Only the God's son died for our sins, much more things that he's done
for us. Let's thank them for it. Aintmen, more praising, less
complaining. Amen. So gotta think the lordy some crazy times again. So
much going on everywhere, all four coins of the earth, A lot going

unity, peace, love all for the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen, God
loves when us people are all together. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all.
Welcome all of everybody, all people's, all nations, all tribes,
all languages, all tongues, all racists, all faces, all for corners

us gather together for the Lord. Let us just sing to him, sing
a new song, clap our hands, dance, praise everything. Just give
him all the honor and glory. He got you through a way, men,
he got you through. Yes, yes, y'all, He is constantly

Lord, our god Father, our my heart's soul strength that might. Let
us love our neighbors as you love ourselves. So let's keep doing Father's business
and father's will for the rest of our lives until his son comes back.
He has coming back in an hour. Nobody knows but him, the Father.
He is coming back like a thief in the nine. He has come
back for people who are spotless and blameless. Amen. So let us tighten
up, clean up ourselves, and keep our amps and oils running. A
man, keep it on, keep it on, people, stay on fire
for the Lord. Yes, yes, y'all. Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord. Everything, all the peoples of the earth, all the
mountains, all the trees, all the plants, everything he created, everything,
all the animals, the beasts of the field, all the creatures,
the fishes in the sea, all the birds in the air. Let everything
I have breath praise the Lord. Amen. Yes, yes, y'all.
Let us obey the Lord. Let us know him better. Let's obey the
word the Lass as a commandments the Gospel. Let's just keep staying on point.
People. Gotta stay on point. Gotta be sharp and firm. Okay,
gotta be firm people. All right, yes, yes, y'all.
Now today's message, I'm gonna go into the continued barber Ring series. I
just want to revisit the Book of Proverbs, okay, with commentary. So
I did solve twenty three, yes to the commentary. So now we're gonna
go into Proverbs with commentary, okay, and then from there we'll close out
with a prayer. We close out with a priestly bless him. And we'll
close out giving all the prayers on our glowy to the most hot God of
Abraham eyskin Jacob, and praise only begotten something for our sins ain't mean.
So let us be on point. Let us keep it simple. Let's keep
it basic and go from there. Okay. So the Book of Proverbs,
it's always amazing to revisit it. How effective and powerful it is in our
daily lives. Okay. So we have to be doers of the work people
and applied us to our lives. We gotta keep getting that wisdom, not
to understanding. Okay. So yes, yes, y'all. So before we
go into Proverbs chapter one, let us go into the commentary introduction of it.
Okay. So here we go, all right, the author, King
Solomon, and others, the audience, the king's son and other young people
of Israel. The date Solomon wrote the majority of these proverbs during his reign
nine hundred seventy through nine hundred and thirty BC, but the book wasn't fully
complied compiled until around seven hundred BC. The setting Solomon serves as Israel's king
during a time when the nation remains faithful to God. Solomon composes these wise
things before he becomes caught up in materialism and idolatry. Let's of Proverbs.
The Book of Proverbs offers amazingly rich and wise words to relish rather than to
simply read. Better to linger over a single proverb than to read a chapter.
It's even better to practice the proverbs because they always point toward wise decisions
in life, wise decisions in life. These single concentrated expressions of wisdom touch
every aspect of our experience. This book appeals to believers because it's timeless.
Wisdom and warnings apply just as well in our modern society as it did thousands
of years ago. Whether you read a single proverb or the whole book,
the epithy and practical guidelines will prove priceless as you seek to live a godly
life. What to look for in Proverbs, bite sized wisdom, deeper understanding
of the fear of the Lord. Essentials for a practical living ethics one on
one guidelines for relationships, Connections between words and wisdom, Authentic rules for successful
living, prolog purpose and theme. Here we book a Proverbs Chapter one,
The Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, King of Israel. For attaining
wisdom and discipline, For understanding words of insight, for acquiring a discipline and
prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair. For giving prudence
to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young. Let the wise lessen
and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance. For understanding
proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of
the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. But fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Exhortations to embrace wisdom, warning against enticement. Listen, my son, to
your father's instruction, and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They will be
a garland to your grace, to your neck. There will be a garland
to grace your head, and a chain to adorn your neck. My son,
if sinners entice you, do not give in to them. If they
say come along with us. Let's lie away for someone's blood. Let's waylay
some harmless soul. Let's swallow them alive like the grave, and hold like
those who go down to the pit. We will get all sorts of valuable
things and fill our houses with plunder. Throw in your lot with us,
and we will share a common purse. My son, do not go along
with them. Do not set foot under paths, for their feet rushing to
sin. They are swift to shud blood. How useless to spread a net
in full view of all the birds these men lay. These men light and
wait for their own blood. They waylay only themselves. Such as the end
of all who go after ill gotten gain. It takes away the lives of
those who get it. Warning against rejecting wisdom, Wisdom calls aloud in the
street. She raises her voice. In the public squares. At the head
of the noisy streets, she cries out, and the gateways of the city,
she makes her speech, How long will you simple ones love your simple
ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? If
you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to
you and made my thoughts know to you. But since you're rejecting me when
I called, and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,
since you ignored all my advice and will not accept my rebuke, I in
turn will laugh at your disaster. I will mock when calamity overtakes you,
when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a
whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. Then they will call to me,
but I will not answer. They will look for me, but will
not find me, since they hated knowledge and then not choose to fear the
Lord. Since they will not accept my advice and spurn my rebuke, they
will eat the fruit of their own ways and be filled with the fruit of
their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the
complacecy of fools will destroy them. But whoever listens to me will live in
safety and be at ease without fear of harm. Amen. That's a Book
of Proverbs, Chapter one reading all right, so not much to really interpret
or review, because I mean, everything is pretty plain and simple, isn't
It's very simple to break down. It's not like the Gospel or parables,
or like the New Testament, where everything has to be interpreted or explained.
Proverbs is very brief, simple and straight to the cut. So it's very
blunt, and it's always amazing to review the Book of Proverb, Saint Man,
it's always amazing to keep that on its all right. So that's the
Book a priversh Chapter one reading. Now let's go to Book a Proverish Chapter
two. Moral benefits of Wisdom, My son, if you accept my words
and store at my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying
your heart to understanding, And if you call out for insight and cry aloud
for understanding, if you look for it as for silver, and search for
it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom, and from
his mouth come knowledge and understand it. He holds victory in store for the
upright. He is a shield to those who walk is blameless, for he
guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand what is right and just and fair, every good path
for wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save
you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,
who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing
wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked, and
who are who are devious in their ways. It will save you also from
the adulteress, from the wayward wife, with her seductive words, who has
left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenants she made before God.
Mm For her house leaves taught her, For her house leaves down to death,
and her paths to the spirits of the dead. None who go to
her return or attain the paths of life. Mmmmm. Thus you will walk
in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous.
For the upright will live in the land, and the blamers will remain in
it, but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the
unfaithful will be torn from it. M BO. A priverished chapter to a
reading. Right there, Okay, very very excellent reading and amazing words to
keep with us. Okay, well, I'll love to do before I go
into proversh chapter three, I would love to read the commentary that's within Proverbs
chapter two. Okay, so here we go. Today's Bible reading Proverbs chapter
two, verses one through eight. Recommended reading Psalm one, verses one through
six, Proverbs chapter four, verses one through nine. Also to book a
Matthew chapter at thirteen, verses forty four through forty six. The title of
this commentary is Activate Wisdom. Oh to be a seven year old boy again.
Waking up on Christmas morning, he explodes from bed, eyes wide with
anticipation, and barrels into the living room. Get up, Get up,
Get up, It's Christmas Day, he yells to his parents. He darts
under a round and through their presence for looking for the gifts with his name
on the two line. Finally, his mom and dad's sounor down in their
robes, wiping asleep from their eyes. Now he waits for just one simple
word. His parents look at each other, maybe to make him wait just
a few seconds longer. Then his mom smiles and says okay. He tears
through his gifts in search of the treasures he's been waiting for or think of
the enthusiasm of a teenager who who have scrimped and saved for years to buy
his first car. He has some idea of what he wants, and he
rides his bike endlessly through car lots, draining of the day when he will
drive off the lot in a car all his friends will love. He begs
his dad to take him to different lots when the two of them are out
together, when he has enough money to cover the costs, he against scours
the car lots, the newspaper, and the Internet in search of the one
car that will make his dreams come true. And what a day of celebration
when he finally buds when he finally buys that first vehicle. What if that
same kind of enthusiasm described your desire to find wisdom? Solomon says that if
we want to receive God's knowledge, we must earnestly and sincerely seek it with
all our heart. Solomon asked that our pursuit of wisdom should resemble the zeal
of a miner on the verge of finding a vein of silver, or a
diver about the uncover at hidden treasure. In fact, this kind of enthusiasm
does sound like a seven year old begging for a gift he can't live without.
If a child practically turns inside out over a Christmas gift, he'll probably
forget by New Year's Day. And if a teen spends hundreds of hours dreaming
and perhaps you're saving for that first car, how much more should we passionately
pursue the wisdom and knowledge of God? Amen? Things to take away from
the commentary, how would you define the word wisdom? What words would you
use to describe your desire to find wisdom? How can you develop a deeper
hunger for the wisdom and knowledge of God? Amen? Amen, search it
for that wisdom, seeking it, seeking it, look at it. Look
for that's treasure. Amen. Got to look for that wisdom, knowledge,
understand, and got to seek that y'a. Okay, all right, gotta
value it. So that's the Book of Proverbs chapter two and commentary reading.
Okay, Now let us go into the Book of Proverbs chapter three. All
right, Proverbs chapter three, here we go, further benefits of wisdom.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your
heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity.
Let love and faithfulness and never leave you. Bind them around your neck,
write them on a tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and
a good name in the side of God and man. Trust in the Lord
all your heart, and lean on your own understanding and all your ways.
Acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths and make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord, and shun
evil. This will bring hell to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.
Then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim
over with new wine. My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke. Because the Lord disciplines those he loves as
a father. The son he delights in blesses the man who finds wisdom,
the man who gains understanding. For she is more profitable than silver and yields
better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies. Nothing you desire
can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand, and her
left hand are rich as in honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and
all her paths or peace. She is a trio of life. To those
who embrace her. Those who lay hold of her will be blessed by wisdom.
The Lord laid the foundations the earth's foundations by understanding. He set the
heavens in place. By his knowledge, the deeps were divided, and the
clouds let the let drop drop the dow, and the clouds let drop the
dew. My son, preserve sound, judgment and discernment. Do not let
them out of your sight. They will be life for you, and ornament
to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety,
and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not
be afraid. When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have
no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked. For
the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it. When it is in your
power to act. Do not say it to your neighbor. Come back,
I'll give it tomorrow when you now have it with you. Do not do
not plot harm against your neighbor who lives trustfully near. You. Do not
accuse a man for no reason when he has done you no harm. Do
not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways. For the Lord
detest a perverse man, but takes the upright into his confidence. The Lord's
curses on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the
righteous. He mocks proud mockers, but gives grace to the humble, the
wise inherent honor, but fools, he holds up the shame. Right.
So that's the Book of Proverbs chapter three reading. All right, I would
love to read the in commentary scripture within Proverbs three. Okay, So here
we go. Proverbs chapter three, Verse six. God gives guidance and all
your ways. Acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. And
man, that is definitely right. Y'all got to acknowledge him, gotta keep
him for us, saying, man, So that's a book of a Private
chapter three reading. Now let's go to Book a Proverbs chapter four reading.
