<v Speaker 1>Sounds Off. I love you so, Mama monster, dude, I
<v Speaker 1>want your soulier woman.
<v Speaker 2>You got grown ass wrestlers in the back going on Twitter.
<v Speaker 1>Come over here is that Pet Patterson? You have legs?
<v Speaker 2>The weekend I was ninety nine percent positive it was
<v Speaker 2>just chessed up.
<v Speaker 1>Now congratulations.
<v Speaker 3>Who hasn't beat Daniel Barcia. This is episode nine thirty
<v Speaker 3>three of The Solo Monster Sounds Off for Sunday, October twelve,
<v Speaker 3>twenty twenty five. I am the Solo Monster. It's been
<v Speaker 3>a very busy weekend and it's not over yet. We
<v Speaker 3>still got bound for Glory tonight, the biggest TNA show
<v Speaker 3>of the year. Mike Santana going for the TNA World Championship,
<v Speaker 3>trying to take that title away from Trick Williams. That
<v Speaker 3>the Hardy's and the Dudleys their final is gonna be
<v Speaker 3>a table man final, table, I think, is how they're
<v Speaker 3>billing it. So we got that coming up tonight and
<v Speaker 3>an early morning raw tomorrow from Perth. Thank you all
<v Speaker 3>for the birthday love this week. You guys are awesome.
<v Speaker 3>I am going to talk about Crown Jewel, the fallout
<v Speaker 3>from that show yesterday, and about that SmackDown show that
<v Speaker 3>I didn't get a chance to discuss from Friday. It
<v Speaker 3>looks like they might be serious about making changes to
<v Speaker 3>that show, which is long overdue. And then I got
<v Speaker 3>a bunch of other notes on NXT and aaw So
<v Speaker 3>we'll get through this and get you on out of here.
<v Speaker 3>But I want to say thank you to everybody who
<v Speaker 3>dropped a dono this week or support it on YouTube
<v Speaker 3>in any way, shape or form. If you would like
<v Speaker 3>to make a PayPal donation, you may do so on

<v Speaker 3>your nickname and a shout out. And I got to
<v Speaker 3>start out with a very sincere thank you to PB.
<v Speaker 3>Thank you for the birthday love, and thank you for
<v Speaker 3>all of your support. It means the world. Also the
<v Speaker 3>patriot Fayaz Kabir with the Monster drop. He's been a
<v Speaker 3>fan of the show for ten years now. First time
<v Speaker 3>donator says, you are the reason why I started podcasting.
<v Speaker 3>I love hearing that. He has a YouTube channel called
<v Speaker 3>Pinfalls and Playbooks, where he discusses weekly recaps in the
<v Speaker 3>wrestling and sports world. So check him out. On YouTube
<v Speaker 3>again it's Pinfalls and Playbooks, and on Instagram it's at
<v Speaker 3>Pinfalls Underscore Playbooks. Fiaz again, Thank you, Man Victory Guaranteed.

<v Speaker 3>Thank you guys so much. Hey, get yourself a free
<v Speaker 3>audiobook or two if you are an Amazon Prime customer
<v Speaker 3>when you sign up for a thirty day Audible trial
<v Speaker 3>using my link audibletrial dot Com slash Solo Monster. I
<v Speaker 3>mentioned this here. I don't mention it every week anymore,
<v Speaker 3>but I mentioned it here because Natalia has a new
<v Speaker 3>memoir that is coming out of the end of this month,
<v Speaker 3>and you can pre order the book for free right
<v Speaker 3>now after you sign up. It's called The Last Heart
<v Speaker 3>Beating and it drops October twenty eighth over eight hours,
<v Speaker 3>narrated by JD. Jackson only when you sign up at
<v Speaker 3>audibletrial dot com slash solom Monster. I try to keep
<v Speaker 3>you guys in the loop when there's a new wrestling
<v Speaker 3>book that comes out. You know Brett's book. I believe
<v Speaker 3>it is going to be dropping a narration and then
<v Speaker 3>another month or two and that's going to be one
<v Speaker 3>to get for free. So I'll keep you guys posted
<v Speaker 3>on that. But go ahead and use that link if
<v Speaker 3>you want to check out Natty's new book. Friday's House
<v Speaker 3>of Glory show was insane, absolutely jam packed, as packed
<v Speaker 3>as I've ever seen it inside the NYC Arena to
<v Speaker 3>see the Hardys beat main event Jylyon and Midas Black
<v Speaker 3>title for title winner take All. It was TNA Tag
<v Speaker 3>team titles on the line, hog Tag Team titles on
<v Speaker 3>the line. The Hardys were there with their new NXT
<v Speaker 3>tag team titles as well, first time we've seen those
<v Speaker 3>in a House of Glory ring, although they were not
<v Speaker 3>on the line. So I mean, think about this, You
<v Speaker 3>had a TNA tag team holding the NXT titles in
<v Speaker 3>an hog ring. Wild times that we live in. But
<v Speaker 3>the Hardys are the new Hog Tag Team Champions. That
<v Speaker 3>makes four sets of belts they now possess. Not their
<v Speaker 3>first time holding them either, They first won them back
<v Speaker 3>in twenty sixteen, so it's been a very long time.
<v Speaker 3>Had that match gone the other way, that would have
<v Speaker 3>caused a pretty big change to Bound for Glory. Tonight,
<v Speaker 3>in the main event between Charles Mason and men like Dereise,
<v Speaker 3>who was the reigning Progress World Champion, we had an
<v Speaker 3>unexpected recreation of one of the most infamous moments in
<v Speaker 3>ECW history when the fans began throwing chairs into the
<v Speaker 3>ring for them to use. That was very scary, but
<v Speaker 3>it made for one hell of a visual. It's one
<v Speaker 3>of those times I'm very happy I don't do commentary
<v Speaker 3>at ringside anymore. So that was insane. And then Killer
<v Speaker 3>Cross made his Hog debut with a win over Matt Cardona.
<v Speaker 3>Zillafot I retained his Crown Jewel title, the only Crown
<v Speaker 3>Jewel title that really matters, over Bear Bronson and the
<v Speaker 3>amazing Red and Leon Slater, the TNAX Division champion.
<v Speaker 1>They tore it up.
<v Speaker 3>Indy Hartwell retained her Hog Women's Championship.
<v Speaker 1>Over Zeta Steel. It was a hell of a night.
<v Speaker 3>And I got to meet a lot of you as usual,
<v Speaker 3>some of you for the very first time. I know
<v Speaker 3>a lot of people were also in town for Comic
<v Speaker 3>Con and came straight over from that. Shout out to
<v Speaker 3>Randy from Brooklyn. He's been a fan going back to
<v Speaker 3>the early eighties WWF, maybe even earlier than that, and
<v Speaker 3>he's a big fan of the podcast and of a
<v Speaker 3>TNT on Tuesdays. So it was great to meet him
<v Speaker 3>and just incredibly proud of my Hog family, not just
<v Speaker 3>all the talent, but all the folks on camera and
<v Speaker 3>off who make these shows possible. The Hardys will be
<v Speaker 3>back to defend those titles. I mean they kind of
<v Speaker 3>have to be now. But first we've got our Long
<v Speaker 3>Island debut coming up on November fifteenth, in conjunction with
<v Speaker 3>the Big Event Expo's gonna be a lot of wrestlers there,
<v Speaker 3>So now kind of like Comic Con this week, if
<v Speaker 3>you're going to be hitting up the big event, you
<v Speaker 3>may as well stick around because that night you get
<v Speaker 3>to see a wrestling show. And then later that week
<v Speaker 3>on November twenty first, we are back in Chicago. Now
<v Speaker 3>I mentioned Zeta Steele, this will kind of blend well
<v Speaker 3>here into our first news item, I mentioned Zeta Steele.
<v Speaker 3>She was the first talent signed to a WWEID contra
<v Speaker 3>last year. For someone as young as she is, only
<v Speaker 3>twenty one years old. She carries herself like a total star.
<v Speaker 3>She just has a confidence about her that really makes
<v Speaker 3>her stand out. And I noticed that, you know, in
<v Speaker 3>doing my research and putting some notes together before the show,
<v Speaker 3>I was watching a couple of her recent interviews and
<v Speaker 3>you just listen to her speak and talk about wrestling
<v Speaker 3>and her journey and all that. I mean, this woman
<v Speaker 3>is a total star and she will be a name
<v Speaker 3>that you see on TV in a prominent role in
<v Speaker 3>these next five years. But she made some news this
<v Speaker 3>week on Thursday when she announced I've decided not to
<v Speaker 3>renew my WWEID contract. I am incredibly grateful for all
<v Speaker 3>the knowledge, experience, and opportunities that I've gained along the way,
<v Speaker 3>but at the end of the day, I have to
<v Speaker 3>do what's best for me now. I talked about the
<v Speaker 3>WWEID program after it was first launched last year. So
<v Speaker 3>basically it provides indie talent with some limited financial support.
<v Speaker 3>Evidently not a lot of financial support, but they say
<v Speaker 3>there's some money involved, and they provide them with that
<v Speaker 3>wwe ID designation. That talent could then use to kind
<v Speaker 3>of market themselves, and promotions can use it when they
<v Speaker 3>promote these talents for their shows. But really what it
<v Speaker 3>does is it gives WWE first DIBs on these talents
<v Speaker 3>should they eventually want to sign them to a proper
<v Speaker 3>contract before anyone else has the chance to do so.
<v Speaker 3>So when you sign a WWE ID deal, you're not
<v Speaker 3>really signing a WWE like a full time deal, a
<v Speaker 3>developmental deal, or a main roster deal. It's basically them saying, Okay,
<v Speaker 3>we see something in you. There could be something here.
<v Speaker 3>We're not ready to kind of sign you full on
<v Speaker 3>just yet, but we have first DIBs and so maybe
<v Speaker 3>in six months, maybe in a year, maybe in two years,
<v Speaker 3>we decide, you know what, we want to pick you
<v Speaker 3>up full time. But it also kind of prevents certain
<v Speaker 3>other places from getting their hooks in on these men
<v Speaker 3>and women if WWE, you know, wants them first. So
<v Speaker 3>you get that WWE ID stamp of approval, you have
<v Speaker 3>the freedom to continue working indies. I'm sure there are
<v Speaker 3>some restrictions on certain places they cannot work. You can
<v Speaker 3>figure out what those places are. But like, if you
<v Speaker 3>start generating a buzz and you continue to improve and
<v Speaker 3>up your game, then chances are they'll probably want to
<v Speaker 3>sign you to a full time developmental deal. So the
<v Speaker 3>program is barely a year old, and I wouldn't exactly
<v Speaker 3>call it a resounding success so far. I don't think
<v Speaker 3>they've signed anyone new in months, and in fact, there
<v Speaker 3>have been several names that have either been cut, which
<v Speaker 3>you know you would expect there would be some over time,
<v Speaker 3>but names that have either been cut or announced their
<v Speaker 3>departure by their own choice. In just the last couple
<v Speaker 3>of months. You know, Zara Zacher just announce that her
<v Speaker 3>WWEID contract expired and she's taking a step back from wrestling.
<v Speaker 3>Kylie Ray recently vacated her WWEID Women's Championship because she
<v Speaker 3>is pregnant with her second child, so they told her
<v Speaker 3>that they're not renewing her contract. Meanwhile, it's been almost
<v Speaker 3>a month and there's been no word on what they
<v Speaker 3>even plan to do with that title. They don't really
<v Speaker 3>seem to be in any great rush to figure it out,
<v Speaker 3>and nobody seems to care. So I get that the
<v Speaker 3>program is probably more of a long term play, so
<v Speaker 3>we'll see how things pan out, you know, if the
<v Speaker 3>program is even still a thing, let's say two years
<v Speaker 3>from now, three years from now. They also pulled their
<v Speaker 3>ID designation from Knox Pro after the Psycho ste incident.
<v Speaker 3>I'm going to have some news on that later and
<v Speaker 3>that wasn't their fault, but that's not the kind of
<v Speaker 3>publicity that they want to be associated with. So a
<v Speaker 3>year in and it is still very much up in
<v Speaker 3>the air as to what kind of success this program
<v Speaker 3>is going to be. There was other NXT and developmental
<v Speaker 3>news this week as well, in the form of several releases.
<v Speaker 3>Now in developmental, there are always going to be people
<v Speaker 3>coming in and going out. That's just of developmental. If
<v Speaker 3>you're not progressing as quickly as they would like, or
<v Speaker 3>they don't see main roster potential in you, they're gonna
<v Speaker 3>get rid of you. Stevie Turner, Drake o' knox, Jamar Hampton,
<v Speaker 3>jin Tala Hayes, Jamison my god, some of these names, Summer, Sorell,
<v Speaker 3>and bj Ray are all gone from the company. Stevie Turner,
<v Speaker 3>I guess being the most prominent, not that she was
<v Speaker 3>all that prominent to begin with, but the most prominent
<v Speaker 3>of them all, and even her, she hadn't wrestled the
<v Speaker 3>match since February. You know, she was used primarily as
<v Speaker 3>an assistant to Ava on NXT, and I think she
<v Speaker 3>was also the general manager for Evolve. So she tweeted,
<v Speaker 3>can't believe I'm gonna get to wrestle again. You know,
<v Speaker 3>none of those names are surprising to me, but one
<v Speaker 3>name that was very surprising to hear about, and that
<v Speaker 3>is wes Lee, Desmond, Xavier, fight Full, and Corey Hayes.
<v Speaker 3>A PWN reported that Weslee was released by WWE. Now,
<v Speaker 3>wes Lee had not won a match on TV since May.
<v Speaker 3>He hadn't worked a match of any kind at all
<v Speaker 3>on TV since July, so it's almost like the writing
<v Speaker 3>was on the wall here. But you know, more recently
<v Speaker 3>he's been aligned with the high Rise Group in NXT.
<v Speaker 3>But you know, at one point he was one half
<v Speaker 3>of the NXT Tag Team Champions when he was part
<v Speaker 3>of MSK. He's a former NXT North American Champion, so
<v Speaker 3>he found success on his own as a single star.
<v Speaker 3>He's a super talented guy. I think he was better
<v Speaker 3>in the babyface role than the heel role, and I
<v Speaker 3>think he had underdog babyface potential on the main roster,
<v Speaker 3>you know. And it's one thing to say that, well, look,
<v Speaker 3>if you're in developmental and you're not progressing as quickly
<v Speaker 3>as they would like for you, too, they're gonna cut you.
<v Speaker 3>Wesley does not fall into that category. Okay, Wesley, if
<v Speaker 3>you tell me, well, you know, Wesley was not really
<v Speaker 3>progressing and the way that they wanted to clearly that
<v Speaker 3>doesn't apply to him. So there was some other reason
<v Speaker 3>why they felt the need to get rid of him,
<v Speaker 3>and unless it was something he requested, and that's certainly
<v Speaker 3>not the impression that I'm under. It just sounds to
<v Speaker 3>me like they decided, we don't have any real plans
<v Speaker 3>for him on the main roster to call him up,
<v Speaker 3>and so we're gonna cut bait and move on. And
<v Speaker 3>I just think that's completely ridiculous, because again, he's an
<v Speaker 3>uber talented guy who I think you absolutely could have
<v Speaker 3>found a role for, whether it was singles or tag team.
<v Speaker 3>So that one caught me by surprise. And there was
<v Speaker 3>yet another release this week. They weren't done yet, Supposedly,
<v Speaker 3>I think Brian Alvarez mentioned there might even be more
<v Speaker 3>coming up this week, but for now, this was the
<v Speaker 3>other release this week, and this time it was a
<v Speaker 3>Bloodline member. Lance Atawaii, the son of Samu, announced on
<v Speaker 3>Friday that he too was released by WWE, so he
<v Speaker 3>did not in fact make it. Meltzer was right after all.
<v Speaker 3>If you know you know, Lance posted this, I am
<v Speaker 3>officially announcing my departure from WWE. I didn't have the
<v Speaker 3>best of lucks since I arrived. I will not let
<v Speaker 3>this stop me from achieving to be great. I've worked
<v Speaker 3>hard on the indies for fifteen years. Now let's get
<v Speaker 3>back to work. Thirty days accepting bookings at book Lanceanoye
<v Speaker 3>at gmail dot com. You know he's not kidding when
<v Speaker 3>he says that he didn't have the best of lux
<v Speaker 3>and signing he signed in November as part of the
<v Speaker 3>NXT roster never appeared on TV, but he actually now
<v Speaker 3>here's a little interesting trivia note. He actually wrestled Shane
<v Speaker 3>McMahon once in a match on Raw back in twenty nineteen.
<v Speaker 3>I'll bet there's a memory unlocked for you. But shortly
<v Speaker 3>after signing last year, he suffered an injury and he
<v Speaker 3>was supposed to be cleared earlier this year, but then
<v Speaker 3>he ended up suffering another injury and that sidelined him
<v Speaker 3>even longer than expected. He still hasn't wrestled the match
<v Speaker 3>since August of last year, so when all the time
<v Speaker 3>that he has been signed with WWE, he has not
<v Speaker 3>wrestled officially wrestled a single match. We had him in
<v Speaker 3>House of Glory for a match early last year and
<v Speaker 3>he looked the best that I had ever seen him.
<v Speaker 3>So when he got signed, I was happy for the guy.
<v Speaker 3>And then he just got bit by the injury bug
<v Speaker 3>and he ended up losing his dream.
<v Speaker 1>Job earlier in the week.
<v Speaker 3>And funny enough, just days after the fire triple H
<v Speaker 3>hashtag picked up some steam on social media, there was
<v Speaker 3>a report that WWE would be making some changes behind
<v Speaker 3>the scenes to the SmackDown creative team because, let's be honest,
<v Speaker 3>SmackDown has largely been a rinse repeat show now for months.
<v Speaker 3>It's fucking boring. It needs a roster shake up as
<v Speaker 3>much as it needs a creative one. You know, the
<v Speaker 3>tag team division, the tag team division really was propping
<v Speaker 3>up the show for many, many months. That tag team
<v Speaker 3>division has now gone cold. Now it's sammy' Zin and
<v Speaker 3>his weekly US Open challenges that are keeping the show interesting.
<v Speaker 3>The women's division is just in dire need of some
<v Speaker 3>fresh faces, and the main events scene has been very
<v Speaker 3>weak now. Perbodyslam dot Net, WWE is said to be
<v Speaker 3>moving forward with internal changes aimed at improving the quality
<v Speaker 3>of SmackDown, which means they even they recognized the show
<v Speaker 3>needs to be better. But road Dog Brian James is
<v Speaker 3>expected to stay on as lead writer, but there will
<v Speaker 3>be additions to the team to make the show more
<v Speaker 3>enjoyable moving forward. SmackDown, I should point out, has also
<v Speaker 3>been hit hard by these new changes to the Nielsen
<v Speaker 3>measurement system, just like NXT and aw Dynamite have been.
