Bible reading is the Book of Job chapter twenty two and his whole entirety.

replied, can a man be of benefit to God? Can even a wise

man benefit him? What pleasure would it give the Almighty if you were righteous?

What would he gain if your ways were blameless? Is it for your

pity that he rebukes you and brings charges against you? Is not your wickedness?

for no reason. You strip men of their clothing, leaving them naked.

You gave no water to the weary, and you withheld food from the hungry,

though you were a powerful man owning land and an honored man living on

fatherless. That is why snares are all around you, Why sudden peril terrifies

you, Why it is so dark you cannot see, and why a flood

of water covers you. Is not God in the heights of heaven? And

see how lofty are the highest stars. Yet you say, what does God

does? He? Just through such darkness, thick clouds veil him, so

he does not see us as he goes about in the evoluted heavens, vaulted

heavens. Will you keep to the old path that evil men have trod.

They were carried off before their time, their foundations washed away by a flood.

They said, to God, leave us alone. What can the Almighty

do to us? Yet it was he who filled their houses with good things.

So I stand aloof from the counsel of the wicked, the right to

see their ruin and rejoice. The innocent mocked them, saying, surely our

foes are destroyed, and fire devours their wealth. Submit to God and be

at peace with him. In this way, prospected will come to you except

exstruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart. If

you return to the Almighty, you will be restored. If you remove wickedness

far from your heart, from your tent, and assign your nuggets to the

The choice is silver for you. Surely then you will find delight in

the Almighty, and you will lift up your face to God. You will

your ways when men are brought up, when men are brought low, and

you say, lift them up, then he will save the downcast. He

will deliver even one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the

cleanness of your hands. All right, So that's the Book of Job,

chapter twenty two and in centireety. Okay, So in the story of Job,

we know what Job was going through what have you. But his three

friends had came along, and when they first came they actually comforted him and

helped them and what have you. And we stood quiet. But once they

started to open our mouth, they started like criticizing Job and started making it

seem like Job did something wrong to seem to that's why he was going through

what is going through. And Job's friends and even his wife, they didn't

see that it was a test from God. They just we're kind of,

you know, really criticizing Job and really you know, talking to him in

a certain way and about God a certain way. So that's why the end

of the story of Job. God rebuked Job's friends because they didn't speak well

the most high and how the most high operation when it comes to tests and

what have you. But Job was standing firm in God's word and trusting him

through it all. So Job's friends actually didn't really comfort it. Once they

open their mouth, they didn't really help. They kind of was just criticizing

him and kind of, you know, add an insult to injury already.

You know, sometimes people can do that sometimes when you're going through something we

have, you people's extra words or extra opinions. You know, it just

kind of weighs down on the situation, not ready as it is, you

know. So we got to always cling on the God's word and trust got

through it all, and not always be swayed left and right by someone's opinion

and criticism. Because a lot of times some of y'all, Chris as well,

get to y'all a little too much. And you can't always let that

get under your skin. Okay, we have to always be firm in God's

word and be unmovable in the faith a man. So that is the less

we could get out of job whole story. Through it all, especially Job

chapter twenty too. Okay, So now what I'm gonna do is read recommended

ring scriptures attached to it. Okay. So the first recommended ring scripture is

the Book of Numbers, chapter sixteen, verse three. They came as a

group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, you have gone too

far. The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the

Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord's assembly?

All right? So that's Numbers, chapter sixteen, verse three. All

right, So just some examples like this always shows how when certain men of

the most high are going through something, or people in general going through something,

people really get riled up and prideful and arrogant hoddy and just start kind

of saying random stuff out of emotions and stuff. You know. That's why

it's when we learn our own understanding. Okay. So we got always be

calm, patient and still all right, and always trusting the Lord. So

that was the first recommended recommended ring scripture. The second recommended reing scripture is

the Book of Proverbs chapter six versus sixt team through nineteen. All Right,

there are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable tom, haughty

eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shut innocent blood, a heart that

divises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to run into evil, a false

witness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up discord among brethren

around brothers. All right, So that talks about the things God hates.