Okay, Now, before we go into private chapter four, I want to
read this commentary right within it. Okay, So here we go. The
title of it is before I saw a serious gates. Manas say, the
Lord spoke to my not saying his people, but they paid no attention.
The Book of Second Chronicles, Chapter thirty three, verse ten. The prophets.
What do the prophets know? They know only to prophesy evil against the
King of Judah, the rightful heir of David. Evil will never come to
us. We have our fortified cities and our warriors. Let the King of
Assyrius send his commanders against us. We will repel them at the gates.
We will laugh at their weakness. Evil will never come to us. We
have our land, our possession forever. Our fathers poured out their blood for
this land. God has said that the feet of the Israelites would never leave
the land given to our fathers. Evil will never come to us. We
have the temple that Solomon adorned with cedar, wood and gold. Our wealth
flows like a river in this temple, and God has said that his name
will remain here forever. Evil will never come to us. We have this
is a quote unquote bail bail at Shara poles. Therefore our land grows fat
with wine and oil, wheat and barley. Therefore our flocks cover thousand hills
Therefore, our wives give us find strong sons, arrows, and our quiver
to unleash against our enemies. Evil will never come to us. We have
our diviners. They have their diviners, their sorceress, their mediums, their
spiritus. Therefore, enemies will never strike us unawares. We know their secret
plans, and we know that the days when we may bring best to them
to ruin evil will never come to us. I spare nothing for the sake
of my people. I burned my own son as they burnt their own sons,
as a sweet sacrifice to Mulich. They are a lamp and they horn
to their people. They tell them the path or truth or their truth is.
Whatever their king says to them. That's their strength, for they can
do whatever they wish. Whether the prophets know that the King of is seriousness
commanders, they will repel them at the gates. They will laugh at their
weaknesses. Back to the future. So just this referenced reference and commentary scripture
was just based on what happened within the Old Testament in that time. Prayer
of their kingship will have you how they were like disobeying God and worshiping other
idols and copping our adultry and wickedness and witchcraft. And we all know how
God punished Israel for all of that, for their lack of wisdom, the
lack of not acknowledging God things that nature. So it's all connected and tightened
with proverbs when it comes to acknowledging God, are of our ways and seeking
Him, seeking His will, wisdom, nowledge, understanding. So this commentary
is of finnishing us back to the future. King manazay of Judah and trusted
his welfare and the welfare is people the false gods. And what ways are
you tempted to follow false gods today? King Manaza refused to listen to God.
What steps can you take to cultivate a heart that's open and submissive to
the voice of God? What blessings have you received as a result of hearing
and obeying God. The story continues to read the tragic story of Manase's reign
see the Book of Second Kings chapter twenty one, verses one through eighteen,
and also Book of Second Chronicles three, verses one through twenty. All right,
so that's the commentary of Manase. Okay, So it's very important that
we trust in the Lord. We don't trust in chariots. We don't trust
in possess since we won't trust the things that where we trust the Lord,
trust the Lord. Everything ain'tmen most definitely y'alls. That was a commentary.
Now let us go to Book A Privits chapter four. Okay, Proverbs chapter
four. Here we go. Wisdom is supreme. Listen, my sons to
father's instruction. Pay attention and gain understanding. I give you sound learning,
so do not forsake my teaching. When I was a boy in my father's
house, still tender and an only child of my mother, he taught me
and said, lay hold of my words with all your heart. Keep my
commands, and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding. Do not
forget my words or swear from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she
will protect you. Love her as she will watch over you. Wisdom is
supreme. Therefore, get wisdom, though it cost all you have. Get
understanding. Esteem her as she will exalt you, Embrace her as she will
honor you. She will set a garland of grace on your head and present
you with a crown of splendor. Listen, my son, except what I
say, and the years of your life will be many. I guide you
in the way of wisdom, and lead you along straight paths. When you
walk, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will
not stumble. Hold onto instruction, do not let it go. Guard it
well, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path
of the wicked, or walk in the way of evil men. Avoid it,
Do not travel on it. Turn from it and go on your way.
For they cannot sleep till they do evil. They are robbed of slumber
till they make someone fall. They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the
wine of violence. The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of
dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. But the way
of the wicked is like the deep darkness. They do not know what makes
them stumble. My son, pay attention to what I say. Listen closely
to my words. Do not let them out of your sight. Keep them
within your heart, for they are life to those who find them, and
help to a man's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth,
Keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes, look straight ahead,
fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet,
and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or
the left. Keep your foot from evil. Yes, yes, y'all.
Al Right, so that's a Book of Private chapter four reading. Okay,
gotta keep these things in our hearts. Okay, yes, So before I
go into the Book of Proverts chapter five, I would love to read this
commentary within Proverbs for okay, So here we go. Today's Bible reading the
Book of Proverbs chapter four, verses four through nine. Recommended reading the Book
of Luke chapter fourteen, verses twenty five through thirty three. Also the Book
of First Corinthians chapter ten, verses one through thirteen. The title of this
commentary is Vigilance. So here we go. Paul and Susan faced the financial
counselor in aside, you don't know how much you owe, he asked,
not really, I want you to go home, add up everything you owe
and come back with a total. That evening. The couple started punching numbers
into the calculator with trepidation. The final total was staggering fifty two thousand dollars
seven hundred twenty one dollars. How do we get here, Susan asked tearfully.
Paul shook his head. I don't know. The real problem behind our
situation lies in Paul's admission, I don't know. The Bible causes to be
thoughtful living, in which we pay attention to our spiritual health and external responsibilities.
Our money won't manage itself. Relationships need to be cared for. Passion
for God must be nurtured, concerned for the loss needs to be fed.
Traditionally, this careful attention attention has been called the virtual vigilance. To be
vigilant is to live with a mindfulness about life, your own attitudes and your
actions. Scripture encourages us to live a thoughtful and reflective life. Only be
careful and watch yourselves closely, so that you do not forget the things your
eyes have seen, or let them slip from your heart as long as you
live. Among his last words to his disciples were these, watch and pray
so that you will not fall into temptation, and many of Christ's teachings were
punctuated with this call to vigilance. Watch out, be on your guard against
all kinds of greed. Watch out that you are not deceived. We live
in a complex and challenging world in which vigilance is essential. J. C.
Ryle Warren's young men, this world is not a world in which we
can do well without thinking, and at least of all, do well in
the matter of our souls. Thoughtful living is a tremendous opportunity with eternal implications.
As Rayle points out, lack of thought is one simple reason why thousand
souls are cast away forever. Men will not consider, will not look forward,
will not look around them, will not reflect on the end of their
present course and the sure consequence of their present ways, and awake at last
to find they to find they are damned for lack of thinking. When spiritual
matters are involved, failing to give due caution can be eternally fatal. R.
L. Thomas quote unquote Gary L. Thomas. Things to take away
from this commentary? Why is it important to be vigilant? What are the
possible consequences for lack of vigilance? What steps can you take to be more
vigilant in your walk with the lowered All? Right, vigilance people, be
vigilant, be firm, be alert, be watchful, be sobering man.
Consider consider, consider all right, thoughtfulness, mindfulness, okay, being mindful,
right awareness. So that's the book of Private chapter for reading. With
the commentary, let's go to the Book of Private chapter five. All right,
the Book of Private Chapter five. Here we go, warning against adultery,
My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Listen well to my words
of insight, that you may maintain discretion, and your lips may preserve knowledge.
For the lips of an adulter's drip honey. And her speech is smoother
than oil. But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as
a double edged sword. Her feet go down to death, her steps lead
straight to the grave. She gives no thought to the way of life.
Her paths are crooked, but she knows it. Not Now, then,
my sons, listen to me. Do not turn aside from what I say.
Keep to the path far from her. Do not go near the door
of her house, lest you give your best strength to others, and your
years to one who is cruel. Lest strangers feast on your wealth and your
toil enrich another man's house. At the end of your life, you will
groan when your flesh and body are spent. You will say, how I
hate it discipline, How my heart spurned correction. I would not obey my
teachers or listen to my instructors. I have come to the brink of utter
ruin in the midst of the whole assembly. Drink water from your own sister,
and running water from your own well. Should your springs overflow in the
streets, your streams of water in the public squares, let them be yours
alone, never to be shared with strangers. May your fountain be blessed.
And may you rejoice in the wife of your youth, a loving, though
a graceful dear. May her breast satisfy you always. May you ever be
captivated captivated by her love? Why be captivated, my son by an adulteress.
Why embrace the bosom of another man's wife. M For a man's ways
are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all his paths.
The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him, the cords of his sin
holding fast, he will die for lack of discipline. Let us straight by
his own great folly. Mm but a provert Chapter five, Right there,
man, that's some game for you, Right there, man, You know
wisdom. Proverbs is all about game, man, it really is. You
know, you don't need to go to some random person or old g elder
to get some game. You get it right here in the word. Ain'tmen
right here in Proverbs? Man? Wasn't knowledge understanding? Man? We practice
these things and use these things that helps us in our life people. Okay,
So I would love to read this in a commentary scripture within Proverbs chapter
five. Okay, God examines hearts. But a provert chapter five, verse
twenty one. For a man's ways are in full view of the Lord,
and he examines all his paths. All right, So God is watching us,
okay, watching us? So all right, so that's provert chapter five.
Verty. Now let's go to a Proverbs chapter six. Okay, Proverbs
chapter six, here we go. Warnings against folly, my son. If
you have put up security for your neighbor, if you struck, if you
have struck hands in the pledge for another, if you have been trapped by
what you said and snared by the words of your mouth, then do this,
my sense, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor's
hands, To go and humble yourself, press your plea with your neighbor.
Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. Free yourself,
like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from
the snare of the fowler. Go to the ant, you sluggard, Consider
its ways and be wise. It has no commander, no overseer or ruler.
Yet it stores its provisions in summer, and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get
up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little
folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come on you like a
bandit, and scarcity like an armed man, a scoundrel and villain, who
goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks with his eyes, signals with
his feet, and mostly with his fingers, who plots evil with the seat
in his heart. He always stirs up dissension. Therefore disaster will overtake him
in an instant. He will suddenly be destroyed without remedy. There are six
things the Lord hates, Seven that are detestable to him. Haughty eyes,
a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that divises wicked
schemes, feet that are quick, the russion to evil, a false witness
who pours out lies, and a man who stores, who stirs up dissension
among brothers. Warning against adultery, my son, keep your father's commands and
do not forsake your mother's teaching, Binding them upon your heart forever. Fasten
them around your neck when you walk. They will guide you when you sleep,
They will watch over you. When you awake, they will speak to
you. For these commands are a lamp. This teaching is a light,
and the correct xtures of discipline are the way to life, keeping you from
the immoral woman, from the smooth tongue of a wayward wife. Do not
lust in your heart after her beauty, or let her captivate you with her
eyes. For the prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the
adulter's praise upon your very life. Can a man scoop fire into his lap
without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his
feet being scorched? So is he who sleeps with another man's wife. No
one touches her. No one who touches her will going punished. Men do
not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.
Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs
him all the wealth of his house. But a man who commits adultery lacks
judgment. Whoever does so, destroys himself. Blows and disgrace are his lot,
and his shame will never be wiped away. For jealousy arouses a man.
For jealousy arouses a husband's fury, and he will show no mercy when
he takes revenge. He will not accept any any compensation. He would refuse
to bribe, however great it is. It's a book a priverh chapter six
right there, Man, oh man, If people could just read these things,
they could avoid a lot of stuff. You know better, yet obey
these things and practice these things. Man, So how much people today in
the world, They get caught with so much things due to lack of wisdom,
discretion, understanding, wisdom and knowledge, just a care for things.