<v Speaker 3>SmackDown last week on USA network was down to just
<v Speaker 3>a million viewers. Now, this is their normal night on
<v Speaker 3>their normal network, and they were down to just a
<v Speaker 3>hair over a million viewers, down roughly twenty percent from
<v Speaker 3>the week before. I would say that'll inspire some creative
<v Speaker 3>changes real quick, more than any hashtag ever will. That's
<v Speaker 3>the lowest total the show has done since twenty twenty three,
<v Speaker 3>and that's only because the show that night was moved
<v Speaker 3>from Fox to FS one and they always took a
<v Speaker 3>hit when they moved to a different network. You know,
<v Speaker 3>soon we're gonna have fans online saying the same thing
<v Speaker 3>that they used to say about Dynamite when the numbers
<v Speaker 3>on Wednesdays started to creator no Milli, no Milli for SmackDown.
<v Speaker 1>It could happen now.
<v Speaker 3>One of the changes we saw on Friday, and this
<v Speaker 3>may have nothing to do with creative, but it's a
<v Speaker 3>welcome change and I'd like to see more of.
<v Speaker 1>It, was some old theme.
<v Speaker 3>Music that we got back. The Street Profits got their
<v Speaker 3>old music back, as did Shinsky Nakamora, who returned to
<v Speaker 3>accept Sammy's Ain's US title Open challenge. I would not
<v Speaker 3>read too much into this yet. I don't think def
<v Speaker 3>Rebel have been given their walking papers, but Russell Votes
<v Speaker 3>did say that sources indicate several WWE stars have been
<v Speaker 3>requesting music changes for some time now, and some have
<v Speaker 3>been very outspoken about it, like Drew MacIntyre and Shamus,
<v Speaker 3>and time will tell if those requests are granted. You know,
<v Speaker 3>I would say Shamus needs his old theme song back,
<v Speaker 3>but what good is it if he's never on tea
<v Speaker 3>to actually hear it.
<v Speaker 1>They could give it back to.
<v Speaker 3>Him, but you know, if he's not actually appearing on
<v Speaker 3>the show, it kind of defeats the purpose. The Street
<v Speaker 3>Profits got their old music back only to then lose
<v Speaker 3>to the Wyatt Six in their tag team title match.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe they only got their music back for one week
<v Speaker 3>before they break them up.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know.
<v Speaker 3>But Nakamura answered the open challenge and he did not
<v Speaker 3>win the US title. The match was foiled. It was
<v Speaker 3>ruined by the MFTs hitting the ring and attacking both men.
<v Speaker 3>Toma Tonga is back and he had white face paint on,
<v Speaker 3>as did all of the other members of the MFTs
<v Speaker 3>except for Solo Socoa. But Tomatonga, as expected, was the
<v Speaker 3>one that Solo was referring to when he said something
<v Speaker 3>was missing. Tama was the missing piece. You can put
<v Speaker 3>all the clown makeup on that you want if they
<v Speaker 3>don't take the time to flesh out these characters more.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not going to give any more of a shit
<v Speaker 3>about these guys next week than I did the last
<v Speaker 3>six months. But they did come back out later in
<v Speaker 3>the show to confront the Wyots after the match with
<v Speaker 3>the Profits, and we got Nicky Cross staring down Solo Socoa. Well,
<v Speaker 3>I can't wait for that match. That's going to be
<v Speaker 3>a hell of a match. Tomatanga and Nakamura were not
<v Speaker 3>the only returns on this show. Selena Vega is back
<v Speaker 3>as a heel with her husband Alister Black. She came
<v Speaker 3>out at the end of his Last man Standing match
<v Speaker 3>with Damian Priest, which was very good. She was there
<v Speaker 3>in the crowd for the distraction because they were both
<v Speaker 3>on top of some equipment cases and they were battling,
<v Speaker 3>and it was pretty clear somebody was going to be
<v Speaker 3>taking a table bump here because there was a table
<v Speaker 3>down below. But then all of a sudden, there she is.
<v Speaker 3>There's Zelena Vega, and that gave Black enough of a
<v Speaker 3>distraction to then throw a fireball in Priest's face, and
<v Speaker 3>then he blackmasked him off the cases and threw a
<v Speaker 3>table down below, and he did not respond to the
<v Speaker 3>referees ten count. They don't go to the flash paper
<v Speaker 3>very often in this company, so that was different. At
<v Speaker 3>least he didn't have a Hogan and Warrior moment on
<v Speaker 3>Live TV. I like the pairing, you know, it's only natural,
<v Speaker 3>and it's a different role for Zelena on TV that
<v Speaker 3>I think she could do well in, you know, as
<v Speaker 3>the plucky baby face. She really wasn't getting over you know,
<v Speaker 3>she would come out to crickets every single week. Now
<v Speaker 3>she could still wrestle, she doesn't have to just be
<v Speaker 3>a valet. But I think the pairing will do them
<v Speaker 3>both very well. So there were signs of some of
<v Speaker 3>those creative changes that we heard about. Whether these end
<v Speaker 3>up being good changes or bad changes. There were some
<v Speaker 3>that I think were good. There were some that time
<v Speaker 3>will tell. But you know, the show needs changes, so
<v Speaker 3>let's give it some time and see how the changes
<v Speaker 3>play out. I mean, this is what a lot of
<v Speaker 3>people have been asking for, so you can't just judge
<v Speaker 3>them in one week.
<v Speaker 1>You know.
<v Speaker 3>I'm encouraged that they're at least taking the steps to
<v Speaker 3>shake things up a little bit. Now they need to
<v Speaker 3>focus on Julia and her United States championship and placing
<v Speaker 3>more of an emphasis on that now. WWE held its
<v Speaker 3>Crown Jewel Show in Perth, Australia yesterday. Definitely not a
<v Speaker 3>C show this time. It was an upgrade from Wreussell Palooza.
<v Speaker 3>I thought it was a good show. It was more
<v Speaker 3>in the range of a B plus this time, largely
<v Speaker 3>carried by the John Cena aj Styles match, which was
<v Speaker 3>a match that was just thrown out there with no
<v Speaker 3>story outside of the history that they shared together almost
<v Speaker 3>a decade ago. That in and of itself does not
<v Speaker 3>make a story. But it was just two you know,
<v Speaker 3>legends in the company whose careers are both winding down,
<v Speaker 3>and they looked at the card and said, we want
<v Speaker 3>to just throw something out there that's going to be
<v Speaker 3>a special attraction and get people excited.
<v Speaker 1>That's what this match was.
<v Speaker 3>And I pointed this out of my review since turning
<v Speaker 3>back Babyface right before SummerSlam, John Cena, the guy that
<v Speaker 3>was washed and couldn't hack it in the ring anymore,
<v Speaker 3>has now stolen the show at three of the last
<v Speaker 3>four pls and he secured his one hundredth pl win,
<v Speaker 3>moving him to second place all time behind the Undertaker
<v Speaker 3>with one oh seven. And I loved everything about this.
<v Speaker 3>You know, AJ Styles coming out in the throwback TNA gear,
<v Speaker 3>you know, him wearing the trunks instead of the tights
<v Speaker 3>was a little weird. It's been a while, so that
<v Speaker 3>was interesting. And then John Cena comes out and he
<v Speaker 3>hands a piece of paper to Alicia Taylor and he
<v Speaker 3>wants her to do a very special introduction for Aj
<v Speaker 3>Styles that evidently Aj was not warned about or told
<v Speaker 3>about in advance. He had no idea it was coming.
<v Speaker 3>And his reaction was genuine because they kept the camera
<v Speaker 3>on him as they had Alisia reading off this piece
<v Speaker 3>of paper and it said the definition of total NonStop action,
<v Speaker 3>the ace and undisputed Boss of the Bullet Club. It
<v Speaker 3>is our honor as fans, in my honor as an opponent,
<v Speaker 3>to see if he can beat up John Cena one
<v Speaker 3>final time. He is the face that runs the place,
<v Speaker 3>the phenomenal Aj Styles. It's a great introduction, and I
<v Speaker 3>tell you, you know it didn't really he hit me
<v Speaker 3>at the time, but undisputed Boss of the Bullet Club.
<v Speaker 1>Could that be a.
<v Speaker 3>Reason for Finn Balor to confront Aj Styles on Raw?
<v Speaker 3>You'd think you're the undisputed boss of the I mean
<v Speaker 3>AJ didn't write it, but you know Aj had a
<v Speaker 3>big smile on his face when Sena said it.
<v Speaker 1>Could they use that line?
<v Speaker 3>Of course they can, I don't know if they will,
<v Speaker 3>but could they use that line to you know, create
<v Speaker 3>friction between Balor and aj Or? Does Balor maybe confront
<v Speaker 3>John Cena on Raw next month? Because we're not going
<v Speaker 3>to see John Cena again until Boston on November tenth.
<v Speaker 3>He's only got four dates left Boston November tenth, Madison
<v Speaker 3>Square Garden the week after that, San Diego for Survivor
<v Speaker 3>Series on November twenty ninth, and then Saturday Nights Made
<v Speaker 3>Event on December thirteenth in DC. That's it. We are
<v Speaker 3>down to the final four. I cannot imagine that we
<v Speaker 3>get John Cena on Raw his final Raw appearances back
<v Speaker 3>to back weeks, and he does not wrestle at least once,
<v Speaker 3>if not on both of those shows. So could we
<v Speaker 3>get Finn Balor in the Judgment Day coming out to
<v Speaker 3>confront John Cena. Maybe we get an impromptu John Cena
<v Speaker 3>Finn Baalor match in Boston, you know, or maybe at MSG.
<v Speaker 3>That's what happened with Sammy's Ain, you know, we got
<v Speaker 3>that imprompt two match on his final SmackDown. John Cena
<v Speaker 3>wrestled on his final SmackDown. There's no way he's not
<v Speaker 3>wrestling in Madison Square at least Madison Square Garden if
<v Speaker 3>not Boston.
<v Speaker 1>So I just throw that out there.
<v Speaker 3>They could always use that line to create an issue
<v Speaker 3>between him and Balor, and you do a match between
<v Speaker 3>the two of them. Trying to think, did John Cena
<v Speaker 3>and Finn Balor have a singles match like a PL
<v Speaker 3>match or I guess even a TV matt I don't remember.
<v Speaker 3>I really don't recall. But aj Styles, you know, John
<v Speaker 3>Cena is not the only one who is calling it
<v Speaker 3>quits very soon. We've heard AJ Styles talk about this before.
<v Speaker 3>He talked about it to Tokyo Sports recently because they
<v Speaker 3>have those dates coming up next weekend in Japan. He
<v Speaker 3>had done an interview with Tokyo Sports and he said
<v Speaker 3>that his plan is to retire in twenty twenty six.
<v Speaker 3>He said he's not even sure if he'll be at
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania next year. The belief is that his deal may
<v Speaker 3>be up in the early part of next year. But
<v Speaker 3>I can't imagine they don't sign an extension or something,
<v Speaker 3>you know, and get him to WrestleMania at least.
<v Speaker 1>So if he.
<v Speaker 3>Stays true to his word and he retires next year,
<v Speaker 3>that doesn't mean that we have him for the entire year.
<v Speaker 3>Like he could very well be done in Vegas at
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania next year.
<v Speaker 1>But on the pre.
<v Speaker 3>Show, they had the kickoff show for Crown Jewel on Friday,
<v Speaker 3>and he reiterated his plans to retire from the ring,
<v Speaker 3>and he said on the Crown Jewel kickoff, Look, I'm
<v Speaker 3>getting old, folks. If I could find the fountain of
<v Speaker 3>youth and take a couple of SIPs, I would wrestle
<v Speaker 3>for the rest of my life. But you know, I
<v Speaker 3>am getting older. The fear of embarrassing myself is getting closer.
<v Speaker 3>And you know what, there comes a time in a
<v Speaker 3>man's life when he has to take care of business.
<v Speaker 3>But when business is done, it's time to take care
<v Speaker 3>of his family. I need to spend time with my family.
<v Speaker 3>The whole idea with wrestling and having an amazing future
<v Speaker 3>in this business is to be able to retire one day,
<v Speaker 3>and in twenty twenty six, I will retire. This match
<v Speaker 3>felt like the end of an era in many ways.
<v Speaker 3>You know, we heard about Undertaker and Triple H Helenasell
<v Speaker 3>WrestleMania the end of an era, and it did. It
<v Speaker 3>really did feel like the end of an era, even
<v Speaker 3>though as it turned out, they both continued to wrestle
<v Speaker 3>after WrestleMania twenty eight, so it really wasn't the end
<v Speaker 3>of an era. But here that's kind of what it
<v Speaker 3>feels like I take John Cen at his word when
<v Speaker 3>he says that we will never see him in the
<v Speaker 3>ring wrestling again after December thirteenth. I believe him, and
<v Speaker 3>maybe I'm a fool, because there's been so many people
<v Speaker 3>in wrestling that have said that and then they come back,
<v Speaker 3>even just for one match, right many years later. Sean
<v Speaker 3>Michaels did it, and Steve Austin did, although Steve Austin
<v Speaker 3>never officially retired. But it's like everybody comes back at
<v Speaker 3>some point.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 3>If the Saudi money is such that John Cena consume,
<v Speaker 3>not say no, he'll be back one day, right, But
<v Speaker 3>he seems to be doing well for himself in Hollywood,
<v Speaker 3>So I believe that John Cena's final match this year
<v Speaker 3>will be his final match AJ Styles. I tend to
<v Speaker 3>believe him, you know, when he says that he's going
<v Speaker 3>to retire in twenty twenty six. But I you know
<v Speaker 3>what with AJ, I could see him being coaxed out
<v Speaker 3>for a match here and there. With AJ, my read
<v Speaker 3>on it is more, Look, I'm getting old, my body's
<v Speaker 3>getting more beat up. I don't want to embarrass myself.
<v Speaker 3>I have a certain standard I have to live up to,
<v Speaker 3>and so I've decided that before I turn fifty in
<v Speaker 3>twenty twenty six, I'm going to retire and call it quits.
<v Speaker 3>I could see him coming back for a match here
<v Speaker 3>and there, though, right, But it just feels like these
<v Speaker 3>two guys are from the same generation. They both got
<v Speaker 3>their start around the same time, Aj a little before
<v Speaker 3>Sena but not too much. And now here we are,
<v Speaker 3>you know, twenty plus years later, twenty five years later,
<v Speaker 3>whatever it's been, and you know, they have one foot
<v Speaker 3>out the door and their careers are winding down, and
<v Speaker 3>so this was their last chance to get in the
<v Speaker 3>ring together and rekindle some of that magic that they
<v Speaker 3>had during that feud in twenty sixteen, because the matches
<v Speaker 3>they had back then, and they had three very prominent
<v Speaker 3>singles matches on pay per views pls, whatever you want
<v Speaker 3>to call them, and then a television match on SmackDown
<v Speaker 3>that was very good in twenty eighteen. You know, they
<v Speaker 3>came into this all knotted up a two wins apiece.
<v Speaker 3>Could they recapture that magic right the way that Sena
<v Speaker 3>and Punk kind of did when they wrestled back in June?
<v Speaker 3>You know, could Styles and Scena do the same thing here,
<v Speaker 3>and the answer is yes. Now, it was a very
<v Speaker 3>different type of match because in this match here, they
<v Speaker 3>were basically paying tribute to all of the people that
<v Speaker 3>they have wrestled in the past over their career that
<v Speaker 3>have helped kind of bring them to the point that
<v Speaker 3>they are here in their careers. So you had John
<v Speaker 3>Cena using a skull crushing finale right with a little
<v Speaker 3>hat tip to the Miz And you had him using
<v Speaker 3>a camel clutch which was a hat to the Accolade
<v Speaker 3>and russev and their WrestleMania match back in twenty fifteen.
<v Speaker 3>And the big one was John Cena using his sister Abigail,
<v Speaker 3>including kissing aj on the forehead just like Bray Wyatt
<v Speaker 3>used to do that. I mean, the place went nuts
<v Speaker 3>and they got a great near fall out of it,
<v Speaker 3>and the fans took their phones out and the fireflies,
<v Speaker 3>and they had this moment where Sena was sitting there
<v Speaker 3>and he looked around and he kind of looked up
<v Speaker 3>at the heavens and he kind of nodded.
<v Speaker 1>It was like this.
<v Speaker 3>Really cool, really emotional moment, you know. And they got
<v Speaker 3>to work together several times as well. A couple of
<v Speaker 3>WrestleManias actually, and then Sena did some Randy Orton moves,
<v Speaker 3>including an RKO and everybody popped styles. He was busting
<v Speaker 3>out some moves too. You know, he used the Shawn
<v Speaker 3>Michael sweet Chin music. Now he never got to work
<v Speaker 3>with Shawn Michaels. I know he very much wanted to.
<v Speaker 3>He just never got that chance. What a match that
<v Speaker 3>would have been. But you know, he used the stinging
<v Speaker 3>Scorpion death drop and the Coquina clutch from Samoa Joe.
<v Speaker 3>Michael Cole never mentioned Samoa Joe, but he did say
<v Speaker 3>Cokina clutch. He hit an Angel's Wings as a tribute
<v Speaker 3>to Christopher Daniels and then a dead eye fade to
<v Speaker 3>black as a tribute to Frankie Kazari. And I mean
<v Speaker 3>there was other stuff too, Undertaker, the choke slam that
<v Speaker 3>Sena did to him, and the fans wanted seeing it
<v Speaker 3>to do a six P one nine, which would have
<v Speaker 3>been hilarious, and that got cut off.
<v Speaker 1>So that was.
