do like a pov kind of interview. It's kind of like a flashback interview

we go, friend at arms, Jonathan, David took up the lament.

I agree for you, Jonathan, my brother, you very dear to me,

tewod Samuel chapter one versus seventeen and also verse twenty six. Right,

here's the commentary, David, you probably knew Jonathan better than anyone else.

Did tell us a few of your earliest memories of him? And my teenage

years I heard stories about Jonathan. He had the kind of courage and radical

trust in God that I wanted. Probably his most famous adventure was taking on

a fortified Philistine stronghold, backed up only by his armor bearer. He was

the kind of hero and leader who commanded respect. His men were willing to

die for him because they saw their share the same commitment in him. How

did you meet? While I had that tangle with the giant Goliath? And

Jonathan's father, King Sau was grateful. Later, the king offered his daughter

Macall to be my wife. And all I had to do make myself,

make myself worthy, was to supply an unusual bridal gift involving an involuntary circumcision

of two hundred Philistines. Jonathan approached me and told me it looked like we

were going to be brothers in law, so welcome to the family. We

hit it off right away. I've never known anyone else like him. He

had every reason to consider me a competitor, but he chose to be my

friend. In fact, he's just about the only true friend I've ever had.

He was King Saul's oldest son and in line for the throne, but

he decided to befriend me, the last born in my family. We trusted

each other with our lives. Eventually, Jonathan's father was trying to kill you,

and Jonathan was trying to keep you alive. How do you think he

balanced it competing loyalties? Jonathan never chose size between his father and me.

I think it's because he had a higher allegiance to God. He treated us

both in the way that honored God. He found ways to be a loyal

son and a loyal friend at the same time. How will you remember him?

I still more for his loss. I've decided that I will do everything

in my power to honor our friendship by helping any members of his family who

are still alive. He will always be my idea of a real friend.

I was never able to fully express how much his example meant to me.

He was the kind of older brother my seven natural brothers never turned out to

All right, So it's always amazing to have great friends, great brothers and

sisters, and the lord awesome people you meet along the way. There's always

those few rare individuals you meet in life that are really awesome and do right

by you, and that's very rare. Man. So we have to look

for better friends. We ourselves have to be better friends as well. Okay,

you know people they don't. People today don't really value bonds and friendships

or what have you. But we can't get through life all by ourselves.

You know, friends are always important, man. What are friends for?

Right? So it's always important to have strong brothers and sisters in the faith

with you because you know, it's just very important just for support, your

balance, you know, just stability, emotional stability, what have you someone

you could talk to, pray with, go to war with, enjoyed times

with you. No, because in these last days that are written, many

people hearts are waxing cold, as a messiah said, you know, because

the love will grow cold. People hearts will wax cold because of how messed

up people going to be. The level of offense. You know, it's

gonna be a lot of disrespect, a lot of betrayal, a lot of

wrongdoing between man, you know, between each other. So it separates people.

Caused isolation, caused people to be anti social. Have they guard up,

have trust issues? You know, be suspicious, be self conscious,

all these things. But we're a friend of God, you know what I

mean, And we're all made his image of likeness. We shouldn't have a

problem getting along with someone or trying to understand someone, to having capassion what

have you. And even a Messiah he said, we're not even service,

we're friends, you know. And how how true love is a man who

laid out his life for his friends. I just did that commentary, that

scripture just the other day, So you know, friendships are important, man.

You know, valuing each other is important. And that's not really taught

no more. That's not stressed no more. Because with all this social media,

the way pop culture is, the way people treat each other, we

just live in a messed up generation, you know what I mean. So

it causes people to just stay to themselves and be isolated in the loners or

introverted or what have you. But you can't always go through life like that.

You know, life is a lot better and experienced and have good memories

with certain individuals. You know, it's always good to be like, hey,

remember when we did this and that in this time period. You have

photos of them or you know, videos whatever, it's always good to share

save memories, man, because those are priceless, you know. And then

I know, from a spiritual standpoint, we're all going through a phase of

being refined, purified, set apart and holy. But that don't mean we

got to be robots, you know what I'm saying. I don't mean we

got to be too religious about it. You know, even the Bible and

ecclesiast tt to not be too righteous or too wives or also ruin ourselves,

you know. So you got to lighten down a little bit, let your

hair down, and cool off a bit. You know, when you're around

good, positive, fun, loving people, that really helps the process as

well, you know. So let us be more better as friends, and

let us have better friends as well. Let us not have ill will or

bad attentions when we meet people into people's lives. To us always be you

know, loving, Mankaren. And just how people in the descriptures were,

you know what I'm saying, because as holy as these people were in the

Bible, they understood the value of friendships and people and community and being around

each other and your neighbor and all these different things. So we got to

be a lot better in those areas of our lives. Aymen, we pray

that God improves in better our social skills. Okay, Let let God's word

teach us how to be better in our social lives than letting the world teach

us, you know, because if you keep laying pop culture and social media

and TV influence you on how to deal with people, it's going to steer

you off there, steer you on to the wrong path. So this narrow

path the path and most have got for us the most how to bring good

people along our journey. Amen. And we'll be good a blessing to someone.
