<v Speaker 1>Title Open Challenge has been the highlight of SmackDown for

<v Speaker 1>a month, and I actually am dreading the day that

<v Speaker 1>Sammy actually loses the championship because I don't know what

<v Speaker 1>this show is going to look like in the absence

<v Speaker 1>of these matches. But holy shit, I am not looking

<v Speaker 1>forward to that. Sammy's A and Javon Evans, that was

<v Speaker 1>the highlight of the night they were in Orlando. Javon Evans,

<v Speaker 1>of course, the twenty one year old phenom from NXT

<v Speaker 1>who is wrestling at No Mercy tomorrow night. He showed

<v Speaker 1>up and stepped up for the Open Challenge and had

<v Speaker 1>a great match, a banger of a match with Sammy's Ain.

<v Speaker 1>One of those matches that I think we'll look back

<v Speaker 1>on years from now as the first real breakout moment

<v Speaker 1>for him on the main roster, even though he's not

<v Speaker 1>officially on the main roster yet. I very much enjoyed

<v Speaker 1>that match. I wish I could say the same about

<v Speaker 1>the main event on this show, but I cannot. I

<v Speaker 1>cannot we had Tiffany Stratton, we had Jade car Gill,

<v Speaker 1>and we had Naya Jacks for the WWE Women's Championship.

<v Speaker 1>The winner would go on to meet Stephanie Viquier at

<v Speaker 1>Crown Jewel because they're doing these champion versus champion matches again,

<v Speaker 1>brand versus brand, and the only person in this match

<v Speaker 1>that really made sense was Tiffany Stratton, even though she's

<v Speaker 1>been undefeated this entire year and I'm already over this

<v Speaker 1>run and it's not even entirely her fault. The SmackDown

<v Speaker 1>Women's division sucks. There's no competition for her. It's boring.

<v Speaker 1>They desperately need some new faces in this division, calling

<v Speaker 1>up people, moving people over from Raw, whatever they need

<v Speaker 1>to do. The division is in dire straits right now.

<v Speaker 1>And Tiffany Stratton was the only name though that really

<v Speaker 1>made sense for the match with Stephanie. You're not gonna

<v Speaker 1>do Stephanie and Naya. You're not gonna do Stephanie and Jade,

<v Speaker 1>because Jade's not ready to be in that spot a match,

<v Speaker 1>And you know, I can't even say. I'm not gonna

<v Speaker 1>say the match was terrible. I don't think the match

<v Speaker 1>is as good as some of you were saying it is.

<v Speaker 1>I didn't think it was a great match at all

<v Speaker 1>as far as the main event goes. But it really

<v Speaker 1>fell apart towards the end and Jade car Gilt came

<v Speaker 1>up busted open because she ate the steps courtesy of

<v Speaker 1>Naya Jacks. Naya Jacks threw her into the steel steps

<v Speaker 1>and Jade got all of it, and she came up

<v Speaker 1>and she had a gash on her face. There's blood

<v Speaker 1>all over the floor, and from that moment on, the

<v Speaker 1>entire finish of this match, the entire finishing sequence of

<v Speaker 1>this match completely fell apart. And it wasn't it wasn't

<v Speaker 1>just that she got busted open. That was really just

<v Speaker 1>the beginning of it. But she gets busted open and

<v Speaker 1>she gets back in the ring with Naya, puts Naya

<v Speaker 1>down with one of her signature moves. Tiffany is supposed

<v Speaker 1>to break up the fall, but she's late, so Nya

<v Speaker 1>has to kick out and then Jade gets dropped. Kick

<v Speaker 1>Tiffany covers Naia. We're supposed to get a three count,

<v Speaker 1>and the referee counts one, and the referee counts two

<v Speaker 1>and Nya still laying there, shoulders flat on the mat

<v Speaker 1>and the referee holds up her count. I don't know

<v Speaker 1>what the referee was expecting. I don't know if she

<v Speaker 1>saw a ghost, I don't know, but she held up

<v Speaker 1>the count. The arena went silent. Tiffany had her back

<v Speaker 1>to her and she hears the silence of the crowd

<v Speaker 1>and is like, what's going on here? And you can

<v Speaker 1>see Nya look up and go what happened? And the

<v Speaker 1>referee is just It's one of those moments where I

<v Speaker 1>feel bad for the referee because put yourself in the

<v Speaker 1>referee's position here you realize in this moment you're on

<v Speaker 1>live television and you have fucked up the ending of

<v Speaker 1>this match, right, these three women. Whatever you thought of

<v Speaker 1>the match, and again I've seen much better smack Down

<v Speaker 1>main events than this, But whatever you think of the match,

<v Speaker 1>you never want to be in a position where you

<v Speaker 1>feel like you've ruined the match, right, and you're not

<v Speaker 1>even one of the combatants the match. I'm sure that

<v Speaker 1>she feels really badly about what happened. It looked awful.

<v Speaker 1>And so they sat there and they had to figure out, well,

<v Speaker 1>what do we do now? And the easiest thing, right,

<v Speaker 1>the path of least resistance was just have Tiffany go

<v Speaker 1>up and hit her moonsalt, and that's what she did,

<v Speaker 1>so she actually won with her finish and retained her championship.

<v Speaker 1>But in that instance, you've got to count the three

<v Speaker 1>and that was a Vince McMahon thing. I don't know

<v Speaker 1>if that's still the policy now in WWE, where you

<v Speaker 1>have to call it as a shoot. But that makes

<v Speaker 1>sense because when you're in a situation like this, and

<v Speaker 1>this is live TV. This is not like a house

<v Speaker 1>show match or something you're on television. It's the main

<v Speaker 1>event of the show. You only have so much time

<v Speaker 1>left before you go off the air. I don't know

<v Speaker 1>if she got lost. I don't know if there was

<v Speaker 1>a miscommunication somewhere. But if you see somebody on the

<v Speaker 1>mat and they don't kick out, that's on them. That's

<v Speaker 1>not your responsibility. So as the referee, it makes a

<v Speaker 1>lot of sense that you would count it as a shoot.

<v Speaker 1>And if the person doesn't get their shoulder up, if

<v Speaker 1>the person doesn't kick out fast enough, you blame the wrestler,

<v Speaker 1>you don't blame the referee. So again, I don't know

<v Speaker 1>what was going through her head. I don't know what

<v Speaker 1>the hell happened there, but it was a batchtastic finish

<v Speaker 1>to a triple threat main event. Now we know what

<v Speaker 1>the Crown Jewel title matches are going to be in

<v Speaker 1>Perth next month. I mentioned Sammy's ain his match with

<v Speaker 1>Javon Evans was the highlight of the night. Jacob Fatu

<v Speaker 1>is back, right. I'm trying to pull little positive pieces

<v Speaker 1>out of the show here. Jacob FA two is back.

<v Speaker 1>He's gonna be in a program now with Drew McIntyre,

<v Speaker 1>who we have to wait and see what happens here.

<v Speaker 1>I will be very surprised if it ends up with

<v Speaker 1>Drew McIntyre doing a one and done program with Cody Rhodes.

