Okay, people, most definitely. All right. So now today's message,

we're going to go through this commentary in the Book of Second Samuel,

chapter twenty four, verses one through seventeen. So we'll go through this Bible

reading that would go through the recommended reading scriptures. They will go through the

actual commentary, and then from there we will close out with a prayer.

We will close out with a priestly blessing, and we will close out giving

all the praise, honor gloryd to the most hot God of Abraham, Isaac

and Jacob, and praise is only begond Son, who died for our sins.

Ay Man hallu y'all. So this commentary, this was when the Lord

was angry at David for not trusting in him, when he got tricked and

misled into listening to the Satan, for counting this army we have you instead

of trusting the Lord. So we're going to go through this commentary. Okay,

So today's Bible reading the Book of two Samuel, chapter twenty four,

verses one through seventeen. So here we go. David counts the fighting men

again. The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and he incited David

against them. Saying, go and take the sentence of Israel and Judah.

So the King said to Joab and the army commanders with him, go throughout

the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and enroll the fighting men,

so that I may know how many there are. But joe Ab replied

to the King, may the Lord your God multiply the troops a hundred times

over and made the eyes of my lord the King see it. May the

King see it, But why does my lord the King want to do such

a thing. The King's word, however, overruled Joab and the army commanders,

so they left the presence of the king to enroll the fighting men of

Israel. After crossing the Jordan the camp near Aurora south of the town and

the gorg Jay, and then went through God and onto Jasir, they went

to Galad and the region of to Thim Tatim Hatshai, and on to Dan

Jaan and around Sa'adan towards Sa'adan. Then then they went toward the fortress of

Tire and all the towns of the Hivites and Canaanites. Finally they went on

to Beersheba and the Negev of Judah. After they had gone through the entire

land, they came back to Jerusalem. At the end of nine months and

twenty days. Joe Ab reported the number of the fighting men to the King

and Israel. There were eight hundred thousand abled body men who could handle a

sword, and in Judah five hundred thousand. David was conscious stricten after he

had counted the fighting men, and he said to the Lord, I have

sinned greatly and what I have done. Now, Oh Lord, I beg

you take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish

thing. Before David got up the next morning, the word if the Lord

had came to had come to God, the prophet David's sir, go and

tell David, this is what the Lord says. I am giving you three

options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you. So

God went to David and said to him, shall there come upon you three

years of famine in your land, or three months of fleeing from your enemies

while they pursue you, or three days of plague in your land? Now,

then think it over and decide how it should answer. The one who

sent me David said to God, I am in deep distress. Let us

fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great. But

do not let me fall into the hands of men. So the Lord sent

a plague on Israel from that morning until the end of the time and of

the time designated, and seventy thousand other people from Dan to Beersheba died when

the angel stretched out his hand to destroy the Jerusalem. The Lord was grieved

because of the calamity and said to the angel, who's afflicting the people,

enough, withdraw your hand. The Angel of the Lord was then at the

threshing floor of Aruna, the Jebusite. When David saw the angel who was

striking down the people, he said to the Lord, I'm the one who

has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep, what have they done?

Let your hand fall upon me and my family? All right? Second

Samuel, chapter twenty four, verses one through seventeen, reading all right,

so we see God's anger and wrath just through that situation. That's how angry

and he gets when we disobey. You know, we don't listen to him,

we don't bebey them, we don't trust in him. Us anger and

wrath is there, but we know that he is slow to anger. He's

a merciful god and he's very gracious as well. So there's a lot of

things throughout our lifetime. Me and you, many of us have done that

really angered the Lord. But as grace and mercy definitely supersedes that, love

covers all sins. So when we really repent, turn from our ways and

have accountability and own up to what have you and cry to the Lord about

it, then we're able to move forward through that. Okay. So we

have to be more better with our choices and how we handle matters of situations.

Okay. So that was today's barbery within the commentary. Now we were

going to the recommended reading. Let us go to First Chronicles, chapter twenty

one versus one through seventeen. Okay, David numbers the fighting men. Satan

rose up against Israel, and David to take his senses of Israel sod And

so David said to Joeab and the commanders of the troops, go and count

the Israels from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I

may know how many there are. But joe Ab replied, may the Lord

multiplies troops one hundred times over my lord the King. Are they not all

the Lord's subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should

he bring guilt on Israel. The King's word, however, overruled joe Ab,

so Joab left and went throughout Israel and then came back to Jerusalem.

Joe Ab report the number of the fighting men to David and all Israel.

There were one million, one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword,

including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah. But joe Ab did not include

Levi and Benjamin in the number, and because the king's command was repulsive to

him, this command was also evil in the sight of God, so he

punished Israel. Then David said to God, I have sent greatly by doing

this. Now I beg you take away the guilt of your servant. I

have done a very foolish thing. The Lord said to God, David,

Sir, go and tell David, this is what the Lord says. Give

you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.

So God went to David and said to him, this is what the

Lord says. Take your choice. Three years of famine, three months of

being swept away before your enemies with their swords overtaking you. Or three days

of the sword of the Lord, days of plague in the land, with

the Angel of the Lord ravaging every part of Israel. Now, then decide

how I should answer the one who sent me. David said to God,

I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the Lord,

for his mercies very great, but do not let me fall into the

hands of men. So the Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy

thousand men of Israel fell dead, and God sent angel to destroy Jerusalem.

