct to consumer service.
<v Speaker 1>I think you're gonna have some very confused people. Uh.
<v Speaker 1>The Boss Bo Jackson, lesnar f FIV or anyone at
<v Speaker 1>his age is still fun to watch. He gets some
<v Speaker 1>height on it. Man, they go flying through the air
<v Speaker 1>death side. Who do you think had the scariest Titan
<v Speaker 1>Tron video? For me, it was Chris Benoit and it's
<v Speaker 1>even more unsettling now given the circumstances. Oh, is that
<v Speaker 1>the one where he would just like he would scream.
<v Speaker 1>It was just like his head and he was like
<v Speaker 1>screaming and shaking. Yeah, that's that's that's pretty weird. I
<v Speaker 1>had the scariest probably Steve Blackman. Man. If I saw that.
<v Speaker 1>It's just various clips of Steve Blackman with the They
<v Speaker 1>weren't nunchucks. They were I don't know what you would
<v Speaker 1>call them. It's like sowt off kendo sticks. If I
<v Speaker 1>saw that and I knew he was coming out, I'd
<v Speaker 1>be pretty scared. Tuxedo t Servo WWE has a video
<v Speaker 1>of AJ and Punk after the show. AJ danced around
<v Speaker 1>with the IC title, kissed it, and then left with it.
<v Speaker 1>Punk was having a great time. See, so there you go.
<v Speaker 1>I mean I could absolutely see her winning the Intercontinental
<v Speaker 1>Championship at some point. Will Mantick, I've been listening to
<v Speaker 1>you since June of twenty twelve, says I used to
<v Speaker 1>donate in the website you used to give names called
<v Speaker 1>me Luis, Hercules Hernandez. Do you still have that web site?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what website you're talking about, but Luis,
<v Speaker 1>I remember you, brother, I remember Hercules Hernandez. We haven't
<v Speaker 1>heard you in the PayPal roll call for a while.
<v Speaker 1>I thought you disappeared on me, But of course I
<v Speaker 1>remember you. I hope you doing well. It's good to
<v Speaker 1>hear from you. Jeremy Dyer thoughts on Matt Riddle's comments
<v Speaker 1>on aj Lee. I thought that, first of all, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know why anybody was even asking him about aj Lee.
<v Speaker 1>Whatever show that was there was TMZ that he was on,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought it was disgusting and completely uncalled for.
<v Speaker 1>Robert Lee says double be the booker. Ah, yes, I
<v Speaker 1>just noticed we did. We unlocked the goal, We unlocked
<v Speaker 1>the bonus rounds awesome powerful one very few women in
<v Speaker 1>on the roster or all time, really who could cut
<v Speaker 1>a promo and talk people into the building like aj could.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure she still can. She had a way on
<v Speaker 1>the microphone that not everybody did, and that I think
<v Speaker 1>that is what I am looking forward to. Also getting
<v Speaker 1>that first kind of in ring promo segment with her
<v Speaker 1>and Becky, because we've seen what Becky can do as
<v Speaker 1>a heel. I mean it's one thing like tonight she
<v Speaker 1>was insulting the sports teams. That's low hanging fruit. But
<v Speaker 1>I think Becky for the most part has been really
<v Speaker 1>good when it comes to you know, like her promo
<v Speaker 1>work during this heel run. Put her in the ring
<v Speaker 1>with AJ on Monday and let them go back and forth.
<v Speaker 1>That's what I'm looking forward to see how that goes.
<v Speaker 1>Paul Carpenter, remember the Slickster married AJ and Daniel Bryan.
<v Speaker 1>My god, I forgot about that? Was it slick? I
<v Speaker 1>think it was. I forgot about that Navy forty one
<v Speaker 1>eighty one with the nine ninety nine that used to
<v Speaker 1>be the cost of the WWE network. Boys, it's a
<v Speaker 1>lot different now. Remember when the network was just nine
<v Speaker 1>to ninety nine a month. You got all the pay
<v Speaker 1>per views, you had the library or part of the library.