People are not mindful, thoughtful of actions and how it plays out. So
it's very important to how we go about things from now on. Okay,
So that's Privates chapter six right there. Okay, Now, before I read
Proverbs chapter seven, I would love to read the commentary within Proverbs seven.
Okay, so here we go today's Bible reading the Book of Proverbs chapter seven,
Versus one through twenty seven. Recommended reading a Book of Proverbs chapter two,
Versus twelve through nineteen. Also Book of proversh chapter six, Versus thirty
two through thirty three, and also the Book of Matthew chapter five, Versus
twenty seven through thirty and the Book of Hebrews chapter thirteen, verse four.
The tie of this commentary is the layer of lust. Have you ever toward
a slaughter house? If you answered yes, you probably remember the experience clearly.
The images are almost unnerving. Hundreds of cows, all in neat rows,
walking unperturbed towards the slaughter house where they will be killed and butchered.
Not one cries out an objection. Of course, they have no idea what's
about to happen. Interestingly, Solomon used the image of a slaughter house to
illustrate a young man falling into a sexual temptation. With persuasive words, she
led him astray, She seduced him with smooth with her smooth talk, all
at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter Versus twenty one
through twenty two, like an animal walking to its death. The young man
and the story follows the seductress and to her her layer of lust. He
has no idea how this simple stroll will affect his life, his family,
and his reputation. Slaughter is an appropriate and powerful word to describe giving into
sexual temptation, just a single actually encounter before marriage has devastated the futures of
many young people. The lure of adultery has ruined countless marriages. Even when
God spares and heals within a marriage weakened buy adultery, both husband and wife
can experience painful memories, preventing them from offering unconditional love or sharing intimate moments
with their spouse. In a poetic way, Solomon urges us to let God's
wear God what we do, keep my words, buying them on your fingers,
write them on the table of your heart Versus One and three. Sadly,
while most of us have easy and immediate access to God's word, we
often treat it casually and carelessly, given the sober and consequence of giving it
to sexual temptation. Perhaps we need to take what scripture says a little more
seriously. Remember the image of a thought of house the next time you're tempted,
and remember your friends of the same. Don't be the God who gives
up everything good in his life for the sake of a single encounter. Amen.
Oh my gosh, man, man, man. Things to take away
from this commentary. Why do you think the Bible characterizes sexual sin as being
so dangerous? How do movies, TV shows, the internet and other media
contribute to sexual temptation today's culture? What are some practical steps you can take
to make sure Scripture guides all that you do with no aspect of life exempt
quote unquote. In other words, sin is first a simple suggestion than a
strong imagination, then delight than a sent quote Thomas A. Kempis right,
y'all. Self control, people, self control, control your urges, self
control, disciplined people, people, people, people. Gotta avoid so much
pitfalls and traps out there, Okay, gotta have wisdom people, Okay,
learn how to see down the road before you make a choice, y'all.
Right, right, y'all. So that's the commentary right there. Let us
go to the Book of Private chapter seven, Okay, here we go,
warning against the adulteress. My son, keep my words and start up my
commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live. Guard my teachings
as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers, write them
on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom you are my sister,
and call understanding your kinsmen. They will keep you from the adulteress, from
the wayward wife. With her seductive words. At the window of my house,
I looked out through the lattice, I saw among the simple. I
noticed among the young men a youth who lacked judgment. He was going down
the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house at
twilight, as the day was fading, as the dark of night setting.
Then out came a woman to meet him. Dressed like a prostitute, and
with crafty intent. She has allowed and defiant her feet. Never stay at
home, not in the street, not in the squares, at every corner
she lurks. She took hold of him and kissed him, and with a
brazen face, she said, I have fellowship offerings at home today. I
fulfilled my vows, so I came out to meet you. I looked for
you and have found you. I have covered my bed with colored linens from
Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with mirror, mirror, mirror, aloes
and cinnamon. Come, let's drink deep of love till morning. Let's enjoy
ourselves with love. My husband is not home. He has gone on a
long journey. He took his purse filled with money, and will not be
home till full of moon. With persuasive words, she let him astraight.
She she seduced him with her smooth talk. All at once. He followed
her like an ox, going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into
a noose, till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into
a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life. Now, then,
my sons, listen to me. Pay attention to what I say.
Do not let your heart turn to her ways or strain to her paths.
Many are victims she has brought down. Her slain are a mighty throng.
Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of
deaths. Book A Private chapter seven are right there, alright, Private chapter
seven is some game for you? Okay, now, let's go to the
Book of Proverbs, chapter eight. Proverbs, Chapter eight. Here we go.
Wisdom's call does not Wisdom call out, does not understand, and raise
her voice on the heights, along the height, on the way where the
paths meet. She takes her stand beside the gates leading into the city at
the interests. She cries aloud to you, O men, I call out.
I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain
prudence, You who are foolish, gain understanding. Listen, for I have
worthy things to say. I open my lips to speak what is right.
My mouth speaks what is true. For my lips detest wickedness. All the
words of my mouth are just. None of them is crooked or perverse.
To the discerning. All of them are right. They are faultless. To
those who have knowledge, choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than
choice gold. For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire
can compare with her. I wisdom dwell together with prudence. I possess knowledge
and discretion. To fear the Lord is to hate evil. To fear the
Lord is to hate evil. I hate and arrogance, evil behavior, and
perverse speech, counsel, and sound judgment are mine. I have understanding and
power by me. King's reign and rulers make laws that are just by me.
Princes governed, and all nobles who rule on earth. I love those
who love me, and those who seek me find me. With me.
Are riches and honor, enduring, wealth and prosperity. My fruit is better
than fine gold. What I yield surpasses choice over. I walk in the
way of righteousness, along the paths of justice, bestowing wealth on those who
love me and making their their treasuries full. The Lord brought me forth as
the first of his works, before his deeds of old. I was appointed
from eternity from the beginning, before the world began, when there were no
oceans. I was given birth when there were no springs abounding with water,
before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills. I was given
birth before he made the earth or its fields, or any of the dust
of the world. I was there when he set the heavens in place,
when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, when he
established the clouds above and fixed securely the founds of the deep, when he
gave the seat its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command. And
when he marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was the craftsman
at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always
in his presence, rejoicing in his whole world, and delighting in mankind.
Now, then my sons, listen to me. Bless are those who keep
my ways. Listen to my instruction, and be wise, do not ignore
it. Blesses the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor
from the Lord. But whoever fails to find me harms himself. All who
hate me love death. All right, Book a Provert Chapter eight, reading
right there, Okay, very powerful when it comes to wisdom and the creation
of God. Amen. Very detailed, very well written explained. Amen.
Okay, So that's Proverts chapter eight. Now let's go into Book a Provert
Chapter nine. All right, Proverbs chapter the nine. Here we go,
invitations of wisdom and a folly. Wisdom has built her house, She has
whom out at seven pillars. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine.
She has also set her table. She has sent out her maids,
and she calls from the highest point of the city. Let all who are
simple come in here, she says, to those who lack judgment, come
eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways
and you will live walk in the way of understanding. Whoever corrects a mocker
invites insult. Whoever rebukes a wicked man and cares abuse. Do not rebuke
a mocker, or he will hate you. Rebuke a wise man, he
will love you. Instruct the wise man, he will be wiser. Still,
Teach a righteous man, and he will add to his learning. The
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy
One is understanding. For through me your days will be many, and years
will be added to your life. If you're a wiser, wisdom will reward
you. If you are a mocker, you alone will suffer. The woman
Folly is loud, She is undisciplined and without knowledge. She sits at the
door her house, on a seat at the highest point of city, calling
out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way, Let
all who are simple come in here. She says to those who lack judgment,
stolen water is sweet food. Eating the secret is delicious. But little
do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the
depths of the grave. All right, So that's the Book a Prish chapter
nine, reading right there. What I would love to do is read it
in commentary scripture. Within Provers chapter nine, God gives understanding. The fear
of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy witness.
Understanding the Book of Proverbs chapter nine, verse ten. Okay, so now
let's go to Book a Proverbs chapter ten. All right, Proverbs chapter ten.
Here we go the Proverbs of Solomon. Proverbs of Solomon. A why
son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grieved to his mother.
Ill Gotten treasures are of no value, but righteousness delivers from death.
The Lord does not let their righteous go hungry, but he thwarts the craving
of the wi. Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring
wealth. He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he
who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son. Who blesses crown The head of
the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. The memory of
the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise and heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.
The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will
be found out. He who winks maliciously causes grief, and a chattering fool
comes to ruin. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. Hatreds. There's a dissension,
but love covers all wrongs. Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning,
but a rod is for the back of him who lacks judgment. Wise
men's throw up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin. The
wealth of the riches their fortified city, but poverty is the ruined the poor.
The wages of the righteous bring them life, but the income of the
wicked brings them punishment. Who he's discipline shows the way to life, but
whoever ignores correction leads others astraight. He who conceals his hatred has lying lips
and whoever spreads slander is a fool. When words are many, sin is
not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. The tongue of
the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little
value. The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack
of judgment. The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he asks no
trouble to it. A fool finds pleasure and evil conduct, but a man
of understanding delights and wisdom. What the wicked dreads will overtake him. What
the righteous desire will be granted. When the storm has swept by, the
wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever, as vinegar to the
teeth and smoke to the eyes. So is a sluggard to those who send
him. The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years
of the wicked are cut short. The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes that a wicked come to nothing. The way of the Lord
is a refuge for the righteous, but it's the ruin of those who do
evil. The righteous will never be uprooted, but the wicked will not remain
in the land. The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but of
perverse tongue will be cut out. The lips of the righteous know what is
fitting, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse. All right.
So that's the Book of Proverbs chapter ten, reading right there, Yes,
yes, y'all, where it is a double edged sword. All right.
I would love to reason in commentary scripture within Proverbs ten, God gives
wealth the Book of Proverbs chapter ten, verse twenty two. The blessing of
the Lord brings wealth, and he asks no trouble to it. I will
also love to read this commentary within Proverbs ten. Overall based on Proverbs nine
and ten. Today's Bible reading the Book of Proverbs chapter nine, verses one
through eighteen. Recommended reading the Book of Job chapter twenty eight, verses twenty
through twenty eight, the Book of Proverbs chapter eight, versus one through eleven.
Also the Book of Proverts chapter fifteen, verse fourteen, and also the
Book of James chapter one, versus five through seven. The title of this
commentary is dead Folks Don't bleed. The psychiatrist had a new patient on the
schedule. When the man entered the psychiatrist's office. He stopped and stood stiffly
by the counselor's desk. The psychiatrist invited the new patient to sit down,
but the man replied that he couldn't. I'm here against my will, he
explained. My family thought I should talk to you about my problem, but
I don't have a problem because I'm dead. The psychiatrist observed the patient for
a moment and then asked him do dead people bleed? Rather quickly, the
man answered no, it's impossible for dead people to bleed. Immediately, the
psychiatrist pulled a needle from his desk drawer and stuck the man's arm. A
tiny dot of blood appeared. Well, that's interesting, the patient said,
dead people do bleed. Nothing ruins a story more quickly than explain it,
and in this case, however, the point of the story trump's story itself.
The patient's own answer provides an example of his folly. If instead he
answered that that's interesting on bliss, so I must be alive, his answer
would have provided an example of wisdom, although would have made for a much
less interesting story, made for a much less interest story. Solomon gives us
another perspective on wisdom and folly by portraying them as women. Look at the
differences between the two. Wisdom prepares a meal for her own. Folly steals
hers. Wisdom serves wine. Folly steals water to serve. Wisdom sends servants
to invite gifts. Folly stands at her door loudly and profanely calling out to
people. Wisdom urges those on the wrong path to walk in the way of
Wisdom urges those on the straight path to hop off and follow her. Wisdom's
invitation leads to life. Folly's invitation leads to death. Most of us see
clear distinctions between wisdom and folly. However, have you ever made what you
thought to be a rational decision, only to realize later that it was misguided.