That's an abomination. God hates haughty eyes, arrogant people, a lying tongue,

you know, hands that shut innocent blood, a heart that divises wicked

schemes, that doesn't have good intentions, feet that are so fast doing bad,

doing harmor running to evil. A false witness will constantly give our false

accusations and falsely accused of people, and false lives and pouring out lies.

And a man who stirs up discord, who causes strife among people, you

know. So we got to be mindful of what God hates. Okay,

And the most heart does not approve of what I'm saying. So we got

to understand true holiness truly fears the Lord of respecting how he views things.

Away he made amen. So that's Proverbs chapter six, verses sixteenth, sixteenth

through nineteen. All right, Now, the next recommend ring scripture is the

Book of Second Corinthians, chapter eight, verses twenty through twenty one. All

Right, we want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal

gift, for we are taking pains to do what is right, not only

in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of men.

actual commentary itself. Okay. The title of this commentary is Job's performance review.

Former hockey goalie Jah quiz Plant once equipped and said, how would you

like a job where if you make a mistake, a big red light goes

on and eighteen thousand people boo at you. Job didn't face eighteen thousand people

booing him eighteen thousand booing people, just a few so called friends who made

false accusations about his performance as a righteous man. Eli Faz started his attack

on Job by criticizing his supposed lack of holiness. He accused Job of with

holding water from the thirsty, keeping food from the hungry, and turning away

widows. Eli Faz claimed that Job's problems stemmed from his wicked heart. However,

Elivefas criticism was unfounded. God wouldn't have made Job the poster child of

righteousness if he'd really committed such horrible acts. We all deal with criticism,

but how we respond to it often determines how we feel about ourselves. Most

of us respond in one of three ways. One we deny the accusation,

two we become defensive and feel victimized, or three we look for what might

be true about the criticism and we weed out what's not true. Quite often,

critics just want to help solve problems. They're not out to get the

person they're evaluating. If someone's criticism carries a seat of truth, we need

to acknowledge our mistakes and make corrections in that area of our life. By

doing this, we honor the critics judgment, and we show a willingness to

take responsibility without feeling victimized. However, some critics use words to degrade and

control others. We don't have to let them make our lives miserable. Job

allowed eLife As to vent, but Job didn't let the criticism define him.

He was secure in the integrity of his actions, and that allowed him to

deflect unfounded criticism. Poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said criticism should not be curious

and wasting all knife and root puller, but guiding, instructive, inspiring.

False criticism never needs to define your self worth. If someone throws an unjust

accusation your way, don't let it get under your skin, look past it

and move on. But if the critics' words ring true, use them to

make yourself a better person. Amen. Things that take away from the commentary

how do you handle criticism? How does pride affect the way you respond to

criticism? Would you describe your words of criticism towards others as cutting and destructive

or as guiding, instructive, and inspiring quote unquote. In other words,

don't mind criticism if it is untrue, disregarded, if it is unfair,

keep from irritation. If it is ignorant, smile. If it is justified,

then learn from it quote unknown. All right, So when we get

out of this is always staying strong on God's words, sticking to our integrity

through any type of criticism we deal with. Now, if the criticism is

helpful and does benefit us in the iron sharpess, aren't and we learn from

intake it because even the Book of Proverbs, it says a person who hates

correction is stupid. All right, A lot of times you do want to

hear some things from certain people you don't. But we got to learn how

to get out of our own way to see our own wrongs. Okay,

a lot of times with a lot of things everybody do is wrong, me

and you, all of us. Right, So the word constantly straightening us.

Our God constantly teaches us. His word constantly shows us where we need

to be better at in our lives. What have you? And sometimes even

a person could acknowledge or see something that you're not willing technology to see in

yourself, right, because some people tend to be pride for in denial or

you know, arrogant audio with ever. But we got to constantly keep humbling

ourselves before God every day. We have the constant keep repeating, repenting every

day, or keep seeking His face every day, keep asking for wisdom,

guidance, knowledge, understanding through a situation or what have you. All Right,

So let's be better when it comes to our choices, discretion, judging

ourselves or even you know, have righteous judgment. Let's not be all nitpicky

and what have you. Let's be helpful with God's word with it, you

know what I'm saying. So let us always be helpful and helping other people

and their choices and their evaluation and evaluating their actions and less ourselves. We

got always in that mirror. Okay. So that is the commentary. Okay.
