relationships that will not benefit us in the end. It's hard to see the

whole picture when we're in it. I might be in business with the wrong

business partner. This friend might not be the friend for me after we've been

best friends forever. When God wants to bless you, he sends people to

your life. When the devil wants to distract or destroy you, he sends

people to your life. People come into your life as a blessing or a

curse, and it's up to us to decipher if this relationship is going to

benefit me and push me towards what God has for me, or subtract or

take away what God has from me. Relationships are liabilities or assets. Liabilities

take from you, assets give to you. What relationships are taking peace,

joy, and time. Take an inventory if you were to write a list

of your acquaintances, friends, best friends, business colleagues, mentors, students,

relatives, teammates, business partners, associates, followers, fans, et

cetera, et cetera, are they adding value to you or taking value from

you? Some of the problems that you face are the result of the people

you embrace. If you think about it, all the people you have relationships

issues with, you get rid of them and they come back with different faces.

Many people have been in bad business relationship to bad business relationship, church

to church, bad boy to bad boy, et cetera, et cetera.

First Corinthians, Chapter fifteen, verse thirty three. Don't be fooled by those

who say such things. For bad company corrupts good character. I don't care

how good you think you are. Hang around people who still cheat. Act

different on Sunday than they do Monday through Friday. Many of us are in

unequally yoked relationships, and it's hurting you both. What are you doing and

what have you done? To make sure your relationships are godly relationships? You

need to get rid of every dead weight, every weight. The Book of

Hebrews, chapter twelve, verse one, let us strip off every weight that

slows us down. Don't have people around you who are slowing you down.

Do not rush into anything that God did not ordain. How do you know

when a relationship needs to end when you started it and God did it.

You can't help God do what he has already done, what he's doing,

and what he's about to do. You can't help him. All you can

do is obey him. Many of us are trying to help God fulfill his

promise to us, and when we do that, we invite relationships in that

were never meant to happen. When you start relationships that God does, it's

always it always ends bad for you. How many relationships do you have in

your life as a result of you not waiting on the Lord? Not waiting

on the Lord? They didn't believe in the promise enough to wait on it.

When you don't wait on the Lord, you give the enemy the opportunity

to introduce you to counterfeits. You've got insecurities from people who weren't even supposed

to be in your life. You used to know you were called by God,

and now you question if you can even pray out loud to God.

God will never bring your promise through somebody else. How many of us get

into stuff and then ask God to be in it. Don't do it without

permission to pursue. The best time to end something is before it begins.

God wants us to set a standard. The standard is the word of God.

When the Bible says, don't make friends with angry people because they'll lead

you down the wrong path. Oh that's my friend. I know he's got

a little temper. When we don't make the Word of God our standard,

we accept everything into our life and then we have to live with the damage.

How do you know when a relationship needs to end? When no one

wants to deal with the real issues. It may be time for a relationship

to end when nobody's mature enough to address the real issues. All relationships have

problems. Wrong relationships have unaddressed issues. When you avoid the issue, you

ensure the relationship death. If you're going to be in a relationship with someone,

be completely honest. Because the moment is not completely honest, it's going

to create problems for you at a later time. Drama doesn't have an age

limit. God's going to fulfill his promise. It just might not be on

your timetable. How do you know when a relationship needs to end when what

the relationship produces is picking on your promise. It's so important to not get

in ungodly relationships because you can become attached. Attachments can form with anything,

especially when you're desperate. When you end the relationship that is taking from you,

everyone gets blessed. End it quickly with blessing, intentionally and trust in

God. End things with blessing, even when they do you wrong. The

Book of Romans, Chapter twelve, verse eighteen. If it is possible,

as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone, be

a blessing on the way out. Many people are in a relationship very vague,

very valgue, very vague. I know for the season, we're supposed

to take a break, and that leaves an open door for things and people

to come back. Be intentional. Look what happens when we trust God and

we do what's best for us. What you think you are doing to somebody,

God is using for them to get dependent on him. You've been their

savior, and if you get out of the way, he can truly be

their savior. When you cut people off, you've got to trust God.