<v Speaker 1>It can't be one and done for Drew McIntyre. That

<v Speaker 1>would be completely ridiculous. But for the time being anyway,

<v Speaker 1>he is moving on to Jacob fa Tou. They set

<v Speaker 1>things up for a future match I would assume Perth,

<v Speaker 1>but future match between the two of them. So I

<v Speaker 1>was happy to see Jacob back. He's been in the

<v Speaker 1>Witness Protection program now for many many weeks, and beyond that.

<v Speaker 1>I don't really have a whole hell of a lot

<v Speaker 1>to say about this show. SmackDown for me continues to

<v Speaker 1>be a slog to sit through every single week. You

<v Speaker 1>could say that SmackDown this week was marginally better than

<v Speaker 1>it was last week. Cool, SmackDown is still not a

<v Speaker 1>great show. I'm still waiting for SmackDown to heat up

<v Speaker 1>again like it was a year ago. There was a

<v Speaker 1>period of time where SmackDown was actually the a show

<v Speaker 1>during the week, more so than Monday Nightraw. That, of course,

<v Speaker 1>is not the case right now. SmackDown, though, just feels

<v Speaker 1>like a very dead show. I think of all the

<v Speaker 1>WWE shows week to week, this is the one that

<v Speaker 1>feels the most empty. This is the one that feels

<v Speaker 1>the most dead right now. And the crowd didn't help.

<v Speaker 1>Crowd in Orlando obviously was very nonplus by a lot

<v Speaker 1>of what they saw on this show unless your name

<v Speaker 1>was Javon Evans or Sammy's Ain that they were very

<v Speaker 1>much into. But SmackDown for me, it just doesn't do much.

<v Speaker 1>That's why I keep talking about the US Title Open

<v Speaker 1>challenge of when it's over, what the fuck is this

<v Speaker 1>show going to look like? It has been consistently the

<v Speaker 1>highlight of the week every single week in many ways,

<v Speaker 1>just like the John Cena US Open Challenge was ten

<v Speaker 1>years ago. So when Sammy stood in the ring with

<v Speaker 1>Seena a month ago and said, look, out of respect,

<v Speaker 1>I want to ask your permission to bring back the

<v Speaker 1>US Title Open Challenge, I said, Man, if he can

<v Speaker 1>recapture even some of the magic of the one that's

<v Speaker 1>seen it did ten years ago, we're in for a treat.

<v Speaker 1>And it's been a huge net positive for this show

<v Speaker 1>because there's not a whole lot else going on to

<v Speaker 1>really get you excited on Friday nights. Thank God for

<v Speaker 1>the US Title Open Challenge. I never thought I would

<v Speaker 1>be sitting here lavishing all of this praise on an

<v Speaker 1>open challenge, as if we don't get enough of those

<v Speaker 1>these days. But what would we do on Fridays without it?

<v Speaker 1>a mistake last week in calling Paul Hayman a goon.

<v Speaker 1>He called Hayman the smartest man he knows, and he

<v Speaker 1>would go ahead and ask the question, tell me about

<v Speaker 1>brock Lesner. And then he asked for the truck to

<v Speaker 1>show the evidence, and they threw up a still shot

<v Speaker 1>from Brock's introduction that Hayman gave to him at Wressell Polooza,

<v Speaker 1>and in the shot, Brock has got a big smile

<v Speaker 1>on his face and Hayman's got a big smile on

<v Speaker 1>his face. Cody said, he knows brock Lesner. Does that

<v Speaker 1>look Does that look like the face of someone if

<v Speaker 1>it was a one night thing? He asked, am I

<v Speaker 1>talking to an oracle? Am I talking to a wise man?

<v Speaker 1>Or am I talking to an advocate? Hayman said, Cody

<v Speaker 1>tells him that backstage. But Cody is trying to point

<v Speaker 1>out that whatever he's telling you, he's probably telling you.

<v Speaker 1>you sound special and making you feel like you're one

<v Speaker 1>was hoping that maybe this would be the moment that

<v Speaker 1>Jacob Foughtu would come out, and maybe it would set

<v Speaker 1>up a TV main event. We didn't get Jacob Fattu here.

<v Speaker 1>We got him later, we got Randy ort He comes

<v Speaker 1>down to the ring. Before he could even get into

<v Speaker 1>the ring, Bronson Reid exits, tries to cut him off

<v Speaker 1>in the aisleway, and Orton puts him down. Now he's

<v Speaker 1>in the ring, he sets his sights on bron Breaker.

<v Speaker 1>He goes for an RKO, but he gets shoved off.

<v Speaker 1>But he gets shoved off right into Bronson Reid and

<v Speaker 1>gives Red an RKO instead. And that was pretty much

<v Speaker 1>the end of the segment. Right there, the Vision were

<v Speaker 1>scrambling for their lives out of the ring, and it

<v Speaker 1>was Orton and Cody left alone inside the ring, and

<v Speaker 1>I thought maybe they were setting up a tag team

<v Speaker 1>main event. Didn't occur to me that they were going

<v Speaker 1>to close the show with the women. I thought, maybe

<v Speaker 1>they'll you do that match at the top of the

<v Speaker 1>second hour or something. But that was our main event.

<v Speaker 1>We're gonna get a tag team match, I feel that way,

<v Speaker 1>Cody and Randy against the Vision. It's not going to

<v Speaker 1>be Crown Jewel obviously, but that could be a SmackDown

<v Speaker 1>main event I would. I don't know about next week

<v Speaker 1>or the week after, but it feels like a match

<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get very soon, you know. He mentioned brock Lesner.

<v Speaker 1>Fightful is saying that Brock is not due back on

<v Speaker 1>TV for a while, which I'm fine with, let him

<v Speaker 1>take another vacation. But it actually felt like they were

<v Speaker 1>teasing Cody possibly defending his championship at some point in

<v Speaker 1>the not too distant future against Brock Lesner, which I

<v Speaker 1>don't need to see. We've already seen it. They've already

<v Speaker 1>had three matches before, and Cody beat him decisively at

<v Speaker 1>Summer Slammed the last time, and Brock put him over

<v Speaker 1>and raised his hand. There's no need to see that again.

<v Speaker 1>So hopefully him bringing up Lesner was just feeding into,

<v Speaker 1>like he said, the conspiracy theories and the questions about

<v Speaker 1>whether or not Hayman is really back with Brock or not,

<v Speaker 1>and not a sign of something more that we're going

<v Speaker 1>to be getting between Cody and Brock because I don't

<v Speaker 1>want to see it, because we already saw it and

<v Speaker 1>we don't need to see it again. Now after this

<v Speaker 1>we got speaking of things that I don't need to

<v Speaker 1>see again. We have the Street Profits who were back

<v Speaker 1>on the same page, and there were no signs of

<v Speaker 1>any sort of animosity or any miscommunications between them tonight

<v Speaker 1>or anything like that. They put their differences aside at

<v Speaker 1>least for now, and everything is cool with the Street Profits.

<v Speaker 1>They were in action next. They were taking on Carmelo

<v Speaker 1>Hayes and the Miz. The winners of this match would

<v Speaker 1>be the number one contenders for the WWE tag team titles.

<v Speaker 1>After a break, Miz drilled Montese Ford with a kneeling DDT.