When we reflect on these kinds of decisions, we often discovered that they're
based on feelings of motions, bad, advice, anger, or spite.
Some of these words make pretty good synonyms for folly and could try. As
Solomon reminds us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom Verse
ten. When we grow closer to God, he makes the differences between folly
and wisdom clear for us. Amen, things to take away from the commentary.
Have you ever made a decision that seemed right at the time but turned
out to be completely wrong looking back? How might you have changed your original
decision? What situations have you been in that seemed wise but that God later
refilled as folly? How has your understanding of wisdom changed as you have become
closer to God? Got to reflect people who got to be better with our
choices? Me, you, everybody, all of us ain't man. Let's
be wiser with our choices or seek God for the answers. Let us believe
in the Lord's report. From now, I want to seek God for everything?
Amen, Yes, yes, yea. Also that's the Book of proversh
up to tend reading commentary, scripture and commentary overall. Now let us go
to the Book of Proverbs, chapter eleven. All right, the Book of
Proverts chapter eleven. Here we go. The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but
accurate waits are his delight. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, But
with humility comes wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the
unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight
way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.
The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil
desires. When a wicked man dies, his whope perishes. All he expected
from his power comes to nothing. The righteous man is rescued from trouble,
and it comes on the wicked instead. With his mouth, the godless destroys
his neighbor, but through knowledge he the righteous, escapes. When the righteous
prosper, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there are shouts of
joy. Through the blessing of the upright, a city is exalted, but
by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed. A man who lacks judgment
derives his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue. A gossip
betrays the confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret. For lack of
guidance, a nation falls, but many advisers make sure make victory. Sure
he who puts up security for another will surely suffer. But whoever refused to
strike hands in a pledge is safe. A kind hearted woman gains respect,
but ruthless men gain only wealth. A kind man benefits himself, but a
cruel man brings trouble on himself. The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but
he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. The truly righteous man attains life,
but he who pursues evil goes forth goes to his death. The Lord
detests men of perverse heart, but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.
Be sure if this, the wicked will not go on punish, but
those who are righteous will go free. Like a gold ring and a pig
snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. The desire if the righteous
ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.
One man gives freely, yet gains even more. Another withholds unduly but comes
to poverty. A generous man will prosper. He who refreshes others will himself
be refreshed. People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessing crowns him
who is willing to sell. He who seeks good finds good will, but
evil comes to him who searches for it. Whoever trusts in his riches will
fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. He who brings
trouble on his family will inherit only win, and the fool will be servant
to the wise, will be a servant to the wise. The fruit of
the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wives.
If the righteous received their due on earth, how much more the ungodly
in the sinner. All right? So that's the Book of Proverbs chapter eleven
reading right there. Okay, so very excellent read. I would love to
read the incommentary scriptures within Proverbs eleven. Okay, so here we go.
God loves honesty the Book of Proverbs, chapter eleven, verse one. The
Lord abhors dishonest scales, but accurate waits are his delight. Right. Many
gotta be honest, people, gotta be honest, transparent with our ways and
with the Lord. Okay, God hates deceit. The Book of Proverbs chapter
twelve, verse two. A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but
the Lord condemns a crafty man. Alright, So those are the incommentary scriptures
within Proverbs eleven. Okay, Now let us go to the Book of Proverbs,
chapter twelve. Okay, the Book of Proverbs, chapter twelve. Here
we go. Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is
stupid. A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but the lord cans
the crafty man. A man cannot be established the wickedness, but the righteous
cannot be uprooted. A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but
a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. The plans that are righteous
are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful. The words of
the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues
them. Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, but the house of
a righteous stands firm. A man is prayers according to his wisdom, but
men with raped minds are despised. Better to be a nobody and yet have
a servant that's pretend to be somebody, and have no food. A righteous
man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindness acts of the
wicked are cruel. He who works his land will have abundant food, but
he who chases fantasies lacks judgment. The wicked desire the plunder of evil men,
but the root of the righteous flourishes. Just want to reread that the
wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.
An evil man is trapped by a sinful talk, but a righteous man
escapes trouble from the fruit of his lips. A man is filled with good
things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him. The way of
a fool seems right to him, but a wise man lists advice. A
fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Reckless
words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment. There
is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those
who promote peace. No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked have their
fill of trouble. The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men
who are truthful. A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the
heart of fools blurts out folly. Diligent hands rule, diligent hands will rule,
but laziness ends in slave labor. An anxious heart weighs a man down,
but a kind where it cheers him up. A righteous man is cautious
in friendship, but the way of the wicked least im astray. The lazy
man does not roast his game, but the diligent man prizes his possessions in
the way of righteousness. There is life. Along that path is immortality.
Amen. So Book A proverts chapter twelve, reading right there, Okay,
Now let us go to Book A proverts chapter thirteen. Okay, Proverbs chapter
thirteen. Here we go. A why son heeds his father's instruction, but
a mocker does not listen to rebuke from the fruit of his lips. A
man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence. He
who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come
to ruin. The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of their
diligent are fully satisfied. The righteous what is false, but the wicked brings
shame and disgrace. Righteousness guards the man of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the
center. One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing. Another pretends
to be poor, yet has great wealth. A man's riches may ransom his
life, but a poor man hears no threat. The light of the righteous
shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out. M Pride
only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is fountain. Those who take advice dishonest.
Money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow
hope. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a
tree of life. He who scorns instruction will pay for it, but he
who respects a command is rewarded. The teaching of the wise is a fountain
of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Good understanding wins
favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. Every prudent man acts
out of nowledge, but a fool exposes his folly. A wicked messenger falls
into trouble, but a trustworthy envoid brings healing. He who ignores discipline comes
to poverty and shame, but whoever heats correction is honored. A longing fulfilled
is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil. He who
walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fool suffers harm.
Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous. A
good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is
stored up for the righteous. A poor man's field may produce abundant food,
but injustice sweeps it away. He who spares the rod hates his son,
but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. The righteous eat to
their heart's content, but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry. All right,
that's a Book of provert chapter thirteen reading. Okay, Now we will
go into the Book of Proverbs, chapter fourteen. Okay, the Book of
Proverbs, chapter fourteen. Here we go. The wise woman builds her house,
but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. He whose
walk is upright fears the Lord, but he whose ways are or devious despises
him. A fool's talk brings a rod to his back, but the lips
of the wives protect them. Where there are no oxen, demandger is empty,
but from the strength of an ox comes in abundant harvests. A truthful
witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours outlies. The mocker seeks
wisdom and finds none, But knowledge comes easily to the discerning. Stay away
from a foolish man, for you will not find knowledge on his lips.
The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the
folly of fools is deception. Fools mock at making amends for sin, but
goodwill is found among the upright. Each heart knows its own bitterness, and
no one else can share its joy. The house of the wicked will be
destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish. There's a way that
seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.
Even in laughter, the heart may ache, and joy may end in grief.
The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good man
rewarded for his A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought
to his steps. A wise man fears the Lord and shuns evil, but
a fool is hot headed and reckless. Mmmm A quick tempered man does foolish
things, and a crafty man is hated. The simple inherent folly, but
the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Evil men will bow down in the presence
of the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. The
poor are shunned even by their neighbors, but the rich have many friends.
He who despises his neighbor sins, but blesses he who is kind to the
needy. Do not those who plot evil go astray, but those who plan
what is good find love and faithfulness. All hard work brings a prophet,
but mere talk leads only to poverty. The wealth of the wise is their
own crown, but the folly of fools yields folly. A truthful witness saves
lives, but a false witness is deceitful. He who fears the Lord has
a secure fortress, and for his children it would be a refuge. The
fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the
snares of death. A large population is a king's glory, but without subjects,
a prince is ruined. A patient man has great understanding, but a
quick tempered man displays folly. A heart at peace gives life to the body,
but envy rots the bones. He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for
their maker. But whoever is kind to the needy honors God. When calamity
comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death, the righteous
have a refuge. Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning, and even
among fools, she lets herself be known. Righteousness exalts a nation, but
sin is a disgrace to any people. Hmm. A king delights and a
wy servant, but a shameful servant and cures his wrath. All right,
So that's the Book of Proverbs chapter fourteen reading. Okay, I would love
to read this in commentary scripture. Within progress fourteen, God gives security the
Book of Proverbs chapter fourteen, Verse twenty six. He who fears the Lord
has a secure fortress, and for his children it would be a refuge.
Very powerful and beautiful. Amen. Now let us go to the Book of
Proverbs chapter fifteen. All right, Proverbs chapter fifteen. Here we go A
gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh ware stirs up anger. The
tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gush is
folly. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked
and the good. The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life,
but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. A fool spirits his father's discipline,
but whoever heats corrections shows prudence. The house of the righteousness, the house
of the righteous contains a great treasure, contains great treasure, but the income
of the wicked brings them trouble. The lips of the widespread knowledge, not
so the hearts of fools. The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked,
but the prayer of the upright pleases him. The Lord detests the way of
the wicked, but he loves those who pursue righteousness. Stern discipline awaits him
who leaves the path. He who hates correction will die. Death and destruction
lie open before the Lord. How much more the hearts of men a mocker
resents correction. He will not consult the wives. A happy heart makes the
face cheerful, but hard a crushes the spirit. The discerning heart seeks knowledge,
but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. All the days of
the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast. Better
a little with the fear of the lord than great wealth with turmoil. Better
a meal of stables where there is love, then a fattened calved with hatred.
Mmmmm. A hot tempered masters up dissension, but a patient man calms
a quarrel. The way of this sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the
path of the upright is a highway. A wise son brings joy to his
father, but a foolish man despises his mother. Folly delights a man who
lacks judgment, but a man of understanding keeps a straight course. Plans fail
for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed. A man finds
joy in giving an apt reply, And how good is a timely word?
M The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going
down to the grave. The lord tears down to prouds man's house, but
he keeps the widow's boundaries. Intact. The Lord detests the thoughts of the
wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him. A greedy man
brings trouble to his family, but he hates. But he who hates bribes
will live. The part of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth
of the wicked gush is evil. The Lord is far from the wicked,
but he hears the prayer of the righteous. A cheerful look brings joy to
the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. He who listens
to a life giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. He who
ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heats correction gains understanding. The fear of
the Lord teaches a man wisdom and humility comes before honor. Yes, yes,
y'all. Amen. That's the Book of Proverbs, chapter fifteen, reading
right there. Because I'm reading Proverbs, it just be hitting me right in
the face. That's true. The DOUBLET sword just be hidden, you feel
me. So as you read the word, it reads you as well.
Amen. So let's always reflect and value what we're doing and make sure it
aligns with the word of God. All right, So now let us go
to Proverbs chapter sixteen. Okay, Proverbs chapter sixteen. Here we go to
man belong the plans of the heart, But from the Lord comes to reply
of the tongue. All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but more
us are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own ends,
even the wicked for a day of disaster. The Lord detest all the
proud of heart, but be sure of this, they will not go unpunished.
Through love and faithfulness, sin is atoned for through the fear of the
Lord. A man avoids evil. When a man's ways are pleasing to the
Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with them. Better a
little with righteousness than much gain with injustice and his heart. A man plans
his course, but the Lord determines his steps. The lips of a king
speak as an oracle, and his mouth should not betray justice. Honest scales
and balances are from the Lord. All the weights in the bag are of
his making. Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness.
Kings take pleasure, and honest lips they value a man who speaks the truth.
