Book of First Samuel. Okay, this is the last commentary within the First

Samuel, and then furthermore we'll go into Second Samuel and onward with the commentary,

is okay, So we'll go through today's Bible reading, and then we'll

go through commended scriptures, and from the commentary, we'll close out with a

prayer. We'll close out with a priestly blessing, and we will close out

So let us go through it. Today's Bible reading. Okay, okay,

today's Bible reading. The Book of First Samuel, chapter thirty, verses one

through twenty, David destroys the Amlakites. David and his men reached zick Lag

on the third day, now that Melakites had raided the Negev and Ziklag.

They had attacked zick Lag and burned it, and it had taken captive the

women and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed

none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.

When David and his men came to zick Lag, they found it destroyed by

fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. So David and

his men wept out loud, wept aloud until they had no strength left to

weep. David's two wives had been captured. I know him of Jezreel and

Bigail, the widow of Nabal Nabel of Carmel. David was greatly distressed because

the men were talking of stoning him. Each one was bitter in spirit because

of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.

Then David said to Abbithiar a Bathar, the priest, the son of

David asked them, to whom you belong? To whom do you belong

and where do you come from? He said, I am an Egyptian,

the slave of the Amalekites. My master abandoned me when I became ill.

Three days ago. We raided the negive of the Karathites and the territory belonging

through too much to get what the Lord has given us. So we can't

to guard our blessings. People, We have to protect maintain our blessings.

how David looked out for all of Israel in that situation, you know,

regarding families, you know, friends and resources and all these different things.

You know, and you see how in the Old Testament, how everything

was always based around everybody. It was always a about the individual. You

know. The most High cared about everybody, the elders, the priest,

the prophets, the kings, the prophetesces, the women of valor, men

of valor, the farmers. The most High cared about all man, from

old to young, the men, women, children, to those with who

were poor, those who had disabilities or certain health conditions. God cared for

all of us man, and he made the commandments for all of us,

you know, And we see here how much it's important to not always do

things for your own glory, but you do it for God's glory. Man,

you help other people with your service, all right. So we see

a clear indication of that through this reading, okay, and really through all

of God's word, it keeps us. He keeps showing us how it's supposed

to be done, how we're supposed to represent the Lord, how we go

to war, how we look out for people all in the process. A

man, So this is something we need to really apply to our personal lives.

You know, a lot of y'all have probably dealt with some setbacks or

losses or you know, shortcomings of what have you. And you know you

got to get back what belongs to you. Man, the Lord gave you

something. You got to get back to it, y'all. Okay'all can let

the enemy and other people take what's yours or what belongs to you. You

need to get it back, all right. Get back your joy, get

back your sanity, to get back your mental health, get back your finances,

get back your living condition, get back what's yours. Okay, handle

that in the Lord, in the name of the Lord. And you see

here how David he inquired of the Lord. He seek the Lord through guidance

and insight, and the Lord let him know, hey, go get it,

Go get what's yours. You're gonna succeed. Amen. So we trust

in the Lord. We go is go to the Father about it. Everything's

gonna go good and come to pass. Hey, man, So we got

to always real back, take a time out and go to the Father and

talk to him about it, about our situation. Crowds him about it.

Amen. So this is something we could definitely apply to our lives. Say,

man, now we all love to do is read the recommended reading.

All right. So the first scripture the recommended reading is the Book of Exodus,

chapter fifteen Versus one through eighteen. All right. So here's when Israel

went through the whole situation of Egypt, getting through the Red Sea and everything,

and how the Lord looked at from that one, all right. The

the Lord. I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted.

The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. The Lord

is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation. He is

Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best

right hand, o Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand,

O Lord, shattered the enemy. In the greatness of your majesty, you

threw down those who opposed you. You unleash your burning anger. It consumed

them like a stubble, Like stubble, by the blast of your nostrils.

The waters piled up, the surging waterstud firm like a wall. The deep

waters congealed in the heart of the sea. The enemy boasted. I will

pursue, I will overtake them, I will divide the spoils. I will

them to your holy dwelling. The nations will hear and tremble, Anguish will

grip the people of Philistines, the chiefs of Edom will be terrified. The

leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling. The people of Canaan will melt

away. Man, Man, Man, I want to continue reading the whole

rest of the song. Terror and dread will fall upon them. By the

power of your arm. They will be as still as a stone until your

people pass by, o Lord, until the people you brought pass by,

you will bring them in. You will bring them in and plant them on

the mountain of your inheritance, the place, oh Lord, you made for

your dwell and the sanctuary, oh Lord, your hands established. The Lord

will reign forever and ever, powerful amazing song. When Pharaoh's horses, chariots

and horsemen went into the sea, the Lord brought the waters of the sea

back over them, But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.