<v Speaker 1>Michael Cole brings up that on social media this week

<v Speaker 1>or on social media of late, the Miz has been

<v Speaker 1>lobbying for one last match on this retirement tour with

<v Speaker 1>John Cena. We've wasted enough time, We've wasted enough of

<v Speaker 1>John Cena's retirement tour. We don't need to waste more

<v Speaker 1>of it. One of his last few remaining matches on

<v Speaker 1>the MIZZ. So I don't know if he brought that

<v Speaker 1>up for a reason, or if he just brought it

<v Speaker 1>up because he felt like bringing it up. But let

<v Speaker 1>us hope that is not one of John Cena's final matches.

<v Speaker 1>Here in this retirement tour. We're getting John Cena and

<v Speaker 1>aj Styles at Crown Jewel. Great. That's an old match

<v Speaker 1>that I would love to see them run back. I'm

<v Speaker 1>glad we're getting that match. If you were to ask

<v Speaker 1>fifty people if you had the pen here, if you

<v Speaker 1>had the pen, and you can book the remaining three matches,

<v Speaker 1>four matches at most that John Cena has left on

<v Speaker 1>this retirement tour, Okay, you got put your top five

<v Speaker 1>names on the list. None of those fifty people would

<v Speaker 1>have the mid in the top five. I'm sure MS

<v Speaker 1>would love to wrestle John. Everyone wants to wrestle John Cena.

<v Speaker 1>lobbying to wrestle John Cena. Of course Mis wants to

<v Speaker 1>wrestle John Cena. Question is does anybody want to see

<v Speaker 1>the Miss wrestle John Cena. The answer is no, No,

<v Speaker 1>they don't not at this point. Maybe if it was

<v Speaker 1>January you could do a raw match. It ain't January.

<v Speaker 1>It's almost October. The next time we do is SmackDown Review.

<v Speaker 1>Hayes got the tag as he delivered a cheap shot

<v Speaker 1>to Angelo Dawkins on the apron. Meanwhile, Montez Ford managed

<v Speaker 1>to fight his way out of enemy territory. He tried

<v Speaker 1>to tag in Dawkins. Mizz, though pulled Dawkins down off

<v Speaker 1>the apron outside. This allowed Hayes to hit forward with

<v Speaker 1>the first forty eight, and then Hayes headed up top.

<v Speaker 1>He was looking for his finish. He was looking for

<v Speaker 1>nothing but net. But as he's up top, the Miz

<v Speaker 1>once again selfishly tags himself in but Ford or not Ford,

<v Speaker 1>but Hayes grabs him. I think by the rest he's

<v Speaker 1>holding him and Miss is like what are you doing?

<v Speaker 1>You know, he looks back at him, like what are

<v Speaker 1>you doing? Because Hayes is tired of this, right, He's

<v Speaker 1>tired of Miz stealing the glory. So this gave the

<v Speaker 1>Profits a chance to make a comeback, as Dawkins rock

<v Speaker 1>Miz with a corkscrew elbow followed by a spinning neck

<v Speaker 1>breaker and with Ford as the legal man, he took

<v Speaker 1>ring and had plenty of time to break up the pin,

<v Speaker 1>to take place, I'm sure it'll be a TV match.

<v Speaker 1>It needs to be a TV match. We don't need

<v Speaker 1>the Street Profit. We know how limited the real estate

<v Speaker 1>is on these triple hpls. We do not need the

<v Speaker 1>Street Profits in the Wyatt Six on a pl So

<v Speaker 1>they could do that on SmackDown any week they want to,

<v Speaker 1>so we don't know when, but we know that that

<v Speaker 1>match is going to be coming. It doesn't inspire any

<v Speaker 1>excitement for me. We weren't even supposed to get that

<v Speaker 1>match in Paris, right, That was going to be Andrade

<v Speaker 1>and Ray Phoenix, And because of what happened with Andrade,

<v Speaker 1>they basically went with the Street Profits as a fallback.

<v Speaker 1>But we got it, you know, wasn't terribly memorable. Now

<v Speaker 1>we're gonna get it again. Do they circle back to

<v Speaker 1>this idea of maybe splitting up the Street Profits where

<v Speaker 1>something goes wrong in that title match and that's it,

<v Speaker 1>that's the straw that breaks the camel's back and you've

<v Speaker 1>got Dawkins breaking away from Ford or Ford breaking away

<v Speaker 1>from Dawkins. It could still happen. You know, they were

<v Speaker 1>on the best of terms tonight, But that doesn't mean

<v Speaker 1>that if they lose, which they will when they wrestle

<v Speaker 1>the y at six, that they still don't do a split.

<v Speaker 1>They've been teasing it for so long now it's like,

<v Speaker 1>just make a decision, either do it or don't do it,

<v Speaker 1>you know, but the teases will only take you so far.

<v Speaker 1>Because we've already gotten that so many times and nothing

<v Speaker 1>ever comes of it. They always just patch things up

<v Speaker 1>and everything goes back to normal. But at this point,

<v Speaker 1>like the Street Profits and the why, It's it's just

<v Speaker 1>not a terribly exciting match. So I have to think

<v Speaker 1>if they're doing this match again, there's a reason for it,

<v Speaker 1>but it doesn't necessarily mean they're winning the belts. What

<v Speaker 1>else could it be. It could only be one other thing,

<v Speaker 1>which is a breakup. And even if they break them up,

<v Speaker 1>there's no guarantee of success for either one of these guys,

<v Speaker 1>even though you would think someone like montes Ford is

<v Speaker 1>a slam dunk, there's no guarantee. But I do think

<v Speaker 1>it's probably a risk worth taking because the Street Profits

<v Speaker 1>they've hit a wall. They've hit a wall. What else

<v Speaker 1>is left for them to do? At this point, I'm

<v Speaker 1>drawing a blank. I don't know that upward mobility that

<v Speaker 1>you always want to have in your career. It's like

<v Speaker 1>they've hit that ceiling. It can't break through. That ceiling

<v Speaker 1>is rock solid. So you got to make a decision.

<v Speaker 1>What do you want to do? You know, where do

<v Speaker 1>you want to take these guys? But I mean as

<v Speaker 1>far as Mellow and Miss, there's nothing with the story

<v Speaker 1>that they're telling with these two, we got some new

<v Speaker 1>movement at least in the direction of a split based

<v Speaker 1>on how that finish went down. Obviously that's gonna cause

<v Speaker 1>some issues between the two of them. The way I

<v Speaker 1>would describe it, it's a perfectly competent story that they

<v Speaker 1>have been telling with them on the show. And for

<v Speaker 1>anybody who feels like this is the best story that

<v Speaker 1>is going today on SmackDown. To me, if you honestly

<v Speaker 1>believe that, and I'm not even sure that's really a

<v Speaker 1>wrong statement, it probably is the best story going right

<v Speaker 1>now on SmackDown, to me, that's an indictment. That's an

<v Speaker 1>indictment on SmackDown. If this is the best storytelling that

<v Speaker 1>we have right now on Friday nights, I don't look

<v Speaker 1>at that as a positive. I look at that as

<v Speaker 1>a negative if that's the best that they can offer

<v Speaker 1>here on SmackDown. So, yeah, it's a perfectly competent mid

<v Speaker 1>card story. But if that's the best they got, whoof

<v Speaker 1>that ain't good? Now? As Jade car Gill was interviewed

<v Speaker 1>backstage about the triple threat match tonight for the Women's Championship,

<v Speaker 1>the new Women's World heavyweight champion Stephanie Vicaire showed up

<v Speaker 1>and she confronted Jade, and Jade told her that a

<v Speaker 1>storm would be coming her way at Crown Jewel, and

<v Speaker 1>the care told her that she would be ready. We

<v Speaker 1>had Julia and Keana James against Meechen and Bfab. Oh Man,

<v Speaker 1>you know when I saw Julia in NXT, if you

<v Speaker 1>would have told me that I would be reviewing a

<v Speaker 1>Julia match on SmackDown once she gets called up and

<v Speaker 1>she's not only is she called up, but she's the

<v Speaker 1>United States champion. They put a belt on her. I'd

<v Speaker 1>be like super excited right to see the ascent of Julia.