A king's ra is a messenger of death, but a wise man will
appease it. When a king's face brightens, it means life. His favor
is like a rain cloud in spring. How much better to get wisdom than
gold, to choose understanding rather than silver. The highway of the upright avoids
evil. He who guards his way guards his life. Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall. Mm Better to be lowly in spirit
and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud. Whoever gives heed
to instruction and prospers and blesses he who trusts in the Lord m The wise
in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction. Understanding is a
fountain of life to those who have it, but falley brings punishment to fools.
A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and healing to the
bones. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in
the end it leads to death. The laborer's appetite works for him. His
hunger drives him on a scoundrel plots evil, and his speech is like a
scorching fire. A perverse masters of dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is
not good. He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity. He who
pursues, he who purses his lips is bent on evil. Gray hair is
a crown of splendor. It is attained by a righteous life. Better a
patient than a warrior, better a man who could, better a patient man
than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a
city. The lot is cast into the lap. But as every decision is
from the Lord, all right, chose. That's a Book of Proverbs chapter
sixteen, reading right there, Okay, I would love to read this in
commentary scripture. Okay, the Book of Proverbs chapter sixteen, Verse one.
God gives the words to speak to man belong the planets of the heart,
but from the Lord comes to reply of the tongue. All right, that's
a commentary scripture within private sixteen. And I'll also able to read a commentary
overall with the private of sixteen. Okay, So, here we go.
Today's Bible reading the Book of Proverbs chapter fifteen, versus one through fifteen.
Recommended reading Psalm thirty four Versus thirteen through fourteen. Also the Book of James
chapter three, versus one through twelve. The title of this commentary is word
choice. The ability to master our mouths, watch our words, and tame
our tongues demonstrate to a level of spiritual and emotional maturity. The opposite is
true as well, and inability to control our speech shows immaturity, and it
can inflict great harm on our relationships. Solomon addresses the importance of controlling our
words by contrasting positive and negative speech. In each case, the effects ends
up as opposites peacefulness or wrath, knowledge or folly, healing or a crushed
spirit. In other way, words, when we fail to control our tongue,
we don't just fail to give or be a blessing. We also cause
a wound that can rupture relationship. Rabbi Joseph Telushkin to Lushkin Arthur of words
that hurt, Whereas that heel states that he asks audiences whether they can go
twenty four hours without saying any unkind words about or to anyone. Invariably a
few people answered yes, but most call out no. He responds to those
who can't answer yes, have a serious problem. If you can't go twenty
four hours without drinking liquor, you're addicted to alcohol. If you can't last
twenty four hours without smoking, you're addicted to nicotine. And if you can't
make it twenty four hours without saying unkind words about others, you've lost control
of your tongue. How can you tell whether your tongue is under control?
You won't say anything about any anything about an individual about an individual that you
can't say directly to that person. You resist the urge to exaggerate. You
consciously examine your thoughts and remove gossip in room from your conversations. You keep
in confidence a personal matter that someone else shares with you. Further, you
learn to speak positive words. Appropriate words communicate affirmation, comfort, and healing.
When was the last time you said something another person that you instantly regretted.
Maybe it was something intended as a joke that was instead of taken as
an offense, Or perhaps it was sharp. It was a sharp word spoken
in anger that you wish you could have taken back. Think of a specific
situation and then challenge yourself to rectify the hurt. While you may not be
able to take back the words of themselves, you can humbly submit yourself to
that person and begin to rebuild their relationship. Amen. Thanks to take away
from the commentary. Do you think most men struggle with controlling their words?
Why? Or why not? How would others evaluate your speech? Would they
say that your words are more frequently healed or wound? What steps can you
take to gain tighter control over your tongue? Got tamed the tongue? People?
And now love reading the Book of James and how James talking about how
the tongue, what the tongue is man, and that the value of it
and what have you? So well, we gotta have self control verbally,
man. The world we're living in with social media and the way people going
off on each other. Man, Oh man, people gotta tame that tongue.
Y'all gotta tame that tongue. Amen. So that's the Book of Proverbs,
chapter sixteen, reading commentary, scripture and a commentary. Okay, now
let us go to the Book of Proverts chapter seventeen. All right, the
Book of Privert chapter seventeen. Here we go better a dry crust with peace
and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife. A why servant will
rule over a disgraceful son, and we'll share the inheritance as one of the
brothers. The crucible the cruscible for silver, and the furnace for gold.
But the lord tests the heart. A wicked man listens to evil lips.
A liar pays attention to a malicious tongue. He who mocks the poor shows
contempt for their maker. Whoever gloats over disaster will not go on punish.
Children's children are a crown to the age, and parents are the pride of
their children. Arrogant lips are unsuited to a fool, how much worse lying
lips to a ruler. A bribe is a charm to the one who gives
it. Wherever he turns, he succeeds. He who covers over He who
covers over an offence promotes love, But whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
A rebuke impresses a man of discernment more than a hundred lashes of a
fool. An evil man is spent only on rebellion. A merciless official will
be sent against him. Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than
a fool his folly. If a man pays back evil for good, evil
will never leave his house. Starting a quarrel is like breaching a damn,
So drop the matter before a dispute breaks out, acquitting the gut and condemn
the innocent. The lord detests them both of what uses money in the hand
of a fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom? A friend
loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. A man
lacking a judgment strikes hands in a pledge and puts up security for his neighbor.
He who loves a quarrel love sin. He who builds a high gate
invites destruction. A man of perverse heart does not prosper. He whose tongue
is deceitful falls into trouble. To have a fool for his son brings grief.
There is no joy for the father of a fool. A cheerful heart
is good medicine, but a crushed spirit drives up the bones. A wicked
man accepts a bribe and secret to pervert the cores of justice. A discerning
man keeps wisdom in view, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of
the earth. A foolish son brings grief to his father, and bitterness to
the one who bore him. It is not good to punish an innocent man,
or to flog officials for their integrity. A man of knowledge uses words
with restraint, and a man of understanding is even tempered. Even the fool
is thought wise if he keeps silent and discerning, if he holds his tongue.
All right, y'alls, that's the Book of Proverbs, chapter seventeen.
Reading A right, very great, excellent reading. Now let's go to the
Book of provert chapter eighteen. A right, the Book of Proverbs, chapter
eighteen. Here we go. An unfriendly man pursues selfish ends. He defies
all sound judgment. A fool finds no pleasure in understanding, but delights in
airing his own opinions. When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with
shame comes disgrace. The words of a man's mouth are deep waters, but
the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. It is not good to be
partial to the wicked, or to deprive the innocent of justice. A fool's
lips bring him strife, and his mouth invites a beating. A fool's mouth
is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul. The
words of a gossip are like choice morsels. They go down to a man's
inmost parts. One who is slacking his work is a brother to destroyer,
is a brother to one who destroys. The name of the Lord is a
strong tower. The righteous run to it and are safe. The wealth of
the rich is their forfeited, fortified city. They imagine it an unscalable wall
before his downfall. A man's heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.
He who answers before listening, that is folly and his shame. That
is his folly and his shame. A man's spirit sustains him his sickness,
But a crushed spirit who can bear the heart of the discerning inquires knowledge.
The ears of the wise seek it out. A gift opens the way for
the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great. The first to
present his case seems right till another comes forward and questions him. Casting the
lot settles disputes and keeps strong opponents apart. An offended brother is more in
yielding than a fortified city, and disputes are like the bared gates a barred
gates of a citado kitsodo from the fruit of his mouth. A man's stomach
is filled with the harvest from his lips. He is satisfied. The tongue
has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat
its fruits. He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor
from the lord. A poor man pleads for mercy, but a rich man
answers harshly. A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there
is a friend who stays closer than a brother. Amen, y'all, that's
the Book of Proverbs chapter eighteen. Reading are right? Now, let us
go to the Book of Proverbs chapter nineteen. Okay, now, before we
go into proverts chapter nineteen, I just want to read the incommentary scriptures within
eighteen and nineteen. God is a lasting friend. The book the proverb shup
to eighteen, verse twenty four. A man of many companions may come to
ruin, but there is a friend of sticks closer than a brother. God
prevails in his plans. The book a proverb to nineteen, verse twenty one.
Many are the plans in a man's heart, But it is the Lord's
purpose that prevails a man. So let us go to a proverts nineteen to
fully. Now better a poor man whose walk is blameless, than a fool
whose whose lips are perverse. It is not good to have zeal without knowledge,
nor to be hasty, hasty and miss the way. A man's own
folly ruins his life, Yet his heart rages against the lord. Wealth brings
many friends, but a poor man's friend deserts him, deserts him. A
false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not
go free. Many curry favor with a ruler, and everyone is the friend
of a man who gives gifts. A poor man is shunned by all his
relatives. How much more does do his friends avoid him, Though he pursues
them with pleading, they are nowhere to be found. He who gets wisdom
loves his own soul. He who cherishes understanding prospers. A false witness will
not go unpunished, and he who pours out lives will perish it is not
fitting for a fool to live in luxury, how much worse for a slave
to rule over princes. A man's wisdom gives impatience. It is to his
glory to overlook an offense. A king's rage is like the roar of a
lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass. A foolish son
is his father's ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.
Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the
Lord. Laziness brings on deep sleep, and a shiftless man goes hungry.
He who obeys instructions guards his life, but he who is contemptuous of his
ways will die. He who was kind to the poor to the Lord,
and he will reward him for what he has done. Discipline your son,
for in that there is hope. Do not be a willing party to his
death. A hot tempered man must pay the penalty. If you rescue him,
you will have to do it again. Listen to advice and instruction,
and in the end you will be wise. Many are the plans in a
man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails. What a man
desires is unfailing love. Better to be poor than a liar. The fear
of the lord leads to life than one rest content untouched by trouble. The
sluggard buries his hand in a dish, he will not even bring it back
to his mouth. Flog a mocker, and a simple will learn prudence.
Rebuke a discerning man, and he will gain knowledge. He who robs his
father and drives out his mother is a son who brings shame and disgrace.
Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words
of knowledge. A corrupt witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the
wicked gulps down evil penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs
of fools. All right, that's the Book of Proverbs, chapter nineteen reading.
Okay, now let's go to Book a Proverb, chapter twenty. All
right, Proverbs chapter twenty. Here we go. Wine is a mocker,
Wine is a mocker, and beer a brawler. Whoever is led astray by
them is not wise. A king's wrath is like the roar of a lion.
He who angers him forfeits his life. It is to a man's honor
to avoid strife, But every fool is quick to quarrel. A sluggard does
not blow in season plowing season, so at harvest time he looks but finds
nothing. The purposes of a man's heart are deep waters, but a man
of understanding draws them out. Many a man claims to have unfailing love,
but a faithful man who can find the righteous man leads a blameless life,
blessed out his children after him. When a king sits on his throne to
judge, he when knows out all evil with his eyes, who can say,
I have kept my heart pure, I am cleaning without sin, deferring
weights and deferring measures. The Lord detests both of them. Detest them both.
Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is
pure and right. Ears that here and eyes that see the Lord has made
them both. Do not love sleep, or you will grow poor. Stay
awake, and you will have food to spare. It's no good. It's
no good, says the buyer. Then off he goes and boast to buy
his purchase. Gold there is, and ruby's in abundance, But lips that
speak knowledge are a rare jewel. Take the garment of one who puts up
security for a stranger, hold it in pledge if he does it for a
wayward woman. Food gained by fraud taste sweet to a man, but he
ends up with a mouth full of gravel. Gravel. Make plans by seeking
advice. If you wage war, obtain god. A gossip betrays a confidence,
So avoid a man who talks too much. If a man curses his
father or mother, his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness. An
inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will not be blessed at the end. Do
not say I'll pay you back for this wrong. Wait for the Lord.
