Bible. Ready, We'll just go through the commentary, and then from there

we'll close out with a prayer. We'll close out with a priestly blessing,

and we'll close like if all the praise, honor and glory to the most

hot God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and praise It's only begond'send death

thresh sin saying, man Hallu y'all. So this commentary is gonna be like

a POV kind of one about Elijah. All right, So here we go

to life Elijah. Then Elijah stretched himself out on the boy three times and

cried to the Lord, oh Lord, my God, let this boy's life

return to him. The Lord heard Elijah's cry, and the boy's life returned

to him, and he lived one Kings, Chapter seventeen, verses twenty one

through twenty two. The boy left limp and leading as the prophet carried him

up the narrow stairway. The prophet ducked his head and stepped into the half

darkness of his little room. On the roof, he laid the lad's lifeless

body on the bed, the woman's cry still ringing his ears. Is this

why I have come to kill a poor widow'd son for her sins? Is

that what I do as a man of God? Is that what you,

Lord do as God? Looking down at the boy, he saw moltes of

dust sinking through the shaft of sunlight. Dust, we are only dust.

Will you make dust live again? He stretched himself out over the child under

the lad's cold skin. His bones were angular and hard. Lord, let

this boy's life return to him. The prophet stood and looked down at the

woman's son. Only the smokes of dust moved in the sunlight. The child

no longer looked like himself. His face seemed sculpted of clay. During this

long famine, the boy has eaten nothing but oil, cakes. And now

the clay has return and took the clay. Is this not better? Why

should he return to a land of famine? Elies aside heavily and stretched himself

over the boy once more, Lord, let this boy's life return to him.

The object of his supplication lay unmoving. Surely this is better. The

prophet stood once more. He heard the woman crying in the house below.

As long as she lives, she will remember the boy's arm flung to one

side as I carried him from the room. Each day, she would calculate

the lad's age if he had lived. She would mentally mark when he might

have taken a wife, when he might have placed his own children in her

arms, when he might have taken his place with the other men in the

city gate. The man of God flung himself unto the boy a third time,

and hurled his words against a silent heaven. O, Lord, my

God, let this boy's life return to him. The prophet lay still.

A hard angular shoulder moved against him, pushing him away. The prophet heard

an intake of breath. He moved back, quickly, taking back the immediacy

of God's answer to his fervent request. He sat on the bed for a

moment, and listen to the boy breathing in and out. Thank you,

Lord, the prophet whispered, for the signal of your great power and for

your great love, even for this lone widow and her son. You alone

are the God of life. You alone can have done this. Only you

could have done this. That he gently lifted a child and stepped through the

moors the motes of dust into the sunlight. Amen, y'all, Amen.

Back to the future, Elijah repeatedly asked God to bring the boy back to

life. How can you resist the urge to give up when God doesn't seem

to be answering your prayers? How can we be sure that God hears our

prayers? What promises has he given us? Jesus came so that we might

have life to the full abundantly, And what ways Jesus has given you life?

Chapter seventeen, Verses seven through twenty four. Other scriptures about Elijah may be

verse twelve. All right, so this is like a POV kind of flashback,

detailed kind of commentary of Elijah Hill and the Boy ain'men and these times

restoration, deliverance, life, man all types. People need help, prayers,

widows, orphans, parents, children, my elders, men, women,

everybody needs something from the Lord. We all need the Lord something in