<v Speaker 3>Really the majority of the match was that. And I'm
<v Speaker 3>sure some people will look at that and go, wow,
<v Speaker 3>this sucks. I don't know why people, because I already
<v Speaker 3>saw some comments under the YouTube video. I don't understand
<v Speaker 3>why people think this match was good. It was just
<v Speaker 3>stealing other people's moves and it was finisher spam. And
<v Speaker 3>I said this in my review. If it was almost
<v Speaker 3>anybody else, if Cody Rhoades and Seth Rollins had gone
<v Speaker 3>out there and they had this kind of a match
<v Speaker 3>where all they did was just steal and spam moves
<v Speaker 3>from other people and get near falls, right, that probably
<v Speaker 3>would have turned me off. But in this case, I
<v Speaker 3>don't mind it. You know, it was it was just
<v Speaker 3>the atmosphere and the circumstances around this match. I could
<v Speaker 3>tell why they were doing what they were doing, and
<v Speaker 3>they were having fun doing it. The fans were having
<v Speaker 3>fun doing it. We don't have a whole lot of
<v Speaker 3>time left to see these guys in the ring, you know,
<v Speaker 3>and seen it. Now finally, in this retirement run, after
<v Speaker 3>so much wasted time, is able to go out there
<v Speaker 3>and have fun with it in a way that he
<v Speaker 3>wasn't able.
<v Speaker 1>To before because he had to be the heel and
<v Speaker 1>he had to be scared.
<v Speaker 3>He had to kick people in the dick and hit
<v Speaker 3>him in the head with the belt and it was
<v Speaker 3>fucking terrible. So I don't mind it, it added to
<v Speaker 3>the match, it made it a very fun match. And
<v Speaker 3>the other thing also, And I can't believe I didn't
<v Speaker 3>pick up on this, because I definitely noticed it in
<v Speaker 3>their Royal Rumble match in twenty seventeen when Sena one
<v Speaker 3>number sixteen, they had that great match at the Alamodome.
<v Speaker 3>One of the great things about that match is that
<v Speaker 3>they never left the ring. They went to the apron
<v Speaker 3>right styles would go to the apron to do the
<v Speaker 3>phenomenal form, but they never left the ring. They didn't
<v Speaker 3>go out outside and use weapons and garbage and plunder
<v Speaker 3>and do table spots on the announced desk and pick
<v Speaker 3>up the ring steps and go through the timekeeper's barricade
<v Speaker 3>and all the bullshit that we see in every fucking
<v Speaker 3>match in wrestling these days. It's so fucking overdone. They
<v Speaker 3>didn't do any of that. Like the Rumble match, they
<v Speaker 3>kept it in the ring. They never left the ring
<v Speaker 3>a single time in that entire match. I can't believe
<v Speaker 3>I didn't notice it. But that's just one of those
<v Speaker 3>little things about it that just makes it even better
<v Speaker 3>to me, because there's just such an over reliance on
<v Speaker 3>all of this other stuff, and there's a place for it,
<v Speaker 3>but when everybody does it in every single match, it
<v Speaker 3>just gets very old. They didn't have to rely on that,
<v Speaker 3>so they had a great match. John Ceno won as
<v Speaker 3>I expected him to. They hugged and embraced and it
<v Speaker 3>was just, you know, this great moment and it was
<v Speaker 3>easily the highlight of the night. It was the best
<v Speaker 3>thing on the entire show. The show was not a
<v Speaker 3>bad show if you take this match out, but it
<v Speaker 3>was not nearly as good if you take this match out.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 3>Also, let me point out John, there's some news here.
<v Speaker 3>This comes from Dave Meltzer and The Observer this past week,
<v Speaker 3>John Cena has his final match coming up Saturday Night's
<v Speaker 3>main event December thirteenth. According to Meltzer, we now know
<v Speaker 3>who his final opponent is going to be, and according
<v Speaker 3>to him, according to current plans, the plan is for
<v Speaker 3>Gunther to wrestle John Cena in his final match, he says.
<v Speaker 3>Multiple WWE sources confirm the name this past week, with
<v Speaker 3>two saying that the current plan is for the company
<v Speaker 3>to build it up by announcing a tournament where the
<v Speaker 3>winner would face John Cena. Says, keep in mind plans
<v Speaker 3>chained frequently but we also got a storyboard which listed
<v Speaker 3>the goals of where they are going on some of
<v Speaker 3>the major shows, and the only match listed for that
<v Speaker 3>Saturday Night's main event was John Cena against Gunther. Now
<v Speaker 3>that doesn't mean that that will be the only match
<v Speaker 3>on that show. The Saturday Nights main event shows are
<v Speaker 3>usually two hours. This is these next two will be
<v Speaker 3>interesting thing to see if that changes, if they go
<v Speaker 3>a little bit longer, just because they're not on NBC
<v Speaker 3>anymore the show. I don't know how it is internationally,
<v Speaker 3>but in the US going forward they will only be
<v Speaker 3>on Peacock, so I'm hoping we don't have the same,
<v Speaker 3>you know, onslaught of commercials in the middle of the
<v Speaker 3>matches like we used to have on NBC. So I
<v Speaker 3>don't know how that might affect the length of the show,
<v Speaker 3>if it's going to be longer, if it's going to be,
<v Speaker 3>you know, shorter, I don't I can't imagine it's shorter,
<v Speaker 3>So I don't know. I'm sure there will be at
<v Speaker 3>least a couple of other matches on that show. I
<v Speaker 3>can understand logistically if it's not really feasible to just
<v Speaker 3>have John Cena against Gunther and then fill the rest
<v Speaker 3>of the show up with tributes. I would not, you know,
<v Speaker 3>put together a full card for that show. You know
<v Speaker 3>it should be seen a Gunther and if you want
<v Speaker 3>to have maybe two other big matches, I would just
<v Speaker 3>keep it at that. But if the plan is seen
<v Speaker 3>it in Gunther, I like it. I was floating two
<v Speaker 3>names for months as far as a potential final opponent
<v Speaker 3>for John Cena, Gunther or Drew McIntyre. I would be
<v Speaker 3>fine with either one of those. And somebody on the
<v Speaker 3>stream last night asked me about, well, what if John
<v Speaker 3>Cena taps out to Gunther, and I said that would
<v Speaker 3>be a bad idea. I don't see that happening, And
<v Speaker 3>it doesn't make any sense either, because John Cena, his
<v Speaker 3>whole mantra has been never give up as a heel.
<v Speaker 3>If he was still playing heel, him giving up, that
<v Speaker 3>would have made sense, but he's a babyface now and
<v Speaker 3>I don't even think people want to see John Cena
<v Speaker 3>lose in that final match, even though I think he will.
<v Speaker 3>But him giving up or him tapping out a it
<v Speaker 3>doesn't make sense, and B I just think it's.
<v Speaker 1>A bad idea. Now.
<v Speaker 3>What I can see is, let's say Gunther putting him
<v Speaker 3>in a sleeper hole, and John Cena just stays true
<v Speaker 3>to those words and just refuses to give up, and
<v Speaker 3>he passes out. And some people might see that as
<v Speaker 3>being anti climactic. I'm not saying that has to be
<v Speaker 3>the finish, but I definitely would not have him tapping
<v Speaker 3>out or surrendering or anything like that verbally giving up
<v Speaker 3>because it just doesn't fit. It doesn't fit the John
<v Speaker 3>Cena character. And I don't think it really makes a
<v Speaker 3>difference one way or the other. If he gives up
<v Speaker 3>or if Gunther puts him out. It's a win for
<v Speaker 3>gun Thro either way. It's a feather in his cap
<v Speaker 3>that he can now go around and say that he
<v Speaker 3>retired John Ceen.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 3>He didn't just retire Bill Goldberg. He retired John Sena
<v Speaker 3>as well. And I was talking about AJ styles. You
<v Speaker 3>look ahead to WrestleMania next year. If they get AJ
<v Speaker 3>to that last match, let's say, and it's at WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 3>I like the idea of AJ and Gunther, even if
<v Speaker 3>you forget the scene of stuff. Let's say gun there
<v Speaker 3>is not John Cena's final opponent. I just would like
<v Speaker 3>to see that match. We've never gotten to see AJ
<v Speaker 3>and Gunther in the ring together, So I actually think
<v Speaker 3>he would be at the top of my list for
<v Speaker 3>potential final opponents for AJ styles as well. Maybe that
<v Speaker 3>just becomes his thing, you know, where he could say
<v Speaker 3>I retired all of these different legends. But I also
<v Speaker 3>think that, you know, he's one of those guys that
<v Speaker 3>you know, gives them an opportunity to have just a
<v Speaker 3>great final fucking match, because I just think Guntherer is great.
<v Speaker 3>So anyway that is from Meltzer, it looks like it
<v Speaker 3>will be Gunther. I don't mind the tournament idea. I
<v Speaker 3>think it would be a good way to bring some
<v Speaker 3>real meaning and value to some of the matches that
<v Speaker 3>we would see on television in the lead up to it.
<v Speaker 3>You know, they did something similar for Undertaker. If you
<v Speaker 3>remember Undertaker's opponent for WrestleMania twenty nine, how they decided
<v Speaker 3>his opponent that year. I think it was a fatal
<v Speaker 3>four way match and that's how CM Punk got the shot,
<v Speaker 3>and that just I just thought that was a terrible
<v Speaker 3>way to go about doing that. And I actually think
<v Speaker 3>the writer who came up with that idea ended up
<v Speaker 3>getting either demoted or fired. But in this case, this
<v Speaker 3>is a little bit different. You know, this is not
<v Speaker 3>just it's another WrestleMania match, it's another Undertaker, you know WrestleMania. No,
<v Speaker 3>this is a big deal. Like this is in many
<v Speaker 3>ways bigger than some of the championships in this company.
<v Speaker 3>You get to be the one to go in there
<v Speaker 3>for the final time against guy who they tell you
<v Speaker 3>every single.
<v Speaker 1>Week is the goat.
<v Speaker 3>Right, he's the greatest of all time and he's the
<v Speaker 3>last real champion. So it's going to be a very
<v Speaker 3>coveted spot that a lot of people are going to
<v Speaker 3>want to fight for. I like the idea if you
<v Speaker 3>do a tournament of having some of his old opponents
<v Speaker 3>in there. There's no reason you cannot have someone like Seamus,
<v Speaker 3>for example, be in a tournament like that. You can
<v Speaker 3>get another Gunther shamous match out of it. You could
<v Speaker 3>have other people too. Me you want to have rusce
<v Speaker 3>Evan there, you want to have Miz some of the
<v Speaker 3>people he was paying homage to in that match last night,
<v Speaker 3>and you build a little tournament around it. You could
<v Speaker 3>even tie it into current storylines. You got the Mizz
<v Speaker 3>and Carmelo Hayes are beefing on SmackDown and the idea
<v Speaker 3>that maybe Carmelo Hayes, you know, one of the younger
<v Speaker 3>talents that John Cena has never had the chance to wrestle,
<v Speaker 3>put him in the tournament and we can get a
<v Speaker 3>Miz and Mellow match out of it in the tournament,
<v Speaker 3>and you know, maybe they end up sort of canceling
<v Speaker 3>each other out. But I'm just using that as an
<v Speaker 3>example where you can use a current storyline. It kind
<v Speaker 3>of feed into this and you can use it in
<v Speaker 3>that way as well. So I don't think that's a
<v Speaker 3>bad idea at all. As far as the rest of
<v Speaker 3>the car we had the two Crown Jewel title matches
<v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins. He had to win this. I mean, there
<v Speaker 3>was no reason for Cody. Cody literally had nothing to gain.
<v Speaker 3>There was nothing on the line here really except the
<v Speaker 3>meaningless championship that we're not going to see again for
<v Speaker 3>another twelve months. But Cody he won last year. He
<v Speaker 3>had nothing to gain. Not only did he win last year,
<v Speaker 3>he came into this up three to zero on Seth
<v Speaker 3>Rollins in singles matches.
<v Speaker 1>Seth Rollins.
<v Speaker 3>They tried to tell this story about I have to win,
<v Speaker 3>I have to win this, and Paul Hayman was teasing,
<v Speaker 3>you know, if you don't win, you're gonna lose everyone's respect,
<v Speaker 3>and that could very well be the end of the vision.
<v Speaker 3>They were really leaning in hard on that. I was
<v Speaker 3>happy that we had a real story they tried to
<v Speaker 3>create at least around this match, because again, the Crown
<v Speaker 3>Jewel title, it might look nice, but it don't mean shit.
<v Speaker 3>So at least this one, unlike the women's match, had
<v Speaker 3>an actual story built around it. Stephanieva Ker and Tippety
<v Speaker 3>Stratton had nothing. It was two baby faces, champion against champion.
<v Speaker 1>They went in there.
<v Speaker 3>They're not on the same brand, so we never really
<v Speaker 3>see them interact, and the interaction we've had from them
<v Speaker 3>the last few weeks was very just surface level, you
<v Speaker 3>know stuff. There's really nothing to it. And they had
<v Speaker 3>a match and it wasn't great. You know, it was good,
<v Speaker 3>it wasn't great, and that was it. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 3>like okay, So at least Cody and Seth had a
<v Speaker 3>little more than that. I thought Cody and Seth had
<v Speaker 3>a strong match. I didn't like it as much as
<v Speaker 3>some people did. This This was one of those instances
<v Speaker 3>where they went it won near fall. Too many and
<v Speaker 3>some of the big moves they were doing, and I
<v Speaker 3>thought they was At some point it dragged for me
<v Speaker 3>and I thought it was kind of dull, and then
<v Speaker 3>it kind of picked up more at the end. So
<v Speaker 3>it was a strong match. It wasn't a favorite of mine.
<v Speaker 3>It was the outcome that I expected. There was no
<v Speaker 3>outside interference from any of the Vision members. There wasn't
<v Speaker 3>any new Vision member. I'm gonna be talking about that
<v Speaker 3>here in a second. But what it came down to
<v Speaker 3>was him using the watch. He wore the watch to
<v Speaker 3>the ring, the watch that Cody gifted him after WrestleMania
<v Speaker 3>last year in Philadelphia when Seth was his shield, and
<v Speaker 3>he thought at first, I don't know. He put the
<v Speaker 3>watch on his fist at one point he was going
<v Speaker 3>to use it, and he's like, ah, I can't. He
<v Speaker 3>takes the watch off and he puts it on the
<v Speaker 3>mat in the corner. But then they came back around
<v Speaker 3>to it a few minutes later and he popped him
<v Speaker 3>right in the head with it, right in the chin,
<v Speaker 3>and he ended up beating Cody with the help of
<v Speaker 3>the watch. So I guess, you know, Cody, Cody didn't
<v Speaker 3>really watch himself. I'm sorry, I guess it. Really, it
<v Speaker 3>wasn't his time last night. All right, that's an I
<v Speaker 3>promise that's the last one. On the women's side, it
<v Speaker 3>was Stephanie Vequerre. She got the win over Tiffany Stratton
<v Speaker 3>to win the Crowns World Championship. This title took up
<v Speaker 3>almost the entire front half of her body. It was
<v Speaker 3>so big just watching Triple h strap the title around
<v Speaker 3>I say around her waist, he trapped. He strapped the
<v Speaker 3>title around her body like it was a fucking bomb.
<v Speaker 3>So on the post show, one of the questions I
<v Speaker 3>had in my review was what's next for Stephanie. I'm
<v Speaker 3>the post show. Stephanie said that she would like to
<v Speaker 3>face Rhea Ripley next and that could be a wrestle
<v Speaker 3>media match. But it's almost like, if they don't go
<v Speaker 3>with Rhea soon, who else do they go with? Right,
<v Speaker 3>So we're probably gonna get Stephanie and riea sooner rather
<v Speaker 3>than later. One of the things I talked about was
<v Speaker 3>though my fear and it may end up being completely unfounded.
<v Speaker 3>I hope it is because Stephanie. I love Stephanie. Stephanie's great,
<v Speaker 3>She's a total star. She's a great wrestler, and she
<v Speaker 3>deserves all the success that has come her way, but
<v Speaker 3>is it too much too soon? Because she got called
<v Speaker 3>up to the main roster and it wasn't very long
<v Speaker 3>and they put the Women's World Championship on her, which
<v Speaker 3>I don't believe they would have done had they gone
<v Speaker 3>through with the original plan for her in Naomi in Paris.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like they would have ended up waiting a
<v Speaker 3>little bit longer, which is what I would have done.
<v Speaker 3>I would have taken my time with it. I would
<v Speaker 3>have built up to it at some point next year.
<v Speaker 3>And instead she had that great match with Eo.
<v Speaker 1>She won.
<v Speaker 3>She's the champ right, didn't even sniff the IC title.
<v Speaker 3>First she went right for the Women's World Championship. Now
<v Speaker 3>she wins the Crown Jewel Championship. She's got a belt,
<v Speaker 3>she's got a ring. It's coming up ass for Stephanie Vicaire.
<v Speaker 3>The problem you run into, though, is you get to
<v Speaker 3>a point where people are going to look at this
<v Speaker 3>and go, you know, she's being shoved down our throat.
<v Speaker 3>They've given her everything, right, what's left for her to do?
<v Speaker 3>And after a while things might get a little stale
<v Speaker 3>and some of the fans. Not all the fans, but
<v Speaker 3>some of the fans may start to turn against Stephanie
<v Speaker 3>and they may start going, oh, man, I can't wait
<v Speaker 3>for liv Morgan to come back, and I hope Live
<v Speaker 3>beats her. We got to put the belt on Live.
<v Speaker 3>We gotta put the belt on this person or whoever
<v Speaker 3>it may be. That's the risk that you run by
<v Speaker 3>doing this if they don't have a really good feud
<v Speaker 3>or story for her in mind. I just I hope
<v Speaker 3>they have something in mind where they come up with
<v Speaker 3>something really good for her to do, because it's gonna.
<v Speaker 1>Get real boring after a while.
<v Speaker 3>If she just won everything and she just keeps beating people,
<v Speaker 3>there has to be some element of struggle. And that's
<v Speaker 3>the thing I worry about. She hasn't struggled. There's been
<v Speaker 3>no struggle at all. There's been no obstacle for her
<v Speaker 3>to overcome. It's just it really does feel like it's
<v Speaker 3>been handed to her, whether you think she deserves it
<v Speaker 3>or not. That's what they've done, and that's great for
<v Speaker 3>her for now, But three or four months from now
<v Speaker 3>are we going to feel the same way. So that's
<v Speaker 3>the only thing I think they have to be careful
<v Speaker 3>of Ria and EO. They beat Oscar and Kyrie in
<v Speaker 3>the tag team match. I thought that was a good match.
<v Speaker 3>Rio was always winning in Perth. I mean, come on
<v Speaker 3>the issues between the four of them. I don't know
<v Speaker 3>about the four of them, but certainly EO and Oscar.
<v Speaker 3>We still have to get that match with them, and
<v Speaker 3>I could see them doing that on Saturday Night's main event,
<v Speaker 3>which is coming up on November first. Bronson Reid got
<v Speaker 3>the biggest win of his career beating Roman Reigns. Absolutely
<v Speaker 3>the right decision to make. I thought it was the
<v Speaker 3>wrong decision back in Paris when they had Roman beat him.