<v Speaker 1>And here I sit and I just I don't know.

<v Speaker 1>I feel defeated. I feel nothing as I watched this.

<v Speaker 1>Evidently the crowd felt nothing too, because they were terribly

<v Speaker 1>excited or animated watching this match. I just I feel

<v Speaker 1>nothing watching this. B Fab opened by blasting Keana with

<v Speaker 1>some strikes. She got taken down by a clothesline by Julia.

<v Speaker 1>Bfab responded with a drop kick to Kana and she

<v Speaker 1>tagged Mechin in. Julia then tagged in and the US

<v Speaker 1>champion struck Mechin with a kick. She got met with

<v Speaker 1>a Hurricane Rana and the tag got made to BFAB.

<v Speaker 1>She kept Julia grounded and the champion rolled outside for

<v Speaker 1>the retreat. Things broke down. The champion got blasted by

<v Speaker 1>a drop kick off the announced desk, a shotgun dropkick

<v Speaker 1>by Michin which took us into the commercial break. BFAB

<v Speaker 1>was in trouble. Keana re entered the match and maintained

<v Speaker 1>the upper hand. There was a missed elbow that allowed

<v Speaker 1>BFAB to recreate or not recreated to create some separation,

<v Speaker 1>and she tried to tag in Michin and she got

<v Speaker 1>the tag. So Miechin dropped Keana with a DDT she used,

<v Speaker 1>using Julia as a base for it. Things broke down.

<v Speaker 1>Meechin hit Keana with eight defeat, but that sent her

<v Speaker 1>into Julia's corner, which allowed her to tag in and

<v Speaker 1>she flattened Meechin with the Arriva dere Chi knee followed

<v Speaker 1>by a Northern Lights bomb for the wind. This was

<v Speaker 1>depressingly flat. The crowd did not give a shit about

<v Speaker 1>this match. It was. It was a struggle to pull

<v Speaker 1>any sort of reaction. Maybe little pockets of a reaction

<v Speaker 1>here and there, but it was a struggle to pull

<v Speaker 1>a reaction out of these people. I can't blame them.

<v Speaker 1>I mean the match itself was very paint by numbers, right,

<v Speaker 1>I mean the right person one, but it was very

<v Speaker 1>paint by number stuff. The crowd is not invested in

<v Speaker 1>any of these people like you can you can watch

<v Speaker 1>Raw for example, and when Rhea is out there, when

<v Speaker 1>liv Morgan was on the show every week, when Stephanie's

<v Speaker 1>out there now EO, when she's out there, like you

<v Speaker 1>can tell. Even on this show, Tiffany right, still very popular.

<v Speaker 1>There are certain people the crowd is very heavily invested in.

<v Speaker 1>And that's also the product of them being on television

<v Speaker 1>for many years and repetitions. Right, they're on the show

<v Speaker 1>every single week. There's people feel like they have equity

<v Speaker 1>in some of these characters, and so you can very

<v Speaker 1>easily tell when the fans have no connection and no

<v Speaker 1>investment whatsoever in somebody on the show. They have no

<v Speaker 1>investment in Julia even though she's been the United States

<v Speaker 1>champion for a few months. They have no investment in

<v Speaker 1>Keana James, they have no investment in Meechin, they have

<v Speaker 1>no investment in Befat. Because of that, you end up

<v Speaker 1>with a match like this, which just feels very flat,

<v Speaker 1>and there was nothing they did in this match that

<v Speaker 1>was necessarily wrong. There was nothing in this match that

<v Speaker 1>was also going to really change any of that. It

<v Speaker 1>was a match, and you would suspect that it might

<v Speaker 1>lead to a title match between Julian Mitchen, you know again,

<v Speaker 1>even though Julia beat them, I mean, she won the match.

<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure why we need to, you know, continue

<v Speaker 1>this other than the fact that there's nobody else. And

<v Speaker 1>so when I've said before that this women's division is

<v Speaker 1>in dire straits right now on SmackDown, this is what

<v Speaker 1>I'm talking about, this division, and this just highlighted it

<v Speaker 1>right here. They desperately need to call up some new

<v Speaker 1>faces or move some faces over from Monday Night. But

<v Speaker 1>they desperately need to call up some new faces. And

<v Speaker 1>funny enough, in the very next segment that came after

<v Speaker 1>this match, we had Zaria and soul Ruka from NXT

<v Speaker 1>who confronted Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss who were in

<v Speaker 1>the back, and Zaria was very disrespectful towards the tag

<v Speaker 1>team champions, but they wanted next. They demanded a shot

<v Speaker 1>of the women's tag team titles, and it was Alexa

<v Speaker 1>Bliss who told them to get in line and earn

<v Speaker 1>it first, and Charlotte was very impressed that the way

<v Speaker 1>that Alexa told them off. But that was the segment,

<v Speaker 1>so they set that match up. But sol Ruca, sol

<v Speaker 1>Ruka is gonna be a big star in that women's

<v Speaker 1>division on Raw or SmackDown, you know where she needs

<v Speaker 1>to be SmackDown. SmackDown could use soul Ruca a lot

<v Speaker 1>right now. Frankly, you could put soul Ruka and Zaria

<v Speaker 1>on the main roster, but sol Ruka in particular, And

<v Speaker 1>then there's other people from NXT who don't really need

<v Speaker 1>to spend that much more time in NXT, Blake Monroe,

<v Speaker 1>Jordan Grace. You take two or three names and maybe

<v Speaker 1>just dump them all, frankly on SmackDown. That's how badly

<v Speaker 1>the women's division on SmackDown could use these people, and

<v Speaker 1>I think it would make all the difference in the world.

<v Speaker 1>But it's going to take time yet, Like if they

<v Speaker 1>called bunch of people up next week, they're not all

<v Speaker 1>going to be over on day one. I mean, sol Ruka,

<v Speaker 1>I don't think it's going to take too long for

<v Speaker 1>her to get over with that soul snatcher in the

<v Speaker 1>way that Java On Evans was able to kind of

<v Speaker 1>grab the crowd by the throat tonight. We'll get to

<v Speaker 1>him in a minute. But even if they call people

<v Speaker 1>up next week, some of these women, it will take

<v Speaker 1>time to get that crowd investment in them. That just

<v Speaker 1>is not there yet for Julia, because they just really

<v Speaker 1>haven't given people a reason to get behind some of

<v Speaker 1>these women. And now Julie is a heel, obviously, so

<v Speaker 1>when I say get invested in them, get invested in

<v Speaker 1>them as a heel or a babyface. When you're invested

<v Speaker 1>in someone, you're reacting to them, you're cheering them, you're

<v Speaker 1>booing them, you're chanting. You know, fuck you, Julia, fuck you.

