Amen. So today's Bible reading is the Book of Proverbs chapter twenty eight,

verses one through fourteen. Recommended reading is Psalm fifty one. His whole

chapter one, verses five through ten. The title of this commentary is coming

Proverbs. Okay, so here we go. Edgar Allen Poe's short story The

Tales Heart offers the gruesome account of a murderer who hides his victim's body under

the floor boards of his house. The murderer, confident that he has committed

the perfect crime, and vice police investigators it to his home. He cheerly

answers their questions, convinced that nothing in his demeanor will give him away.

However, the murderer doesn't expect to hear the sound of a beating heart coming

from beneath his floor. He wonders why the police officers don't notice the sound,

After all, it's loud enough for him to hear. He tries to

stay nonchalant, but the heart beat grows louder and louder in his ears.

Still the officers don't notice. Finally, unable to take it anymore, the

man shrieks his confession and begs the police officers to tear up the floor and

remove the body anything to quiet to tail heart. Not all offenses result in

such dramatic confessions. In fact, many people don't feel the need to confess

their sins to God, ignoring his propton to come clean. Solomon reveals the

foolishness of self of such self delusion. Simply put, trying to hide sin

from God interrupts and weakens your relationship with him. When you confess what you've

done and sincerely ask for God's forgiveness, the distance closes and your relationship heals.

God doesn't put a statue of limitations on sin, so any obstacles you

put in the way of your relationship with Him remain there until you take action

to remove them. However, if you're sincere about wanting God's forgiveness, you'll

receive it. Amen. Things that take away from the commentary are you sincere

about wanting God's forgiveness? And what ways does your life show this to be

true? Is there unconfessed in your life right now? If so, what

effect is it having on your relationship with God? On your own self respect?

What do you need to do in order to relieve yourself of guilt and

patch up your relationship with God, quote unquote. In other words, the

how you're feeling, any secret sins, to spare it all to him,