<v Speaker 3>But if the plan was always to come back with
<v Speaker 3>this match and give Read the big win in his
<v Speaker 3>home country, then I'm okay with that. Because he had
<v Speaker 3>to win this match. He had to to go in
<v Speaker 3>there and lose twice to Roman Reigns. It just would
<v Speaker 3>have been death for this guy. It's like, oh, well,
<v Speaker 3>this guy can't, boy, this guy can't win the big one, Caddy.
<v Speaker 3>He beat a man who, outside of Cody Rhodes, nobody
<v Speaker 3>else in his singles match has pinned Roman Reigns outside
<v Speaker 3>of Bronson Reid now since twenty nineteen. You would have
<v Speaker 3>to go back before COVID to find the last time
<v Speaker 3>that someone pined Roman Reigns in a singles match, and
<v Speaker 3>that person, of all people was King Corbin fucking might mean.
<v Speaker 3>My god, that's how far back it would go if
<v Speaker 3>you were to look back at his win loss record.
<v Speaker 3>Now he's in this, you know, very very exclusive club
<v Speaker 3>with Cody Rhodes and also someone who has pinfall wins
<v Speaker 3>over Roman Reigns and Kazuchka Okada when Okada was still
<v Speaker 3>rocking and rolling back in the New Japan days. You know,
<v Speaker 3>I'm not talking about Okada now in aw and so
<v Speaker 3>they are all knotted up at one win apiece. They
<v Speaker 3>could come back and run it back again and have
<v Speaker 3>a third match. Maybe that's a Saturday Night's main event match,
<v Speaker 3>but this was something that was needed also, and Seth
<v Speaker 3>winning was needed because the Vision is going to end
<v Speaker 3>up on the heel side in wargames. I'm sure at
<v Speaker 3>Survivor Series you got to keep them strong going into
<v Speaker 3>that show. Now, of course there's some bloodline drama because
<v Speaker 3>when the match was over, Roman who lost in part
<v Speaker 3>because his cousin jay Usso accidentally speared him through a
<v Speaker 3>table that was propped up in the corner in this
<v Speaker 3>street fight here, and because Reid had help from bron
<v Speaker 3>Breaker who came out, but then the USOS came out,
<v Speaker 3>so in effect, they kind of cancel each other out.
<v Speaker 3>There was actually more out there on Roman's side than
<v Speaker 3>Reid had on his side, and Red still got the wind.
<v Speaker 1>But it backfired.
<v Speaker 3>The usso's interference or the USO's help backfired, and so
<v Speaker 3>that was the real story here. And so when the
<v Speaker 3>match was over, Roman was obviously very upset and he
<v Speaker 3>looked over at them and said, people think I can't
<v Speaker 3>do shit on my own. He goes, I love you, guys,
<v Speaker 3>I don't want to see you though. I don't want
<v Speaker 3>to see you until Christmas. And Jay was very upset
<v Speaker 3>about this, and he's yelling at Jimmy after Roman left
<v Speaker 3>and said, I'm out. You know this is He's always
<v Speaker 3>been like that, I'm out.
<v Speaker 1>I'm out.
<v Speaker 3>So a lot of problems going on right now within
<v Speaker 3>the bloodline, and this will feed into, you know, whatever
<v Speaker 3>we see happen at War Games. Today's episode is sponsored
<v Speaker 3>by Better Help. Life can be tough for all of us.
<v Speaker 3>Therapy has lots of benefits, whether it's coping with a
<v Speaker 3>loss in your life, learning how to heal broken relationships,
<v Speaker 3>or find out things about yourself that you never even
<v Speaker 3>knew about. Better Help therapists have helped over five million
<v Speaker 3>people worldwide on their mental health journeys. That's a lot

<v Speaker 3>just one day. This year, Better Help is honoring those
<v Speaker 3>therapists that help make the world a better place, one
<v Speaker 3>connection at a time. I've used the platform myself in
<v Speaker 3>the past, although my reasons for doing so seem trivial
<v Speaker 3>by comparison when I think of some of the more
<v Speaker 3>serious issues that people have tried to address through Better Help.
<v Speaker 3>But what I can tell you is that even for me,
<v Speaker 3>I found it to be incredibly helpful just to have
<v Speaker 3>someone to talk to, and I appreciated that, and if
<v Speaker 3>it helped me, I know it can help you too.
<v Speaker 3>Finding the right therapists can be life changing, and better
<v Speaker 3>Help makes that process simple. Better Help does the initial
<v Speaker 3>matching work for you so that you can focus on
<v Speaker 3>your therapy goals. You fill out a short questionnaire that
<v Speaker 3>helps identify your needs and preferences, and their twelve plus
<v Speaker 3>years of experience and industry leading match fulfillment rate mean
<v Speaker 3>that they usually get it right the first time. But
<v Speaker 3>if for any reason you're not happy with your match,
<v Speaker 3>you can switch to a different therapist at any time
<v Speaker 3>and all Better Help therapists work according to a strict
<v Speaker 3>code of conduct and are fully licensed in the US
<v Speaker 3>and as the world's largest online therapy platform with over
<v Speaker 3>thirty thousand therapists, Better Help has an average rating of
<v Speaker 3>four point nine out of five for a live session
<v Speaker 3>based on more than one point seven million client reviews.
<v Speaker 3>The numbers speak for themselves. This World Mental Health Day,
<v Speaker 3>we're celebrating the therapists who have helped millions of people
<v Speaker 3>take a step forward. If you're ready to find the

<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 3>I mentioned the Meltzer News this week about John Cen
<v Speaker 3>his final match in Set Nights Made event. There was
<v Speaker 3>a lot of other dudes that came out of Meltzer
<v Speaker 3>in The Observer this week Saturday Nights Made event on
<v Speaker 3>the thirteenth, we already know it's John Sted his final match,
<v Speaker 3>but before that, there's another one coming up on November
<v Speaker 3>first in Salt Lake City, and he says that currently
<v Speaker 3>there are three matches scheduled, with seth Rawlins against CM
<v Speaker 3>punk as the headline attraction for the World Heavyweight Championship.
<v Speaker 3>He says, the other matches are Tiffany Stratton against Jade
<v Speaker 3>Cargill for the WWE Women's title. And I mean, I
<v Speaker 3>don't know what the purposes of going back to that,
<v Speaker 3>but if they're going back to it, that just feels
<v Speaker 3>like it has to be a title change.
<v Speaker 1>Otherwise, what the hell is the point in going back
<v Speaker 1>to it?
<v Speaker 3>And he says the other matches Drew McIntyre against Jacob
<v Speaker 3>Fought two, which is listed as a match where the
<v Speaker 3>winner would get a shot at Cody Rhodes for the
<v Speaker 3>WWE Championship. Now McIntyre against Fat two is actually scheduled
<v Speaker 3>for SmackDown this Friday, so I assume that would mean
<v Speaker 3>we're not going to get a clean cut winner, and
<v Speaker 3>then maybe they run it back at Saturday Night's main
<v Speaker 3>event they say the winner gets Cody for the WWE Championship.
<v Speaker 3>That feels like Survivor Series. And I've talked about this recently.
<v Speaker 3>We talked about this. Coming out of Russell Palooza. There
<v Speaker 3>was a report that Cody and Drew had pitched an
<v Speaker 3>idea to WWE Creative for how to book the finish
<v Speaker 3>of their championship match on that show. And obviously, if
<v Speaker 3>that's true, that idea was shot down or delayed because
<v Speaker 3>that's not how the match played out. But the idea
<v Speaker 3>was a great one where Randy Orton gets involved and
<v Speaker 3>ends up accidentally costing Cody the WWE Championship and the
<v Speaker 3>title ends up on McIntyre. Things are still set up
<v Speaker 3>in such a way where they could absolutely do that,
<v Speaker 3>but do it at Survivor Series, And in fact, that's
<v Speaker 3>the idea that I endorse. Do a title change there
<v Speaker 3>on that show, and you could get Randy Orton involved
<v Speaker 3>in that way where he accidentally or accidentally on purpose
<v Speaker 3>cost Cody the WWE Championship, and then you just go
<v Speaker 3>from there. And even if Drew only has a run
<v Speaker 3>of you know, a couple months or something, it's a
<v Speaker 3>great way to shake things up and make things a
<v Speaker 3>little more interesting and loop it back into this whole
<v Speaker 3>Cody and Randy thing, because the direction has to be
<v Speaker 3>getting us to Cody Roads and Randy Orton. They've given
<v Speaker 3>us so many teases for it that at some point
<v Speaker 3>soon we have to actually get the match.
<v Speaker 1>So that could absolutely work. I like that idea.
<v Speaker 3>He mentions that Survivor Series at Petco Park in San
<v Speaker 3>Diego is listed as Cody Rhods defending against the winner
<v Speaker 3>of that match on Saturday Night's Made Event. He also
<v Speaker 3>says that Dominic Mysterio is currently scheduled for an Intercontinental
<v Speaker 3>title defense against John Cena, which not that we didn't
<v Speaker 3>already know this, but kind of gives away the outcome
<v Speaker 3>of Dom's title defense against Penta in Perth on Raw tomorrow.
<v Speaker 3>But he says that Sena only has limited dates left
<v Speaker 3>and so this will be one of his last, maybe
<v Speaker 3>possibly even the second to last. I guess it would
<v Speaker 3>be the second to last match, right. It would have
<v Speaker 3>to be, because the only other show after Survivor Series
<v Speaker 3>is his last show, so Dominic Mysterio would be his
<v Speaker 3>second to last opponent ever if this is true, and
<v Speaker 3>it would be John Cena challenging for the Intercontinental title
<v Speaker 3>and going for the Grand Slam that everybody seems so
<v Speaker 3>keen on John Cena winning me, I can't bring myself
<v Speaker 3>to get very excited about it. To me, I don't
<v Speaker 3>give a shit like John Cena. They already call him
<v Speaker 3>the greatest of all time. They build him up like
<v Speaker 3>he's this mythical figure seventeen world championships. Who gives a
<v Speaker 3>shit if he wins the Intercontinental title and wins a
<v Speaker 3>meaningless Grand Slam. He's won every other championship, Seriously, who cares.
<v Speaker 3>He's been WWE Champion, he's been World Heavyweight Champion, he's
<v Speaker 3>been United States Champion, he's been a tag team champion.
<v Speaker 3>He's won multiple Royal Rumbles, He's been in multiple WrestleMania
<v Speaker 3>main events.
<v Speaker 1>Have I missed anything?
<v Speaker 3>He's never been King of the Ring, he hasn't won
<v Speaker 3>one of those big crown jewel belts. But he's done
<v Speaker 3>all that he needs to do and winning the Intercontinental
<v Speaker 3>title at this point, I'm sorry it doesn't move me. Oh,
<v Speaker 3>I don't really give a shit either way. I don't
<v Speaker 3>see the need to put that title on him. I
<v Speaker 3>would not book him to win the Intercontinental Championship. But
<v Speaker 3>that's just how I feel about it. I think people
<v Speaker 3>just make way too much about Oh, he's got to
<v Speaker 3>win the Grand Slam. No he doesn't, He really doesn't. Now,
<v Speaker 3>let's talk about these war Games matches. The Wargames plans
<v Speaker 3>as of a week ago on the men's side had
<v Speaker 3>a team of CM Punk Roman Reigns, Jay Usso, Jacob
<v Speaker 3>faugh II, which kind of gives away who would be
<v Speaker 3>challenging Cody for the WWE Championship on that show, along
<v Speaker 3>with an unknown fifth man not yet decided, but it
<v Speaker 3>would be between Jimmy Usso and La Knight. Apparently those
<v Speaker 3>are the two candidates at this point, taking on a
<v Speaker 3>heel team of Seth Rollins, bron Breaker, Bronson Reid who
<v Speaker 3>hopefully stays off the top of the cage this year,
<v Speaker 3>brock Lesner, who will definitely stay off the top of
<v Speaker 3>the cage no shooting star presses in Wargames, brock Lesner,
<v Speaker 3>and Austin Theory.
<v Speaker 1>Yes.
<v Speaker 3>I had to do a double take when I read this.
<v Speaker 3>So the two notable items he says is that even
<v Speaker 3>with Lesner's win over John Cena at Russell Palooza and
<v Speaker 3>the teases in recent you know Cody's recent promo. It
<v Speaker 3>now looks like Cody Rhodes against Brock Lesner is scheduled
<v Speaker 3>at some point. I fucking hope not. The biggest surprise
<v Speaker 3>is Austin Theory's name being involved here. He says Theory
<v Speaker 3>has been out with an injury. They spent a year
<v Speaker 3>plus building a split between Grayson Waller and Austin Theory
<v Speaker 3>that seemed to be building toward Theory as a babyface.
<v Speaker 3>Then Theory was injured and it was just dropped cold.
<v Speaker 3>Now it looks like he's coming back as a main
<v Speaker 3>event level heel when he left as an undercard comedy guy.
<v Speaker 3>He says he is one of those guys who, because
<v Speaker 3>of his look, will get more chances to be a
<v Speaker 3>top guy, even if he's not over like a top guy,
<v Speaker 3>because the powers that be look at him and think
<v Speaker 3>he looks like a star. Austin Theory has a great look, right,
<v Speaker 3>he's in shape. He's just he looks like somebody that
<v Speaker 3>you would pick out of a lineup if you said, hey,
<v Speaker 3>you know who can I put on my poster to
<v Speaker 3>be on my professional wrestling show? Right, And he's a
<v Speaker 3>very good wrestler. You know, he's had some good matches before,
<v Speaker 3>he's got the tools. He just hasn't been able to
<v Speaker 3>put it all together, and Creative has not been kind.
<v Speaker 1>To him either.
<v Speaker 3>To be honest, one of the few people who can
<v Speaker 3>say they got to win over John Cena at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 3>and it was completely wasted. It was a waste of
<v Speaker 3>a John Cena loss at WrestleMania. They wasted it. And
<v Speaker 3>Dave is absolutely right in that theory has been booked
<v Speaker 3>as a I came say mid card as an undercard
<v Speaker 3>comedy guy for the last couple of years, and it's
<v Speaker 3>just a very weird thing that if this is accurate,
<v Speaker 3>the plan is to bring him back in a top
<v Speaker 3>heel role on the show, when the last time we
<v Speaker 3>saw him he wasn't even able to get TV time.
<v Speaker 3>All the segments that he and Grayson Waller had very
<v Speaker 3>similar to The New Day Now, where a lot of
<v Speaker 3>it is like during the commercial breaks and it's off
<v Speaker 3>camera or it's off TV, and this is how you're
<v Speaker 3>going to bring him back. That's a big leap of faith.
<v Speaker 3>It sounds like a big leap of faith that they're
<v Speaker 3>taking on Austin theory. From the same people who had
<v Speaker 3>the power to book him in a much more prominent
<v Speaker 3>position the last couple of years and shows not to
<v Speaker 3>do so. Now we're supposed to believe that, oh, they're
<v Speaker 3>going to book Austin Theory like a top guy. They're
<v Speaker 3>going to book him like a top heel. Triple H
<v Speaker 3>has had the book now for a couple of years.
<v Speaker 3>Color me skeptical that they are that invested in Austin Theory.
<v Speaker 3>It would be quite the turnaround. But if it's true,
<v Speaker 3>that tells me that if they're doing Seth Rollins and
<v Speaker 3>cm Punk, it's Saturday Night's main event. That's where we
<v Speaker 3>get Theory debuting as the newest member of the Vision,
<v Speaker 3>and he costs CM punk because cmpunk is not winning
<v Speaker 3>the World Championship on that show, and we get Theory
<v Speaker 3>added to that group. Jacob Fatu being added to wargames
<v Speaker 3>on the surface here makes no sense, so there would
<v Speaker 3>have to be a storyline reason for him to join.
<v Speaker 1>I suspect there will be.
<v Speaker 3>I was gonna say, Roman turns to Jacob, you know,
<v Speaker 3>a different member of the family instead of Jimmy and Jay,
<v Speaker 3>because he's pissed at them right now and he turns
<v Speaker 3>to Jacob for help and Wargames, but Jay is listed
<v Speaker 3>as being in the Wargames match and possibly Jimmy two,
<v Speaker 3>so that wouldn't really make sense. I would rather them
<v Speaker 3>set up like Brock Lesner against Fatu coming out of this,
<v Speaker 3>than Lesner challenging Cody for the WWE Championship. I have
<v Speaker 3>no interest in seeing that whatsoever, So having them on
<v Speaker 3>opposite sides that could lead to something with Lesner and
<v Speaker 3>fa Tu that would interest me.
<v Speaker 1>Like I'm looking at.
<v Speaker 3>This though, like this honestly feels like a Wargames match
<v Speaker 3>that would be better suited for four on four and
<v Speaker 3>not five on five, just because oh, that's the way
<v Speaker 3>we always do it. It's gotta be five on five. No,
<v Speaker 3>it doesn't. You could do four on four. You don't
<v Speaker 3>have to do anything. You could do it whichever way
<v Speaker 3>you want now, he claims. The women's war Games match
<v Speaker 3>at this point is listed as aj Lee, Rhea, Ripley,
<v Speaker 3>Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Eosky against Becky lynch Oska, Kyrie,
<v Speaker 3>saying Naya Jacks and Lash Legend. Lash Legend getting called
<v Speaker 3>up is something that we have talked about recently in
<v Speaker 3>the Q and a super chat portion on one of
<v Speaker 3>the streams, somebody asked me about potential NXT call ups
<v Speaker 3>this week and her name was brought up. Lash Legend,
<v Speaker 3>just like Obafemi, are gonna make fine additions to the
<v Speaker 3>main roster. But so would Jordan Grace Show, so would
<v Speaker 3>Blake Monroe, so would sol Ruka. Right, take your pick.
<v Speaker 3>You can't call them all up at the same time.
<v Speaker 3>But Lash Legend, had you know from the last match
<v Speaker 3>of hers that I saw, and God was it?
<v Speaker 1>The was the Battle Royal they did at Evolution.
<v Speaker 3>I think she was one of the last ones right
<v Speaker 3>in that Battle Royal at Evolution. She has made some
<v Speaker 3>great strides and great improvements since the early days of
<v Speaker 3>two point zero. All Right, I have to give her credit.
<v Speaker 3>I think that she's gonna do well and she could
<v Speaker 3>be a real standout attraction once she hits the main roster.