<v Speaker 1>They had actual original programming on there. The Edge and
<v Speaker 1>Christian Show, what was the full name? The Edge and
<v Speaker 1>Christian Show that Reeks of Awesomeness. They had that cartoon
<v Speaker 1>Camp WWE. They had story Time, he says in two
<v Speaker 1>thousand and two, if Hogan ended up his champion with
<v Speaker 1>the nWo, do you think he would have spray painted
<v Speaker 1>the Big Eagle belt. I've seen some impressive AI images
<v Speaker 1>of that done to the winged Eagle already. Do not
<v Speaker 1>do not deface the winged Eagle sacrilege. I don't. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think they would have spray painted the belt. Oh
<v Speaker 1>right along, yeah, right along was another one table for three.
<v Speaker 1>I'm telling you, man, we didn't know what we had
<v Speaker 1>with that network. They actually had really good original programming
<v Speaker 1>to go with the archival content and then the pay
<v Speaker 1>per views for ten dollars a month, like you can't
<v Speaker 1>beat that. You can't beat that. Angel mah kanos with
<v Speaker 1>the four ninety nine, no message, just showing some love. Angel,
<v Speaker 1>Thank you man. Your super chats are very much appreciated.
<v Speaker 1>They are the lifeblood of this channel. I very much
<v Speaker 1>do appreciate it. The Bossmo Jackson says, EO, who's the
<v Speaker 1>greatest tag team ever? EO, I'm not sure what she
<v Speaker 1>has to do with it. Greatest tag teams though, and
<v Speaker 1>the two that will always be first and foremost on
<v Speaker 1>my mind when I get that question, Demolition and the
<v Speaker 1>Heart Foundation. For other people, it might be the Road Warriors,
<v Speaker 1>it might be the Steiner Brothers. It might be the
<v Speaker 1>Dudley Boys, it might be the Hardy Boys, it might
<v Speaker 1>be the USOS. If you're a newer fan Demolition or
<v Speaker 1>the Heart Foundation, you can't go wrong that guy Jaeger
<v Speaker 1>brother solo. Did you take one more step with Bully?
<v Speaker 1>I can't spoil it. You gotta find out yourself. He
<v Speaker 1>was getting pretty hot at me though, but I said.
<v Speaker 1>The full thing is on the YouTube channel House of
<v Speaker 1>Glory Wrestling. It just went up earlier today. You can
<v Speaker 1>go check it out. Ryan Armstrong, AJ Lee's finisher, the
<v Speaker 1>Black Widow. Oh that's right, yes, thank you, the Octopus
<v Speaker 1>that was her finish, powerful one. Becky and AJ on
<v Speaker 1>the mic, I'm picturing Roman Sena in twenty seventeen. No,
<v Speaker 1>Becky could hold her own. I think AJ would too.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think so. Roman was just woefully unprepared and
<v Speaker 1>he was completely just destroy He was verbally eviscerated and
<v Speaker 1>just embarrassed by John Cena on the mic that night.
<v Speaker 1>I don't see that happening with Becky and AJ at all.
<v Speaker 1>And Devin from NJ two thousand how would Solo have
<v Speaker 1>ended the Elimination Chamber from this year? Would it be
<v Speaker 1>Sina winning the chamber or still doing some kind of
<v Speaker 1>angle at the end? I think it would have been
<v Speaker 1>Seena winning the chamber. And then if you were if
<v Speaker 1>you were going to turn him heel and had a
<v Speaker 1>good plan for it, do the heel turn to WRESTLEMANI
<v Speaker 1>it wouldn't have been ideal to build up to a
<v Speaker 1>match like Sena and Cody's babyfaces because there's so much
<v Speaker 1>alike and they're kind of vanilla, So I didn't really
<v Speaker 1>like that idea. But like you look at it back
<v Speaker 1>in hindsight, if they would have saved the turn for Mania,
<v Speaker 1>it would have been a lot more impactful. But then
<v Speaker 1>comes the follow up to that, and the follow up
<v Speaker 1>wasn't great, So I wouldn't have done it at all.
<v Speaker 1>But if you were going to progress in the direction
<v Speaker 1>they ultimately went in, just end the Elimination Chamber, would
<v Speaker 1>see it in Punk as the last two in there.
