<v Speaker 1>Jerry, Katie, and Josh. Yeah, it's the hype time. Let's
<v Speaker 1>get you updated on all the big stories floating around
<v Speaker 1>this morning. I think we should first off dive into
<v Speaker 1>Love Is Blind. And if you're not watching it right now,
<v Speaker 1>it is set in Denver. This season is in Denver.
<v Speaker 1>You can watch it on Netflix. I have been reluctantly
<v Speaker 1>trying to get into this show eleven episodes now to nine.
<v Speaker 1>I made it through episode three ish last night. I
<v Speaker 1>made it about halfway through. I gotta take a.
<v Speaker 2>Break, And what do you think? Like where you're at,
<v Speaker 2>how are you feeling?
<v Speaker 1>So when we talked about this originally when it first
<v Speaker 1>came out, I was like, I'm I'm digging it. I
<v Speaker 1>like the drama, I like the backstories of these people.
<v Speaker 1>I just it's cute, it's fun. As I'm diving into
<v Speaker 1>episode three, I'm noticing two things that are incredibly distracting
<v Speaker 1>on this show is the editing on it. The editing
<v Speaker 1>drives me insane. It's the only thing I can focus
<v Speaker 1>on now When they're in the pods talking and they're
<v Speaker 1>doing these close up shots as they're you know, discussing
<v Speaker 1>theirngths and dislikes. The new romantic go back and watch Katie. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the filter effect that they put on when they're talking
<v Speaker 1>in these rooms of like these light bubbles and shimmers
<v Speaker 1>and a blurred lamp that goes in front of their face.
<v Speaker 1>It's all these dramatic like camera movements. Yeah, through the
<v Speaker 1>entire thing, So through the entire time as they're sitting
<v Speaker 1>there talking to the person in the next room that
<v Speaker 1>they can't see. All I'm focusing on is all the
<v Speaker 1>blurry images going across their face and how dramatic it
<v Speaker 1>is and all these like space bubbles in front of them.
<v Speaker 1>Once you see it, that's all you're gonna see. It's
<v Speaker 1>like a Snapchat filter. It's all you're gonna see me.
<v Speaker 3>And it's funny because it's like you someone who you
<v Speaker 3>consistently edit video and do things like that. So it
<v Speaker 3>caught you off because this is something you do. You know,
<v Speaker 3>like those are definitely tricks and editing that key people interested,
<v Speaker 3>like why do it so dramastic? It does, and so
<v Speaker 3>you picking up on it is definitely like an expert
<v Speaker 3>kind of eye of view.
<v Speaker 2>But you're the prop once you see it.
<v Speaker 1>I've noticed they use the props in the room because
<v Speaker 1>they've all got that drink cart in that room and
<v Speaker 1>it's full of random shaped bottles that are just to
<v Speaker 1>have a clear liquid in it. So it's purely for show.
<v Speaker 1>So they do these camera movements where they're like behind
<v Speaker 1>the bottles, you know, looking at them, and so you
<v Speaker 1>see all these bottles on the screen, I'm like, stop it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>And the wineglasses, right, that's one of their standard, Like
<v Speaker 3>you know, you're watching that show when you see those
<v Speaker 3>wine glasses, and it's funny because.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, and even when they're out in the real.
<v Speaker 3>World, which I won't divulge too much because you haven't
<v Speaker 3>got there yet, but when they're out in the real
<v Speaker 3>world they use those wineglasses, is out at restaurants and stuff.
<v Speaker 2>So it's just so funny to me.
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, oh, you got Bennegan's to use the wine glasses?
<v Speaker 1>Am I the only one that's noticing When they're in
<v Speaker 1>the rooms talking, they've got that little ottoman thing in
<v Speaker 1>front of them. Yeah, that little stool. Every single one
<v Speaker 1>of them puts those wine glasses on there, whether they're
<v Speaker 1>the stem or no stem, and you're sitting on there,
<v Speaker 1>and that's all I can focus on too. I'm like
<v Speaker 1>they're gonna knock that. And one girl did she spilled it? Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>don't put.