<v Speaker 3>Her being on this team again, like the Austin theory thing.
<v Speaker 3>When I looked at this, I had to do a
<v Speaker 3>double take, like, where the fuck did that come from?
<v Speaker 3>Lash and Naya being on the same team. I could
<v Speaker 3>see something happening there where they end up feuding coming
<v Speaker 3>out of it and they try to push lash as
<v Speaker 3>a babyface on the SmackDown side, Like I could see
<v Speaker 3>that visual of her like slowly hoisting Naya up for
<v Speaker 3>like a big body slam and them treating that like
<v Speaker 3>a big deal, Like when she did that with Otis
<v Speaker 3>that one time on NXT and the people went nuts.
<v Speaker 3>Met three hundred people of the fucking PC. But like,
<v Speaker 3>imagine her doing that in front of ten thousand people, right,
<v Speaker 3>they would lose their minds. Becky and aj leading their
<v Speaker 3>own teams would make sense, right, We have to get
<v Speaker 3>that match at some point for the Intercontinental title. The
<v Speaker 3>rest of the lineup that I'm looking at here is
<v Speaker 3>fairly believable, But I mean there's some two K twenty
<v Speaker 3>five stuff going on here with some of these lineups.
<v Speaker 3>We'll see what actually pans out. I'm not against it, though,
<v Speaker 3>you know, this product needs a shakeup and getting some
<v Speaker 3>new names in the mix, or names that we haven't
<v Speaker 3>seen in a while up in higher positions on the card.
<v Speaker 3>I'm all for trying something new, like even Jacob being
<v Speaker 3>involved in wargames with the top names, like that's where
<v Speaker 3>he belongs. They just need to make sense of why
<v Speaker 3>he's there.
<v Speaker 1>Now. One man who will not be in wargames.
<v Speaker 3>I can guarantee you this, And he was briefly gone
<v Speaker 3>from WWE, but now he's back. Is Santos Escobar. PW
<v Speaker 3>Insider mentioned earlier in the week when this whole saga
<v Speaker 3>began here that unless there was a last second hail
<v Speaker 3>Mary pass that leads to him agreeing to a new deal,
<v Speaker 3>Santos Escobar will depart WWE as of midnight. At that
<v Speaker 3>point he will be a free agent and available to
<v Speaker 3>wrestle or sign anywhere he wishes. We are told his
<v Speaker 3>contract expires at the end of the day and that
<v Speaker 3>WWE made overtures to keep Escabar, including a higher contract offer,
<v Speaker 3>but he turned down the offer. So then PW Insider
<v Speaker 3>after that had some more information on what was going on,
<v Speaker 3>and they said from multiple sources that it has nothing
<v Speaker 3>to do with money. Sources within WWE confirmed that the
<v Speaker 3>word making the rounds within the company is that Escobar
<v Speaker 3>was offered a raise as part of a new deal,
<v Speaker 3>but that he turned that down. We are told that Escobar,
<v Speaker 3>according to sources that have spoken with him in recent weeks,
<v Speaker 3>made it clear that he wasn't concerned about getting a
<v Speaker 3>raise as much as he was concerned about having a
<v Speaker 3>laid out plan to show how he would be utilized
<v Speaker 3>by the company going forward. We were told that it
<v Speaker 3>wasn't even so much of a concern about getting a
<v Speaker 3>big push, but about locking himself in when there wasn't
<v Speaker 3>a plan and then being in a situation where he
<v Speaker 3>would be spinning his wheels instead of performing in the ring.
<v Speaker 3>Then on Wednesday, so this like the midnight deadline came
<v Speaker 3>and went and he would have officially become a free agent.
<v Speaker 3>And then on Wednesday, PW Insider confirmed the WWE and
<v Speaker 3>Santos Escobar have come to terms on a new deal
<v Speaker 3>and that he is back with the promotion, just days
<v Speaker 3>after his contract expired. That left the second generation Lucastar
<v Speaker 3>a free agent. We are told that WWE management considered
<v Speaker 3>Escobar's creative concerns and we are told made Escobar a
<v Speaker 3>sizeably larger offer than any of their previous overtures. At
<v Speaker 3>that point, Escobar agreed to terms. The belief is that
<v Speaker 3>they came to an agreement late in the day yesterday.
<v Speaker 3>This would have been on Tuesday. I guess there is
<v Speaker 3>no word when Escobar will be back on the road,
<v Speaker 3>but he is signed with the company once again, and
<v Speaker 3>then per F FOURW online, they said Escobar's new contract
<v Speaker 3>is said to be a very big money deal with
<v Speaker 3>a lot of perks. I haven't seen anything mentioned about
<v Speaker 3>his creative demands is not really the right word, but
<v Speaker 3>his creative concerns being addressed. All I hear is like
<v Speaker 3>they offered him a lot more money in a much
<v Speaker 3>bigger deal and some perks, you know, maybe some time
<v Speaker 3>off or you know.
<v Speaker 1>I haven't heard anything about his creative concerns.
<v Speaker 3>So the question I have now is was the financial
<v Speaker 3>offer so great that he just said I can't say
<v Speaker 3>no to this, or did they, in fact, you know,
<v Speaker 3>put something in writing. I don't know that they would
<v Speaker 3>have put something in writing necessarily, but did they address
<v Speaker 3>his creative concerns? Because I completely understand where he's coming from.
<v Speaker 3>He just wants to know, dude, are you going to
<v Speaker 3>use me in any meaningful way? Like I'm not looking
<v Speaker 3>for a guarantee that I'm going to be the champion.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not looking for a guarantee I'm going to be
<v Speaker 3>headlining plees. But like we haven't even seen him on
<v Speaker 3>TV in months, Like he's been doing nothing, so it's
<v Speaker 3>a perfectly valid concern. I would want to know the
<v Speaker 3>same thing. I'm not saying you have to put pen
<v Speaker 3>to paper and sketch out my next six or twelve months,
<v Speaker 3>But for God's sakes, tell me if you actually plan
<v Speaker 3>to use me in a meaningful way, and if not,
<v Speaker 3>I will go somewhere else.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 3>According to bodyslam dot Net, Escobar was scheduled to defeat
<v Speaker 3>l Eho del Vikingo for the Triple A Mega Championship
<v Speaker 3>before his WWE deal officially ran out at midnight on
<v Speaker 3>October sixth. And I'm a little confused on this timeline
<v Speaker 3>because obviously vi Kingo had already lost the Mega title
<v Speaker 3>to Dominic Mysterio. It's not like he just lost that
<v Speaker 3>championship last week. So when when was that plan? Like,
<v Speaker 3>was the original plan going back a couple of months
<v Speaker 3>for Escabar to win the title, but as he resisted
<v Speaker 3>let's say their contract renewal offers, they decided to go
<v Speaker 3>in a different direction and put it on dom and
<v Speaker 3>dom was the backup. Is that what I'm hearing here?
<v Speaker 3>They say this title win was fully mapped out as
<v Speaker 3>part of Escobar's rise within Triple A following its acquisition
<v Speaker 3>of WWE, he was not going to be alone. Angel
<v Speaker 3>and Humberto were reportedly slotted to capture the Triple A
<v Speaker 3>World Tag team titles alongside Escobar's push. The storyline was
<v Speaker 3>meant to reset their position within the new Triple A
<v Speaker 3>WWE structure, but once Escobar decided not to renew his contract,
<v Speaker 3>those creative plans were dropped. Everything that had been in
<v Speaker 3>motion was shelved before it ever reached TV. With him
<v Speaker 3>back in WWE after deciding to resign, it remains to
<v Speaker 3>be seen if these original plans are brought back to
<v Speaker 3>the table. So that sounds like they had a long
<v Speaker 3>term plan here, and you know, the title going to
<v Speaker 3>Dominic was actually meant for Escobar. So again, are we
<v Speaker 3>going to see, you know, kind of a reset where
<v Speaker 3>they do end up getting around to kind of the
<v Speaker 3>destination they wanted to get to, which was Escobar as
<v Speaker 3>the Mega Champion. Did that idea now fall to the wayside?
<v Speaker 3>Does he not want to, you know, spend his time
<v Speaker 3>in trip I would imagine he probably doesn't mind. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>the more the merrier, right, Look at dom He's got
<v Speaker 3>a title in WWE. He's got a title in Triple A.
<v Speaker 3>He's going back and forth between the US and Mexico.
<v Speaker 3>He's a bigger star now than he's ever been in
<v Speaker 3>his life. So I'm sure if they told Escobar, hey,
<v Speaker 3>we want to put the Mega title on you, and
<v Speaker 3>you'll split your time between there and here, he would
<v Speaker 3>probably love that. I don't know now if those plans
<v Speaker 3>are are out the window completely or if they're going
<v Speaker 3>to come back around to it or not. He's a
<v Speaker 3>very talented guy. Santos Escobar is never going to be
<v Speaker 3>WWE champion. It's just not going to happen. But he's
<v Speaker 3>very talented. You know, he can cut promos, he can work,
<v Speaker 3>he can like all the things you would want him
<v Speaker 3>to do. He can do, and he can be, you know,
<v Speaker 3>a solid guy to have in that mid card on
<v Speaker 3>Raw or on SmackDown. And if you want to surround
<v Speaker 3>him with other people like Los Guars, if you want
<v Speaker 3>to add other members, you know, to the fold and
<v Speaker 3>create a whole heal faction out of it, you could
<v Speaker 3>do that too. So I'm glad they were able to
<v Speaker 3>come to an agreement. I'm glad that they were able to,
<v Speaker 3>you know, find some common ground that apparently he's going
<v Speaker 3>to end up with a much better deal now than
<v Speaker 3>he had before. I think it speaks volumes about how
<v Speaker 3>Triple H and WWE felt about Carrying Cross. That his
<v Speaker 3>contract was coming due and he very clearly wanted to resign,
<v Speaker 3>and then they really didn't show all that much of
<v Speaker 3>an interest in bringing him in Scarlett back, and he
<v Speaker 3>wasn't very impressed by the offer that they made to him,
<v Speaker 3>and he's no longer in WWE. That is not a work.
<v Speaker 3>Santos Escobar says, I don't want to resign. Let's his
<v Speaker 3>contract expire. They come back to him and blow them
<v Speaker 3>away with some amazing offer, and now he's back in
<v Speaker 3>the company. I think that says a lot about certain
<v Speaker 3>people in the hierarchy there in that company that were
<v Speaker 3>not happy with Carry and Cross. But they gave Escobard
<v Speaker 3>the deal that they did. They wanted him back, and
<v Speaker 3>one would hope that means that they actually have plans
<v Speaker 3>to use him. So I hope, so I hope he
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure that he felt like, Okay, I'm comfortable that
<v Speaker 3>they have, you know, indicated to me, they actually have
<v Speaker 3>plans for me. It would be very shitty if they
<v Speaker 3>kind of led him to believe that and then re
<v Speaker 3>signed him and now and now it's like he's in
<v Speaker 3>the same spot he was in before. I would certainly
<v Speaker 3>hope that's not the case. But good for him, you know,
<v Speaker 3>he got himself a better deal and now hopefully he'll
<v Speaker 3>get himself a better push now. The NXTTNA Showdown on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 3>I watched that and Dynamite at the same time. They
<v Speaker 3>went head to head. I hope I never have to
<v Speaker 3>do that again, but we'll probably be back next year
<v Speaker 3>doing the same thing. Because Dynamite had title Tuesday, they
<v Speaker 3>were bumped from Wednesdays because of baseball. I thought they
<v Speaker 3>were both solid shows. I like the NXT show more.
<v Speaker 3>On that show, there was a title for title match.
<v Speaker 3>It was the hard Ease and Dark State NXT Tag
<v Speaker 3>Team titles on the line, TNA tag team titles on
<v Speaker 3>the line, and the Hardys win the NXT titles, the
<v Speaker 3>first TNA talents to actually win gold from WWE, and
<v Speaker 3>naturally it was the Hardy's. It was not a TNA original.
<v Speaker 3>It was the Hardys, who are already looked at as
<v Speaker 3>WWE guys anyway, right, it was a safe choice for
<v Speaker 3>them to put the belts on them, and the Hardys
<v Speaker 3>now are on this expedition of gold again as they
<v Speaker 3>were many years ago, where they have multiple sets of
<v Speaker 3>tag team titles. Now we find out, according to Fightful,
<v Speaker 3>that their deal with TNA their deals with TNA, unless
<v Speaker 3>they have very quietly signed an extension or a new deal,
<v Speaker 3>they are due to expire next month because they had
<v Speaker 3>re signed with the company in November of twenty twenty
<v Speaker 3>four on one year deals. So TNA source is told
<v Speaker 3>Fightful select the deal has been mutually beneficial and a
<v Speaker 3>lot of positive has emerged from it. The Hardys have
<v Speaker 3>regularly stayed eight hours after TNA shows to fulfill heavily
<v Speaker 3>in demand meet and greets, and unless a new extension
<v Speaker 3>was quietly reached, their current deals are about to expire
<v Speaker 3>very soon and the company is hopeful but not certain,
<v Speaker 3>that they will resign Matt and Jeff Hardy.
<v Speaker 1>And it's not just the Hardys.
<v Speaker 3>Sources within TNA have revealed that no less than a
<v Speaker 3>dozen contracts are set to expire between now and the
<v Speaker 3>end of the year, including several names that have already
<v Speaker 3>been reported, including the Inspiration Right, the former Iconics and
<v Speaker 3>Cedric Alexander and many are expected to stay, but nothing
<v Speaker 3>is official until it's official, so we'll see how that
<v Speaker 3>plays out. I think the Hardys have a good deal
<v Speaker 3>going right now where they're on WWE television, obviously in
<v Speaker 3>a limited capacity, but they're on WWE television. They're literally
<v Speaker 3>holding WWE belts right now. But they work for TNA, then,
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure they get paid well by TNA, and they
<v Speaker 3>still have the freedom to go out and do signings,
<v Speaker 3>and they have the freedom to go out and work
<v Speaker 3>independent promotions like House of Glory right in other places
<v Speaker 3>that they would not be able to do if they
<v Speaker 3>had full time, you know, or even part time WWE contracts.
<v Speaker 3>The question is do they think they could get more
<v Speaker 3>money and get better deals by working for WWE, Because
<v Speaker 3>think about it like this, I don't know what they're
<v Speaker 3>making in TNA, right, I'm sure they're not getting paid peanuts, right,
<v Speaker 3>they probably have very good deals. They probably would be
<v Speaker 3>making more money. I think it's safe to say if
<v Speaker 3>they were to sign with WWE, right even if they
<v Speaker 3>signed like a short two year deal to kind of
<v Speaker 3>end their careers, Let's say in WWE, they'll get some
<v Speaker 3>of that TKO money if they're not making as much
<v Speaker 3>money for TNA as they would be making working for WWE,
<v Speaker 3>but they're working WWE shows.
<v Speaker 1>I could see where it's like, wait a.
<v Speaker 3>Minute, WWE, It's clear what they're getting out of it.
<v Speaker 3>They're getting the benefit of using the hard but they
<v Speaker 3>don't have to pay the hardies. Then if I'm Matt
<v Speaker 3>and Jeff, I'm looking at that and going, Okay, we
<v Speaker 3>need to have a conversation here about, you know, kind
<v Speaker 3>of what we want to do because this is a
<v Speaker 3>little unfair. And again I don't know the numbers and
<v Speaker 3>the terms, but I could see where maybe they would
<v Speaker 3>look at it and go, Okay, we have to reevaluate
<v Speaker 3>our entire situation here, because boy, they're really they're getting
<v Speaker 3>us at a discount, you know, in effect. So I
<v Speaker 3>think for TNA, you do what you can to keep
<v Speaker 3>them because they're one of the biggest attractions they have
<v Speaker 3>right now. And TNA is looking now to get television,
<v Speaker 3>like a new television deal that's probably going to be
<v Speaker 3>announced any month now. I would think at least to start,
<v Speaker 3>you would want an attraction like the Hardy's on your show.
<v Speaker 3>You know, you don't want to go into this new
<v Speaker 3>TV deal and then you'll lose them. So if I'm
<v Speaker 3>Carlos Silvan TNA, I'm doing everything I can to try
<v Speaker 3>to retain their services. If that means you got to
<v Speaker 3>pay them more, well you better find the money and
<v Speaker 3>pay them more, because I think they've proven to be
<v Speaker 3>worth it. But they had Ethan Paige and Mustafa Ali
<v Speaker 3>for the North American title that stole the show. That
<v Speaker 3>was the best match on either show Tuesday night. I
<v Speaker 3>fucking great match. Ali is so good and Pages as well.
<v Speaker 3>Ethan retains the North American Championship in an excellent match,
<v Speaker 3>and then they had two Survivor Series style elimination matches,
<v Speaker 3>which made me just really wish that Triple H would
<v Speaker 3>still have one or two traditional Survivor Series matches, just
<v Speaker 3>you know, just to maintain the tradition. But I guess,
<v Speaker 3>you know, you'd have to do one for the men,
<v Speaker 3>you'd have to do one for the women, and you
<v Speaker 3>already have two War Games matches, and that's that's a
<v Speaker 3>bit much. But they had Team NXT on the women's side,
<v Speaker 3>beating Team TNA, which was captained by NXT star Kilanie Jordan,
<v Speaker 3>because Klanie Jordan is currently the Knockouts champion, so the
<v Speaker 3>NXT women led by j C. Jane took the win there.
<v Speaker 3>And speaking of which, there was a tag team match
<v Speaker 3>at an NXT House show in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday
<v Speaker 3>where j C. Jane, the NXT Women's Champion, suffered an
<v Speaker 3>apparent leg injury in a tag team match that pit
<v Speaker 3>her and Fallon Henley against Soul, Ruka and Zaria. One
<v Speaker 3>report indicated that Jane suffered a possible quadriceps injury during
<v Speaker 3>the bout and tagged out of the match for the finish.
<v Speaker 3>The report goes on to state that the referee threw
<v Speaker 3>up the dreaded X, indicating a legitimate injury, and that
<v Speaker 3>medical personnel had to help Jce to the back following
<v Speaker 3>the match. She's been the NXT Women's Champion since May.
<v Speaker 3>She even had a brief run as the TNA Knockouts champion.
<v Speaker 3>She was actually the one who beat Stephanie Vecaer, who
<v Speaker 3>hasn't lost very many matches this year. That might be
<v Speaker 3>the only one that she lost.
<v Speaker 1>She lost to j C. Jane, So that tells you
<v Speaker 1>what Sean Michaels thinks of j C. Jane.