<v Speaker 1>You know there's an investment there. The people are expending energy,

<v Speaker 1>they're bringing signs, they're starting chance, they're invested. There's none

<v Speaker 1>of that here. There's nothing to get excited about. There's

<v Speaker 1>no interesting, compelling matches that we could sit here in

<v Speaker 1>fantasy book right now for the SmackDown women's division, not one,

<v Speaker 1>not one that has to change. You can put a

<v Speaker 1>belt on Julia if you want to. You can call

<v Speaker 1>her a champion. She's got a cool entrance. It's not

<v Speaker 1>gonna matter if she doesn't have somebody. The Batman to

<v Speaker 1>the Joker right used that analogy a lot. She's the champion.

<v Speaker 1>She needs a great challenger to be programmed with and

<v Speaker 1>to be working with. Who is that person gonna be.

<v Speaker 1>It's not gonna be Michen, It's not gonna be Befab.

<v Speaker 1>Who's that person gonna be. That person doesn't exist right now,

<v Speaker 1>And as long as that person doesn't exist, Julia is fucked.

<v Speaker 1>She's stuck. She needs someone. She needs that person to

<v Speaker 1>work with, or this US title reign is going to

<v Speaker 1>go down the drain. It's already halfway down the bowl.

<v Speaker 1>won his second WWE championship in front of a bunch

<v Speaker 1>of screens. Boy, he really can't let that go. He

<v Speaker 1>really can't let that's He's been crowing about this for

<v Speaker 1>years now about his title run being in front of

<v Speaker 1>a bunch of screens inside the Thunderdome. I mean, look,

<v Speaker 1>I sympathize with the guy, but brother, you gotta let

<v Speaker 1>it go at some point. I mean, you had your

<v Speaker 1>shot at Wressell Palooza and you kick the table and

<v Speaker 1>you lost. That's on you. But he said that he

<v Speaker 1>have to do the Champion against Champion stuff. But I

<v Speaker 1>think Survivor Series you got to run it back in

<v Speaker 1>some form or fashion. Not only did you do Cody

<v Speaker 1>and Drew Wreussell Paluza, potentially making it a one and done,

<v Speaker 1>but the way it ended, Drew beat himself because he

<v Speaker 1>kicked the desk. He kicked the desk and injured himself.

<v Speaker 1>the ring after that, and he collapsed under the weight

<v Speaker 1>could do Cody, Drew and Randy and make it a

<v Speaker 1>triple threat because Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre have issues

<v Speaker 1>as well. I actually liked that idea more. There's so

<v Speaker 1>many different ways that you could go with that. And

<v Speaker 1>we heard a report this week, I think it was

<v Speaker 1>bodyslam dot Net that Cody and Drew themselves had pitched

<v Speaker 1>an alternate finish to their match at Wressell Palooza or

<v Speaker 1>Randy Orton would have accidentally cost Cody Rhoads the WWE

<v Speaker 1>Championship and it would have led to Cody having to

<v Speaker 1>chase Drew to get the belt back and then getting

<v Speaker 1>it back and then after that pulling the trigger and

<v Speaker 1>Randy Yorton then turns heel on Cody Roads. I think

<v Speaker 1>that's a great fucking idea. And just because they didn't

<v Speaker 1>do it at Wrussell Polouza doesn't mean they still can't

<v Speaker 1>do it. They can there's still time and Survivor Series,

<v Speaker 1>you do a triple threat match. Guess what Randy Orton

<v Speaker 1>could accidentally cost Cody the match? You could do some

<v Speaker 1>variation of that finish, and Trew McIntyre could leave Survivor

<v Speaker 1>Series the WWE champion, even if Cody just gets the

<v Speaker 1>bell back at the Rumble in Saudi okay, or elimination

<v Speaker 1>Chamber okay. So what's so wrong about that? This show

<v Speaker 1>is in dire need of a shakeup in many ways,

<v Speaker 1>Like I said, shake up the women's division, get some

<v Speaker 1>new faces in there. I look at the top of

<v Speaker 1>the card right now. John Sen is done with SmackDown.

<v Speaker 1>Brock Lesnier, We're not going to see him for a

<v Speaker 1>while on SmackDown. Roman Rains is really not on SmackDown anyway.

<v Speaker 1>I mean, Roman Rains is on whatever show they want

<v Speaker 1>him to be on. So you look at the top

<v Speaker 1>of the cards. You have Cody, you have Randy, right,

<v Speaker 1>you have Drew, I guess, although now he's sort of

<v Speaker 1>moved down a peg and there's not a whole lot

<v Speaker 1>else going on at the very top of the card

<v Speaker 1>on SmackDown. Right now, they got the MFTs. So Cody

<v Speaker 1>is the champion. Drew is still talking about being screwed

<v Speaker 1>out of the championship. Randy Orton's running around going after

<v Speaker 1>Drew do a triple threat match and do a title change.

<v Speaker 1>There's no harm in taking the title of Cody and

<v Speaker 1>making him chase to get it back two or three

<v Speaker 1>more months later. There's so many different stories that you

<v Speaker 1>could tell with him and Randy and how that might

<v Speaker 1>branch off. Do it. Stop playing it safe? Do it?

<v Speaker 1>in the ring, it will end with Tiffany becoming the

<v Speaker 1>Crown Jewel Champion. We'll see, said Stephanie. Now elsewhere in

<v Speaker 1>the back, Sammy's Ain was chatting with Ray Phoenix, who

<v Speaker 1>I guess just showed up to the show to hang

<v Speaker 1>out in catering and now he's having a conversation here

<v Speaker 1>with Sammy's Ain And he asked, Sammy, who do you

<v Speaker 1>think is going to answer your open He botched the line.

<v Speaker 1>it up. I forgot what he said. He said, like,

<v Speaker 1>who do you think challenge you? Or will challenge it? Whatever?

<v Speaker 1>first time that that has happened on SmackDown in the

<v Speaker 1>last few weeks. I would love to sit here and

<v Speaker 1>pretend that I am as excited to see Sammy zaying

<v Speaker 1>against Shinsky Nakimore as I was in twenty sixteen in

<v Speaker 1>Dallas when I was third row ringside at NXT Takeover

<v Speaker 1>and I saw one of the best live matches I've

<v Speaker 1>ever seen. I would love to still be sitting here

<v Speaker 1>nine years later and have that same enthusiasm. But I can't.

<v Speaker 1>I can't because the Shinsky Nakamoora that I saw that

<v Speaker 1>night is not the same Shinsky Nakamora that we see today.

<v Speaker 1>And I'm not just saying because he's nine years older.