<v Speaker 2>Your glass on that thing.
<v Speaker 1>It's all over the carpet. You need to call zeros.
<v Speaker 1>There you go. Okay, full circle. The last thing I
<v Speaker 1>will tell you about love is blind and then Katie,
<v Speaker 1>you can go off because you're all caught.
<v Speaker 2>Okay.
<v Speaker 1>Why are we as a society constantly saying I love that.
<v Speaker 2>Episode three them?
<v Speaker 1>You know what? Deep in? I love that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I love that for us, right, I love that.
<v Speaker 1>I love that for you, I love that for me.
<v Speaker 1>I love that for us.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I started catching onto it in episode three and I
<v Speaker 1>looked over at Nicole because she's watching it with me.
<v Speaker 1>She's like, and I go, count how many times from
<v Speaker 1>here on out that they say I love that? And
<v Speaker 1>I kid you not. Within ten seconds, the woman said
<v Speaker 1>I love that she talk a little bit, and then
<v Speaker 1>the guy went, I love that. Yeah, yeah, I hate it.
<v Speaker 2>It's so funny you bring that up.
<v Speaker 3>I was watching TV last night and a commercial for
<v Speaker 3>a guy in like he had a truck and he
<v Speaker 3>had his labor uniform on, you know what I mean,
<v Speaker 3>Like he's about here, dude, do some construction, huh And
<v Speaker 3>He's like, I love that for them, and I was like,
<v Speaker 3>oh please everywhere, everywhere.
<v Speaker 1>It's on my list now with my journey, Yeah, I'm
<v Speaker 1>a journey. This a journey that, and I love that.
<v Speaker 1>I love my journey, I love your journey. I love
<v Speaker 1>everyone's journey. I love the band journey. I don't.
<v Speaker 2>Believe it.
<v Speaker 1>It's again one of those things when you watching this
<v Speaker 1>dumb show. Yeah, you'll notice the lighting, the spill factor.
<v Speaker 1>And I love this.
<v Speaker 3>Well the buzzwords for sure, because it is younger people.
<v Speaker 3>I mean, I believe love is blind of most of them.
<v Speaker 3>There's a few in their twenties or later twenties, but
<v Speaker 3>most of these people are in their thirty This isn't
<v Speaker 3>the you know, Love Island type crowd where it's all
<v Speaker 3>a bunch of teenagers throwing f bombs down every.
<v Speaker 2>Other word, you know. So it's like it is a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more grown up. But you're right, the buzzwords.
<v Speaker 1>Buzz I love you, I love of them, all of them.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it's it's definitely the guys here.
<v Speaker 1>I can say I don't think I have ever said
<v Speaker 1>that in a conversation.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and I love that serious like you make fun
<v Speaker 3>of it correct, but yeah, you'd never been serious.
<v Speaker 2>Have I heard you say? Oh, I love that for you.
<v Speaker 1>There is somebody that works at a different radio station
<v Speaker 1>in the building, and uh, that person has been in
<v Speaker 1>here and has said, send it right here, love that
<v Speaker 1>for you.
<v Speaker 3>We all try and keep a straight face because we're like,
<v Speaker 3>oh gosh.
<v Speaker 1>I.
<v Speaker 2>Journey and stuff.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you're all caught up.
<v Speaker 3>I am, And again, I don't want to spoil it
<v Speaker 3>for anybody, because those last three episodes just dropped yesterday,
<v Speaker 3>so I imagine there's a lot of people catching up. But
<v Speaker 3>I've been messaging with people and talking about the people
<v Speaker 3>I guess portraying Denver dating on this show, and it
<v Speaker 3>stinks because there's a lot of but it's true, it's accurate.
<v Speaker 3>There's a lot of bad no, no, not bad mouthing.