<v Speaker 3>You hate to hear about anybody getting hurt. I have
<v Speaker 3>not seen any updates on her conditions since, and this
<v Speaker 3>was days ago, so I don't know if it's a
<v Speaker 3>serious injury.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe it's not. I hope it's not, but we'll.
<v Speaker 3>See if we hear anything this week on Tuesday, because
<v Speaker 3>if she has a serious injury, then we'll know about
<v Speaker 3>it by then. Now Team TNA won on the men's side,
<v Speaker 3>they beat Team NXT. Team TNA was captained by Mike Santana.
<v Speaker 3>Team NXT was captained by the NXT Champion. Ricky says
<v Speaker 3>that he had the TNA World Heavyweight Champion on his team.
<v Speaker 1>The TNA World Heavyweight.
<v Speaker 3>Champion is an NXT star who wrestled for Team NXT
<v Speaker 3>because Team TNA and Santino Morello, the Director of Authority,
<v Speaker 3>did not trust Trick Williams, which that at least made sense,
<v Speaker 3>But it's still funny to me that we had the
<v Speaker 3>TNA World Champion representing Team NXT and guess what, Santino
<v Speaker 3>was right, Tricky Dicky cannot be trusted because he walked
<v Speaker 3>out on his partner. He left Ricky Saints Hy in
<v Speaker 3>dry and I think it came down to Mike Santana
<v Speaker 3>and Moose they were the sole survivors. They won it
<v Speaker 3>for Team TNA. Now I mentioned that j c J
<v Speaker 3>got heart on a house show this week. There are
<v Speaker 3>some main roster names that were set to appear for
<v Speaker 3>NXT on their house show tour this weekend. Starting on Thursday,
<v Speaker 3>NXT was in the Midwest for three consecutive live events,
<v Speaker 3>and they announced that Johnny Gargano and Tamaso Champa would
<v Speaker 3>be competing at all three shows, and the MotorCity Machine
<v Speaker 3>Guns Alex Shelley and Chris Saban were set for Friday's event,
<v Speaker 3>which was in their hometown of Detroit, so they were
<v Speaker 3>only wrestling on the Detroit show, and they said Ethan
<v Speaker 3>Page would be defending his North American championship on all
<v Speaker 3>three shows against yet to be announced opponents. So Thursday
<v Speaker 3>they were in Columbus, Friday they were in Detroit at
<v Speaker 3>the Masonic Temple where AW hosted Dynamite there a few
<v Speaker 3>months ago, and then yesterday they were set to run
<v Speaker 3>the Agora Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. And running more house
<v Speaker 3>shows outside of Florida is something that Shawn Michaels talked
<v Speaker 3>about last month. He was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet,
<v Speaker 3>and he said the reception that they get in I
<v Speaker 3>don't know, Charleston, or in Augusta, Georgia, and maybe another place,
<v Speaker 3>all three would be different. This last time on the road,
<v Speaker 3>they all experienced that and it was something that threw
<v Speaker 3>them all off and they didn't really understand it because
<v Speaker 3>so many of the things that they do all the
<v Speaker 3>time didn't work. So those are aspects that they once
<v Speaker 3>that Once they experienced that, I can now begin to
<v Speaker 3>associate with them on a level that we haven't been
<v Speaker 3>able to do before. And I think that's why it's
<v Speaker 3>so important. You've got to do these live events. You
<v Speaker 3>got to do it, and especially with NXT, it's very
<v Speaker 3>important that you get out there on the road outside
<v Speaker 3>of that little Florida loop that they've done before. You've
<v Speaker 3>got to get them out there in front of actual
<v Speaker 3>crowds in other places, other states, other cities, and get
<v Speaker 3>them accustomed because they're going to get different reactions in
<v Speaker 3>different places.
<v Speaker 1>And just like he said in.
<v Speaker 3>That interview, like what works in one place or what
<v Speaker 3>works in Florida is not going to work somewhere else.
<v Speaker 3>It's not going to work in Cleveland. You know, it
<v Speaker 3>may not work in Erie, Pennsylvania, and so that's why
<v Speaker 3>it's so important to get them out there in front
<v Speaker 3>of actual people outside of the PC, outside of these
<v Speaker 3>little armories in Florida, and get them experience in front
<v Speaker 3>of different crowds, you know. And I think the same
<v Speaker 3>thing about the main roster because they've cut down so
<v Speaker 3>much on the number of house shows, and I think
<v Speaker 3>it's great that they're not running them into the ground
<v Speaker 3>by running too many shows, but they just seem intent
<v Speaker 3>to keep cutting and cutting and cutting. I mean, they
<v Speaker 3>plan on cutting even more live events next year. And
<v Speaker 3>I talked about this on Monday. You know, we had
<v Speaker 3>a match on raw between Becky Lynch and Maxine Dupre,
<v Speaker 3>which was a hell of a lot better than I
<v Speaker 3>was expecting.
<v Speaker 1>It to be.
<v Speaker 3>You could see the little improvements that Maxine has made.
<v Speaker 3>Maxine is still not great, but she's made improvements from
<v Speaker 3>where she was six months ago and a year ago.
<v Speaker 3>But we never get to see her in the ring
<v Speaker 3>un raw. So it's like, Okay, well, I hope she's
<v Speaker 3>working house shows, and then I realize, like I look
<v Speaker 3>at her recent matches, and she's had some main event matches,
<v Speaker 3>but she's not having a lot of matches because they
<v Speaker 3>don't run hardly any house shows anymore. And she is
<v Speaker 3>someone who should be in NXT. She should be on
<v Speaker 3>that NXT tour that they ran this weekend. Maybe she was,
<v Speaker 3>I don't know, but she was somebody that got plucked
<v Speaker 3>out of developmental way too quickly because they had a
<v Speaker 3>certain role in mind for her. And if she's going
<v Speaker 3>to be a valet, that's fine, but they wanted to wrestle,
<v Speaker 3>So why the fuck did you take her out of NXT.
<v Speaker 3>That's the whole point NXT was built. It was designed
<v Speaker 3>for people like her to improve and learn and cut
<v Speaker 3>their teeth and then when the time is right, you
<v Speaker 3>call them up to the main roster. So she's had
<v Speaker 3>to go through that period of growing pains. And I
<v Speaker 3>know she's been training with Natty at her school in
<v Speaker 3>Florida and you could see again the improvements that she's made.
<v Speaker 3>But she's someone who really suffers, I think, from the
<v Speaker 3>lack of live events now when it comes to the
<v Speaker 3>main roster, because that's how you get better. You work
<v Speaker 3>with people like Natty, you work with people like Becky,
<v Speaker 3>maybe you even work with people like you at the
<v Speaker 3>same experience level. But you go out there, you're not
<v Speaker 3>on television, so you don't have that pressure on you.
<v Speaker 3>You go out there for ten, twelve, fifteen minutes, you
<v Speaker 3>probably get a lot longer than you would on TV,
<v Speaker 3>right TV, Maxine's lucky if she gets fucking four minutes.
<v Speaker 3>You go to a live event, she's wrestling nine, ten,
<v Speaker 3>twelve minutes, and she's able to try stuff and this works. Oh,
<v Speaker 3>this didn't work, you know, and you just you learn.
<v Speaker 3>Wrestlers talk about this all the time. She's someone who
<v Speaker 3>I think is a victim of their slashing so many
<v Speaker 3>live events. So for NXT, it's super important to get
<v Speaker 3>them on the road and they should be doing more
<v Speaker 3>of that.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 3>Bound for Glory is tonight mentioned TNA. I am hoping
<v Speaker 3>to go live after the show and do a review.
<v Speaker 3>I have not put together any artwork at all so far.
<v Speaker 3>By you're just gonna see me on three. There's gonna
<v Speaker 3>be nothing else. Yeah, I don't know. If I can't
<v Speaker 3>get that done, I don't know what's going to happen.
<v Speaker 3>So but I'm hoping I can go live because I
<v Speaker 3>am planning on watching the show. And again, if you are,
<v Speaker 3>I talk about the VPN all the time with WWE shows.
<v Speaker 3>If you want to use it for boun for Glory,
<v Speaker 3>it's very easy. You sign into your Express VPN, you
<v Speaker 3>find any international pay per view distributor for the show
<v Speaker 3>right wherever the show is airing, whether it's trailer or
<v Speaker 3>wherever it may be, and you should be able to
<v Speaker 3>buy the show, yes by the show for a fraction
<v Speaker 3>of what you would.
<v Speaker 1>Pay here in the US.
<v Speaker 3>I actually have not tried it before with a TNA show,
<v Speaker 3>but I would imagine it works the same way. But
<v Speaker 3>boun for Glory real quick. Here's the preview. They are
<v Speaker 3>inducting Mickey James and the beautiful people into the TNA
<v Speaker 3>Hall of Fame. I think that's happening before the show
<v Speaker 3>goes Love. The show goes live at seven Eastern, and
<v Speaker 3>I think they're doing something at six o'clock with the
<v Speaker 3>actual inductions. They're having the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match.
<v Speaker 3>They have Tessa Blanchard against gam Miller. They're having a
<v Speaker 3>hardcore war with Mustafa Ali, Agent Zero, Jason Hotch, John
<v Speaker 3>Schuyler and Tasha Steeles against Eddie Edwards, Moose, Brian Myers,
<v Speaker 3>j DC, and Alsia Edwards. That's the system Frankie Kazarian
<v Speaker 3>defends the TNA International Championship against Steve Macklin.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going with Steve Macklin for the win. There.
<v Speaker 3>Leon Slater is defending the X or the NXC the
<v Speaker 3>TNA it may as well be TNA X Division Championship
<v Speaker 3>defending it against Javon Evans. That match is going to
<v Speaker 3>be fucking insane. Kalanie Jordan is defending the Knockouts Championship
<v Speaker 3>against Indy Hartwell. We have a tables match for the
<v Speaker 3>final time, twenty five years after they innovated the Tables,
<v Speaker 3>Ladders and Shares match one last time. The Dudley Boys,
<v Speaker 3>Bubba Ray and Devon Team three D. I guess they're
<v Speaker 3>calling them because it's TNA taking on the Hardys who
<v Speaker 3>are putting their TNA and NXT Tag Team championships on
<v Speaker 3>the line. And I could tell you as the commissioner
<v Speaker 3>that I would not permit them to defend their Hog
<v Speaker 3>Tag Team titles. So the House of Glory Tag team
<v Speaker 3>titles will not be on the line. I had to
<v Speaker 3>draw the line somewhere here, but the other two sets
<v Speaker 3>of titles will be And then in the main event,
<v Speaker 3>Mike Santana challenges Trick Williams to try to bring the
<v Speaker 3>TNA World Have Youweight Championship back to home base. This
<v Speaker 3>has to be it. I didn't mention I got Leon
<v Speaker 3>Slater beating Javon Evans, Klanie Jordan retaining over Indy Hartwell,
<v Speaker 3>I've got the Hardys beating the Dudleys, and I've got
<v Speaker 3>Mike Santana winning in the main event. Don't be surprised
<v Speaker 3>if we see a cameo from Ricky Saints giving Santana
<v Speaker 3>the assist, especially after Trick walked out on Ricky on Tuesday.
<v Speaker 3>I could definitely see that happening. So that is your
<v Speaker 3>bound for glory card. Let me mention this here before
<v Speaker 3>I get into some aw news. This kind of came
<v Speaker 3>out of nowhere and was unexpected, but is sort of entertaining.
<v Speaker 3>Paul Haman issued a response to a social media post
<v Speaker 3>from former WWE Universal champion Braunz Stroman, where Stroman had
<v Speaker 3>called him Oswald cobble pot. Stroman's post on Monday came
<v Speaker 3>in response to a line from a Hayman promo on
<v Speaker 3>Raw where Hayman said that no one but the Vision
<v Speaker 3>had ever forced Roman Reigns to do a stretcher job
<v Speaker 3>before Stroman posted an image of an angle where Roman
<v Speaker 3>was stretchered out at the hands of Stroman that was
<v Speaker 3>many years ago, and then Stroman tipped over the stretcher.
<v Speaker 3>Stroman wrote, yeah, okay, Oswald cobble Pot. Of course, for
<v Speaker 3>those who don't know, Oswald Cobblepot is the name of
<v Speaker 3>the penguin from Batman. Hayman responded in an Instagram story
<v Speaker 3>on Wednesday, writing, dear miss Stroman, your post was brought
<v Speaker 3>to my attention. I have nothing negative to say about you,
<v Speaker 3>nor to you. In fact, I am actually relieved, in
<v Speaker 3>indeed celebratory, to learn that you are still alive, something
<v Speaker 3>most of us did not realize and even fewer cared about.
<v Speaker 3>With love and respect, Paul Hayman. I'm sure the folks
<v Speaker 3>at USA Network must be delighted as they begin to
<v Speaker 3>promote Stroman's new food show, which is debuting after SmackDown
<v Speaker 3>in a couple of weeks that Paul Hayman is posting
<v Speaker 3>on social media that nobody even knew this man was alive.
<v Speaker 3>So this all stems from there was a beef earlier
<v Speaker 3>this year with Hayman and Stroman. If you remember Hayman
<v Speaker 3>was on the Pat McAfee show, and this was around WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 3>It might have been the night after WrestleMania forty one,
<v Speaker 3>and Hayman shared a story that Stroman had approached him
<v Speaker 3>crying because he wasn't part of the WrestleMania card. And
<v Speaker 3>Hayman said that he told Stroman to his face that
<v Speaker 3>he sucks and that's why he was left off the show.
<v Speaker 3>So that might be the root of some of the
<v Speaker 3>animis here between these two men. Let me get into
<v Speaker 3>some aw stuff here. There was a story, a kind
<v Speaker 3>of embarrassing story this week regarding the all In Texas
<v Speaker 3>attendance from Globe Life Field back in July. This comes
<v Speaker 3>from Wressell Nomics. A lower than expected turnout for July's
<v Speaker 3>aw all In from Arlington, Texas's Global Life Field will
<v Speaker 3>result in the company getting a reduced reimbursement from the state.
<v Speaker 3>The news comes from public records obtained by Wressell Nomics
<v Speaker 3>that revealed the actual turnstile count aka ticket scan for
<v Speaker 3>those coming into the venue at twenty one, nine hundred
<v Speaker 3>and seventy three, which included two hundred and seventy four
<v Speaker 3>Sweet tickets out of six hundred and seventy eight that
<v Speaker 3>were actually sold. Actual attendance in the venue was listed
<v Speaker 3>as twenty three thousand, seven hundred and fifty nine according
<v Speaker 3>to the documentation, While not specially, the difference could be
<v Speaker 3>arena workers and other personnel. The total amount of tickets
<v Speaker 3>sold and distributed was not provided in the records. Wressel
<v Speaker 3>Tics had previously estimated twenty seven thousand, two hundred and
<v Speaker 3>forty five as total distributed. Following the event, AW president
<v Speaker 3>Tony Kahan had said that he thought the attendance was
<v Speaker 3>nearly twenty nine thousand. In pre show media, he said
<v Speaker 3>that all In was nearing the three million dollar mark
<v Speaker 3>in gate revenue. Why that scan count matters is the
<v Speaker 3>Texas Event Trust Fund, which uses both state and local
<v Speaker 3>funding to help cover expenses for certain events coming into
<v Speaker 3>the state. AW was set to receive a million dollars
<v Speaker 3>in pre approved funding based on a February estimated attendance
<v Speaker 3>of thirty three thousand, four hundred and ninety with thirty
<v Speaker 3>two thousand, five hundred of those being fans. Arlington City
<v Speaker 3>Manager Trey Yelverton confirmed to Wrestle Nomics in the report
<v Speaker 3>that AW would end up receiving around seven hundred thousand
<v Speaker 3>dollars in reimbursements towards all in costs. Additionally, documentations showed
<v Speaker 3>that there was originally both New Japan and CMLL events
<v Speaker 3>planned for All In week, in addition to a Chris
<v Speaker 3>Jericho Fozzy Swerve Strickland combo concert that never happened. So
<v Speaker 3>that's kind of embarrassing. I would say, Yeah, they were
<v Speaker 3>talking about twenty nine thousand, you know, thirty thousand people
<v Speaker 3>there for All In, and now we find out that
<v Speaker 3>the number was actually quite a bit less and they're
<v Speaker 3>not in fact getting the million dollars that they were
<v Speaker 3>expecting to get. When WWE exaggerates their numbers, we talk
<v Speaker 3>about that. If AW does the same thing and they
<v Speaker 3>get exposed, we got to talk about that too. Unfortunately,
<v Speaker 3>we also got to talk about Coda Ibushi, and this
<v Speaker 3>is something I would rather not be talking about. Coda
<v Speaker 3>Aboushie made his return at the Collision taping this past
<v Speaker 3>week in Jacksonville. They had their homecoming shows from Daily's place.
<v Speaker 3>They were live on Tuesday. They taped Coalition on Wednesday,
<v Speaker 3>and Cody Ebushi was making his in ring return. The
<v Speaker 3>first time we would have seen him since Forbidden Door
<v Speaker 3>back in August, and he made his return in a
<v Speaker 3>match against Josh Alexander and he got injured, and he
<v Speaker 3>got injured very badly and had to be carded to
<v Speaker 3>an ambulance outside the venue. They did air the match
<v Speaker 3>last night. I was wondering if they were going to
<v Speaker 3>keep that in or edit the whole thing out, because
<v Speaker 3>they were wrestling for a good I don't know, ten
<v Speaker 3>twelve minutes maybe before the injury happened. They did air
<v Speaker 3>the full match right up until and through the injury
<v Speaker 3>and the postmatch stuff, so we got to see it
<v Speaker 3>in living color exactly what happened here, and it was
<v Speaker 3>just a complete accident. So what happened was they did
<v Speaker 3>a spot where Alexander had Abushie on his shoulders while
<v Speaker 3>he was sitting on the top rope, and I don't
<v Speaker 3>know what he was going for. I don't know if
<v Speaker 3>he was going for a Lambeau plunge or what he
<v Speaker 3>was going to do. But Alexander picked up Eboushie on
<v Speaker 3>his shoulder. It was in a fireman's carry position and
<v Speaker 3>they slipped. It was actually like Alexander was kind of
<v Speaker 3>like falling backwards and they fell out of the ring.
<v Speaker 3>Alexander actually fell backwards, which was scary enough, and he
<v Speaker 3>hit the apron on the way down, but otherwise he
<v Speaker 3>was fine. Ibushi just fell straight down. It wasn't even
<v Speaker 3>like he fell on his head or anything like that,
<v Speaker 3>but he fell and in doing so, he landed badly
<v Speaker 3>and he broke his leg, and Doc Samson came out.