<v Speaker 1>They go at it for a little bit and Sina
<v Speaker 1>wins the chamber and you get that feel good moment
<v Speaker 1>at the end of the show. They went for the
<v Speaker 1>shock factor and that was great as a moment, it
<v Speaker 1>was fantastic. We will look back on that moment, though,
<v Speaker 1>and people will not look back at it in the
<v Speaker 1>way that I think when it happened, people thought they
<v Speaker 1>would look back at it because you do think about
<v Speaker 1>what came next, and what came next sucked could have
<v Speaker 1>been people think, oh, this is a generational that's like,
<v Speaker 1>that could have been a generational moment in WWE history.
<v Speaker 1>It's a great moment, but in retrospect, that's all it was.
<v Speaker 1>That's all it was. It ended up meaning nothing. Holiday
<v Speaker 1>one ninety seven. Tiffany has been champion for eight months
<v Speaker 1>and her run has been blase, although she hasn't feuded
<v Speaker 1>with many top stars. I think it's time for her
<v Speaker 1>to drop the title and let Jade have a run.
<v Speaker 1>Leading to Bianca, Well, I mean the question is, do
<v Speaker 1>do you turn Jade heel? You know, like, does that
<v Speaker 1>happen in the course of the match that way she's
<v Speaker 1>a heel. Bianca comes back as a baby face to challenge,
<v Speaker 1>you know, heal Jade, or if Jade is doing stuff
<v Speaker 1>that Bianca doesn't necessarily improve of confront her about it.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I still feel like Tiffany or Jade.
<v Speaker 1>Probably Jade should go heal or will go heal. At
<v Speaker 1>the end of all this, I don't know, Sees says.
<v Speaker 1>Do you believe that EO Sky is the best wrestler?
<v Speaker 1>I do in WWE? I do? I mean the top two,
<v Speaker 1>the top two Gunther and Eosky, those are your two
<v Speaker 1>best wrestlers in WWI the Bossmo Jackson, EO means in
<v Speaker 1>your opinion, Okay, dude, I had no idea. I see EO,
<v Speaker 1>I immediately think of EO Sky. That's hilarious. Actually, that
<v Speaker 1>is hilarious. I'm like, EO the fuck? Cal? Hey, Cal,
<v Speaker 1>what's going on? Twelve months of membership. I thought she
<v Speaker 1>would have hit Becky with the Black Widow. She looks amazing.
<v Speaker 1>Phil Brooks is a lucky man. I really like New
<v Speaker 1>Day's New theme. You like New Day's New theme? Huh.
<v Speaker 1>Let me see if I can give you a little
<v Speaker 1>New Day's New theme here. It's your boys, the New
<v Speaker 1>Dume do it quite as well as their theme. But eh,
<v Speaker 1>it's all right, not great, but it's okay. I've heard
<v Speaker 1>worse from deaf Rebel Grant Hudson. With nineteen months of
<v Speaker 1>channel membership, I saw Hogan's cartoon is going to be
<v Speaker 1>added to the vault. I remember my dad burned them
<v Speaker 1>on CD for me when I was little. Yes, Hulk
<v Speaker 1>Hogan's rock and wrestling cartoon from the nineteen eighties, if
<v Speaker 1>you have not heard, is returning to the WWE Vault
<v Speaker 1>channel on YouTube, and they're going to release them in bunches.
<v Speaker 1>I think batches of four every Saturday morning, starting this morning,
<v Speaker 1>because it's now officially Saturday morning. And I love that.
<v Speaker 1>I love that they were releasing them on Saturday morning.
<v Speaker 1>That's when I used to watch them when they would
<v Speaker 1>come on TV. They did have them on Peacock for
<v Speaker 1>a while or the network. It was one or the other,
<v Speaker 1>and then something happened with Hogan. Trying to think if
<v Speaker 1>it was maybe maybe it was the early days of
<v Speaker 1>the network and when the Hogan sex tape and the
<v Speaker 1>racist stuff leaked, maybe it was around then, but they
<v Speaker 1>pulled it. So they had briefly put the episodes up
<v Speaker 1>and then they pulled it. So now they're going to
<v Speaker 1>start adding them to the vult channel on YouTube. So
<v Speaker 1>Ray Phoenix is Ray Phoenix has a dope song, says
<v Speaker 1>j L. Yeah, Ray Phoenix, who was on main event tonight.
