So in today's message, we are going to go through this commentary within

the Book of Exodus. This is the last commentary within Exodus, Okay,

and then forward all we'll keep going page by page, chapter by chapter with

the other commentaries throughout the scripture. Is okay, So we'll go through this

commentary, and then we'll close out with a prayer. We'll close out with

a priestly blessing, and we'll close out giving all the praise on her glory

Today's Bible reading the Book of Exodus chapter forty, verses thirty four through thirty

eight. Recommended reading the Book of Daniel chapter three, verses one through thirty

All right, so the time of this commentary is titled so Close. Late

night talk show host David Letterman used to do a segment called Brush with Greatness.

During this part of the show, audience members shared their funny or embarrassing

counters with celebrities. One man talked about the time he spotted his long retired

childhood baseball hero hauling a cab on a New York City street. Summoning his

courage, the man approaches Idle and ask to share the cab. The retire

start agreed, but only if the man would pay for the ride and the

tip the driver. The man agreed and jumped in the cab. Ride turned

out to be a long and expensive but the man figured any price is worth

a chance to talk with his favorite player. As they neared their destination,

though, the men realized he'd given his wallet to his wife that morning.

With no money or credit cards, he had the uninevable, unenviable task of

sticking his childhood hero with both the cap fare and the tip. Perhaps you

have one of those stories, one of the stories yourself, a time when

you bumped into a celebrity at an airport or shared an elevator with some lofty

political or sports figure. If so, you've probably told a story many times.

It's become a part of who you are. No doubt the story makes

for a great tale to tell at parties, But as far as brushes with

greatness go, few people can mash the account of the ancient Israelites and the

wilderness they camped with the creator of the universe. Every day when they walked

out from their tents, they had physical, visual evidence that God was with

them, leading them to where He wanted them to go. Imagine knowing that

God was with you in this tangible way day and night. What enemies would

you fear with God next to you? What words could plague you with God

so close? What obstacles could stand in your way? With God right at

your side? This story can lead us to think, Wow, if that

were only true in my life, If only God could troll to flash of

kneon sign that directed the course of my day in my life an interest and

proposition. But God does that idea one better. He gives us his spirit

to live within us. Live today with the Holy Spirit as your constant companion.

Let him remind you of God's closeness. Amen. Things that take away

from the commentary? What situations make you feel distant from God? How would

your life be different if you lived with the constant awareness of God's closeness.

Prince of Life, the Prince of Peace, the Prophet of the Redeemer,

the Resurrection and Life. The Resurrection, the Resurrector, the Life, the

Revelation, the Revelator, the Righteous Branch, the Righteous One, the radiant

One, the perfect Example, the Rock, the Root of David, the

Rose of Sharon, the Light to the Gentiles, the ruler of God's Creation,

the rule of the kings of the Earth, the Savior, the Seed

of Woman, the Shepherd and Bishop of Souls, the Shiloh, the Son

of Abraham, the son of David, the Son of God, the son

of Man, son of the Blessed, son of the Most High God,

the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him, the son of Righteous,