<v Speaker 3>The referee ended up counting Ibushie out of the ring.
<v Speaker 3>Don Kallus then gets on the mic and he cuts
<v Speaker 3>a promo and Mark Davis comes out with him. Yes,
<v Speaker 3>Mark Davis is back, talk about an uneventful return, and
<v Speaker 3>they had him go over and start pounding away on Ibushie,
<v Speaker 3>who's laying there in agonizing pain. I mean, at least
<v Speaker 3>he didn't hit him in the leg. Kenny Omega runs
<v Speaker 3>out with the garbage can to run them off. What
<v Speaker 3>they did not show were the house lights then were lowered,
<v Speaker 3>medical person and ellissisted Iboushi. Eventually they carried him out
<v Speaker 3>on a stretcher to an ambulance. Tony Khan addressed the
<v Speaker 3>live audience after the match, saying, most challenging sport of
<v Speaker 3>all when it comes to injuries, The hardest hitting sport
<v Speaker 3>of all is pro wrestling. Thank you for being respectful.
<v Speaker 3>Let's give it up for Koda Ibushi.
<v Speaker 1>Now.
<v Speaker 3>Ibushi has since confirmed on his Instagram that he underwent
<v Speaker 3>successful surgery to repair a broken femur, which is a
<v Speaker 3>terrible injury. The femur is the strongest, I think, and
<v Speaker 3>longest bone in the human body, and he broke it.
<v Speaker 3>Think of all the times he landed on his fucking
<v Speaker 3>neck and didn't break his neck, but he broke his femur.
<v Speaker 3>And he posted this note along with a photo. There
<v Speaker 3>are actually several photos of him in the hospital bed,
<v Speaker 3>but one of them he's in the hospital bed holding
<v Speaker 3>a bouquet of flowers with a note from Tony Kahan,
<v Speaker 3>a handwritten note from him, and Ibushi posted the following,
<v Speaker 3>and this is translated. He says again question mark again,
<v Speaker 3>I've done nothing but suffer serious injuries. This time it's
<v Speaker 3>aphemeral fracture, said thigh bone, and the broken bone was
<v Speaker 3>about to pierce through the flesh. It feels like life
<v Speaker 3>is telling me enough already.
<v Speaker 1>Stop.
<v Speaker 3>The surgery was successfully completed, and then he says in parenthesis,
<v Speaker 3>if I end up with another serious injury after this,
<v Speaker 3>dot dot dot, he said, from now on, I think
<v Speaker 3>I'll live as an ordinary person. For about the past
<v Speaker 3>five years, I've been constantly breaking, healing and getting into accidents.
<v Speaker 3>But this can't be the way it ends. More than anything,
<v Speaker 3>the greatest president hashtag Tony Khan and my comrade, the
<v Speaker 3>Vice president hashtag Kenny Omega, who helped me with so
<v Speaker 3>many things, the best in the world. Aw I never
<v Speaker 3>imagined it that the President himself would personally give me
<v Speaker 3>a bouquet and a letter after something like that. How
<v Speaker 3>could I ever quit? I cried. I don't know if
<v Speaker 3>it'll take a year or a year and a half
<v Speaker 3>to recover, but I'll start doing whatever I can. Right now,
<v Speaker 3>I can only move my toes unbearable pain. I was
<v Speaker 3>shocked that I could even still feel pain. Mister Tony Khan,
<v Speaker 3>I've got no choice but to keep fighting, And I
<v Speaker 3>just feel bad for the guy. This was just a
<v Speaker 3>complete freak accident. It wasn't even like he did something
<v Speaker 3>that was just really, really crazy, And of course you
<v Speaker 3>know that's the risk you take. I mean, they were
<v Speaker 3>on the top rope getting ready to do something. There's
<v Speaker 3>always going to be risk involved in that, but especially
<v Speaker 3>by Yubushi standards, this was really nothing out of the ordinary,
<v Speaker 3>and it just was a freak thing that happened. You know,
<v Speaker 3>Ibushi is forty three years old with a body that
<v Speaker 3>has been ravaged by injuries, and not only the shoulder
<v Speaker 3>injury that he suffered in that G one final with
<v Speaker 3>Okada a few years ago, but last year he was
<v Speaker 3>wrestling with an already broken ankle and he ended up
<v Speaker 3>injuring himself even worse. I think he hurt both ankles.
<v Speaker 3>That's why he missed so much time, Like that man
<v Speaker 3>needed an intervention from someone. He was going down a
<v Speaker 3>bad path. Then he comes back this year and he
<v Speaker 3>actually looks more like his old self, only for this
<v Speaker 3>than that happened. I mean, maybe maybe the wrestling gods
<v Speaker 3>are trying to tell him something.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I could see why he wouldn't want
<v Speaker 1>his career to end like that. I'm sure.
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure he'll be back, but at some point, like
<v Speaker 3>if he does get hurt again, that's it. To me,
<v Speaker 3>that's a wrap, Like how much more can one person
<v Speaker 3>take here? So I mean, it's just a completely shitty situation.
<v Speaker 3>And as far as plans it may have impacted, I
<v Speaker 3>assumed you know him coming back now? Why would they
<v Speaker 3>bring him back now?
<v Speaker 1>Right?
<v Speaker 3>Well, we're heading into Blood and Guts in November. We
<v Speaker 3>know we're getting a women's blood and Guts. They have
<v Speaker 3>not said there won't be a men. We may get
<v Speaker 3>one of each, and I know he's been in a
<v Speaker 3>previous one with Omega. I could have envisioned a scenario
<v Speaker 3>where Omega and Eboushi end up on the baby face
<v Speaker 3>side in a blood and Guts match. So it's entirely
<v Speaker 3>possible that was what they had planned for him, and
<v Speaker 3>if so, they'll have to just find somebody else now,
<v Speaker 3>I guess, to take his place. Today's episode is sponsored
<v Speaker 3>by Factor. Finding time to cook can be tough anytime
<v Speaker 3>of a year, but right now the fall has been
<v Speaker 3>pretty overwhelming. I mean, what with all the different shows
<v Speaker 3>that I've been producing, many of them at Weird Hours
<v Speaker 3>House of Glory. We just had our biggest show of
<v Speaker 3>the year this past week, and on top of all that,
<v Speaker 3>the days are getting shorter, so the thought of taking
<v Speaker 3>the time to prepare a nice meal is tough to swallow,
<v Speaker 3>which is why I love Factors so much. Their chef prep,
<v Speaker 3>dietitian approved meals make it easy to stay on track
<v Speaker 3>and enjoy something delicious no matter how hectic the season gets.

<v Speaker 3>no matter what your routine may be. You know, I've
<v Speaker 3>eaten my share of Factor meals in the time since
<v Speaker 3>I first learned about them, and I always put over
<v Speaker 3>the same sesame Teriaki filet mignon that I had a
<v Speaker 3>few months ago is still my favorite. But they've all
<v Speaker 3>been enjoyable, and I know it will be for you too.
<v Speaker 3>I'm looking at one of the upcoming menus for this week.
<v Speaker 3>They break them down week by week on their website.
<v Speaker 3>Listen to this. They've got browned butter grilled chicken and
<v Speaker 3>Yukon mash with roasted green beans and mushrooms. That's if
<v Speaker 3>you're looking for a high protein, calorie smart option, or
<v Speaker 3>maybe you're more into the truffle butter filet miennon if
<v Speaker 3>you want a low carb, fiber filled option. The keyword
<v Speaker 3>is option. They have tons of them to suit your
<v Speaker 3>palate and meet your nutritional needs. I say it every time.
<v Speaker 3>These are not TV dinners that you heat up when
<v Speaker 3>you have nothing better to make. These are tasty, dietitian

<v Speaker 3>renewing subscription purchase. AW this week made three new matches
<v Speaker 3>official for Wressel Dream, which is coming up next Saturday
<v Speaker 3>from Saint Louis, Kazuska Okata and Kenoski Takeshta. They will
<v Speaker 3>be taking on Bandido and Brody King for the AW
<v Speaker 3>Tag Team titles after their win over the champions in
<v Speaker 3>that non title eliminator match on Wednesday. Also added to
<v Speaker 3>the card, Jurassic Express will be taking on the Young
<v Speaker 3>Bucks in a match with five hundred thousand dollars at
<v Speaker 3>stake because the Bucks are broke, there are the Brocass
<v Speaker 3>Bucks again. They need money, so they got Tony Kin
<v Speaker 3>to put some money on the line in that match,
<v Speaker 3>and also added Kyle Fletcher will defend the TNT Championship
<v Speaker 3>against Mark Brisco, So that now is added to a
<v Speaker 3>card that already had Darby Allen and John Moxley in
<v Speaker 3>an I quit match, and Chris Statlander defending the AW
<v Speaker 3>Women's World title against Timeless Tony Storm and Hangman Page
<v Speaker 3>putting the AW World Championship on the line against Samoa Joe.
<v Speaker 3>So there is going to be a three hour Dynamite
<v Speaker 3>Collision combo here on Wednesday, oh Joy three hours on
<v Speaker 3>Wednesday Night, Trio's titles are on the line. The Ops
<v Speaker 3>defend against La Faxion Ingobernable, Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express
<v Speaker 3>will team up to take on Josh Alexander Hetchesero and
<v Speaker 3>Mark Davis. I love how Kenny Omega was viciously attacked
<v Speaker 3>and put out of action for weeks by Kyle Fletcher,
<v Speaker 3>and he comes back to TV, doesn't go after Kyle Fletcher,
<v Speaker 3>but ends up getting ambushed by Andrade. And now Kenny
<v Speaker 3>Omega is tagging the Jurassic Express against the other members
<v Speaker 3>of the Don Kallis family and still really nothing from
<v Speaker 3>Omega and androde or Omega and Fletcher. So maybe he's
<v Speaker 3>just going to make enemies out of each individual member
<v Speaker 3>of this faction one by one. I don't know, but
<v Speaker 3>John Moxley and Darby Allen are going to have a
<v Speaker 3>face to face the Hurt Syndicate are going to be
<v Speaker 3>taking on the Game of Agony. Actually, that's another match
<v Speaker 3>I believe that was just added last night to the
<v Speaker 3>Wrestle Dream Card. They're doing another match between the Hurt
<v Speaker 3>Syndicate and the Demand. That's what Ricochet and Goa are
<v Speaker 3>calling themselves. Did anybody demand this match. I mean, I
<v Speaker 3>guess it's the rubber match, right, They're one and one,
<v Speaker 3>so I mean, I guess that makes sense. Claudio Castignoli
<v Speaker 3>on Wednesday takes on Roderick Strong, Chris Statlander and Tony
<v Speaker 3>Storm will have their famous last words. I guess that
<v Speaker 3>last hard sell for their match. Wheeler Yuda and Daniel
<v Speaker 3>Garcia take on Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly and Sky
<v Speaker 3>Blue will take on Jamie Hayter and Jamie Hayter and Tekla.
<v Speaker 3>That was another match that was added to the Wrestle
<v Speaker 3>dream Card. I forgot some of these other editions from
<v Speaker 3>Collision last night. Speaking of Collision, there was a backstage
<v Speaker 3>segment on Collision that showed Jack Perry, who was still
<v Speaker 3>very much dressing up like scapegoat Jack Perry. Even though
<v Speaker 3>their back Jurassic Express is reunited and they got their
<v Speaker 3>old music back, he still dressed up in the denim.
<v Speaker 3>He still has a knife that he carries around with him,
<v Speaker 3>and he enters Kenny Omega's locker room and he apologized
<v Speaker 3>to Omega for what happened to Cody Abushi earlier in
<v Speaker 3>the show and also for his past actions, and he
<v Speaker 3>wanted Omega to know that they share a common enemy
<v Speaker 3>in the Don Kallis family, and he offered to have
<v Speaker 3>Omega's back, and Kenny had no interest in this. He'd
<v Speaker 3>declined the offer. He let Perry know he doesn't trust
<v Speaker 3>him or his big dumb dinosaur, but he is running
<v Speaker 3>low on friends, so if he really wants to prove himself,
<v Speaker 3>then he should show up to Dynamite. And again, the
<v Speaker 3>match on Wednesday is supposed to be Kenny omegaan Jurassic
<v Speaker 3>Express against the Kallus family. And I bring this up
<v Speaker 3>because someone sent me this. It was posted on Reddit
<v Speaker 3>earlier this week, and it's actually very interesting. I'm just
<v Speaker 3>gonna I'm gonna paraphrase him. I canna read the entire thing,
<v Speaker 3>but it's a scenario that someone floated as it relates
<v Speaker 3>to Jack Perry in this supposed reunion of Jurassic Express.
<v Speaker 3>This person says, ever since Jurassic Express reunited, I have
<v Speaker 3>felt that something was off. I feel that last night's
<v Speaker 3>match all but confirmed my suspicions that Jurassic Express is
<v Speaker 3>not okay. In the lead up to the reunion, we
<v Speaker 3>saw vignettes of what appears to be Jack Perry in
<v Speaker 3>a dingy room with Luciasaurus on an operating table and
<v Speaker 3>he's shocking him and cutting him like Doctor Frankenstein reviving
<v Speaker 3>his monster on Dynamite. We saw them back together in
<v Speaker 3>their first match, and it featured Lucasaurus doing all the
<v Speaker 3>work and Jack distracting the referee. I think there was
<v Speaker 3>also I think he pulled the turnbuckle pad off at
<v Speaker 3>one point, but he says that they hit their finish
<v Speaker 3>and Jack just stares at the camera with a smirk
<v Speaker 3>on his face, which he did, and then they play
<v Speaker 3>Baltimore a tarzanboy and everyone's cheering and throwing beach balls around.
<v Speaker 3>If Jack Perry is supposed to be a good person,
<v Speaker 3>why show these scenes of him doing some really greasy
<v Speaker 3>shit to Lucasaur. Why is he trying to cheat? Why
<v Speaker 3>is he yelling at Lucasaurus? Why is he smirking? It
<v Speaker 3>feels off because Jack Perry is still a villain. Nothing
<v Speaker 3>has changed for Jack. He is still carrying knives like
<v Speaker 3>a freak. He is still hitting the crucifix pose. He
<v Speaker 3>is still cheating. The only difference is the music. He
<v Speaker 3>hasn't shown any signs of remorse or that he has changed. Well,
<v Speaker 3>who does that remind you of by the way Roman Reigns.
<v Speaker 3>I say it all the time. Roman came back after
<v Speaker 3>he lost the ww Championship and the people were cheering
<v Speaker 3>for him like he was the biggest baby face in
<v Speaker 3>the company. And not a damn thing changed in Roman's demeanor,
<v Speaker 3>in his behavior, and his presentation.
<v Speaker 1>Nothing.
<v Speaker 3>He's still a fucking heel. And that will be the
<v Speaker 3>only time that you ever hear me compare Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 3>to Jungle Boy.
<v Speaker 1>But it does.
<v Speaker 3>It's a very interesting scenario, and I do think that
<v Speaker 3>there is something going on here. I don't think Jack
<v Speaker 3>Perry is a He's not Jungle Boy again, He's not
<v Speaker 3>coming out in the fucking loincloth. But I think he's
<v Speaker 3>still a heel. I think this person's onto something. I
<v Speaker 3>think there's something going on here in this reunion of
<v Speaker 3>Jurassic Express is probably going to be a short lived thing.
<v Speaker 3>The only other thing I wanted to mention here from
<v Speaker 3>this was Mercedes Monette. She got a win in her
<v Speaker 3>open challenge over Lacey Lane. We had Caden Carter and
<v Speaker 3>Katana Chance as a tag team in WWE. She was
<v Speaker 3>Caden Carter, so now she's going by the name Lacy Lane.
<v Speaker 3>They had a match on Dynamite. It was okay, it
<v Speaker 3>wasn't really anything out of this world, but it was
<v Speaker 3>the only women's match on that entire two and a
<v Speaker 3>half hour show because the women in AW I've noticed
<v Speaker 3>are largely relegated to the B Show. They're largely relegated
<v Speaker 3>to Collision, which they know gets a much smaller audience.
<v Speaker 3>And I love how they announced women's tag team titles,
<v Speaker 3>and they also had Jamie Hayters, you know, put that
<v Speaker 3>challenge out a couple of weeks ago to women's you know,
<v Speaker 3>Blooding Guts, and since then they haven't said anything about
<v Speaker 3>either one of them. Now, they still have time before
<v Speaker 3>we get to November twelfth, which is when Blood and
<v Speaker 3>Guts is going to be, but it's like there's been
<v Speaker 3>no real movement yet on that front. Mercedes was in
<v Speaker 3>Denmark on Friday and she wrestled a Lessa Ink for
<v Speaker 3>the Body Slam Wrestling Championship, a title that Ink has
<v Speaker 3>held for more than three years. And guess what happened, everybody,
<v Speaker 3>you guessed it. We got Mercedes ten belts. She is
<v Speaker 3>ten belts monet, so I believe she is now tie
<v Speaker 3>Ultimo Dragon one more championship and she breaks Ultimo Dragon's record,
<v Speaker 3>and it's going to happen. In fact, you're not gonna
<v Speaker 3>have to wait very long for it, because it's going
<v Speaker 3>to happen on Is it Sunday? I believe it's Sunday,
<v Speaker 3>October nineteenth. Winnipeg Pro Wrestling is having their Rumble in
<v Speaker 3>the Bert in Winnipeg, and I believe Jody Threat is
<v Speaker 3>defending her title on that show against Mercedes Todare you go?
<v Speaker 3>Mercedes is about to become eleven belts monet after next weekend.
<v Speaker 3>For anyone who is tracking this, she really isn't doing
<v Speaker 3>fuck all in aw right now, but she's still collecting
<v Speaker 3>belts everywhere else, so she'll have another one coming her
<v Speaker 3>way in about a week. Some other news and notes,
<v Speaker 3>The Los Angeles Times reported on Tuesday that Rajah Jackson,
<v Speaker 3>the son of MMA legend Quintin Rampage Jackson, will face
<v Speaker 3>two charges concerning his August attack on indie wrestler Psycho
<v Speaker 3>Stew that drew worldwide criticism and media attention. Jackson will
<v Speaker 3>be charged with one count of felony battery that caused
<v Speaker 3>serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanor battery. The
<v Speaker 3>attack took place at a show for Knox Pro Wrestling
<v Speaker 3>on August twenty third. What was originally a planned spot
<v Speaker 3>turned in to a legitimate situation, with Jackson bloodying Stu
<v Speaker 3>and sending him to the hospital. The attack came after
<v Speaker 3>Stu had struck Jackson in the head with a beer
<v Speaker 3>can backstage. Says prosecutors will also seek a sentencing enhancement
<v Speaker 3>because Jackson allegedly caused Stuart Smith, which is Psycho Stu's
<v Speaker 3>real name, to suffer great bodily injury. Smith lost several
<v Speaker 3>teeth and suffered a laceration on his lip during the attack,
<v Speaker 3>which saw Jackson body slam the wrestler and then punch
<v Speaker 3>him in the head and face more than twenty times.