<v Speaker 1>That's true, but so is Sammy. Samby's still going out

<v Speaker 1>there having banger matches. There's a lot of reasons why

<v Speaker 1>I no longer feel that way about Shinsky Knockamore, so

<v Speaker 1>I can't get excited over it. I do wonder if

<v Speaker 1>that's the Crown Jewel match, if they were going to

<v Speaker 1>have a US Title Open Challenge matchic Crown Jewel, I

<v Speaker 1>think in front of that crowd in Perth, they might

<v Speaker 1>be able to turn it into something special. But you know,

<v Speaker 1>that last US title run that Shinsky had, if you

<v Speaker 1>could even call it a run as the US Champion,

<v Speaker 1>was just fucking garbage. I have no interest in seeing

<v Speaker 1>him challenging or winning the US title. It's the last

<v Speaker 1>thing I want to see. But Sammy's am was out

<v Speaker 1>for his United States Championship Open Challenge and accepting the

<v Speaker 1>Open challenge was Javan Evans, the young upstart from NXT.

<v Speaker 1>Twenty four hours before his match with Josh Briggs at

<v Speaker 1>No Mercy to Tomorrow night. The two of them locked

<v Speaker 1>up to start. Evans dodged Sammy before he got tossed

<v Speaker 1>around with arm drags from the champion in the corner.

<v Speaker 1>Evans delivered a chop to the chest, then he backed off.

<v Speaker 1>In response, Sammy got in some chops of his own.

<v Speaker 1>Evans answered with a springboard clothesline followed by a leaping

<v Speaker 1>rana off the top rope, and then Javan sent Sammy

<v Speaker 1>to the outside. He was looking like he was about

<v Speaker 1>to take flight. Sammy dough put a stop to that

<v Speaker 1>with a hard lariat that took us into the commercial break.

<v Speaker 1>We came back with Sammy having Evans on the ropes

<v Speaker 1>with a chop and the challenger fought out of it.

<v Speaker 1>He threw Sammy outside and then connected on a soaring

<v Speaker 1>dive out over the top rope. Inside. Evans countered a

<v Speaker 1>blue thunderbomb attempt and answered with a springboard in Saguri.

<v Speaker 1>Sammy tried for a diving move off the top. Evans

<v Speaker 1>ran up the ropes though then delivered an avalanche hurricane

<v Speaker 1>rona and this looked great even just leaping up into

<v Speaker 1>the air for the hurricanana like he got mega height

<v Speaker 1>on this thing. And so he pulled Sammy off that

<v Speaker 1>top rope and Sammy took a hell of a bump.

<v Speaker 1>He took a halluva bump, you might say, in the

<v Speaker 1>corner Evans, and by the way, that nearly won him

<v Speaker 1>the title, but not quite. In the corner. Evans tried

<v Speaker 1>to run at Sammy, he got caught with an exploder suplex.

<v Speaker 1>A Halluva kick attempt was thwarted by a drop kick

<v Speaker 1>right on the button by Evans. Another attempt at a

<v Speaker 1>Halluva kick was again countered, Evans dodged it at the

<v Speaker 1>last second. This left Sammy stunned and Evans connected with

<v Speaker 1>an og cutter for a great near fall. This thing

<v Speaker 1>again was a fucking just thing of beauty, and the

<v Speaker 1>crowd again super invested in this, hanging on to every

<v Speaker 1>near fall chanting this is awesome. They were fully invested

<v Speaker 1>in this match. Evans headed to the apron for a springboard.

<v Speaker 1>He miscalculated, though, and he ended up in the corner.

<v Speaker 1>After a roll through. Sammy immediately made him pay. As

<v Speaker 1>he turned around, he ate a Halluva kick and Sammy

<v Speaker 1>followed that with a blue thunderbomb for the Wind to

<v Speaker 1>retain the championship. After the match was over, Sammy congratulated

<v Speaker 1>the kid. He is still a kid twenty one years old.

<v Speaker 1>I mean by w w E standard, look at look

<v Speaker 1>at the fucking roster. Most of the top names on

<v Speaker 1>the roster or at least forty five. I feel like

<v Speaker 1>forty two forty five forty eight. So by those standards, yes,

<v Speaker 1>he's a kid, even though he is a grown adult.

<v Speaker 1>But when you compare to the other people on this roster,

<v Speaker 1>it's okay to call him a kid. But he got

<v Speaker 1>the fans to cheer for him. I don't think Sammy

<v Speaker 1>needed to work too hard to get the people to

<v Speaker 1>do that. I think they were cheering for him anyway.

<v Speaker 1>Let me just say that Halluva kick into a Blue

<v Speaker 1>thunderbomb at the finish there. That needs to be a

<v Speaker 1>permanent thing going forward. I love the idea that the

<v Speaker 1>Halluva kick is the immediate setup to the blue thunderbomb

<v Speaker 1>and that being finish. I really hope that becomes a

<v Speaker 1>thing with Sammy going forward. This was a hell of

<v Speaker 1>a match. That's now four straight weeks. He did it

<v Speaker 1>with Sina, he did it with Mellow, he had that

<v Speaker 1>great match with Ray Phoenix. Here tonight with Javon Evans.

<v Speaker 1>This US title Open challenge has been the highlight of

<v Speaker 1>the night on this show, and this was also a

<v Speaker 1>nice follow up to the little interaction that these two

<v Speaker 1>had backstage at the NXT homecoming show when Sammy gave

<v Speaker 1>Evans a little pep talk in the back. So that

<v Speaker 1>was was that a week ago, two weeks ago, So

<v Speaker 1>this was a nice little follow up to that. Evans

<v Speaker 1>as a prospect, obviously, the company has very high hopes

<v Speaker 1>for him. Michael Cole on commentary during this match, actually

<v Speaker 1>said he's a future WWE champion. I'm not going to

<v Speaker 1>sit here and tell you that he's a future WWE

<v Speaker 1>champion just yet. Does he have the potential to be

<v Speaker 1>that big? He has the potential. Absolutely. He's still only

<v Speaker 1>twenty one years old, which is pretty incredible when you

<v Speaker 1>consider the body of work. He's already put together an

<v Speaker 1>NXT and he's had the chance to work with a

<v Speaker 1>bunch of different people, wrestled Randy Orton right that he

<v Speaker 1>was the handpicked opponent for Randy Orton when Randy Orton

<v Speaker 1>wrestled on that one episode of NXT in Saint Louis

<v Speaker 1>last year. He had that program with Ethan Page, he

<v Speaker 1>had that great match with Oba Femei not that long ago.

<v Speaker 1>So he's very very impressive. When you watch him in

<v Speaker 1>the ring. There are certain people like they get good

<v Speaker 1>hangtime on some of their offense. You know, montez Ford.

<v Speaker 1>We saw him on this show with the frog splash

<v Speaker 1>and we know the hangtime he gets on that. But

<v Speaker 1>you watched Evon Evans and he just he makes it

<v Speaker 1>look effortless, you know, when he's flying around or god,

<v Speaker 1>what was it the match with Oba where he took

<v Speaker 1>that just ridiculous bump. He did this dive out over

<v Speaker 1>the top rope and I think he cleared the announced

<v Speaker 1>desk and he crashed and burned. It was just a

<v Speaker 1>hillacious bump. But he just the way he flies around

<v Speaker 1>the ring, and when he comes off with that og cutter,

<v Speaker 1>it looks it looks great. You know, there's a smoothness

<v Speaker 1>to his offense. So he's a lot of fun to watch.

