<v Speaker 1>Jar You, Katy and Josh six one hundred.
<v Speaker 2>I was reading this story this morning.
<v Speaker 3>According to a new report, the average person has paid
<v Speaker 3>about one hundred and fifty dollars in tips this year
<v Speaker 3>that they're not totally comfortable with. Like you, you know,
<v Speaker 3>tip when it you're not quite sure if it's expected
<v Speaker 3>or not. You're still tipping or you got bad service,
<v Speaker 3>and that's still customary to leave a decent tip.
<v Speaker 2>I guess, so you're still tipping pretty good.
<v Speaker 3>So you're shelling out an additional one hundred and fifty
<v Speaker 3>bucks a year That doesn't seem too high to me,
<v Speaker 3>but I guess you throw that in a compound interest
<v Speaker 3>to count Katie, Oh yeah, thirty years.
<v Speaker 4>It's it is very much like I think in those situations,
<v Speaker 4>you don't know if you're supposed to tip. So a
<v Speaker 4>lot of people over tip because they don't know the amount,
<v Speaker 4>and they're they don't want to look at you looked
<v Speaker 4>at as cheap or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>But well, now on those iPads they start with the
<v Speaker 1>twenty percent you can't do anything. A couple, well, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that's I do. I was at a concert lately and
<v Speaker 1>this guy they you know, you go to the stand,
<v Speaker 1>you get a drink, you get a food whatever. I
<v Speaker 1>got one drink, and I saw him pop the top
<v Speaker 1>for me, turn that iPad around and said twenty twenty
<v Speaker 1>five and thirty percent. And I looked him and then
<v Speaker 1>right in the eyes custom zero zero zero, and so
<v Speaker 1>thank you for my drink. Appreciated, and his attitude completely turned.
<v Speaker 1>He was talking and yapping it up with me, and
<v Speaker 1>then I hit the zeros and he goes, all right,
<v Speaker 1>thank you sir.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, I don't tip it like Starbucks or anything either.
<v Speaker 3>In fact, my little work around with that because you know,
<v Speaker 3>if you go up to the window of the drive through, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>and you pay with a card or whatever, they stick
<v Speaker 3>the thing out and the first thing it says is tip.
<v Speaker 3>And it's so awkward to be like now tap uah.
<v Speaker 3>It's something about being in the drive it's even worse.
<v Speaker 3>So what I do is I go onto their app
<v Speaker 3>and I load my virtual Starbucks gift card on the app.
<v Speaker 3>So all you do is roll up and have him
<v Speaker 3>scan your QR boop, it deducts it and it doesn't
<v Speaker 3>even ask you for a tip.
<v Speaker 2>There's your work.
<v Speaker 1>Around on that.
<v Speaker 2>Mart you well, and honestly takes me out awkward situation you.
<v Speaker 4>Prorist does, Like, I feel like there's a lot that
<v Speaker 4>goes into that. So I don't mind tipping the burriu
<v Speaker 4>to you know, taking a top off.
<v Speaker 1>Of a drink literally removed the list.
<v Speaker 4>That's where I have a problem, Like, come on, don't
<v Speaker 4>tell me.
<v Speaker 2>I need to tip you for doing your job.
<v Speaker 3>And the other one I did the other day too,
<v Speaker 3>is we had incredibly horrible service at a Mexican food
<v Speaker 3>restaurant recently. It was so bad we had to hunt
<v Speaker 3>the waitress down to even get our bill, like we
<v Speaker 3>were walking around the restaurant, Oh where are you? And
<v Speaker 3>it finally came, and I was just so angry and
<v Speaker 3>upset and eager to get the hell out of there
<v Speaker 3>because we had somewhere else to go, Like I just
<v Speaker 3>hit twenty and then bounced, you know, whereas I didn't
<v Speaker 3>even take the time, yeah, to get in there and
<v Speaker 3>be like, you can.
<v Speaker 2>Get a five dollars tip today?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Like, so that's going to add to my one
<v Speaker 3>fifty for the year in tips that aren't warranted.
<v Speaker 2>I guess.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I was just like, it's only out.
<v Speaker 4>It's also confusing. That is something I wish we did
<v Speaker 4>away with just so people had a nearer idea no tipping.
<v Speaker 4>You know, across the pond they don't do this and
<v Speaker 4>it's all just very it's straight lined and you understand it.
<v Speaker 4>Like here there are no rules. So it's like do
<v Speaker 4>you tip twenty?
<v Speaker 2>Do you tip twenty?
<v Speaker 1>Though I'm not a huge fan of that, Like across
<v Speaker 1>the poly you said like, oh, the tips worked in there.
<v Speaker 2>I'm like, I don't. I like that. Sometimes you don't. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it's your standards deserve it.
<v Speaker 4>You know what is up for your you know what
<v Speaker 4>your wallet's going to have to dish out.
<v Speaker 2>I like that. Yeah, sure, you.
<v Speaker 3>Always torn when I have somebody come to the house
<v Speaker 3>and work on stuff, like how much you tip them?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, like do you need to tip them? Do you
<v Speaker 2>slip them twenty by?
<v Speaker 4>Even though that was the thing, like when you get
<v Speaker 4>new tires, do you tip them?
<v Speaker 2>Don't the free rotation? That guy you don't change? Are
<v Speaker 2>you tipping that guy? Like your trash guy?
<v Speaker 4>Do you tip him?
<v Speaker 3>I got a guy come into my house here in
<v Speaker 3>the next couple of weeks to do thousands of dollars
<v Speaker 3>worth of work in my basement. It's like, when he's done,
<v Speaker 3>do I like Hey, here's an extra one hundred bucks school,
<v Speaker 3>you know, or it is like.
<v Speaker 2>Do I just pay the thousands of dollars?
<v Speaker 4>Disgusting me that's ready paid thousands of dollars.
<v Speaker 3>Say hey, here's another Hondo. Go out and have a
<v Speaker 3>few drinks on See.
<v Speaker 1>That's usually the thing, where like while they're working, I'll
<v Speaker 1>be like, hey, I got some gatorade for you. I
<v Speaker 1>got something to kind of kind of be hospitable to them.
<v Speaker 2>Make them some gulash or something. Yeah, that's what I do.
<v Speaker 2>I got some walk here. You got a roast here
<v Speaker 2>in the crock bite you can I make you a
<v Speaker 2>plate while you're working a hot dish? What? Yeah? I
<v Speaker 2>got some Duncan hines here.
<v Speaker 4>You want some