<v Speaker 1>So that was.
<v Speaker 3>Earlier in the week, and then on Thursday, Rajah Jackson
<v Speaker 3>made an appearance in court. He pleaded not guilty, which
<v Speaker 3>is standard.
<v Speaker 1>Ship.
<v Speaker 3>People were making a big deal how he play. That's
<v Speaker 3>what you're supposed to do. That's just standard. If his
<v Speaker 3>lawyer told him to plead any other way, it would
<v Speaker 3>be very unusual. But he pleaded not guilty in response
<v Speaker 3>to the charges, one of which is a felony that
<v Speaker 3>could see him serve up to seven years in jail
<v Speaker 3>if convicted. He is facing one count of felony battery
<v Speaker 3>and one count of misdemeanor battery, which could see him
<v Speaker 3>serving an additional six months for that charge. When approached
<v Speaker 3>by TMZ at today's court date in La, Jackson did
<v Speaker 3>not offer any comment. His next court appearance is scheduled
<v Speaker 3>for at November and per TMZ, wearing a black shirt,
<v Speaker 3>black pants, and a black tie, Raja stared ahead as
<v Speaker 3>he strolled into the building, flanked by men who appeared
<v Speaker 3>to be his lawyers. Also this is from TMZ, it
<v Speaker 3>appears Raja Jackson has ended Psycho Stu's time inside the
<v Speaker 3>Squared Circle, as one of the wrestler's good friends tells
<v Speaker 3>TMZ Sports that he is sure that Stu's in ring
<v Speaker 3>career is over following the violent attack. Douglas Mallow, who
<v Speaker 3>actually helped rip Jackson off of Psycho Stu during his
<v Speaker 3>outburst back in August, sat down with us this week
<v Speaker 3>after prosecutors officially levy charges on Rampage Jackson's son, and
<v Speaker 3>he told us that he cannot see Stu ever mixing
<v Speaker 3>it up between the ropes again.
<v Speaker 1>Said.
<v Speaker 3>His close friend that I talked to that's throwing this
<v Speaker 3>benefit event said that Stu's done with any ring work,
<v Speaker 3>said Malo when TMZ asked if he thinks that Stu
<v Speaker 3>would like to wrestle again to help find closure, and
<v Speaker 3>then I also know about some of the stuff that
<v Speaker 3>he was dealing with from when I talked to his
<v Speaker 3>wife last and his friends. I don't think being in
<v Speaker 3>the ring would ever work again. Malo said that he
<v Speaker 3>thinks it would be cool to do an angle where
<v Speaker 3>Stue makes a safe for him, reversing the situation that
<v Speaker 3>played out when he helped stop Jackson's attack, but Malo
<v Speaker 3>doesn't know if even that would be a smart idea.
<v Speaker 3>He said that was a lot of damage that he
<v Speaker 3>received plus what he was already dealing with. You know,
<v Speaker 3>he wasn't necessarily a spring chicken before the event. A
<v Speaker 3>show to help Stu is being put on by Valor
<v Speaker 3>Pro Wrestling on November fifteenth. Malo is excited to see
<v Speaker 3>Stu there and give him a big hug. To this point,
<v Speaker 3>Malo has tried to mostly avoid reaching out to Stue
<v Speaker 3>directly because he doesn't want Stu to have to relive
<v Speaker 3>the trauma that he experienced. Malo also said that he
<v Speaker 3>hoped Stu could at the very least do some work
<v Speaker 3>in the wrestling world that did not require getting physical.
<v Speaker 3>He also said at some point he might file a
<v Speaker 3>civil suit against Rajah, noting the attack of him with
<v Speaker 3>a hefty hospital bill that he is still on the
<v Speaker 3>hook for so. It took long enough, but good. The
<v Speaker 3>wheels of justice turned very slowly, but hopefully Rajah Jackson
<v Speaker 3>will get what he has coming to him. Former ECWWCW
<v Speaker 3>and WWE star Raven scott Levy revealed that he has
<v Speaker 3>been diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's disease. Appearing on Wednesday's
<v Speaker 3>Ariel Helwane Show. He was promoting his new documentary Never
<v Speaker 3>More The Raven Effect, which hits Amazon Prime on November eighteenth,
<v Speaker 3>and he said that at this point in his life,
<v Speaker 3>he is as content as I've ever been, other than
<v Speaker 3>this stupid tremor I got from the Parkinson's. Helwani mentioned
<v Speaker 3>that he noticed in the documentary that he was suffering
<v Speaker 3>from the disease and asked how he is doing with it.
<v Speaker 3>Raven said, I'm lucky it hasn't affected me too bad.
<v Speaker 3>When I get anxious the tremor gets worse, or if
<v Speaker 3>I'm really tired, I have a sleep disorder. You gotta
<v Speaker 3>pay the piper sometime for all the drugs and alcohol
<v Speaker 3>and share shots I took to the head. You gotta
<v Speaker 3>pay for the damage at some point, admitting that those
<v Speaker 3>three things resulted in his current state. He also admitted
<v Speaker 3>that he has tons of regrets and that anyone that
<v Speaker 3>says they don't is full of shit, but he would
<v Speaker 3>not have changed anything. He said, it made me who
<v Speaker 3>I am. I am happy with who I am. I
<v Speaker 3>would rather be happy with who I am at the
<v Speaker 3>end of my life rather than earlier in my life
<v Speaker 3>and not be happy.
<v Speaker 1>At the end.
<v Speaker 3>Also on the health front, we had former WWE star
<v Speaker 3>and Nexus member Michael Tarvor. He revealed that he recently
<v Speaker 3>suffered a stroke. Sharing a message about the experience Wednesday
<v Speaker 3>on his Instagram, he said, last night I was told
<v Speaker 3>I was having a stroke. I don't ever emotever sell,
<v Speaker 3>as we say in the wrestling business, where I spent
<v Speaker 3>twenty years of my life, I told nobody until I
<v Speaker 3>was forced to last night.
<v Speaker 1>I had at.
<v Speaker 3>Two to two over a one fourteen blood pressure reading,
<v Speaker 3>and the few people I told right before taking myself
<v Speaker 3>to the er. I'm thankful for your persistence and also
<v Speaker 3>that I actually listened. I was in my bed for
<v Speaker 3>a few hours as they were testing and working to
<v Speaker 3>get my blood pressure down, and I actually started to
<v Speaker 3>have thoughts about my mortality. What a way to die.
<v Speaker 3>I worked two jobs, I trained twice a day. I've
<v Speaker 3>never drank or smoked in my life, and to fall
<v Speaker 3>asleep and not wake up because of my blood pressure.
<v Speaker 3>I thought about my babies, who are all adults now.
<v Speaker 3>In all of my years of fighting depression and suicide
<v Speaker 3>attempts over the past twenty years, I thought about my family,
<v Speaker 3>and I just felt this overwhelming responsibility to get up
<v Speaker 3>out of that bed and live. I haven't shared this
<v Speaker 3>much detail with anyone, as I am still processing all
<v Speaker 3>of the weird emotions that I'm being overcome with. But
<v Speaker 3>the sun came up, and so did I. That is
<v Speaker 3>a terrible blood pressure reading, by the way, that's very scary.
<v Speaker 3>He's forty eight years old. I mean, look, strokes can
<v Speaker 3>happen at any age, but you worry more about it
<v Speaker 3>as you get older. You know, you worry about a
<v Speaker 3>lot of things the older you get. But I mean
<v Speaker 3>he's not exactly an old man. He has not wrestled
<v Speaker 3>since twenty twenty one. I don't think he's actively wrestling anymore.
<v Speaker 3>But scary experience, but thankfully he went to the hospital
<v Speaker 3>and got the help he needed. And one more health
<v Speaker 3>note here, it feels like the sky is falling.
<v Speaker 1>Man.
<v Speaker 3>We talk about the Rajah Jackson stuff. We talked about
<v Speaker 3>Kodyaboushi and his broken femur, talked about a whole bunch
<v Speaker 3>of different things here, but former Men on a Mission
<v Speaker 3>member Moe of Moe and Mabel Fame real name Bobby Horn.
<v Speaker 3>He could use some positive vibes right now. He is
<v Speaker 3>currently in the hospital in the intensive care unit with
<v Speaker 3>a severe blood infection and pneumonia, So all the best
<v Speaker 3>to him. Dark Side of the Ring is returning for
<v Speaker 3>a seventh season. Speaking of Rajai Jackson, I think he'll
<v Speaker 3>make for a great episode one day. Maybe when they
<v Speaker 3>get to like season ten, they could do an episode
<v Speaker 3>on him and his father. They could cover his upbringing
<v Speaker 3>and the incident and the time that he's about to
<v Speaker 3>spend in the Big House behind bars. A PW insider
<v Speaker 3>reported on Tuesday that the show has been renewed for
<v Speaker 3>a seventh season by Vice TV. Additionally, they report that
<v Speaker 3>the series is actively shooting new episodes and was filming
<v Speaker 3>several weeks ago in Louisville, Kentucky. Isn't that where Cornette is?
<v Speaker 3>I wonder if they were filming stuff with him. The
<v Speaker 3>sixth season premiered back in March, with shows focusing on
<v Speaker 3>Superstar Billy Graham, Billy Jack Haynes, Daphne Ludvig Borga, and
<v Speaker 3>Mohammad Ali, Muhammad Ali, Mohammad Hamad Ali, Mohammed Hassan. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>he does have a connection to wrestling. But so you know,
<v Speaker 3>we look ahead here to the seven season. I still
<v Speaker 3>watch it. I know some people have checked out in
<v Speaker 3>recent seasons, but I'll enjoy doing the reviews. I think
<v Speaker 3>you guys enjoyed me doing the reviews. I get a
<v Speaker 3>lot of positive feedback to them. So you know, once
<v Speaker 3>the new season drops, I'm sure we'll bring back the reviews.
<v Speaker 3>As far as potential topics for a seven season, Hulk Hogan,
<v Speaker 3>who just passed away, you could probably get an entire
<v Speaker 3>season out of just Hogan alone, his entire life. But
<v Speaker 3>I did mention, you know, at the end of last season,
<v Speaker 3>I mentioned that there was talk of a Trent Acid episode.
<v Speaker 3>Acid was a big independent name who died of a
<v Speaker 3>drug overdose about fifteen years ago, so that's one possibility.
<v Speaker 3>But I just mocked up a short list here, and
<v Speaker 3>these are a lot of names you've heard me mentioned before.
<v Speaker 3>I think that you could choose from any of these names.
<v Speaker 3>They would be an appropriate subject for an episode. Rick
<v Speaker 3>rud and his untimely passing, Perry Saturn, Mike Awesome, and
<v Speaker 3>I think there's a reason why the Mike Awesome episode
<v Speaker 3>is not going to get done has to do with
<v Speaker 3>his ex wife, but he would be a good topic
<v Speaker 3>for one of these episodes. Ashley Massorrow is definitely a
<v Speaker 3>dark side of the ring story to Keshi Morishima is
<v Speaker 3>another one. Crash Holly Right. I think a real name,
<v Speaker 3>Mike Lockwood, Rock and Roll, buck Zumov, that piece of shit.
<v Speaker 3>He could have his own episode. Sweet and Sour. Larry Sweeney,
<v Speaker 3>I'll keep mentioning him. I think he would be an
<v Speaker 3>interesting topic as well, and I think there are some
<v Speaker 3>good lessons that could be learned from his story as well.
<v Speaker 3>And then, of course you could always do one on
<v Speaker 3>the speaking out movement from twenty twenty and all the
<v Speaker 3>names that it took down again, they may want to
<v Speaker 3>put some more distance between that and the time they
<v Speaker 3>do that episode, but there were a lot of names,
<v Speaker 3>a lot of independent names that were fairly big on
<v Speaker 3>the wrestling scene who you don't hear about anymore. So
<v Speaker 3>it took down a lot of people. I think that
<v Speaker 3>could definitely be an episode they do at some point
<v Speaker 3>in the future. I'm going to get back to your
<v Speaker 3>mail beg questions next week. I just there's so much
<v Speaker 3>going on this week and I just did not have
<v Speaker 3>time to just go through everything. We'll get back to
<v Speaker 3>that next week. I did want to share an email though,
<v Speaker 3>that I got here and some advice from one of
<v Speaker 3>our longtime listeners. Shout out to Jacob. This is what
<v Speaker 3>he wrote in and just wanted me to share, urging
<v Speaker 3>others to seek out therapy or any other source of
<v Speaker 3>mental health assistance if they needed. He says, I'm a
<v Speaker 3>federal worker who has had the constant fear of losing
<v Speaker 3>my dream job held over me this year, and have
<v Speaker 3>had other personal issues that trouble me each day. Then
<v Speaker 3>I recently lost my grandpa who raised me as his son.
<v Speaker 3>All this has weighed on me heavily and brought me
<v Speaker 3>to a place where I thought there wasn't any way
<v Speaker 3>out except the end. I felt so sick one day
<v Speaker 3>that I had to find a therapist before I could
<v Speaker 3>do anything that I would regret.
<v Speaker 1>It saved me.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not back in a good place, but I know
<v Speaker 3>I can get better now. I just want to urge
<v Speaker 3>others to seek help if they need it, because I
<v Speaker 3>know others who write in also struggled with various issues.
<v Speaker 3>Thank you, Solo Monster. I'll be here at the House
<v Speaker 3>of Glory show in Chicago soon well, Jacob. I hope
<v Speaker 3>I get to see you there. And that is great
<v Speaker 3>advice for anyone listening. Whatever form of help you may
<v Speaker 3>want to seek out, it really doesn't matter. Even just
<v Speaker 3>talking to a friend or a family member sometimes can
<v Speaker 3>be incredibly helpful. But just know that there is someone
<v Speaker 3>out there to speak with who can help talk you
<v Speaker 3>down from the proverbial ledge, because that is not a
<v Speaker 3>place that you or anyone else should ever feel like
<v Speaker 3>you have to be. Thank you, guys for all of
<v Speaker 3>the support and all the love this week and every
<v Speaker 3>week again.
<v Speaker 1>You can subscribe to the.
<v Speaker 3>YouTube channel you can find all the live stream content
<v Speaker 3>there Solo Monster sounds up. You can follow me on
<v Speaker 3>X at Solam Monster. I am hoping to go live
<v Speaker 3>tonight after TNA Bound for Glory.
<v Speaker 1>That is the plan.
<v Speaker 3>If I could actually put some artwork together here, which
<v Speaker 3>I'm going to have to go right to as soon
<v Speaker 3>as I'm done here. That's the next the order of
<v Speaker 3>business here, So hopefully I'm able to do that. Tomorrow.
<v Speaker 3>Raw is live at eight am. It's another early WWE
<v Speaker 3>show because they're still in Australia. I have no idea
<v Speaker 3>when I'm going live. I would rather not wait until
<v Speaker 3>ten o'clock or eleven o'clock at night. I'm sure I'm
<v Speaker 3>not going to wait. It could be eight o'clock, it
<v Speaker 3>could be earlier. I don't know what's going on. Just
<v Speaker 3>follow me on x I'll keep you guys posted. But
<v Speaker 3>I will be live at some point tomorrow for the
<v Speaker 3>RAW review. I hope you can join me for that.
<v Speaker 3>Of course, we have Tuesday Night Titans on JD's channel.
<v Speaker 3>On Tuesday, we're back in our normal time slot. Wednesday
<v Speaker 3>is Dynamite three hours apparently Friday, that's the noise I make.
<v Speaker 3>I would be saying that, by the way, if it
<v Speaker 3>was WWE two, there's just no need to have a
<v Speaker 3>three hour fucking show. Friday is SmackDown. I know Wressell
<v Speaker 3>Dream is next weekend. I'll keep you posting on that.
<v Speaker 3>We may cover that on the SoundOff next Sunday. But
<v Speaker 3>next Sunday, I'm back with you. Episode nine thirty four
<v Speaker 3>of The Solemn Monster Sounds off, Same Bat time, same
<v Speaker 3>Bat channel. Joseph Stewart, I know you're out there. I
<v Speaker 3>know you're a big Batman fan, so I know you'll
<v Speaker 3>be tuned in. Be well, stay safe. Oh my god,
<v Speaker 3>the wind and rain in New York today is out
<v Speaker 3>of control. Hopefully I don't get blown away, and if
<v Speaker 3>I don't, I will see you back here for more
<v Speaker 3>sound Off next weekend.
<v Speaker 1>Until then, take care, guys.
<v Speaker 2>The Solon Monster sounds off.
<v Speaker 3>In the back Becky Lynch approach Maxine Dupre and Akira Tozawa.
<v Speaker 3>She mocked Dupree for being a loser. Lynch called herself
<v Speaker 3>the greatest of all time and reminded us that everybody
<v Speaker 3>was saying it, including Sports Illustrated and the Bleacher Report.
<v Speaker 3>You know what I think I'm gonna do? You know,
<v Speaker 3>usually I wait until the end of the Year for this,
<v Speaker 3>you know, and I announced her Wrestler of the Year
<v Speaker 3>and all that kind of stuff. I'm gonna make a
<v Speaker 3>declaration right now that officially Solo Monster Sounds Off approved.
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch is the best wrestler in the world.
<v Speaker 3>So if we get that out there, she can incorporate
<v Speaker 3>that into her promo so she could go, I'm not
<v Speaker 3>the only one saying it. ESPN is saying it, the
<v Speaker 3>Bleacher Report is saying it, even the Solo Monster is
<v Speaker 3>saying it.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 3>Well, we'll hear that each week on the show. Let's
<v Speaker 3>spread the word. Becky Lynch is the best wrestler in
<v Speaker 3>the world. EO Sky number two.
<v Speaker 2>Well. Solo Monster Sounds Off since two thousand and seven,
<v Speaker 2>bringing you the good, the bad, and the ugly. Check
<v Speaker 2>out the weekly live streams bonus content for subscribers, and