<v Speaker 3>It's just what's important to these people. And for a
<v Speaker 3>lot of these people, it is money and it is
<v Speaker 3>being taken care of and it's not working hard. It's
<v Speaker 3>finding someone to do all that for you, And I
<v Speaker 3>just I'm not in that mindset. So it's hard to
<v Speaker 3>wrap your mind around that kind of behavior of like,
<v Speaker 3>you know, I want to find someone to marry, so
<v Speaker 3>I don't ever have to work again, and they can
<v Speaker 3>pay for my botox.
<v Speaker 2>Like what, that's a conversation.
<v Speaker 3>So there's a little bit of that, But again that
<v Speaker 3>is just you know, there's there's not all of that.
<v Speaker 3>Not everyone is like that. So there's a lot of
<v Speaker 3>characters on this show. There's a lot of couples that
<v Speaker 3>I am just like rooting for. There's one couple in
<v Speaker 3>particular that I just absolutely adore, and I hope they
<v Speaker 3>make it to the end.
<v Speaker 2>I hope that they get married because I love that
<v Speaker 2>for them. I really want to see them on a
<v Speaker 2>very positive journey.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I'm going to try to continue with this. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, Like I seriously shut off episode three halfway
<v Speaker 1>last night. I was like, I just can't do it anymore. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so we'll see. I'll try to get back into it.
<v Speaker 2>You should.
<v Speaker 3>I mean again, where you're at right now, there's a
<v Speaker 3>lot of still the pod life, and so there's a
<v Speaker 3>lot in.
<v Speaker 1>My once get out into that, I think.
<v Speaker 3>It's a lot of gas lighting in that beginning stage
<v Speaker 3>because you're just trying to tell that person what they
<v Speaker 3>want to hear so that you can.
<v Speaker 2>I will see each other. I don't move forward.
<v Speaker 1>There's a lot of people just up and leaving too.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know any there. Yeah, Courtney just wrote in Jeremy,
<v Speaker 1>if you just ruined love is blind for me, I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna be pissed.
<v Speaker 2>Watching it. Court You're going to focus on Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>It's fun. Anyway, When we talk way too long about that,
<v Speaker 1>why don't we go ahead and just dive into some
<v Speaker 1>more local stuff. What do you got around there?
<v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, yeahh So we've got a few surveys out
<v Speaker 3>of Colorado that some of them not so good, but
<v Speaker 3>we'll wrap it up with the best. One is, first
<v Speaker 3>of all, Colorado carries the most debt of any state
<v Speaker 3>in the nation.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, the most. That just proves why they are looking
<v Speaker 1>for somebody to take care of them in that show.
<v Speaker 3>I know it makes total sense, but in this study
<v Speaker 3>they took into consideration things like your average annual salary,
<v Speaker 3>average house price per square meter, blah blah blah. But
<v Speaker 3>the average Colorado has a debt of ninety five.
<v Speaker 2>And forty dollars. It's almost one hundred grand in debt.
<v Speaker 1>Well done with the now.
<v Speaker 3>Colorado, and that's more than half the personal debt for
<v Speaker 3>the national average. So Colorado We've got a lot of
<v Speaker 3>debt we're dealing with, I know, and that's the caution.
<v Speaker 3>But United States in general, we have a lot of debt.
<v Speaker 2>As a nation.
<v Speaker 3>We are second only to Belgium when it comes to
<v Speaker 3>carrying debt. So yeah, the US people, wawful people. Gosh,
<v Speaker 3>I'll exit, okay.
<v Speaker 2>Colorado is also one of the least safest states.
<v Speaker 3>I did not like this at all, but they're taken
<v Speaker 3>into consideration shootings and how many drivers are insured, and
<v Speaker 3>hate crime incidents and stuff. But this year, Colorado ranked
<v Speaker 3>at number forty four.
<v Speaker 2>In the nation.
<v Speaker 3>And the higher you get on this list the worst,
<v Speaker 3>So the seventh least safe state in the US. And
<v Speaker 3>this is where we ranked last year as well. I know,
<v Speaker 3>so it's just not the best look. But but Colorado
<v Speaker 3>spend the least on groceries.