<v Speaker 1>And he's still very young, and he's only going to

<v Speaker 1>grow and get better and you know, cut more promos

<v Speaker 1>and just sharpen his skills. I mean, that's why he's

<v Speaker 1>in NXT right now. And it's too soon to call

<v Speaker 1>him up to the main roster. I mean, let him

<v Speaker 1>cook for a little bit more down there. There's plenty

<v Speaker 1>of other people on the NXT roster right now that

<v Speaker 1>are ready for a call up. When they're ready to

<v Speaker 1>call them up, you know, Javon Evans I think has

<v Speaker 1>to win the NXT Championship first, before I would even

<v Speaker 1>think about calling him up. But he's been one of

<v Speaker 1>the success stories of the Performance Center, so this was

<v Speaker 1>great stuff. When Sammy finally loses that title, this show

<v Speaker 1>is going to be in some real trouble, seriously, unless

<v Speaker 1>they really shake things up a little bit when he

<v Speaker 1>drops that championship and we don't get these open challenge

<v Speaker 1>matches anymore. I shuddered to think what this show is

<v Speaker 1>going to look like. In the back, Nya Jax was

<v Speaker 1>walking when Chelsea Green and Alba Fire showed up. Chelsea

<v Speaker 1>offered her a spot in her Secret Hervice because they're

<v Speaker 1>down a member. For those who don't know, Piper Niven

<v Speaker 1>is injured and Piper Niven has a neck injury, and

<v Speaker 1>apparently it's a pretty serious neck injury, and they are

<v Speaker 1>in the process of deciding how this neck injury is

<v Speaker 1>going to be treated, whether it's going to be surgery

<v Speaker 1>or rehab. But we're not going to be seeing Piper

<v Speaker 1>Niven for a while, so we need a new agent,

<v Speaker 1>I guess. In the Secret Hervis Nya Jax was not

<v Speaker 1>interested in joining the Secret hervist, so the paper that

<v Speaker 1>they handed her she tore them up. She walked away

<v Speaker 1>and she ran into Stephanie Vicaire and Stephanie wished her

<v Speaker 1>good luck. Nia says that she could drop her right now,

<v Speaker 1>but she would rather wait for crown jewel. Elsewhere in

<v Speaker 1>the back, Damian Priest came upon Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly,

<v Speaker 1>the same guy that he put through a wall on

<v Speaker 1>last week's show. That's why Kit Wilson was in a

<v Speaker 1>wheelchair and he's sitting there. I mean again, I love

<v Speaker 1>the idea that this man is sitting in a wheelchair.

<v Speaker 1>They flew him into work. This man was injured on

<v Speaker 1>the job, thrown through a wall. He's in a wheelchair.

<v Speaker 1>You got to come to work. You can't wrestle, but

<v Speaker 1>you got to come to work. And we'll just sit

<v Speaker 1>you in a little corner in the backstage area and

<v Speaker 1>you could sit there just ranting about toxic masculinity. This

<v Speaker 1>is what Damian Priest came upon in the back. So

<v Speaker 1>Priest is he's being told, you know you're toxic. You're toxic.

<v Speaker 1>So Priest starts to sort of menace him like he's

<v Speaker 1>about to do something to him, and we got some

<v Speaker 1>comedy here. Kit Wilson, he had gotten up. He went

<v Speaker 1>to go turn to run away. He did a pratt fall. Haha,

<v Speaker 1>it's funny. He did a pratt fall, and then Priest

<v Speaker 1>tells him bitches be tripping. Then we hear a voice.

<v Speaker 1>It's Alistair Black, the man the Priest is actually looking for,

<v Speaker 1>and Damien turns around right into a Black mass. Kick

<v Speaker 1>down goes Damian Priest. Black says that he and Priest

<v Speaker 1>might do this until only one man is left standing,

<v Speaker 1>and then he wishes Priest a happy birthday in a

<v Speaker 1>very sarcastic way. Well, gee, I wonder what that means.

<v Speaker 1>The stipulation of their next match is going to be Gee,

<v Speaker 1>I wonder what kind of match could it possibly be?

<v Speaker 1>It is Damian Priest's birthday, by the way, Happy birthday,

<v Speaker 1>Damian Priest, forty three years old. Today. They closed the

<v Speaker 1>show with the triple Threat match for the WWE Women's Championship.

<v Speaker 1>It was Tiffany Stratton defending against Naya Jacks and Jade Cargill.

<v Speaker 1>The match started off with Naya throwing Tiffany into Jade.

<v Speaker 1>The champion struck back with a double dropkick to both

<v Speaker 1>women and they went to a commercial break. We were

<v Speaker 1>a minute into this match, and they went to a

<v Speaker 1>commercial break. They came back with Tiffany flying out on

<v Speaker 1>Tenaya with a suicide dive that did not land well

<v Speaker 1>because her legs hit the ropes on the way out. Thankfully,

<v Speaker 1>she didn't land on her head like she did when

<v Speaker 1>she hit that moon salt outside the ring a couple

<v Speaker 1>weeks ago and looked like she can cussed herself. I

<v Speaker 1>don't know if she actually can cussed herself or they

<v Speaker 1>were worried that she did, but that's why we didn't

<v Speaker 1>see her wrestle at Wressell Palooza. Later in the match,

<v Speaker 1>Stratton headed to the top rope. She hit swanton bomb

<v Speaker 1>on Tanaya, but immediately got put down by a super

<v Speaker 1>kick from Jade, which ended up actually making her fall

<v Speaker 1>backwards on top of Naya. She had her pin, but

<v Speaker 1>Nya kicked out. As Nya kicked out, we got yet

<v Speaker 1>another commercial break. Jade and Tiffany. They teamed up to

<v Speaker 1>deliver a double superplex to Nya off the ropes, and

<v Speaker 1>when Nia is still recovering it, Stratton took Cargil down

<v Speaker 1>with her rolling sent on, but then she connected on

<v Speaker 1>the prettiest moonsalt ever to Nya, who was still down.

<v Speaker 1>Jade had moved out of the way. Otherwise both women

<v Speaker 1>would have eaten the moon salt, so she was able

<v Speaker 1>to avoid it. Jade easily was able to break up

<v Speaker 1>the pen attempt. Stratton countered Cargill's power bomb into a

<v Speaker 1>Hurrican Rana, and as Tiffany ran towards Jade in the corner,

<v Speaker 1>she got caught. She was promptly dropped with a modified Jaded.

<v Speaker 1>She got a one, she got a two. Nia comes

<v Speaker 1>over and saved the match by pulling the referee out

<v Speaker 1>of the ring at the very last second. Outside the ring.

<v Speaker 1>Now Jade is angry, and Jade is outside the ring.

<v Speaker 1>She clears off the announced desk, but she got thrown

<v Speaker 1>into the steel steps by Nia. And when I tell

<v Speaker 1>you that Jade Cargill ate the stairs, she ate the stairs.

<v Speaker 1>And this is where she came up very badly busted open.