He will deliver you. The Lord detests differring weights and dishonest skills do not
please him. A mass steps are directed by the Lord. How then,
can anyone understand his own way. It is a trap for a man to
dedicate something rashly and only later to consider his vows. A wise king,
when knows out the wicked, he drives the threshing wheel over them. The
lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of a man. It searches out his
inmost being, Love and faithfulness. Keep a king safe. Through love,
his throne is made secure. The glory of young men is their strength,
gray hair, the splendor of the old. Blows and wounds cleanse away and
beatings purge the inmost being. M It's a book, a private chapter twenty
right there. Yes, yes, I would love to read the in commentary
scripture within Proverbs twenty God direct steps the Book of Proverbs, chapter twenty,
verse twenty four. A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How then
can anyone understand its own way? It's a very powerful interest of scripture because
a lot of times people walk around with no certainty or kind of confused or
kind of wondering what if and why? And you know, but the lords
in control, the lords of control. You just walk into something without even
knowing it's gonna be there, or walk into a coincidence. Nothing's cool with
it's a coincidence, y'all. You know, God is in control, man,
God is a control. Amen. So always ask the Lord to guide
your steps, your feet, your steps, your path, your journey,
like asking More's gods You'll protect you everywhere you go. Amen. Yes,
yes, so that's private chapter twenty reading right there. Okay, now let's
go to Proverbs, chapter twenty one. The king's heart is in the hand
of the Lord. He erects it like a water course, wherever he pleases.
All a man's ways seem right to him, But the Lord weighs the
heart to do what is right and just as more acceptable to the Lord than
sacrifice. Haughty eyes and a proud heart the lamp of the wicked are sent.
The plans of the diligent leads to profit, as surely as haste leads
to poverty. A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and
a deadly snare. The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for
they refuse to do what is right. The way of the guilty is devious,
but the conduct of the innocent is upright. Better to live on a
corner of the roof that share a house with a quarrelsome wife. The wicked
man craves evil. His neighbor gets no mercy from him. When a mocker
is punished, the simple gain wisdom. When a wise man is instructed,
he gets knowledge. The righteous one takes note of the house of the wicked
and brings the wicket to ruin. If a man shuts his ear to the
cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.
If given in secret soothes anger, and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies
great wrath. When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous,
but terror to evildoers. A man who strays from the path of understanding it
comes to rest in the company of the dead. He who loves pleasure will
become poor. Whoever loves wine and oil will never be rich. The wicked
become a ransom for the righteous and the unfaithful for the upright. Better to
live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill tempered wife. Mmmmm.
In the house of the wives are stores of choice, food and oil.
But a foolish man devours all he has. He who pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity, and honor. A wise man attacks the city of
the mighty and pulls down the stronghold in which they trust. He who guards
his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. The proud and arrogant man,
mocked is his name. He behaves with overweening pride. The sluggard's craving
will be the death of him because his hands refused to work all day long.
He craves for more, but the righteous give without sparron. The sacrifice
of the wicked is detestable, how much more so when brought with evil intent.
A false witness will perish, and whoever listens to him will be destroyed
forever. A wicked man puts up a bold front, but an upright man
gives thought to his ways. There is no wisdom, no insight, no
plan that can succeed against the Lord. The house the horse is made ready
for the day of battle, but victory rest is with the Lord. Amen.
That's the book of Private Chapter twenty one reading Okay, very excellent,
read well, I'd love to do before I continue on. Privates twenty two
is read the incommentary scripture within twenty two of Proverbs. Okay, God is
the creator of all Private Chapter twenty two, Verse two. The rich and
apport have this in common. The Lord is the maker of the mall.
Yes, yes, sir, right, So now let's read the whole prover
of twenty two fully. Okay, So here we go. A good name
is more desirable than great riches. To be esteemed is better than silver,
gold. Rich and poor have this in common. The Lord is the maker
of them all. A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the
simple keep going and suffer for it. Humility and the fear of the Lord
bring wealth and honor and life. And the paths of the wicked lie thorns
and snares, But he who guards his soul stays far from them. Train
a child in the way he should go, and when he is old,
he will not turn from it. The rich rule over the poor, and
the borrower is servant to the lender. He who sows wickedness reaps trouble,
and the rot of his feary will be destroyed. A generous man will himself
be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. Drive out the
mocker, and outgo strife. Quarrels and insults are ended. He who loves
a pure heart and who speech is gracious, will have the King for his
friend. The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge, but he frustrates
the words of the unfaithful. The sluggard says, there's a lion outside,
or I will be murdered in the streets. The mouth of an adultress is
a deep pit. He who is under the Lord's wrath will fall to it.
Man oh man, m Folly is bound up in the heart of a
child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him. He
who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth, and he who gives gives to
the rich, both come to poverty. Sayings of the wise. Pay attention
to listen to the sayings of the wise. Apply your heart to what I
teach. For it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart, and
have all of them ready on your lips, so that your trust may be
in the Lord. I teach you today even you have not, have I
not written thirty sings for you, sayings of counsel and wisdom, teaching you
true and reliable words, so that you can give sound answers to Him who
sent you. Do not exploit the poor because they are poor, and do
not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case
and will plunder those who plunder them. Do not make friends with the hot
tempered man. Do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn
his ways and get yourself insnared. Do not be a man who strikes hands
in pledge or puts up security for depths. If you lack the means to
pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you. Do not move
an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers. Do you see a man
skilled in his work, He will serve before kings. He will not serve
before obscure men. All right, so that's the Book of Provers chapter twenty
two. Okay, Now let us go to the Book of prover shapter twenty
three. All right, look a provert ship twenty three. Here we go.
When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before
you, and put a knife to your throat. If you are given to
gluttony, do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive. Do
not wear yourself out to get rich. Have the wisdom to show restraint.
M Cast but a glance at riches and they are gone, for they will
surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Do not
eat the food of a stingy man. Do not crave his delicacies, for
he is the kind of man who will who is always thinking about the cost
eat and drink. He says to you but his heart is not with you.
Mmm mmmmmm. Will you will vomit up the little you have eaten,
and will have washed and have wasted your compliments. Do not speak to a
fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words. Do not move
an ancient boundary stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their
defender is strong. He will take up their case against you. Apply your
heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge. Apply your heart to
instruction and your ears to words of knowledge. Do not withhold discipline from a
child. If you punish him with the rod, he will not die.
Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death. My son,
if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad. My inmost
being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right. Do not let your
heart envy sinners, but always be zilious for the fear of the Lord.
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be
cut off. Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your
heart on the right path. Do not join those who drink too much wine
or gorge themselves on meat. For drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness
clothes them in the rags. Listen to your father, who gave you life.
And do not despise your mother when she is old by the truth,
and do not sell it. Get wisdom, discipline, and understand. The
father of a righteous man has great joy. He who has a wise son
delights in him. May your father and mother be glad. May she who
gave you birth rejoice, my son. Give me your heart, and let
your eyes keep to my ways. For a prostitute is a deep pit,
and a wayward wife is a narrow well, like a bandit. She lies
in wait and multiplies the unfaithful among men who has woe, who has sorrow,
who has strife, who has complaints, who has needless bruises, who
has bloodshot eyes, Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls
of mixed wine. Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when
it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly. In the end,
it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper. Your eyes will
see strange sights, and your mind and magic confusing things. You'll be like
one sleeping on the high seas lying on top of the rig, and they
hit me, you will say, But I'm not hurt. They beat me,
but I don't feel it. What I awake, so I can find
another drink? All right, So it's the Book of Proverbs chapter twenty three
reading. All right, Well, I would love to do before I read
Proverbs chapter twenty four is read the commentary within Proverbs twenty three. Okay,
so let's go through with the commentary. Today's Bible reading the Book of Proverbs
chapter twenty three, verses fifteen through thirty five. Recommended reading the Book of
Deuteronomy chapter six, verses one through nine, and also the Book of Proverbs
chapter twenty verse seven. The tie of this commentary is the dad talk.
Do you remember the dad talk? Maybe you recall your dad trying his best,
failing somewhat at wisdom and wit, but succeeding admirably in the areas of
heart and concern. Perhaps you felt a little embarrassed over his awkwardness but appreciate
his sincerity. Maybe you recall that your dad never got around to the conversation,
but that you wanted him to. Or perhaps you didn't know your father
and missing the talk has left you feeling angry and cheated. Much of proverse
provides a script for all kinds of dad talks. That makes sense because in
most of proverbs, a dad is talking. In addition, the book includes
not just one father's wisdom, Solomon's. It also includes the fatherly wisdom of
God. Look at some of the relationship topics for a father's son discussion included
in Justice one chapter. If the son's heart is wise, the dad's heart
will be glad see verse fifteen. Both the dad who gave life to the
son see verse twenty two and the mom who gave birth to him see verse
twenty four desire to see him make the best of his life. Furthermore,
Solomon provides bits of wisdom that can seede longer conversations, while the truth can
be brought but shouldn't be sold see verse twenty three. How to choose a
wife wisely see verses twenty six through twenty eight. What those beer commercials during
game breaks leave out of the message see verses twenty nine through thirty five.
Dad talks need to be conversations, cover all kinds of topics and take place
frequently. As such, they can provoke laughter, tears, hugs and high
fives. Father son conversation should be lifelong dialogues were a short and simple parent
to child check ins mature into a delightful exchange between deeply connected men. If
you have a son or know some other younger man whom you can influence for
God, take a cue from Solomon. This young man needs to know he
can trust you with his heart. For that to happen, you need to
trust him with your heart. Amen. Thanks to take away from the commentary.
In general, what expectations do you have about father son communication? Almost
the last time you prayed about your relationship with your son, imagine your son
five twenty years from now, what kind of relationship would you like to have
with him at each of those points? What can you do now to make
that happen? Amen? That's a commentary right there. Man, A dad
talked the Father of Sokratus through his word, people, He's talking to us
through a spirit, through his dreams, visions, signs, wondrous prophets and
angels. The Father soakotusts multiple various ways. Y'all gotta be obedient and listen
and heark it to his ways. Hearker to his words y'all. The scriptures
of the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Lost Books of the Bible.
That's the word. That's file talking to us, y'all. And in
our personal live God's telling us personal things, secret things. Okay, show
these things. All right, Father's talking to you all. Let's be obedient
and talk with him. Talk to him, Pray to him, cry to
him, ask him, all right everything, man, he's he's a heavily
father. He's our heavily father. Amen, So talk to him, y'all.
Amen, Yes, yes, So that's the Book of proverts chapter twenty
three, and reading and commentary. Okay, Now let us go to the
Book of proversh Chapter twenty four. PROVERTSH Chapter twenty four. Here we go.
Do not envy, wicked men, do not desire their company. For
their hearts plot violence and their lips talk about making trouble by wisdom of house
is built and through understanding. It is established. Through knowledge, its rooms
are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. A wise man has great power,
and a man of knowledge increases strength. For waging war, you need guidance
and for victory many advisors. Wisdom is too high for a fool and the
assembly at the gate, he has nothing to say. He who plots evil
will be known as a schemer. The schemes of folly are sin and men
to test the mocker. If you falter in times of trouble, how small
is your strength? Rescue those being led away to death. Hold back those
staggering towards slaughter. If you say, but we knew nothing about this,
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it. Does not he who guards
your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he
has done. Eat honey, my son, for it is good. Honey
from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is sweet
to your soul. If you find it, there's a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off. Do not lie in wait
like an outlaw against a righteous man's house. Do not rate his dwelling place.
For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again. But
the wicked are brought down by calamity. Do not gloat when your enemy falls.