<v Speaker 1>That's where Ray Phoenix was Ryan Awesome. In two thousand
<v Speaker 1>and nine, TNA's roster was stacked. What if Edge would
<v Speaker 1>have jumped ship to the Impact Zone and how would
<v Speaker 1>he have fared. I think Edge would have fared fine.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he would have had the same kind of
<v Speaker 1>run that some of the other ex WWE guys had.
<v Speaker 1>He would have won some championships, would have made a
<v Speaker 1>huge difference in terms of where TNA was. No, it
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't have made any difference. Dude. They had Hogan come in.
<v Speaker 1>They had Hogan and Sting and Foley and Nash and
<v Speaker 1>Flair and all these big names, and you know Edge
<v Speaker 1>would have come in. He would have been another big WWE,
<v Speaker 1>you know x WWE guy, and he would have had
<v Speaker 1>some probably really good matches. But I don't think it
<v Speaker 1>would have been He wouldn't have been like a needle
<v Speaker 1>mover for them any more so than any of the
<v Speaker 1>other names that I mentioned were. Kevin says commercials from
<v Speaker 1>Hell do you think they will bring back page on
<v Speaker 1>her Chris Van Vliet interview, she said she would love
<v Speaker 1>to run with that character again, never saying ever, but
<v Speaker 1>I feel like if they were interested in her that
<v Speaker 1>they would have already brought her back by now. I
<v Speaker 1>don't since there's a great interest there, do I think
<v Speaker 1>that she will be back at some point, even if
<v Speaker 1>just for some cameo appearances. Probably, yeah, But I don't
<v Speaker 1>sense that they're itching to bring her back. Death Side
<v Speaker 1>could Dark Side of the Ring Season seven feature Rick Rude,
<v Speaker 1>buck Zumov, Ashley Massarohanna Komora, Ring Boy Scandal, Sean O'Hare,
<v Speaker 1>ninety seven, Little Rock, West Virginia, Memphis or West Memphis Riots. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the d X Riots. I've talked about all this stuff
<v Speaker 1>on the show. By the way, those are all potential candidates,
<v Speaker 1>and I think I've had many of those on my
<v Speaker 1>own list. Buck Zumov is just an absolutely disgusting story
<v Speaker 1>that is absolute the epitome of Dark Side of the Ring.
<v Speaker 1>Hana Kamora the only thing about Hana Kimura. It might
<v Speaker 1>still be a little too fresh for people, but I
<v Speaker 1>think Daphne passed away four years ago and they just
<v Speaker 1>did a story on her so they could do something.
<v Speaker 1>When did Hana Kimura die? Was was that four years ago?
<v Speaker 1>It's three or four years ago. Now it might still
<v Speaker 1>be a little fresh. The Ring Boy Scandal. I don't
<v Speaker 1>see the purpose in doing one on the Ring Boy scandal.
<v Speaker 1>At this point, most of the people that are you
<v Speaker 1>know or you would want to have interviewed for it
<v Speaker 1>are dead. The others who might still be alive, they
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't talk to you anyway. And I just feel like
<v Speaker 1>it's been rehashed so many times at this point. If
<v Speaker 1>they haven't already done it, I just I don't see
<v Speaker 1>the point. But Rick Rude and Ashley Massaro, Yes, absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>Sean O'Hair, I could see Sean O'Hair. Oh, she died
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twelve. Wow, Hanna Kamura has been gone for
<v Speaker 1>five years. That's crazy. I remember covering that at the
<v Speaker 1>time it happened. It was a very sad story. Dobs
<v Speaker 1>VID's what would Bears be without bees? Ears? You and
<v Speaker 1>the bees Sees? We go from bees to C's that's
<v Speaker 1>his name, s E A S. Do you believe that EO?