<v Speaker 2>Looking out of one.
<v Speaker 3>Hundred cheese cheese, yes, Denver, we are number eighty one.
<v Speaker 2>So the higher the better.
<v Speaker 3>In this study, Aurora seventy five, in Colorado springs seventy four,
<v Speaker 3>so we are not spending when it comes to our
<v Speaker 3>entire annual salary.
<v Speaker 2>The percentage of that, it's pretty low.
<v Speaker 3>And they're saying that, you know, Colorado, Denver specifically. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>we have a lot of high income people, and it
<v Speaker 3>says the lower income you go, the more you have
<v Speaker 3>to spend on groceries, which sucks. Like I hate that
<v Speaker 3>story altogether, but that is a good look for Colorados.
<v Speaker 3>At least we're not shelling out as much as everyone
<v Speaker 3>else at the grocery store.
<v Speaker 1>Correct.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, another good look for Denver. Go broncos Is.
<v Speaker 3>Miles has been named one of the most hyped mascots
<v Speaker 3>in the NFL. So they looked at like the number
<v Speaker 3>of online conversations that included Miles's name, the positive sentiment
<v Speaker 3>as well as the negative sentiment.
<v Speaker 2>So Miles is number six out of all the mascots.
<v Speaker 1>In the let Miles number six.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, he's the third most talked about mascot with forty
<v Speaker 3>two thousand online mentions and maintained the fifth lowest negative
<v Speaker 3>sentiment percentage.
<v Speaker 2>Just twelve percent got no of that stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I know who doesn't Miles?
<v Speaker 3>Right?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so Miles, you keep troking you.
<v Speaker 3>But I know rockies like Dinger hates them all though
<v Speaker 3>they're probably really forgotten.
<v Speaker 1>Dingers at home smoking a pack about two bottles of
<v Speaker 1>deep he's chugging some arbor miss this morning Dinger.
<v Speaker 3>You should go to the Great American Beer Fest. Soak
<v Speaker 3>your sorrows in that that kicks off to is it?
<v Speaker 1>Some memories just came up on my Facebook. I was
<v Speaker 1>there eight years ago. It's a fun events. It was
<v Speaker 1>a good time. The best part I've talked about this
<v Speaker 1>before on the show is the necklaces that people show
<v Speaker 1>up with to the beer fest. And we're talking necklaces
<v Speaker 1>that are just completely lined with pretzels and beef jerky
<v Speaker 1>and pretty snacks. Some of the guys were showing up
<v Speaker 1>with like full size like pretzels that you would get
<v Speaker 1>like at Ballerina or whatever. The big doughe pretzels versus
<v Speaker 1>like the bag of pretzels. So they were walking around
<v Speaker 1>with giant pretzels around him or giant just all beef jerky,
<v Speaker 1>which probably smells by the end of the event, but
<v Speaker 1>still but yeah. So you can take all your shots
<v Speaker 1>of beer and everything and try everything and then just
<v Speaker 1>nibble on your necklace while you're there. It's really fun.
<v Speaker 2>It's genius, actually, is it really is. Yeah, that's amazing and.
<v Speaker 1>It's on right now.
<v Speaker 2>It is on.
<v Speaker 3>It starts tonight, goes through the eleventh at the Denver
<v Speaker 3>Coliseum and that'll cost you twenty I'm sorry, ninety four
<v Speaker 3>dollars general admission to get in right now.
<v Speaker 2>We did the research before.
<v Speaker 1>So there you go. Well done, go get your drink
<v Speaker 1>on everybody.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I've never been to that one, but a lot
<v Speaker 3>of people say that that is the one to go
<v Speaker 3>to in the state.
<v Speaker 1>So that's when you you definitely want to uber to
<v Speaker 1>take you know, public transportation have a DD of course,
<v Speaker 1>but it's a good time. It's fine to try all
<v Speaker 1>those craft beers if you're in all that