When he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice, or the Lord
will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from him. Do not fret
because of evil men, or be envious of the wicked, For the evil
man has no future hope, and a lamp of the wicked will be snuffed
out. Fear the Lord and the King, my son, and do not
join with the rebellious, for those two will send sudden destruction upon them,
and who knows what calamities they can bring. Further sayings of the wise,
These also are sayings of the wise. To show partially partiatility, partialty and
judging is not good. Whoever says to the guilty you are innocent, peoples
will curse him, and nations denounce him. But it will go well with
those who convict the guilty, and rich blessed will come upon them. An
honest answer is like a kiss on the lips. Finish your outdoor work and
get your fields ready. After that, build your house. Do not testify
against your neighbor without cause, or use your lips to deceive him. Do
not say, I'll do to him as he has done to me. I'll
pay that man back for what he did. I went past the field of
the sluggard, past the vine yard of the man who lacks judgment. Thorns
and thorns had come up everywhere the ground was covered with weeds, and the
stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and
learned a lesson from what I saw. A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come on
you like a bandit at scartsy, like an armed man. All right,
that's the book of Proverts. Shop to twenty four reading. Now let's go
to the Provish chapter twenty five. All right, more proverbs of Solomon.
These are more proverbs of Solomon, copied by the men of Hezekiah, King
of Judah. It is the glory of God to conceal the matter. To
search out of matter is the glory of kings. The glory of kings.
As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of
kings are unsearchable. Remove the dross from the silver and outcomes material for the
silversmith. Remove the wicked from the King's presence, and his throne will be
established through righteousness. Do not exalt yourself in the king's presence, and do
not claim a place among great men. It is better for him to say
to you, come up here, than for him to humiliate you before a
noble man what you have seen with your eyes. Do not bring hastily to
court. Hastily to court, for what will you do in the end if
your neighbor puts you to shame? If you argue. If you argue your
case with the neighbor, do not portray another mass confidence, or he who
hears it may shame you, and you will never lose your bad reputation.
A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold and settings of silver, like
an arr and of gold, airring of gold, and of an ornament of
fine gold. Is a wise man's rebuke to a listening ear, like the
coolness of snow at harvest time. Is a trustworthy messager to those who send
him. He refreshes the spirit of his master's like clouds and win without rain.
As a man who boast of gives, he does not give through patience.
A ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.
If you find honey, eat just enough, too much of it,
and you will vomit. Seldom set your foot in your neighbor's house. Too
much of you, and he will hate you. Like a club or a
sword or a sharp arrow. Is the man who gives false testimony against his
neighbor, like a bad tooth or a lame foot. Is reliance on the
unfaithful in times of trouble, like one who takes away garment on a cold
day, or like vinegar port on soda, As one who sings songs to
a heavy heart. If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat.
If he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this,
you will heat burning clothes on his head, and the Lord will reward
you. As a north wind brings rain, so a slide tongue brings angry.
Looks better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house
with a crailsome wife. Yep, yep, Like cold water to a weary
soul. Is good news from a distant land, like a muddied spring or
a polluted well. Is a righteous man who gives away to the wicked.
Who gives way to the wicked. M It is not good to eat too
much honey, nor is it honorable to seek one's own honor like a city
whose walls are broken down. As a man who lacks self control. M
that's a book of private shop twenty five. Right there, yes, yes,
y'all. Now let's go to book a provert shop to twenty six prover
twenty six. Here we go. Like snow in summer, or rain and
harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool, like a fluttering sparrow or
darting swallow. An undeserved curse does not come to rest. A whip for
the horse, a halter for the donkey, and a rod for the backs
of fools. Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you
would be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, or
he would be wise in his own eyes, Like cutting off one's feet or
drinking. Violence is descending of a message by the hand of a fool,
like a lame man's legs. That lhang limp is a proverb in the mouth
of a fool, like tying a stone and a sling is giving. Is
the giving of honor to a fool, like a thorn bush in a drunkard's
hand is a proverb in the mouth of a fool, like an archer who
wounds at random. Is he who hires a fool for any passer by as
a dog returns to his vomit. So a fool repeats his folly. Do
you see a man wise in his own eyes? There's more hope for a
fool than for him. The slugger says, there is a line in the
road, A fierce line roam in the streets. As a door turns on
its hinges, so a slugger turns on his bed. The slugger buries his
hand in a dish. He is too lazy to bring it back to his
mouth. The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who answered
discreetly, Like one who seizes a dog by the ears. Is a passer
by who meddles in a quarrel not his own, like a madman shooting firebands
or deadly arrows, as a man who deceives his neighbor and says, I
was only joking. Without wood, a fire goes out without gossip. A
quarrel dies down as charcoal to embers, and as wood to fire. So
as a quarrelsome man for cleveland strife. The words of a gossip are like
choice morsels. They go down to a man's most inmost parts, a man's
inmost parts, like a coating of glaze over earthenware, are fervent lips with
an evil heart. A malicious man disguised himself with his lips, but in
his heart he harbors deceit. Though his speech is charming, do not believe
him, for seven abominations fill his heart. His malice may be concealed by
deception, but his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. If a man
digs a pit, he would fall into it. If a man rolls a
stone, it would roll back on him. A lying tongue hates those it
hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin. All right, So that's a
book of Proverbs, Chapter twenty six reading, all right, Well, I
would love to do before I go into privates twenty seven is read the commentary
within it. Within Privates twenty six. All right, so here we go.
This is just like an older blasphemed the past regarding the Josiah. Okay,
the type of the commentary is Holy raged Josiah, just as he had
done at Bethel. Josiah removed and defiled all the shrines at the high places
that the kings of Israel built in the towns of Samaria that had provoked the
Lord to anger. Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the
altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
The Book of Second Kings shout the twenty three verses nineteen through twenty. Josiah
stood near the creuddly formed rock wall. His little eight year old arm wrapped
itself almost distinctively around the slender trunk of a date palm tree. He leaned
into the truck the trunk as if to hide. This was not a site
for an eight year old. A giant metal statue as tall as a tree
stood in the center of a roaming fire. The statue's face looked like an
ox with curved horns, but it had the body of a man. Its
arms stretched out in front of its torso, as though it were expecting a
gift. The statue glowed gold and red as the vast flames involved enveloped the
iron god. Josiah was far away, clinging to the rocky side the hill,
but he imagined, he imagined he could feel the heat of the flame.
He tugged on the cloak of the tall, white haired Josebad, who
was in charge of looking after him. What is their statue, Sir Josiah
asked. Jose Bad got down his knee and pulled back the hood of his
cloak. It is a statue of Mulich, he said, with great sadness
in his voice. These people are worshiping him. A great noise came from
the crowd of the people below. A strange man and strange clothes. A
priest of some sort had climbed into a large rock in front of the great
statue and had begun yelling. The throngs of people yelled in response. Drums
began to beat. But now Josiah could hear a new sound floating over the
night air. It was a sound of a baby crime. The priest was
holding an infant wrapped in brown cloth. He violently unwrapped the baby like a
wolf ripping through the wool of a sheep. Josebat turned Josiah's face away from
the scene. I was wrong to bring you such evil as not for his
voice choked. Josebad was crying. Josiah turned to look at him in time
to see the priest walking toward the iron statue the baby held out before him.
Josiah grasped. Josiah gasped as the infant's naked body was laid on the
white, hot outstretched arms of the idol. The crowd roared and the valley
echoed with the sounds of the chants. Years later, as a young man,
Josiah would build an army and send it to destroy all the altars of
Mulich as far as his men could march. His captains sometimes wandered where Josiah
got such rage. He was known to grab and ax himself and cut down
ashura polls. Sometimes the men would see him crying as he did it,
as sometimes Josiah would sit his men down and tell them what he had seen
that night. All agreed that both Josiah's tears and his rage were from God.
Amen Back to the future. Idol worship may seem a far off in
ancient practice, but today many parents bow at the altar of Work. Have
you ever seen parents sacrifice their families to the God of Work. Josiah's record
and fighting idolatry is a model for us as we fight internally to keep negative
influences out of our lives. What steps can you take to guard your heart
from false gods. Josiah was passionate about removing idolatry from his land. What
can you do to stir up a passion against all idols in your life,
a passion to be devoted to God alone. The story continues. Read about
Josiah's reign and the Book of Second Kings chapter twenty one versus twenty four all
the way through the Book of Second Kings chapter twenty three, verse thirty and
also the Book of Second Chronicles chapter thirty three versus twenty five, all the
way through thirty five, the Book of Second chronic chapter thirty three versus twenty
five, all the way through the Book of secon Chronic shopter thirty five,
verse twenty six. All right, so that's the commentary right there. Okay,
turn down them idols, people, turn them down. You only worship
the true God of abrahamas and Jacob. That's it was Israel's problem. I
was worshiping all types of crazy stuff. That's why God punished them. Okay,
So let us stay faithful and rewarded, and keep on being faithful and
steadfast on the true one of Abraham, the one true one of Shem,
the one of abrahams Jacob, the one of job Noah Daniel, the one
of the only beginning still death for our sins. That's the true one we
worship. Amen most definitely also stayed that way forever. Yes. Yes,
So that's the Book of Provers chapter twenty six and commentary reading altogether. Now
let us go to Book of Proverbs chapter twenty seven. All right, the
Book of Provers shop twenty seven. Now, before I go into that,
I just want to read this in commentary scripture within that as well. Okay,
in commentary scripture within proverss twenty seven, Verse two, God commends humility.
Let another praise you, and not your own mouth, someone else,
and not your own lips. All right, so let's go to Prover shop
twenty seven. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what
a day may bring forth. Let another man praise you, and not your
own mouth, someone else, and not your own lips. Stone is heavy
and sand a burden, but provocation by a fool is heavier than both.
Being provoked by a fool is heavier than both. Anger is cruel and fury
overwhelming. But who can stand before jealousy? Better is open abuke than hidden
love. M Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies
kisses. He who is full load is honey loads honey. But to the
hungry even what is better tastes sweet. Like a bird that strays from its
nest, is a man who strays from his home. Perfume and incense bring
joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest.
Counsel, do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father,
and do not go to your brother's house. One disaster strikes you better a
neighbor near by than a brother far away. Be wise, my son,
and bring joy to my heart. Then I can answer anyone who treats me
with contempt the prudency danger, and take refuge. But the simple keep going
and suffer for it. Take the garment of one who puts up security for
a stranger, hold it in pledge if he does not, if he does
it for a wayward woman. If a man loudly blesses his neighbor early in
the morning, it will be taken as a curse. A quarrelsome wife is
like a constant dripping on a rainy day. Restraining her is like restraining the
wind of grasping oil with the hand as iron as iron sharpens iron, so
one man sharpens another. He who tends a fig tree will eat his fruit,
and he who looks after his master will be honored. As water reflects
a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. Death and destruction are
never satisfied, and neither are the eyes of man. The crucible for silver
and the furnace for gold. But man is tested by the praise he receives.
Though you grind a fool in a mortar, grinding him like grain with
a pestle, you will not remove his folly from him. Be sure you
know the condition and of your flocks. Give careful intention to your herds,
for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all
generations. When the hay is removed and new growth repairs, and the grass
from the hills is gathered in, the lambs will provide you with clothing,
and the goats with the price of a field. You have plenty of goat's
milk to feed you and your family, and to nourish your servant girls.
All right, that's the Book of Proverts, chapter twenty seven reading. All
right, now, let us go to the Book of Proverts chapter twenty eight.