<v Speaker 1>Ski is the best wrestler in the world? And then
<v Speaker 1>in parenthesis he says Mercedes doesn't come close. I haven't
<v Speaker 1>seen all the wrestlers in the world. I know there
<v Speaker 1>are some great wrestlers that are over right now. Some
<v Speaker 1>Joshi wrestlers over in Japan. I know Mayui Watani exists
<v Speaker 1>in the world. Eoski is among the best wrestlers in
<v Speaker 1>the world. I can't say she's the best wrestler in
<v Speaker 1>the world. She is among the best wrestlers in the world.
<v Speaker 1>Johnny Burney A J Lee returned hens fans aw dad
<v Speaker 1>unserious people. Yeah, I'm not really sure what one has
<v Speaker 1>to do with the other. But people are going to
<v Speaker 1>do their their stick, so I just let them do
<v Speaker 1>their stick. It's all very dumb. Charles Turner solo. Do
<v Speaker 1>you remember the feud between Bobby Heenen and Guerrilla mond
<v Speaker 1>Soon on Primetime Wrestling which led to the Bobby Heenan
<v Speaker 1>Show with the point guetts I do. The Bobby Heenen
<v Speaker 1>Show only lasted four episodes, so it wasn't around for
<v Speaker 1>very long. I remember the episode of Primetime Wrestling where
<v Speaker 1>Guerrilla mon Soon took a bump took a bump from
<v Speaker 1>the Brooklyn Brawler and he got knocked to the ground.
<v Speaker 1>Big brawl broke out with the Brawler and Terry Taylor
<v Speaker 1>duffs Vin's what is an Asian's favorite sitcom? Everybody loves Ramen, right, right?
<v Speaker 1>What the fuck. What did I hit? Oh man, I
<v Speaker 1>hit the wrong button. Everybody loves Ramen. I was gonna
<v Speaker 1>give you the the dumb tiss, but I guess not.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you, Duffs. I inhaled some helium. There. We have
<v Speaker 1>hit the goal, by the way, for a bonus round,
<v Speaker 1>a bonus installment of be the Booker. Thank you guys.
<v Speaker 1>Let's do it, ladies and gentlemen. It is now time
<v Speaker 1>to be the Booker. Peace on Hannah would be great. Sadly,
<v Speaker 1>not getting Julia EO or a few others as talking
<v Speaker 1>heads would suck. Yeah again, I just don't know that
<v Speaker 1>that's a story they want to tell right now. At
<v Speaker 1>some point we get a season eight, season nine, then
<v Speaker 1>I can see it all right, Beat the Booker. Time
<v Speaker 1>we got some tag We're just talking about some tag teams.
<v Speaker 1>I mentioned the Heart Foundation and Demolition, but we're starting
<v Speaker 1>out with uh, definitely not the greatest tag team of
<v Speaker 1>all time. We are starting with Brizongo, Tyler Breese and Fandango,
<v Speaker 1>and they will be taking on, oh my god, Breezongo
<v Speaker 1>against the bushwhackers. We'd be whacking some bush here tonight.
<v Speaker 1>You can do whatever you want. I want no part
<v Speaker 1>of this. That's awful. That's fucking terrible. I couldn't hit
<v Speaker 1>that button fast enough. On the women's side, we have
<v Speaker 1>Alexa Bliss. Where's Bliss? Bliss fan is very excited? We
<v Speaker 1>have Alexibliss challenging who Alexa Bliss and Queen Zelina. Well,
<v Speaker 1>one thing about that match is size wise height wise,
<v Speaker 1>it's an even match, so at least it's not like
<v Speaker 1>a mismatch where one is, you know, that much bigger
<v Speaker 1>than the other. Brian Alex says, I love Bush. You
<v Speaker 1>voted for him? Did you main event? Oh, it's the Ace.
<v Speaker 1>It's the Ace, the president del Presidente of New Japan
<v Speaker 1>Pro Wrestling in his own retirement year. Actually, Johnsen is
<v Speaker 1>not the only one having a retirement year. Heiroshi Tanahashi,
<v Speaker 1>Ben says, h Og Chicago cannot wait. Get your tickets.