<v Speaker 1>And this is where the finish of this match. The

<v Speaker 1>finishing sequence of this match totally fell apart from this

<v Speaker 1>point on. And I can make a joke about Naya

<v Speaker 1>Jacks injuring somebody. I will say, though that we have

<v Speaker 1>not heard any stories about that recently. That was certainly

<v Speaker 1>a storyline of her last run in the company. I

<v Speaker 1>think she's been on her best behavior over the last

<v Speaker 1>year year and a half. We don't hear too many

<v Speaker 1>stories about Naya Jacks, you know, injuring people, and she's

<v Speaker 1>had some really good TV matches, so it's been a

<v Speaker 1>while since we've heard about Naya hurting somebody in the ring.

<v Speaker 1>But it was almost as if she was making up

<v Speaker 1>for lost time here, because it wasn't just that Jade

<v Speaker 1>got hurt. She was badly busted open. She had like

<v Speaker 1>a fucking gash right above her eyebrow, blood pouring out

<v Speaker 1>on the floor everywhere, and she didn't notice it at first,

<v Speaker 1>But when she finally noticed that, she smiled and she

<v Speaker 1>looked over at Booker T and the announcers and made

<v Speaker 1>a comment to go about how I made her bleed.

<v Speaker 1>And so Nya was She cleared off the top part

<v Speaker 1>of the steps, so we had the flat part and

<v Speaker 1>she was gonna do some sort of souplex from the steps.

<v Speaker 1>Jade countered by getting her on her shoulders and she

<v Speaker 1>dropped her with a samoan drop on the flat part

<v Speaker 1>of the ring steps. Jade was then shown, I mean

<v Speaker 1>the camera was right up in her face. They didn't

<v Speaker 1>shy away from this. That's how you could see how

<v Speaker 1>bad the cut was. And then they had more of

<v Speaker 1>a wide shot with the hardcam. The referee was checking

<v Speaker 1>on the cut and the match kind of stalled out

<v Speaker 1>here for about I don't know, ten fifteen seconds in

<v Speaker 1>the ring, Nya got dropped by an eye of the

<v Speaker 1>storm from Jade, which is one of her signature moves.

<v Speaker 1>So Jade had the match won and she's sitting on

<v Speaker 1>top of Naya. Tiffany Stratton was supposed to break up

<v Speaker 1>the pin. Tiffany was late. You could even see, I

<v Speaker 1>think naive and looked over and could tell she wasn't

<v Speaker 1>gonna make it in time. So Nya was not supposed

<v Speaker 1>to kick out on her own, but she had no choice, right,

<v Speaker 1>you got improvise, So she kicked out. And as soon

<v Speaker 1>as she kicked out, now Tiffany comes in with a dropkick,

<v Speaker 1>and she dropped kicks Jade and then she covers Nya.

<v Speaker 1>She was going to steal the pin to retain the title,

<v Speaker 1>so she covers Naya and the referee Daphne Lashawn. She

<v Speaker 1>drops down, she counts one, and she counts two and

<v Speaker 1>then she pulls up her count, and I'm watching Naya.

<v Speaker 1>Her shoulders are down, Tiffany's got the leg hooked. Nobody interfear,

<v Speaker 1>nobody grabbed the referee. Jade is Jade's I don't know

<v Speaker 1>where Jade is. Jade's drowning at a pool of her

<v Speaker 1>own blood. She just held up the count. I don't

<v Speaker 1>know what happened. I don't know if she was of

<v Speaker 1>the impression that there was another spot coming, she got confused,

<v Speaker 1>whatever the case was. The wrestler's sure working use. The

<v Speaker 1>crowd was confused, the announcers were confused. I was confused,

<v Speaker 1>and she, I'm sure, felt like total shit as the

<v Speaker 1>wrestlers are looking at her, going what happened? I don't know.

<v Speaker 1>The phantom kickout from Naya Jacks, I mean this, you

<v Speaker 1>could just hear the crowd it was. It was so awful.

<v Speaker 1>The air just got sucked out of this crowd. It's

<v Speaker 1>like the finish and again, I don't want to make

<v Speaker 1>it sound like this was the only botch of the match,

<v Speaker 1>Like this whole finishing sequence was just botchtastic. It's like

<v Speaker 1>the finishing sequence of the match was already sick, and

<v Speaker 1>then this spot here, the phantom kickout just killed it dead.

<v Speaker 1>That was just the death blow that put it out

<v Speaker 1>of its misery. So now what do we do right, Well,

<v Speaker 1>the easiest thing to do just tell Nia to stay

<v Speaker 1>down and have Tiffany go up and hit her moonsalt

<v Speaker 1>her actual finish. That's what she did. She went up top,

<v Speaker 1>she hit the prettiest Moonsalt ever and she got the

<v Speaker 1>three counts to retain the title, which was the right outcome.

<v Speaker 1>Would have been the right outcome even if the referee

<v Speaker 1>had counted it like a shoot, because again Tiffany would

<v Speaker 1>have won, but it was the right outcome. There was

<v Speaker 1>no other match with Stephanie at Crown Jewel. I mean

<v Speaker 1>that made sense. Stephanie and Jade, that would not have

<v Speaker 1>been the right move to make. Putting the title on

<v Speaker 1>Jade right now was not the right move to make.

<v Speaker 1>Putting the title on Nya would have been worse because

<v Speaker 1>she hasn't They only just brought her back to TV

<v Speaker 1>recently just to throw her back into the championship picture.

<v Speaker 1>Nobody wants to see that. So this was the correct

<v Speaker 1>move to make as far as the outcome of the match.

<v Speaker 1>And after the match was over, Stephanie Thecaer made her

<v Speaker 1>way down to the ring to get a better look

<v Speaker 1>at her opponent at Crown Jewel, and they each held

<v Speaker 1>up their respective championships. But again, I gotta be honest

<v Speaker 1>with you, I didn't think this match was all that

<v Speaker 1>great even before the finishing sequence. I'm not saying it

<v Speaker 1>was trash or anything like that, but it wasn't that good,

<v Speaker 1>and finishing sequences made it so much worse. It just

<v Speaker 1>completely fell apart one after another after another, you know,

<v Speaker 1>from Jane being busted open the way that she was,

<v Speaker 1>Tiffany being laid on, breaking up that second to last spot,

<v Speaker 1>and then of course the mother of all spots in

<v Speaker 1>this match, the actual supposed finish and whatever the hell

<v Speaker 1>happened there, and I mean that was pretty much the

<v Speaker 1>end of that. So it ended things on a sour note.

<v Speaker 1>But I can't sit here and tell you, man, this

<v Speaker 1>was a great match that was ruined by the referee.

<v Speaker 1>It was not a great match, and then it was ruined.

<v Speaker 1>It was a solid match that was ruined there at

<v Speaker 1>the very end. So the Crown Jewel title matches are

<v Speaker 1>now set. We know it's Seth and Cody, we know

<v Speaker 1>it's Stephanie and Tiffany and do we have any other

<v Speaker 1>matches that are can Oh? Well, yes, CNN, AJ John,

<v Speaker 1>which is the match I'm looking forward to on that show? John,

<v Speaker 1>Cena and AJ styles. Cody and Seth will also be