Then Miriam, the Prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand,

and all the women followed her with tambourines and dancing. Miriam singing to

them, singing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. The horse

and his riders has hurled into the sea. Praise the Lord. It's time

for us to sing a new song, y'all. Love us. Still went

through so much things in our lives, and people be moping and complaining and

gone, I'm like man, it's started singing new song. How the Lord

delivers for us, How the Lord got us through our situation, How the

Lord brought us out of the darkest times, How his hand was honest in

every situation they meant. So it's time to sing a new song and rejoice

people. It's a lot going on off four corners of the earth, and

plenty going on in people's personal lives. But it's gonna be testimonies. You're

gonna hear more testimons from now one. Amen. From now on, It's

gonna be nothing but testimonials from here on out. Y'all. The Lord is

turning around for a lot of people out here, me you, all of

us, I'm telling you, we go all have multiple testimonies and multiple things

we could bring up and testify aby how the Lord has got us through.

Amen. So when you get through that test, that trial, the tribulation,

or that that murk situation you in, like, make sure that testimony

is loud and heard. Make sure that song you sing is gonna be a

loud one, ammen, for real, because we can't be quiet and shy

about what God done for us, Okay, what he brought us through.

So let us be bold and the Lord ain'tmen most definitely y'all. So that's

Book of Isaiah, chapter forty, verses twenty five through thirty one. To

tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope

in the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall soar on wings like eagles.

They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Powerful, lovely scripture. Man, I know everyone loves that one man

for real. A lot of people right now stumbling and fumbling and not really

gonna solid ground. But watch how the Lord turn it around. Ay Man,

The Lord's gonna turn it around. Your STEP's gonna be a lot more

bigger and firm. You're gonna be big stepping on that narrow path. From

now one. People gonna see you walk in your life, and they ain't

gonna believe the Lord got you through it. Amen, Praise the Lord.

That's the second recommended reading scripture from Isaiah. Now we will go to the

Book of Ephesians, chapter six, Verses ten through eighteen, All right,

all right, all right, the armor of God. Finally, be strong

in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of

God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For

our struggles not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the

authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces

of evil in the heavenly realms, wickedness and high places. Therefore, put

on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes,

you may be able to stand your ground. And after you have done

everything to stand firm, then with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,

with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with

the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace. In addition to all this,

take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the

flame and arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the

sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in

the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With

this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Yes, pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth, words

may be given me, so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of

the Gospel for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may

declare it fearlessly as I should. Man, Man, man, always saying

something on that one yo, ay man, you cannot fight this spiritual warfare

carnally, not physically. A lot of people don't understand that a lot of

people are very deceived. A lot of people very pride for and delusional.

They thinking their attitude and their carnal WAYE is going to defeat all this,

man, and we better stay in this word, amen, I'm talying.

we prevail and prosper, conquer and flourish through obedience, through faith, through

get to the actual commentary. Okay, So here we go. The tidle

of this commentary is one of those days. Ever had one of those days

that just didn't quit. After a hard day at work, you headed home,

ready to relax an unwine, but instead another crisis hit you square in

the eyes the second you walked in the door. In this story, David

was having just such a day. The increasingly unstable King Saul had been hunting

David down wanted to kill him. David had led his loyal band of men

and their family to seek shelter in enemy territory, where he had to play

a dangerous game of double cross with a Kish, the Philistine king. Now,

after a three day journey, David's men return home to find their town

on fire and their families gone kidnapped by raiders. Understandably, the men were

close to turning on David forgetting them into this mess. What a day?

How did David hamlet true? He felt greatly distressed? Who could blame him?

Yet David found strength in the Lord his God. First Sallary, Chapter

thirty, verse six. David tapped it to God's strength, just as he

always did in ways available to us as well. He prayed to God in

the morning see Psalm five, verse three. He poured out his complaints to

God see Psalm sixty two, verse eight. He meditated on the beauty and

mercy of God see Psalm twenty seven, verse four and seven. With David's

renewed strength, he rallied his men, although exhausted from their journey and overwhelmed

with grief and mourning. With grief and mourning, they overtook the raiders and

fought them for twenty four straight hours. Fighting for your family's lives would do

wonders for your adrenaline supply. David and his men returned victorious, along with

their families, their possessions, and all that the raiders had plundered from elsewhere.

God still makes his strength available when we look to him. With his

strength, we can overcome the worst times, even a bad day that just

won't end. Amen. Things that take away from the commentary When you have

one of those days, how do you react? What keeps you from looking

to God for strength? What practical ways can you use to remind yourself to

look to God for strength? Come on, people, the joy of the

Lord is your strength, always forever more. Nieja Maya knew something. He

A lot of people out there are suffering and silence. A lot of people

are going through so much things they don't even know how to process it or

some supportive brothers and sisters around you to come for you, that'd be great

too. But if you kind of old, low little soul on this journey,

on this narrow path of yours, you bring it to the Father,