<v Speaker 1>Got some fun stuff planned Friday night, November twenty first.
<v Speaker 1>I'll be there. I'll be back Chicago. I'm back inside
<v Speaker 1>you November twenty first. All right, Hiroshi tana Hashi, the Ace,
<v Speaker 1>Prime Ace. Yes, when his knees were not jelly, I
<v Speaker 1>can't the beast Mortos look at that mask. Why are
<v Speaker 1>his ears coming out of his cheeks. He was realized,
<v Speaker 1>how defm that mask looks. Look at his right eye sloping.
<v Speaker 1>What a weird mask. Be a great match, though, Prime
<v Speaker 1>Tanahashi against the Beast Mortos. That's a collision main event
<v Speaker 1>anywhere in the world. Because you hit the second goal.
<v Speaker 1>We get to do this again, this time with stipulations.
<v Speaker 1>Round two fight all right. Our first stipulation here is
<v Speaker 1>going to be barroom brawl. All right, We're going to
<v Speaker 1>brawl in an actual barroom. That is the stipulation here.
<v Speaker 1>So keep that in mind because we're going to have
<v Speaker 1>a barroom brawl with the What do you think with
<v Speaker 1>the ladies a female barroom brawl? We should we do
<v Speaker 1>a men's book. We'll do a men's I'll tell you what.
<v Speaker 1>You know what the men are going to curtain jerk tonight.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to do that first. We're going to do
<v Speaker 1>a barroom brawl with the men and that's going to
<v Speaker 1>open the show. Oh no, what have I done? Can
<v Speaker 1>we undo what I just said? Now? We can't do that.
<v Speaker 1>It goes against the rules. The Great Collie in a
<v Speaker 1>barroom brawl against seth Rawlins, seth Rawlins and the Great
<v Speaker 1>Collie in a a like, I can't think of two
<v Speaker 1>people and a stipulation that could just be so different
<v Speaker 1>from each other. Great Collie Seth Rollins barroom brawl, which
<v Speaker 1>doesn't fit either one of them. It's a good thing
<v Speaker 1>that the men were not in the main event tonight.
<v Speaker 1>I'll just say that. I know Rowin. Look, Rollins had
<v Speaker 1>a good match once from what I remember with Omas,
<v Speaker 1>but a barroom brawl with a great colleague. Yeah, Seth
<v Speaker 1>Rollins is not a magician. I'm sorry. Uh oh, look
<v Speaker 1>what it is, everybody. We've got Tony Khan's dream match. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>the dream has come true. It will be a dream
<v Speaker 1>match for Tony Khan and the ladies. So he gets
<v Speaker 1>the book now. You know, if it's a Tony Khan
<v Speaker 1>dream match for the women, Mercedes is probably gonna come
<v Speaker 1>up here. And she is in here. Mercedes is in here.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see what the dream match is for Tony. We
<v Speaker 1>have Piper nivin. This was during her do drop phase.
<v Speaker 1>Yiper Niven against Emma is definitely not Tony Khan's dream badge.
<v Speaker 1>It sounds like Tony Kahan's nightmare. More like that, Tony
<v Speaker 1>Khan is very disappointed in this match. Here I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>he'd love to have another go at it, but that's
<v Speaker 1>not how it works. We do have a tag team
<v Speaker 1>match left. We're letting the tag team's main event tonight
<v Speaker 1>Anarchy in the Arena. Well, look, if you're going to
<v Speaker 1>have a main event stipulation, that is a main event stipulation.
<v Speaker 1>But with tag teams. See that's interesting. So two teams
<v Speaker 1>that are going to be actually, you know what, it's
<v Speaker 1>anarchy in the arena. So we kind of have to
<v Speaker 1>throw in two more teams. We have to book four
<v Speaker 1>teams in this match. Yeah, we need to book four teams.
<v Speaker 1>And I forgot that Darby set Jack Perry on fire.
