Job did not send by charging God with wrongdoing. Job's second test. On

another day, the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan

also came with them to present himself before him. And the Lord said to

Satan, where have you come from? Saying, answered the Lord, from

Roman, through the earth, and going back and forth in it. Then

the Lord said to Satan, have you considered my servant Job. There is

no one on earth like him. He is blameless and upright, a man

who fears God and Shun's evil, and he still maintains his integrity, though

you incited me against him, to ruin him without any reason. Skin for

skin, Satan replied, a man will give all he has for his own

So Satan went out from the president of the Lord and afflicted Job with

painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.

Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it. As

he sat among the ashes, his wife said to him, are you still

holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die? He replied, you

are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God and not

trouble and all this? Job did not sin in what he said. Amen.

the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom?

He promised those who love him. But you have insult to the poor.

Is it not the rich who are exploiting you. Are they not the

ones who are dragging you into the court? Are they not the ones who

are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong. If you really

keep the royal law found in scripture, love your neighbor as yourself, you

are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted

by the law as law breakers. For whoever keeps the whole law on your

stumbles at just one point, it's guilty of breaking all of it. For

he who said do not commit adultery also said do not murder. If you

do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

Speaking actors, those who are going to be judged by the law that

gives freedom, Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not

been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Faith and deeds. What good is

it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no

deeds, can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sisters without closing

daily food. If one of you says to them, go, I wish

you well, keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about his physical

needs. What good is it? M In the same way, faith by

itself, it is not accompanied by action, is dead. All right?

The title of this commentary is pop quiz. This is a test whether

little words can raise the blood pressure and increased the anxiety level even the coolest

and most collective of men. Test plays an important role in an Old Testament,

confirming both our faith and God's goodness. David came to realize this when

he was tested. He learned to depend on God's unfailing love. When we

face test, physical, financial, emotional, or vocational, God wants to

see whether we will trust him. These difficult experiences reveal our true values,

our commitments, and our beliefs. While tests aren't necessarily pleasant, they can't

teach us significant lessons about ourselves. Our times of test and stretch our spiritual

muscles, strengthen our faith and forge our character. God's tests develop us into

people of strong spirit resolve. Take away the tests and we risk being becoming

spiritual whimps. Think back to the time when you were tested. How many

such tests have become cherished memories of lessons learned in other rewards of perseverance.

Often our tested situation becomes stories We finally tell our children to help them understand

where where we've been and to give them perspective on their own lives. And

especially, tough teacher who challenged your resolve to work hard on a difficult job

that forced you to grit your teeth and grow professionally. A conflict with a

family member that eventually drew you closer to one another. A difficult breakup that

led you to the love of your life. As you consider where testing has

taken you, consider as well where your current areas of testing are likely to

lead. Today's struggle could pave the way for tomorrow's growth. Amen. Things

that take away from the commentary and what areas of life are you feeling tested

as you reflect on a difficult trial you're facing? Now? Try to identify

as spiritual component in your testing circumstances. How will you show God that you

trust him, trust in him, people, trust in Him forever? How