As the angel was doing so, the Lord saw it and was grieved because

of the calamity, and said to the angel who was destroying the people,

enough, withdraw your hand. The Angel of the Lord was then standing at

the threshing floor of Aruna. The Jebusite. David looked up and saw the

Angel of the Lord standing between heaven and Earth with a drawn sword in his

hand extended over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sad cloth,

fell face down. David said to God, was it not I who

ordered the fighting men to be counted? I am the one who has sinned

and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Oh

Lord, my God, let your hand fall upon me and my family,

But do not let this plague remain on your people. Then the Angel of

the Lord ordered God to tell David to go up and build an altar to

the Lord on the threshing floor of Aruna the Jebisite. So David went up

in obedience to the word that God had spoken in the name of the Lord.

While Aruna was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the Angel. His

four sons, who were with him, hid themselves. Then David approached,

and when Aruna looked and saw him, he left the threshing floor and bowed

down before David with his face to the ground. All right, So that's

first Chrocles Chapter twenty one, actually verses one through seventeen. Read a little

past that, okay. So now let us go to the Book of Proverbs

chapter three, verses five through eight. Trust in the Lord with all your

heart, and lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge

them, and He will make your path straight. Do not be wise of

your own eyes, Fear the Lord, and shun evil this will bring health

to your body and nourishment to your bones. Amen. We all love Proverbs

three reading. Amen. So now let us go to Second Corinthians, chapter

thirteen, Versus five through eight. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in

the faith test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you,

unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that

you will discover that we have not failed the test. Now we pray to

God that you will not do anything wrong, not that people will see that

we have stood the test, but that you will do what is right,

even though we may seem to have failed, For we cannot do anything against

the truth, but only for the truth. Amen. All right, So

that is today's Bible reading and recommended reading scriptures. Okay, now let us

get to the actual commentary. The tile of this commentary is pick your Life

Preserver. Seven minutes ago, he was bound hand and foot, tossed into

the water, Now dangerously close to drowning, one thought runs through his mind.

Three more minutes. No, he isn't the victim of a crime.

He's a man who believes he has what it takes to join the Navy Seals,

an elite force of commandos trained to do the impossible in the sea,

in the air, and on the land on the basis of that belief.

He's undergoing this test under the watchful eye of his commanding offers. He's tied

up and swimming in a pool used to simulate hostile territory hostile territory. If

he can stay aflow for ten minutes, he'll be on his way to becoming

a seal. When a man who wants to be a Navy seal subjects himself

to the required training and test, he reveals a lot about his faith in

his own physical and mental abilities. King's David actions and taking military census gave

us a glimpse into where he was beginning to place his faith. Scholars disagree

about who is responsible for prompting David to account his fighting men, whether it

was this a test from God or a scheme of Satan. However, f

you doubt that this act shifted God's confidence away from God and until the strength

of his own military forces. The consequences for this shift in David's belief system

were devastating. The Lord sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand people

died over a three day period, What do your actions say about what you

believe? Interestingly, after thousand years, your choice most likely isn't much different

from David's. Do you rely on your own strength or will you place your

confidence in God? Amen? Things that take away from the commentary, Why

does it seem easier to trust in our own abilities than to trust in God?

How do your daily actions demonstrate your beliefs about yourself and about God?

What can you do this? We to prepare for the inevitable test of faith

that come into your life, Amen, quote unquote. In other words,

as puppets are to men and dolls to children, so is men's workmanship to

God's quote William Penn. All right, that is it, y'all. That's

the commentary. Okay, whom will you serve? Y'all? Let us serve

the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Lord of Hosts.

Y'all. Ltist stick to him for evermore. Let's not lean to the right

or to the left. Let's not be swayed or influenced by other influences.

Are right? We gotta be firm in our faith for evermore. Okay,

So let's be strong, rock solid about that. Ayman, and I want

to just read one more shoe scripture is more before I close up this commentary

because I forgot to include this when I was doing the Sampson commentary last commentary

episode. So I want to go to the Book of Hebrews chapter thirteen,

Hebrews chapter eleven, verse thirty two through thirty four, and this is regarding

the heroes of faith. I love Hebrews chapter eleven reading. By the way,

I love all of God's word, But like Hebrew's eleven, the whole

eleven of Hebrews is really excellent, amazing read. Okay, So Hebrews chapter

eleven, verses thirty two through thirty four, and what more shall I say?

I did not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Sampson,

Jeff, David, Samuel, and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms,

administered justice, and gained what was promised, who shut the mouths of

lions, quenched the fury of the flames and escaped the edge of the sword,

whose weakness was turned to strength, and who became powerful in battle and

routed foreign armies, women received back their dead, raced to life again.

Others were tortured and refused to be released so that they might gain a better

resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging, while others still others chained and put

into prison. They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were

put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskin and goat skin,

destitute, persecuted and mistreated. The world was not worthy of them.

They wandered in deserts and mountains and caves and in holes in the ground.

These were all commended for their faith, Yet none of them received what had

been promised. God had planned something better for us, so that only together

with us would they be made perfect. Ay amens us. Hebrews Chapter eleven,

verses thirty two, all the way through thirty nine. I know it's

at thirty four, but I wanted to really with thirty nine. I just

love he prows chapter eleven, especially that ending part. It just shows what

the truth falls are the most high, and the past has went through,

and what we are going to go through. All right, So God be

stronger, endure people do so much excellent great things through faith. By faith,

we will accomplish all these things that just shall live by faith. Amen.

So let's be on point. Have must have seen faith for evermore people.

We definitely agree that his word is a double edged sword, as the

Book of Hebrew says. We know that his word is pere of fine civilis,