<v Speaker 1>All right, so we're booking four teams here, Anarchy in
<v Speaker 1>the Arena. Team number one, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake
<v Speaker 1>the Dream Team former WWF Tag Team champions. As you
<v Speaker 1>could see there, that's before he was the barber. Owen
<v Speaker 1>Hart and Jeff Jarrett also with the Belts, they're in
<v Speaker 1>that image. Look at those two. What a pair. Owen
<v Speaker 1>Hart and Jeff Jarrett the dream Team. Ah yeah, Demolition
<v Speaker 1>Acts and Smash. I love it. Now we're talking anarchy
<v Speaker 1>in the arena here and the Steiner Brothers. You know,
<v Speaker 1>I just realized, like I think, in every except the
<v Speaker 1>Demolition one, every image they're holding in the image the
<v Speaker 1>old WWF tag team title belts. That's still the best
<v Speaker 1>design of those belts. But that is your anarchy in
<v Speaker 1>the arena match. I like it. I love it. You
<v Speaker 1>got Demolition, you got the Steiners, you got Owen Hart
<v Speaker 1>and Jeff Jarrett. Who was the first team. I already
<v Speaker 1>forgot the first team. That is an anarchy in the
<v Speaker 1>arena match. See that worked out well this time. That
<v Speaker 1>is a great main event. That is a great main event.
<v Speaker 1>What song is playing in the match? Ooh, that's a
<v Speaker 1>good one. Welcome to the Jungle. I think we can
<v Speaker 1>get the rights. Probably not right. I think welcome to
<v Speaker 1>the Jungle would be an appropriate theme. We had some
<v Speaker 1>good ones in there. Oh, the dream Team was the first. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>the dream Team Demolition. The Steiner Brothers sold me, Owen
<v Speaker 1>Hart and Jeff Jarrett. You sold me on the match
<v Speaker 1>and Clone Force ninety nine. Who wins? Brian says, who
<v Speaker 1>wins Demolition? Demolition are the Steiners? I'm going Demolition? Clone
<v Speaker 1>Force Prayers to my barber. He got in a motorcycle
<v Speaker 1>accident at three am days ago, and he is in
<v Speaker 1>a coma right now. And I had found out today
<v Speaker 1>since I had my appointment. That's a terrible way to
<v Speaker 1>find out. You walk in there and they have to
<v Speaker 1>tell you that whole story. That's terrior I hope he
<v Speaker 1>pulls through. Was he wearing his helmet? I hope he
<v Speaker 1>was wearing his helmet? But thank you Clone Force. See
<v Speaker 1>that anarchy in the arena match, as the cool kids say,
<v Speaker 1>would feed families. Well, the next time I'm with you
<v Speaker 1>live will be Monday night for the Raw Post show.
<v Speaker 1>But before that, we have episode nine twenty eight of
<v Speaker 1>the SoundOff, which will be going up on Sunday, and
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot to cover on there, so tune into that.
<v Speaker 1>Check out all the other content that has gone up
<v Speaker 1>this week on the channel, plenty of clips, all the
<v Speaker 1>other live streams as well, if you missed any of that.
<v Speaker 1>And I appreciate all of the support you guys. Blew
<v Speaker 1>it out tonight to be the bookers. It's the way
<v Speaker 1>it should be all the time. Let's do it again
<v Speaker 1>on Monday night. Let's run it back. Maybe we'll do
<v Speaker 1>another anarchy in the arena match. How about that? And
<v Speaker 1>again if you missed it, the full set with Bully
<v Speaker 1>and myself and the match that followed him and Zilla.
<v Speaker 1>That is up right now in the House of Glory
<v Speaker 1>YouTube channels, So when you're done here, you can go
<v Speaker 1>over there. I think it's like a quick ten or
<v Speaker 1>eleven minutes. Go check that out, leave some comments and feedback,
<v Speaker 1>find out what happened after that little teaser I left
<v Speaker 1>earlier on be Well, Stay Safe. Retro says Solemn Monster
<v Speaker 1>feeds Generations. I feel like we got a couple of
<v Speaker 1>generations of people that have listened to my show, from
<v Speaker 1>the going back to the first one I ever did
<v Speaker 1>to the current ones. It feels like it sometimes I
<v Speaker 1>love it though. Happ a great weekend. Check out the
<v Speaker 1>sound off. I'll see you back here on Monday night.