Reading all right, the Book of Proverts, Chapter twenty eight, Here
we go. The wicked man flees, though no one pursues, but the
righteous are bold as a lion. When a country is rebellious, it has
many rulers, but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order. A ruler
who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops. Those
who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist
them. Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord
understand it fully better. A poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich
man whose ways are perverse. He who keeps the law is a discerning son,
but a companion of glutton's. The graces disgraces his father. He who
increases his wealth by exhorbitant interest and masses it for another, who will be
kind to the poor. If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law,
even his prayers are detestable, Oh man man, I gotta repeat that one.
If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are
detestable. He who leads the upright along an evil path will fall into his
own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance. A rich man
may be wise in his own eyes, but a poor man who has discernmentcies
through him. When the righteous triumph, there's great elation. But when the
wicked rise to power, men going to hide him. He who conceals his
sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. Blesses
the man who always fears the lord, but he who hardens his heart falls
into trouble. Like a roaring lying or a charging bearer, is a wicked
man ruling over a helpless people. A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment, but he
who hates ill gotten gain will enjoy a long life. A man tormented by
the guilt of murder will be a fugitive till death. Let no one support
him. He whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but he whose ways
are perverse will suddenly fall. He who works his land will have an abundant
food, but the one who chases fantasies will have is full of poverty.
A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will
not go and punish to show partial partiality. Partiality to show partiality is not
good. Yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread. M
a stingy man is eager to get rich and is unaware that poverty awaits him.
He who rebukes a man will in the end gain more favor than he
who has a flattering tongue. He who robs his father or mother and says
it is not wrong, he is a partner to him who destroys a greedy
masters up dissension. But he who trusts in the Lord will prosper. He
who trusts in himself as a fool, But he who walks in wisdom is
kept safe. He who gives to the poor will lack nothing. But he
who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. When the wicked rights to
power, people go into hiding. But when the wicked parish, the righteous
thrive. Yes, yes, y'all, that's the Book of Proverbs, chapter
twenty eight, reading right there. Okay, I would love to read this
in commentary scripture that's included within it. Okay, God is those who follow
him. The Book of Provers chapter twenty nine, verse eighteen, where there
is no revelation, the people cast off for strength, But blessed is he
who keeps the law. All right, I was with them twenty nine,
but included as well. I will also litter read this commentary with them provers
twenty eight. Okay, So let's go with the commentary. Today's Bible reading
the Book of Proverbs chapter twenty eight, versus one through fourteen. Recommended reading
Psalm fifty one versus one through nineteen, and also the Book of First John
chapter one, versus five through ten. The title of this commentary is coming
Clean, Coming Clean, Okay. Edgar Ellen Pole's Edgar Allan Poe's short story
short story to Tell Tale The Tell Tale Heart offers the gruesome account of a
murderer who hides his victim's body under the floor birds floorboards of his house.
The murderer, confident that he has committed the perfect crime, invites people investigates
it to his home. He cheerly answers their questions, convinced that nothing in
his demeanor will give him away. However, the murderer doesn't expect to hear
the sound of a beating heart coming from beneath his floor. He wonders why
the police officers don't notice the sound, after all, is loud enough for
him to hear. He tries to stay nonchalant, but the heartbeat grows louder
and louder in his ears. Still the officers don't notice. Finally, unable
to take it anymore, the mass shrieks his confession and begs the police officers
to tear up the floor and remove the body, anything to quiet the tale
tales heart Not all offenses result in such dramatic confessions. In fact, many
people don't feel the need to confess their sins to God, ignoring his property
to come clean. Solomon reveals the foolishness of such self delusion. Simply put,
trying to hide sin from God interrupts and weakens your relationship with him.
When you confess what you've done and sincerely ask for God's forgiveness, the distance
closes and your relationship heals. God doesn't put a statue of limitations on sin,
so any obstacles you put in the way of your relationship with And remain
there until you take action to remove them. However, if you're sincere about
wanting God's forgiveness, you'll receive it. Amen. Things to take away from
the commentary, are you sincere about wanting God's forgiveness? In what ways does
your life show this to be true? Is they're unconfessing in your life right
now? If so, what effect is it having on your relationship with God?
On your own self respect? What do you need to do in order
to relieve yourself of guilt and patch up your relationship with God? Quote unquote.
In other words, the guilty think, all task all talkers of themselves
Jeffrey Chaucer quote unquote. Right, So that's the commentary right there about coming
clean, all right, coming clean people, confession, admission, crying out
to God, call out on him. Okay, yes, yes, that's
the book of proverbship between he ate reading, with the commentary included as well
in commentary scripture. Okay, now let us go to Proverbs chapter twenty nine.
All right, Proverbs chapter twenty nine. Here we go. A man
who remains stiff neck after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy. When
the righteous thrive, the people rejoice, When the wicked rule the people grown.
A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but a companion
of prostitute squanders his wealth. By justice, the king gives a country stability,
but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down. Whoever flatters his
neighbor is spreading a net for his feet. An evil man is snared by
his own sin, but a righteous one can sing and be glad, and
be glad. The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked
have no such concern. Mocker stir up a city, but wise men turn
away anger. If a wise man goes to court with a fool, the
full rages and scoffs, and there is no peace. Bloodthirsty men hate a
man of integrity, as seek to kill the upright. A fool gives full
vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. If
a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked. The poor man
and the oppress I have this in common. The Lord gives sight to the
eyes of both. If a king judges the poor with fairness, his throne
will always be secure. The rod of correction imparts wisdom. But a child
left to himself disgraces his mother. When the wicked thrive, so does sin.
But the righteous will see their downfall. Discipline your son, and he
will give you peace. He will bring delight to your soul. Where there
is no revelation. The people cast off restraint, but blesses he who keeps
the law. A servant cannot be corrected by mere words. Though he understands,
he will not respond. Do you see a man who speaks in haste?
There is more hope for a fool than for him. If a man
pampers his servant from youth, he will bring grief in the end. An
angry man, an angry masters up dissension, and a hot tempered one commits
many sins. A man's pride brings him low, but a man of lowly
spirit gains honor. The accomplaints. The accomplice of a thief is his own
enemy. He is put under oath, and dare not to testify. Fear
of man will prove to be a snare. But whoever trust in the Lord
is kept safe. Many seek an audience with a ruler. But it is
from the Lord that man gets justice. The righteous detested dishonest, the wicked
detest the upright. All right, that's a book of provert ship of twenty
nine reading. All right, now, let us go to book a private
shop to thirty. Okay, the Book of provert Shop to thirty. Here
we go, all right. Sayings of a girl Proverbs thirty the sayings of
a girl son of Jacky Jaquet an oracle. This man declare to Iael,
to Iael, and to you call you kale. You call I am the
most ignorant of men. I do not have a man's understanding. I have
not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One, who has
gone up to heaven and come down, who has gathered up the wind in
the hollow of his hands, who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak,
who has established all the ends of the earth. What is his name?
In the name of his son? Tell me if you know every word
of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in
him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and
prove your liar. Two things I ask of you, Oh Lord, do
not refuse me before I die. Keep falsehood and lies far from me.
Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.
Otherwise I may have too much and disown you and say who is the Lord?
Or I may become poor and still, and so dishonor the name of
my God. Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will
curse you, and you will pay for it. There are those who curse
their fathers and do not bless their mothers. Those who are pure in their
own eyes, and yet are not cleansed of their filth. Those whose eyes
are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful, those teeth are swords,
and whose jaws are set with knives, to devour the poor from the
earth, the needy from among the mankind, the meat fromong mankind. The
leech has two daughters, give, give, they cry. There are three
things that are never satisfied, four that are never four that never say enough.
The grave, the brent wound land, which is never satisfied. With
water and fire which never says enough. The eye that mocks a father,
that scorns obedience to a mother will be pecked out by the ravens of the
alley, will be eaten by the vultures. There are three things that are
too amazing for me, for that I do not understand. The way of
an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a
man with a maiden. This is the way of an adulteress. She eats
and wipes her mouth and says, I've done nothing wrong. Under three things,
the earth trembles. Under four it cannot bear up a servant who becomes
king, a fool who is full of food, an unloved woman who is
married, and a maid servant who displaces her mistress. Four things on earth
are small, yet they are extremely wise. Aunts are creatures of little strength,
yet they store up their food in the summer. Knes Kanas are creatures
of little power, yet they make their home. And the crags locus have
no king, yet they advanced together in ranks. A lizard can be caught
with the hand, yet it is found in king's palaces. There are three
things that are stately in their stride, the four that move with stately bearing
a lion mighty among beasts who retreats before nothing, a strutting rooster, a
he goat, and a king with his army around him. If you have
played the fool and exalted yourself, or if you planned evil, clap your
hand over your mouth, For as churning the milk produces butter. And as
twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife. All right,
it's the Book of Proverbs, chapter thirty reading all right, well,
I'll live to do is read the in commentary scripture with them Proverbs chapter thirty
okay, titled God is Flawless. The Book of Proverbs chapter thirty, verse
five. Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those
who take refuge in him. Yes, yes, y'all, most definitely amen.
Now let us go to the Book of Proverbs chapter thirty one. Yes,
yes, y'all, proverts thirty one, the last chapter of Proverbs.
Yes, yes, here we go. Sayings of King Lumiel Lemuel Lemuel,
the Saints of King Lumuel Lemuel an oracle his mother taught him. O my
son, old son of my womb, old son of my fowls, do
not spend your strength on women, your vigor, your vigor on those who
ruin kings. It is not for kings, Olumiel, not for kings to
drink wine, not for rules to crave beer, Lest they drink and forget
what the law decrees, and deprive all the old press of their rights.
Give beard to those who are perishing. Wine to those who are in anguish.
Let them drink and forget their poverty, and remember their misery. No
more, speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights
of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly, defend the rights
of the poor and needy. Epilogue. The Wife of noble character. A
wife of noble character who can find she is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings
them good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects
wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships
bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still dark.
She provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. She considers
a field and buys it out of her earnings. She plants a vineyard.
She sets about. She sets about her work vigorously. Her arms are strong
for her task. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp
does not go out at night, and her hand she holds the distaff and
grabs the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor,
and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows. She has no
fear for a household, for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She
makes coverings for her bed. She is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among
the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and
supplies the merchants with sashas. She is clothed with strength and dignity. She
can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful
instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household,
and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children are her children,
arise and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her.
Many women do noble things, but you surpass them. All. Charm is
deceptive, and beauty is fleeting. But a woman who fears the Lord is
to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her
works bring her praise at the city gate. Amen, y'all, that you
have it. That's the whole entire reading of the Book of Proverbs. Very
excellent read. There's a very excellent way to end it, Amen. Very
beautiful, well written words right there, all the Book of Proverbs. Man,
that is some game right there that we all need upo our lives every
day, the whole entire word of God or something we need apply in our
lives every day. Amen. But Proverbs is very straight to the point,
very effective, very brief and relatable. Amen. So it's important how we
handle everyday matters with communication, interactions with people, how we handle situations and
living for the Lord and everything that we do. Amen, most definitely y'all.
Okay, So what I would love to do as our close out is
give all the praise, honor and glory to the most High God of Abraham,
might skin Jacob and praise only begne son who died for our sins,
Amen, most definitely y'all. Also here we go, yes, yes,
Amen, give him glory given, praise, worship him, call on his
name, clap your hands all of that. Yes, Yes, the true
hope for you man to y'all, our true source. Yes, he is
the Adam, the Second Adam, the Last Adam, the Advocate, the
Almighty, true Living God, the Alpha and Omega. Amen. The apostle
of our profession, the arm of the Lord, the atony sacrifice for our
sins. The Author finisher of our faith, the Author perfector of our faith,
the Author of Life, the Author of Salvation, the beginning in the
end, the beginning of creation of God, the beloved Son, the blessing
